Love the new grilled chicken burger and still love the onion rings. These guys know how to do it every time. Always a chilled spot to get out of the cold.
I went in last night for a few beers and a burger with some pals and had a great time. The food was amazing, they have Goose Island ON TAP and there are board games for a bit of fun. The staff are cool, the music was good. I’ll definitely be coming back for sure.
I quite like Mr Burger. They churn out a very consistent product. The South Yarra store is decked out quite nicely. The service is very friendly, especially the tall guy with the hair. He knows who he is. Mr Burger chips are tasty which is important. I've had the Mr Burger and the Mr Meat. I had the swiss cheese and mushroom one with onion rings and that was delicious. With so many burger places on Chapel Street, Mr Burger stays strong.
Good little joint with everything cooked fresh to order. Had the Mr Meat and if I had of known the size of the patty I probably would have doubled down on the meat as it was fairly small but gee it was delicious. Great flavours and excellent fresh bun. Great chips and trucker mayo to go with it too. Worth a visit if you feel like a good burg and not wanting to feel sick after eating one.
Mr Burger is a recent edition on Chapel Street. This fun little burger shop is easy to spot and sure to keep busy thanks to it’s great menu and tasty milkshakes. This trendy burger joint is also licensed and what could be better than beer and a burger!. The menu is simple but appealing. Personally, I tend to steer away from ‘hamburgers’ but there weren’t many alternatives in the light of chicken options for me as I prefer a chicken breast rather than fried chicken.
Burger fanatics across Melbourne are no strangers to the burger delights of Mr Burger, which has seen quite a significant expansion of their empire over the years. It's no surprise really given the simple but precise combination of quality ingredients and sauces used in their beef burgers. And while beef burgers appear to be their specialty, they also offer a crispy chicken and vegetarian falafel option. One of their newest locations is the South Yarra eatery, which we checked out one weeknight a few weeks ago. As per usual, the burger fare was spot on, with a few new additions to the menu from when I last visited. Poutine, anyone?
I usually get the falafel burger here (with added chips inside) and it's pretty good. Sometimes I've had the falafel patty super crispy crunchy on the outside and that was amazing! It probably depends on who is cooking it though, some times it's a bit softer.

Ordered Mr Burger, $19 including chips, drink and adding bacon, so we are expecting a good standard .... It arrives and it smells great, dive into the chips and they are piping hot, crunchy and soft I'm the middle.
Bite into the burger and the flavours are great, meat cooked perfectly, lettuce is crisp and the pickle ads balance.
Only criticism, would be that the burger is a little thin, but this thought disappears by the end of the meal, I am full.
The burgers are pretty good for the price. Service was a bit slow when we went but it's still not a bad option for a decent bite when you're in the area.
For $10-15 per burger, plus the name, you'd expect them to be burger connoisseurs. Sadly, they arent. The menu is very limited, and the burgers very simplistic. There is definitely a quality in ingredients that can't be paralleled with fast food places such as McD but I would say it's definitely plain overpriced; as it looks like all its meant to be is a 'quick and simple' burger stop. There is always a wait however and they dont do meal deals last time I was there. I will say I love their chips though, the batter is lovely.
Good burgers at a good and affordable price ($10-15). It's also refreshing to see a vegetarian option. Only downside is I was disappointed the only chicken item on the menu didn't include many ingredients. Pretty much just lettuce and onion and sauce. Would have been nice to maybe have avocado or mushroom or cheese added to it. But that's alright still had other things to choose from. The onion runs were delicious! Fries were nothing special, just burnt and crispy.
I personally like the burgers here. The meat is juicy and tender and the bun is soft. It's my go to burger joint. I think service varies but I'm partial to the tall guy with the frizzy hair tied back. He knows what he's doing.
My Saturday night out ended up here with two of my girlfriends and wow, I couldn't be more pleased that we stumbled to this restaurant.
I got the Mr. Meat. It was so fresh! The meat was juicy, full of flavour and it had the PERFECT amount of sauce. I am usually really fussy with my burgers & haven't jumped onto the whole 'American burger' bandwagon however, this burger was to die for. Loved every minute of it.
The chips were also so crisp, fresh and delicious!!!

Love Mr Burger. Their chicken burger is one of the best - big piece of fried, juicy chicken. Tasty bun. This restaurant on Chapel St is nice. We went early on a weekday, so didn't take long. They did get my order wrong (confused with another order), but fixed it.

Mr. Burger sits on the busy Caphel St. in the heart of Praharn and that is where I was today. Their burger menu has 6 options which you can upgrade with extras or double meat.
I have ordered a Mr. Burger ($10) with Bacon ($2) plus a serve of chipotle shaker chips ($4).
The wait was over 20min but the staff were under the pump due to online / deliveries orders (possibly ubereats or deliveroo), hence waiting was not too much of an issue (a side from my parking spot).
The burger arrives wrapped in foil which it helps to not falling apart as well as it is cleaner. The paddy was cooked as it should be and it was tasty and juicy, all the flavours worked out to achieve a good burger. The chips were average once the sprinkle powder was added they became more interesting. Nothing out of this world but I can consider myself very happy with it and I would surely come back to try other items of the menu.
They serve a good range of beers and drinks and they accept both cards and cash for payments.

Mr Burgers and chips and loved every mouthful - (it's the first time I have ordered via Uber eats , delivery was quick and efficient - I would have liked to order chilli on one of the burgers or ordered Mr hot minus the Bacon but could not find that option )

We tried Mr Burger tonight and adored it! The staff were friendly and service was quick even though they were really busy. The burgers are delicious, they are just like homemade burgers, all the ingredients were super fresh and tasty. The menu is also super cheap and simple. The size of the burger was perfect; we were able to enjoy every bite, without getting your classic burger food coma.
TIP: Do try the Mr Burger- simple and delicious. Don't forget to order some chips, they are light and tasty.

I really like this burger joint! Have tried their mr chicken twice, and would like to try the others later on. Surely will come back - very nice bun, tasty dressing and perfectly fried chicken!
Just wanted to try the Mr. Nice guy which is a bacon cheeseburger but yours truly had to up the serving.
On order: Mr Nice guy with 2 patties and cheese with jalapeños, Mr. Chicken with bacon and cheese, cheese sticks, and trucker fries.
Not really gonna go into depth to it, it's old matey Mr. Burger making a bacon cheeseburger. What's there to fault? The rest of the order was pretty much a regular comfort food.

Mr Burger, their trucks are welcome in any ‘burb and lucky old Chapel Street has a bricks and mortar home with burgers just waiting to be picked up or you can grab a seat inside. The is super simple, Mr Burger is your cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mustard, ketchup and mayo. Mr Meat has a little more going on with BBQ sauce and caramelised onions. Mr Hot has onion rings, bacon and chilli mayo. And then you can have chicken, double burgers and some veggie.
Really good unexpected tasty lunch only thing chips and mayo were spilt threw the bag other wise nice burger tasted more boutique then fast food

Gimme a Mr Burger with a serve of those trucker fries and I'll be your best friend! I'm not such a fan of their chips just plain, but when you get the trucker ones with the ranch sauce, bacon and onion they are OMG-amazing! Burgers are juicy and the bun to meat to filling ratio is perfect. This place makes me seriously happy!
Pretty mean burgers here, stacked out with goodies and so fresh off the grill, place is humming with custom and service is quick , onion rings and chips also good but portion of onion rings could be bigger, a definite for me again when in the area.
Actually, my first time of Mr. Burger was from Mr. Burger truck @ Docklands during Christmas time (quite long time ago). There were also other food trucks nearby, but I was tempted with the long queue for Mr. Burger. Long queue indicates that the food is good.
First bite of Mr. Burger taught me, the world of burger is not just McDonald's and Hungry Jack only. Yup, quite ashamed that my burger world were only 2 of them. Now, I'm looking for other burgers that at least should meet Mr. Burger standard requirement.
Recommended other colleagues to have Mr. Burger for Friday lunch after knowing it has proper shop at South Yarra. They, as burger enthusiasts, also happy with it.

As I've said many times, when it comes to 'Gourmet' burgers, reviews and opinions vary. I've never considered Mr Burger to be 'Gourmet' because their menu is straight forward. The burgers are big, messy and full of flavour which is what you want a burger to be. If you want a pretty looking 'designer' burger, then go to Rockpool and pay $40.
I don't think the burgers here are world class but they beat most Gourmet burgers any day of the week. Every time I have had a burger from here I've wanted to nap, which is a good sign.
Sitting on Chapel St smashing a big burger while shoppers walk past and look at the sauce and cheese on my face and all over my hands, loving life!
I've only been here for lunch and their burgers are pretty good. My favourite is the spicy burger #MyHot which is quite different to the rest of the burgers. However, one thing I've noticed is they can be a little under-staffed and could take a while if gets busy during the day.
Haven't had a bad burger from here, had the spicy one and the normal and both times very satisfying a the chips are delicious however the toppings are a little of a let down. Bacon is generic shitty stuff and the cheese is not melted it's frozen and thawed...

This place fills all those typical American fast food burger cravings. Trucker chips are also loaded with cheesy and bacon goodness. Service is super slow when they're busy as they never have more than 3 people working!?

Best burgers in Melbourne! Have been to so many burger joints and still think this one hits the spot at the top! The service is always consistent, always friendly and never fail to put a smile on your face! Fresh ingredients and a soft and sweet bun that isn't super oily! If you find a Mr Burger food truck is close by its always a great stop for burger cravings. Highly recommend for burger lovers, and even for those who are non lovers willing to give it a try :-)

Better than average. Young, hip staff who are probably happy they are flipping burgers here than up the road at McD's. Fast service and the burger came out pretty quickly. I had a Mr Hot, and it was pretty good value, with chips and a water at $18. No extra credit card fees.
The Mr Hot burger had a slight kick to it and not overpowering, which was nice. It was pretty tasty actually, with onion rings giving it some crunch. The chips were pretty average - nice but nothing to write home about.
A good place to eat n run - you don't really want to hang around and chat.

Mr burger is the closest burger joint to where we live and it is very good indeed. What started out as a food truck(it still operates) is very popular and they have added quite a few things to their menu recently including the burger reviewed below and milkshakes(which are quite good).
So so delicious!! My favourite is the mr meat, the chips are great and a very generous serving size, and the onion rings are good. Food is fast an cheap
Huxtaburger has nothing.. Best American style burgers. from the shop or the truck it doesn't matter. Don't waste your time with anything else.

Mr Hot, an amazing burger indeed.. I've had a lot of burgers in my time, and Mr Burger has always been amazing, so, I was compelled to finally write a review.
Tonight I ordered the Mr Hot with a small chips and I was blown away. Perfectly cooked patty and quality ingredients as always. Mr Hot consists of a beef patty, cheese, bacon, onion rings, chilli mayonnaise and jalapeños. Yum!
Yum. I had been looking forward to checking out Mr Burger for a few weeks and it did not disappoint. Sat outside with the bf enjoyed a Mr Burger and Mr Meat burger with a side of chips with bacon and cheese sauce. Delicious and not enough to make me hate myself after. Will be back.
Wanted a quick drive past dinner that evening and saw mr burger. I first heard of mr burger when they were still a food truck but didn't really get down to trying them. Also because beatbox was pretty much dominating the trucking scene then, so every cheat-day goes to them.
Walked in around 6pm, plenty of seats. I would say this outlet does great service, the guy at the counter basically customized my burger (yes.im fairly picky. no pickles, no bacon and not too much onions please!) Patty was decently cooked and not dry, I wanted mine a little more med-rare but he cooked it a little more than that. Flavour of the patty was maintained despite the whole chez, veg, mustard sauce all going on. Buns wise- huxta still takes the cake, but its pretty decent. Fries a tad soggy but im not a fan of crispy fries either.
Overall, I would say that mr burger is comparable w beatbox now considering how beatbox has kinda took a dip on my burger grid.
7/10 for burger decency
These guys keep it simple and absoloutely nail it. I love my burgers and this place hands down provides the best of the best. The service is also terrific, went in yesterday and the two guys working were so polite. Such a relief and a rare combination to get a good feed with some excellent service.
Enjoyed the burger here so much I came back the next day. Good ingredients make a big difference. Ask for patty to be cooked more if you do not like it pink. (in USA restaurants usually ask how you would like it cooked...hopefully these new "gourmet" burger places start adopting this.
I do like this place, but today I received a bun which was on it's way to stale. Please be more careful if you're going to use yesterday's buns because I will have to stop eating at Mr Burger if my next bun isn't fresh.

Nice tasting burger, Definately nothing healthy tastes more like maccas than something like grill'd but they are american style I guess. For a junk fix they are awesome :) only thing is the patty's need more cooking and the staff kinda work like half asleep turtles

Has the crisply grilled flavour, buns toasted on the inside. Image doesn't do it justice given we usually always get takeaway. Never been disappointed with burgers here, anything with bacon just makes it even better.
Solid as veggie burger. Normally veggie patty burgers are super boring but these had a good crutch and nice flavour with really friendly Crew. They also have a few games there like UNO and Jenga which was a nice touch for a burger place
I’ve had a rough couple days so I went to my trusty local burger joint for a bit of a treat. My Mr Veg was perfect as usual (I get jalapeños in it). One of the heartiest vegetarian burgers I’ve ever found. The guy at the desk suggested a try onion rings and they were awesome, but I really got the pick me up I needed when I had a laugh and a bit of dance with the staff. They were awesome and I want to say thank-you! You’re always a good time but I really needed it today. Best lunch ever.
These guys do a great burger, definitely in my top 5 in Melbourne.
The trucker chips are a must also! Had some on Xmas eve, only downside was they were too heavy with the salt on this occassion. However usually they are wicked!
Good range of burgers and reasonably priced
I took my French Canadian husband here in the search of ‘real poutine’. The fries were excellent, crispy and seasoned. The cheese curds were very good too, even had some squeekiness. The gravy was not the authentic brown sauce but nevertheless not bad. He was a happy man!
This place gave me one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. The mr.hot burger has the perfect amount of spice with the best balance of texture between juicy patty, crispy bacon and sesame tainted squishy bun.
