Sometimes you just need a convenient spot to stop for a coffee when out shopping, and Little Sparrow in the Emporium is in a convenient location, making it a great spot for a mid shop pit stop. There is plenty of seating and the area is kept nice and clean. Service is efficient even though it is a busy location, and the staff were friendly and chatty on my last visit.
My coffee was of a pretty high standard, and I picked a yummy vanilla slice from the tempting display cabinet. It's my daughters favourite, so it was a lovely treat to share. There is a large array of swert treats, pastries and sandwiches, and they are generally fresh and tasty. This Little Swallow franchise is probably my favourite of all of their locations, and I find it a great choice when I need a coffee in a hurry.
I often order the skinny latter with 1 sugar here, and find that it's consistent and can honestly say this is the only Little Sparrow I'd order a typical latte from. I used to have it at Chadstone branch and it was a bit average. Little Sparrow is a chain so the quality will vary across the branches.
Perfect place for quick tea or coffee meeting. Service is quick and attentive. Easy to get a seat too. Love the little touch of my complimentary biscuit for my tea.
Will I be back? Sure
I have been at Little Sparrow in many Locations and I pretty much enjoy the quality of coffee and relaxed environment.. However, Emporium location is a bit noisy for sitting and chilling out.
I wish there is a proper shop there soon.
Good quick service and for a shopping precinct cafe it was really good. Coffee was good and my apricot danish was fresh and enjoyable. I liked the additional biscuit served with the coffee and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a pick me up.
100% lové thé staff hère. Made the experience just that much better. Great banter, love their vibe. Great coffee too. Can’t complain I guess
The one place I trust for my caffeine needs. Solid coffee stop whether I’m on my way to work or looking for a place to catch up with friends. Very speedy service and will go through a queue of people ASAP !
Not a gourmet coffee and afternoon tea place. But it’s a convenient place to get something to drink and eat for exhausting shopping, a good place to “leave” your partner who is get bored of shopping whole day. Heehee~
A lovely little cafe in emporium serving coffee and cake. I’m never disappointed in my usual order of a soy latte however it can get quite busy in the afternoons.
Always a lovely coffee shop to visit when we are at the Emporium. Beautiful coffee, my soy latte isn’t “milky”. Great selections of cakes and pastries. You’re lucky if you get a table straight up since this place is always busy.
Little Sparrow is a great little cafe offers A good little menu although I only ever stop here for a coffee which is pretty good. Will need to stop by to have some food soon
Located at emporium shopping centre , the customer service is great , the taste of coffee is great ordered the New York cheese cake tasty thumbs up , and the price so reasonable.cheers
Always a really GOOD creamy strong balanced coffee & quick service. I order a large soy latte most times. It’s becoming harder and harder to find consistently good coffee in Melbourne, I find “trendy” cafes have a high barista turn over and the quality varies. Little sparrow baristas are amazing & so cool!! Thanks guys !!! P.s the chocolate brownies are SOO crazy I highly recommend...but be careful if you work around here like me because one a day is ....d a n g e r o u s :P
This is a cute little cafe located inside the Emporium shopping complex. I enjoyed a coffee and catch up here with a friend. The place was nice with great seating area that allows you to relax within the shopping mall. The coffee was nice. I would come here when shopping at Emporium for a rest before heading off to do some more shopping.
Great little spot for a quick coffee if you’re doing a spot of shopping or if you work close by. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and very inviting. I have been here many times and have noticed their coffees are a little weak and lacking the full-bodied richness that a good coffee (in my opinion) should have. I do however love their chicken and avocado sandwiches - you definitely won’t be hungry after that! If I ever find myself wondering the levels of emporium, I always seem to find myself coming back here, which I guess is testament to their great location and overall consistency of service.
Have tried the carrot cake and New York cheesecake. 4/5 for me. Coffee is decent too. Can’t comment on anything savoury. Service is actually good. Friendly but focused, smile-y and best of all: efficient.
Food: They offer some really nice cakes here. We've sampled a few and have never been disappointed - I like their black forest slice. The coffee is fine, and the tea is good!
Atmosphere: It's always busy, and can get a little crowded at times. It's on the malls in emporium, but it does have fairly large seating area. Someone you would stop for a snack while shopping, I wouldn't recommend it for lunch.
Service: The service is also very efficient and they are so helpful! Food and drinks are brought to your table, although you order at the counter. They always clear tables quickly and thoroughly too and ensure the cafe is looking clean - which is so important when it's so busy.
Would I recommend it: Yes, it's one of my favourite places to pop in while shopping for a quick sugar hit!
Did a lot of shopping on a Saturday afternoon and just want a place to have some rest and a cup of coffee. Sitting down in this busy cafe and didn't expect much but a coffee. It really surprised me when my coffee was served as it got pretty art on it with good taste.
Best coffee in the Emporium.Staff are always friendly and service is quick and efficient. Food is also delicious and it's hard not to buy a cake every time. Wouldn't get coffee anywhere else :)
This is a perfect spot to refuel after some shopping. The chairs are comfortable and the waitresses are quick in cleaning the table. We chose 3 cakes from the counter and they are incredibly rich. Probably can do with a smaller portion, or perhaps we should order less and just shared.
Love : their table number which is in the form of a bird cage. Damn, I should've taken a photo.
Coffee: was actually a good smooth strong blend. Love the atmosphere and definitely a good spot to take a break from shopping.
I would suggest take a seat and enjoy the coffee. Cakes looks delicious but I didn't have the time to enjoy it today.
Shopping in the city before work I wanted to take a break so I decided to check out little Sparrow. The coffee making was speedy which was appreciated and it had a nice balance here but for me a little on the fruity side.Good milk helped the drink here it was textured perfectly very smooth and to the perfect temperature for me.
Great spot to have coffee and cake and much quieter then the busy food court as it's a stand alone shop on level 2 with nice comfortable chairs good and service.
DO: The coffees and assorted baked goods. A great place to just rest after a day of shopping.
DON'T: Takeaway. Sit down, relax and people watch.
TIP: One of the better cafe operators in the centre. If you're sitting in, make sure you grab a table first and ask a mate to do the ordering. Grab one of their birdcage thingys.
Coffee is okay. Nothing spectacular. Very nice decoration and seatings. After you ordered they will give you a number which is a small little bird cage, i think its very creative. I love their orange chia fiand. Price is a quite steep. 4 dollars for a cup of coffee. And ±4 dollars for a small piece of orange chia fiand.
went there this morning . they were super busy. fancy spot in emporium to have a rest after shopping . delicious food and decent coffee. staff was friendly. definitely will come back again.
A spacious and well situated cafe located in the middle of Emporium. They have a fantastic selection of cakes and drinks. Recommended drink: Matcha Latte (Green tea latte) - creamy, sweet with a subtle green tea flavour (without the gritty and bitter after-taste other places have). The salted caramel brownie, caramel slice and the cinnamon buns are winners. The cakes are quite filling!

Great location for an in-mall cafe. Head here for coffee and comfortable seats. Highly recommend if you have a small meet up or just a quick munch. they also serve drinks and small bites. Great if you want to avoid the wind or sun.
Friendly staff help us to find a table when they were very busy . Beautiful latte art. Lemon cheese cake is fresh n amazing. Staff walking around always smile. Definitely will come back again.
I often visit Little Sparrow for a pot of tea to refresh myself when I’m in the city. Located inside Emporium, it is the perfect spot to relax after some retail therapy. The chairs are super comfy and the order numbers that they give you are displayed on cute birdcages.
The service I received was very friendly. Definitely prefer it over the hustle and bustle of the food court. I found the coffee to be smooth just the way I like it. Nice choice of cakes and sandwiches.
Great coffee and cake, service is also quite good. Price very acceptable at $4:00 for coffee. Chairs very comfortable and recommend for a quick break during shopping.
Great soy chai and coffee with good location in Emporium. The price isn't much for city drinks and the sizing is actually a lot (being $4 for a regular, where I have paid $4.50 on average).
Great Spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the food court - Best Coffee in the Emporium - Service was quite good and the Strawberry Cheese cake is something i recommend you try.
Love it! Just the level down from the emporium food court, so you can sit and have a convo minus the hectic food court crowd. Have had both dine in and takeaway-dine in is also better Ofcourse. And quite tasty coffee!
Hi Little Sparrow,
Hopefully you are still checking Zomato reviews as this is the only way I can find to contact you.
The phone number on this site is the concierge desk at The Emporium, and they very rudely told me you didn't have a contact number and pretty much that's that! (none of which is your fault :-)).
We love coming to your café and were there yesterday (4th May). We think my wife might have left her glasses on the table. Can you please post a contact number?
Dropped by Little Sparrow whilst we were shopping at the Emporium Melbourne whilst we were visiting for the Grand Prix Event... Great Coffee, Atmosphere and cakes do die for :)
A new cafe in Emporium with casual seating, nice and cosy. Was surprise to see the cage table number.. unique and love the idea. Coffee was great but didn't get a chance to try the food as we were heading for dinner soon. But will definitely be back again.
A relatively new cafe in emporium located in the large open space in front of Jigsaw. As such the atmosphere is open and casual, though quite slick and with comfortable seating. Love the little bird touches to the decor- like the cage table numbers - quirky attention to detail. The coffee here is excellent and very well made on the few occasions I've been there. A lovely array of cakes, muffins and sandwiches (even pumpernickel) on display. Service is good, and overall a pleasant place to relax over coffee on a shopping trip!
It's a nice spot for an afternoon tea session.
Coffee was nice and smooth, very enjoyable.
Tried one of their mousse, super nice!
The seating area is nice, seating not many but it's very spacious.
Ordered the following.
Decaf latte
Long black
Rubis Mousse Cake
GF chocolate cake supporting a dome of Vanilla white chocolate mousse, cranberry and raspberry jelly coated in red chocolate glaze + vanilla ice cream
Portuguese Tart
Great coffee for a busy morning.
Rating is between 4 and 5. It could have made a 5 easily with better view and table setup. But nevermind, it’s CBD, always at its busy life, packed and crowded. That’s why we usually get the take-aways. Anyway, it’s a 5 because the coffee here is great!
Decent coffee and tea. Seating can get a bit messy on busy days. People tend to take a seat first before ordering despite signs on tables telling them to do otherwise.
Unlike other reviews from the past yr, I had a rather good experience with them. Cake was so good, I’d surely go back for it.
I began frequenting this Cafe on a daily basis a couple of years ago. Not only is the food and service excellent, but Jasmine, the owner is a human being from whom I have learnt much. Along with her two young sons who help out during school holidays, she is always happy, gracious and also an extremely generous human being.
Nice location, good coffee and competent staff.
I always stop by little Sparrow, it has great offerings, The cakes are just Devine and the coffee is probably one of the best I have tasted nice and smooth
