Everything was impeccable! The interior was nice, rustic, clean and unique and the service was just WOW!! I don't think I have been at a restaurant where they are as nice as here. They were so nice, that they were happy to still cook us something, even though the kitchen was closed. It was really sweet for the manager to suggest us dishes and help us order. The food was really delicious. The presentation, could be a little better. I can't wait until they finish up with the menu. I know this place will do well. I reckon this place will be very popular for brunch. Looking forward to more authentic Mediterranean food.

Wow where do I start ? I am so impressed with the food I ordered, the friendly staff,chef, new owners.... the flavours are definitely spot on.
Everything I ate was absolutely done with heart and expertise. I'm so glad I made the decision to just pop in. This place will not disappoint your taste buds.
I think/know that I have found a regular place to eat and feel very welcome.
What a great find! We were in the vicinity and wanted somewhere for a casual Sunday lunch with our two kids. The Third Place cafe was perfect. Friendly service, a warm, inviting atmosphere and delicious food, wine & coffee. Plenty of books to keep the kids entertained. We loved reading about the interesting history of this beautiful bluestone property and we really enjoyed going for a walk around the lake after lunch. We'll be back!

Located in a beautiful old blue stone homestead, this is a gorgeous little cafe that has a lot to offer in the middle of nowhere. Fantastic food, friendly service, welcoming and chilled out atmosphere.
For food I got the Bird on Brioche which was a seasoned chicken breast that maintained lots of succulence and flavour topped with caramelized pineapple, tomato and lettuce. Verrry tasty. It also came with a side of hand cut chips, and let me tell you - I like a good chip. This was a great chip. A little side of house made garlic aoili and I was a very happy lass.
Mr. Husband got the Minute Steak which had tomato relish, pickle, mustard and Spanish onion which bought out the flavour of the steak - ALSO came with the side of hand cut chips that somehow managed to be enormous thick chips that were soft and fluffy on the inside and super crunchy on the outside.
We ordered a coffee to go, they use 5 Senses coffee in their grinders so we knew it was going to be a nice brew, however it was slightly on the burnt side and a little underwhelming.
Overall though we were very happy and look forward to returning with friends and family.
What a great little place! Just walking through the door made me hungry smelling the great woodfired food being prepared! Lovely coffee too.
Flat white to go strong, and did it give me a kick! Perfect temp and ratio. Was too busy checking out the tables and interior to take notice of the beans and if they had customer rewards cards!
This is our favorite local stop for breakfast. The food is delish, heaps of flavour & eggs always cooked perfectly. And we can not get enough of the great coffees.. Often we get 2 with our breakfast.. Haven't tried lunch or dinner but it's on the to do list..

We shared a range of entrees and dips, which were delicious!!
Then I tried the vegetation risotto for a change and it was tasty but it lacked a little seasoning. Easy fix please pass the salt n pepper.
Great wine list, local and international, with local wines about $42 average but really good. Why did I volunteer to drive?? Hahaha
The service was good given they were extremely busy with a function. The staff were friendly and professional.
If you are in the area, this is one place that I can definitely recommend. But I wouldn't drive next time hahaha
If the Swine is to be Frank for a moment, Third Place Cafe is in the middle of nowhere!! Yes Wollert is exactly there - in the middle of nowhere. The Swine decided to venture out to no mans land this morning - just for the sake of it. He was not well - especially in the head. This is the Swine's second visit to the Third Place. Today was just a coffee fix but the place does do rather beautiful Italian style foodies. This place is a quaint blue stone structure with a big kitchen set up and lovely dining room. The feel is relaxing and the fireplace is great on a wet day like today. Staff are friendly and my coffee was pootah good. Locals must love this place - and so must the display home attendees all around. Curious birds should check this place out.

Great Breakfast Menu, all our 3 breakfasts were beautifully presented and very nice indeed, those spinach sour dough balls were great, will definitely return to this lovely spot with a very warm atmosphere, evening though my eggs were over cooked, coffee was great as well.
Absolutely first class cuisine. Great service, good ambience, comfortable temperature. Local talent playing beautiful Jazz standards was just so nice, on a Sunday afternoon. Will definitely go back again and tell others to do the same.
Another great local find. Woodfire pizza is excellent, and up there as one of my favs. Mains that we tried were good, using seasonal ingredients. Decent sized kids meals, and friendly staff. Definitely will go back.
Very pretty setting - cosy indoors with an open fire crackling away! An outdoor area for Summer. Coffee was excellent and food was very good. Service was professional, albeit a little cool. Thought this was a great find in the area! Will be back.

Amazing food and coffee! I get a coffee almost everyday from 3rd place! You must try the smoked lamb shanks!! 😃 The pizza and breakfast are a must as well!! Highly recommended! You won't find food like this anywhere else in the area!

We caught up with friends who sugested 3rd Place as it was close by . having read the reviews went there expecting the worst. This restaurant is an oasis in a desert of pubs and shopping mall eateries. The food was excellent, generous portions , beautiful presentation. Nice winter menu , my husband had the lamb shanks , and I had the porterhouse steak both were perfectly cooked and very tasty and as good as any meal we have had at expensive inner city restaurants. The service was very good our desserts eere delicious. I cant wait to eat here again. It is sad that people complain about the price, you get what you pay for if you want cheap go to Mc Donalds
Fresh, home cooked, all that good stuff… my meal was great, and I would love to try their other pastas too. Servings on the smaller size though.

What a great find in wollert/epping! wood fire pizza was delicious & the meals were fresh & tasty. Desserts were divine!! Especially the Italian doughnuts filled with custard... Service was very friendly & efficient... honestly a great night & excellent atmosphere!
Wonderful authentic Italian food. Lovely Tiramisu and always has decaf coffee! Enjoyed the open fire and friendly service, great pasta and glass of wine special happening at the moment, can definitely recommend Third Place.

Coffee bad, food good. Terrible coffee which is disappointing. Definitely need to invest in a barista to be at the restaurant at all service time. However, food is incredible every time i have been there.
I had lunch with a friend and thought it was lovely. The waiter was attentive and quickly brought a freshly baked biscuit for little miss 4. I ordered the borlotti soup which was so home made. The arancini were divine and the gnocchi was so light and fluffy. I will definitely be back. Oh yeah and the coffee was great too.
Had the most delightful lunch today! Beautiful ricotta, spinach and sage dumplings followed by an amazing coffee and fantastic Tiramisu. Dumplings were cooked to perfection and served very elegantly, while the tiramisu was packed with flavour, very authentic and served so beautifully. Will definitely be returning. So lovely to have a fine restaurant in this area finally!
Went there for dinner last night and have been a few times before for lunch, high quality food, good service, pride is fair for a local legitimate restaurant, kudos to the third place for providing the area with a delightful local gourmet restaurant.
Loved the ravioli napolitana that chef whipped up for me, was the best I've ever had, keep up the good work.

The Third Place took fantastic care of our table of seven including my fussy nan and password. The salmon pizza and spaghetti vongole (fresh home made pasta.... Yum) were stand out but everything was fantastic including the coffee and the service. I loved the gorgeous huge wood tables too.

Great discovery!. Seven of us tried it for dinner last night. Beautiful food and great service. Lovely ambiance. There was a delay with some dishes but the owner himself came over to speak to us and explain. Worth the wait. Will definitely go back.
Finally a cafe in Epping / Wollert has opened up with Melbourne quality made coffee! We no longer have to travel into the city to just enjoy a coffee and relax. Food is great, coffee is great with a selection of blends and service is also up there. Love what the owners have done with the place and it will look fantastic once it is finished.
The barista is wonderful, he speaks on human terms and takes pride in his coffee. He mingles with the customers and isn't just hidden behind the coffee machine.
The coffee made by the barista will give some of the inner city well known places a run for their money.
If you are in the area give it ago you might be surprised.

Best cafe in the north? I think so! I had the Bircher muesli which was full of fresh and flavourful seasonal fruit accompanied with beautiful yogurt drizzled with the perfect quantity of honey to give it that subtle sweetness and drizzled with almond flakes every spoonful of this dish put me in food heaven
My partner had the smashed avocado and egg with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes she was very happy with her decision I tasted her dish and was equally pleased the poached eggs were honestly cooked impeccably
And to top it off the juices are all made fresh with crushed fruit thrown in the juicer you can really taste the difference what can I say I highly recommend this place not many amazing breakfast places like this exist in the north
Suggest you support The Third Place - this is the level and quality I experience in Melbourne CBD daily - very good coffee (5 Seeds using Synesso machine and experienced barista), good selection of food including healthy options and staff that are interested in the patrons needs.
Great new cafe. Food coffee staff cannot fault good portions flavoursome food and decentlly priced. venue itself mixes old and new in a stylish way, relaxed atmosphere

The coffee!. Wowee - who would have expected to find such great coffee so far north? Synesso machine and 5 Senses beans means a latte as good as anything you will find in the city (look at the pic!).
I'm told they are serving only a limited menu right now (sandwiches, pastries, etc) till their kitchen opens. Look forward to a full brunch menu - but for now, definitely worth popping in just for the coffee. I suspect this secret place will become packed and popular very soon.
