A great local pub to have a drink with friends or a nice meal from their extensive menu. A versatile list of specials is always up for consideration. The staff are friendly ,efficient and nothing is too much trouble. There is a bonus marquee area on the south side of the hotel which is terrific area to enjoy the fresh air and perfect on a warm Melbourne evening🙏🏻

The place is such a hidden gem that I'm so glad to have discovered. Quite a busy spot no matter what day of the week you decide to go but once you experience it, you'll understand why. Such a diverse menu (which I'm currently making my way through since moving to the area) but below is a picture of the roast I got on Wednesday!(yes Sunday roast midweek 11/10!!) The portion was so big, I couldn't finish it but as the dessert passed our table, we had to order them and we were delighted that we had found room for them! 🤤The most friendliest and efficient of staff , which is usually the downside to dining out these days that go above and beyond to Make sure you're happy. Even when they are very busy and have given you the bill, they go out of their way to take your card to the bar to tap to save you getting up from the table (which is highly appreciated when you've overindulged)😂. Try it and watch it quickly become your local 😃

Love the Rising Sun. Super friendly staff who always have a smile and a hello no matter how busy they are. A good range of beers and wines so something for everyone and the food is great "pub grub". There is always a good range of meals available so so always some thing new to try or the perennial favourites there is always a choice to be had. The sticky date pudding is fantastic too.

Traditional pub with reliable food and both indoor and outdoor seating. Went here on Melbourne Cup day since they have TAB machines in the back bar for punters. Apparently it's also the unofficial home of the Swans when they're back in South Melbourne, with historical club photos on the walls and menus.

Great local pub. A number of TVs showing all kinds of sports, plenty of room for families, good outdoor space and enough quieter corners for those not interested is busy dinners and sports. Good quality meals and very generous portions. Friendly and welcoming staff.

A well recommended pub near st kilda road. Price is very reasonable and food is awesome. They also have dishes like curry of the day or fish of the day etc.
