Spicy Double Beef Burger
- Beef patties were a bit under-seasoned for my liking, but the jalapenos and spicy sauce made up for it.
Loaded Fries
- Cheese sauce & bacon bits & fries. What could go wrong?
Onion Rings
- Amazing. Fried to perfection and seasoned well.
Would come back and try the chicken options next time!

We ordered from Pattysmiths over the weekend on Ubereats. We got Mac n Cheese Royale and Spicy Double Beef burger along with Onion rings. Both the burgers and onion rings where delicious and big in portions. The meat was juicy, tender and cooked to perfection. Mac n Cheese Royale burger steals the show, if you are a Mac n Cheese lover or even if you are not make sure you try their burger. They gave us a free 300ml Pepsi which I feel is a kind gesture from them, especially in times like these.
Got in here just before dine in was off limits. I got the one vegan burger option. It was good tasting but I felt like it was a tad small compared to some of the burgers I’ve devoured around town. The chips and onion rings serving ordered were on the larger side and that made up for it.
Overall it was good feed but not the wow-tasteful experience I revved myself up for.
No surprises here solid burgers and fries. Not usually on this side of town but have been to the Moorabbin location. Quality was just as good!
I always struggle to decide between beef and chicken burgers and Pattysmiths hasn't made it any easier! Been here a few times now and can safely say both burgers are up there with the best! So glad they have a few locations around town! There's never one too far away :D
Loved the Moorabbin venue so decided to try while up in Flemington this weekend. Great quality burgers across the board - I tried the mushroom patty at it was delicious! Can’t recommend the onion rings with truffle mayo enough!
Pattysmiths - Handcrafted premium burgers is located at 336 Racecourse rd, Flemington.
We ordered:
Mac & cheese royale beef burger,
Fried chicken burger,
Loaded onion rings,
Fries,
Mint & Oreo Shakes,
The Mac & cheese burger was drool worthy, with the mac & cheese patty complementing the juicy beef patty just perfect.
The fried chicken burger was tasty with a delicious seasoned coating.
But the loaded onion rings were my favourite and looked amazing, with a bold crispy batter, and covered with their in-house made cheese sauce, with bacon and spring onions on top.
The kids loved the Mint & Oreo shakes.
This is a great family friendly burger house, I am looking forward to bringing the family back again.
The flavours of these burgers OMGGGGG. Seriously 10/10. Super greasy and fatty but soooo tasty! The only downfall would be the chips...they are pretty average. Not bad...just nothing to rave about. Oh and the burger buns are a little too small for my liking. We could have definitely had two each of calories didn’t exist lol
Lucky enough to have this in Uber eats range. After moving house the search for the best burger joint in range has begun.
The burger from here was pleasantly surprising. I've grown tired of big fat rare burger patties. Pattysmiths is serving up the perfect consistency of burger with delicious flavour. Not too sloppy but not too firm,
definite goldilocks experience. Would happily put this at my 3rd favorite burger in Melbourne.
Smashed patty goodness!
One of the best smashed patty joints in Melbourne! Their meat is always fresh and consistent and their burgers are satisfying and filling. Their loaded fries and onion rings are also a treat! Definitely recommend Pattysmiths to any burger lover!
Came here with the missus, really enjoyed the fried chicken burger. The side of chips were really great and we really loved the dipping sauces available. Would recommend!
After visiting the Moorabbin store, my kids and I were excited to stumble across this store in Flemington and everything was just as good as we remembered from our first visit.
We had the loaded onion rings this time and loved the sauce! The cheese flavour was fantastic and there were plenty of bacon bits sprinkled on top. We all love the classic cheeseburger, the smashed patties really do taste different (and better), can't fault this burger!
Burgers were very good, side of chips less so. Decent portion of chips but they were all small bits of batter, very little potato.
Great juicy beef and chicken burger. The sauces are not too spicy although it's called spicy burger. The fries are chunky and crispy. Would definitely recommend if you are around the area and need a burger fix
Great burger for a burger fix!
I had the Swiss and added Spicy sauce ($15) and it was delicious! The sauce was so creamy in particular and the patty was full of flavours! The one thing I didn’t enjoy was the bun how it was cold but otherwise a good burger!
Chips tasted like exactly from McDonalds and that won my heart. 😍
I went here today and the food was very good! I ordered the ‘spicy double beef burger’ with added ‘Mac and cheese Katsu’ and the price was average. My only disappointment was that the bun was not heated up(!) which mean that it was soft and slightly cold. This was a big let down to an otherwise incredibly tasty meal.
My friend ordered ‘the Swiss burger’ in a combo and he commented that it tasted average, with the bun soft and cold too!
Heat up the buns and it is a 5/5 for sure.

Amazing milk shake / burger / chips feast at Pattysmiths!
The interior felt like a real diner vibe, with the tile walls & cool neon sign on the back wall.
All of the food was so tasty! The Nutella milkshake I ordered was creamy, full of Nutella flavour & had a good thickened to it.
The onion rings had a nice crispy exterior & a slight oilyness to them, which I guess is to be expected for a beer battered onion ring.
The sweet potato fries were delicious! Crispy on the outside & a soft sweet potato on the inside. They were nicely seasoned too which I really liked.
The burgers were ace! I loved the fried chicken burger I ordered. The patty was so crispy & had amazing spice to it. The chicken inside was so juicy. The fillings of slaw & BBQ sauce complimented the fried chicken so well. Topped with a brioche bun, it was a tasty combination.
The service was very friendly & we didn’t wait long for the food at all!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Patty Smiths in Flemington!
The team were really friendly and accommodating, made us feel welcome right away.
There weren't many vegan options, in fact there were no vegan buns at all, so I ordered a Falafel Tahini Burger with a lettuce bun.
It was the BEST lettuce bun burger I've tried! Not only was it presented really nicely, it tasted amazing with the thick falafel and juicy tahini sauce. The sweet potato fries were also top notch!
I would love to see more vegan menu items at Patty Smiths, as my options were quite limited, however I was happy and satisfied with what I ordered!
(4.5) What a super burger!! 🍔🍔
I loved my double beef and bacon burger, it was so juicy and tasty! I could literally keep eating these forever! 😍😍
I also had a sneaky few bites of my friends fried chicken burger! It was super tasty and the chicken was very crispy!!🙌🏼
Washed down with Nutella and redskin thickshakes (the red skin one was slightly thin) and sweet potato fries/ onion rings, you truly have yourself an epic burger feed!! 👌🏼👌🏼
After hearing so many good things about Patty Smiths Burgers I finally had to try it myself. I've ordered loaded Sweet Potato Fries and the Falafel & Tahini Burger. First of all the fries were amazing really soft and covered in cheese, bacon and spring onions.
The burger was a quite unique combo. Falafel instead of a regular patty with tahini and lemon, sooo good! Will definitely come back and try more things from their menu.
All in all a nice burger place with a variety of options for a reasonable price.
Every now and then you have to treat yourself with a burger and the team down at Pattysmiths nail it every time! When I need my burger fix it has to be a cheeseburger with a side of cheese fries and a milkshake!
One of the best burgers I have ever had! I was visiting my friend in who lives in Flemington and she told me about the best burgers in Melbourne that I had to try and if I hadn't tried them, then I hadn't lived... so the only thing I could do was go and visit her and have a burger date and Pattysmiths. SHE WAS NOT LIEING! I am not ashamed to admit that when I finished my burger, I went up the counter, thanked the staff and the chefs and ordered another one because when something is that good, one is not enough. I couldn't recommend Pattysmiths highly enough. The Swiss #1
Burgers that are just the best come out of this Kitchen!
You would not BELIEVE how hot the jalapeno burger is, I LOVE IT!Finally a place that doesn't pull punched when it comes to a spicy burger.
Light me up fam!
I dunno about you guys but I looooooveee a smash patty and these are some of the best smash patties in town. Simple burgers done to perfection!
Formerly Straight Six, Pattysmiths is located in the same place but with different branding and a different menu!
Ordered:
🥚 Mac & Cheese katsu: 2 pieces of fried mac&cheese with pattysmith sauce ($5.00)
🍔 The Swiss: beef patty, marinated mushrooms, swiss cheese and truffled mayo ($13.00)
🍟 French fries: large chippies ($6.00)
Review:
No for the mac & cheese katsu. It looks cool and the concept is sick, but there isn't much flavoring, just gloppy texture ☹
Yes for the burger and fries!! Swiss cheese still hasn't let me down and marinated mushrooms were amazing. Burger was such a delight to eat - filled with flavour and just oozing goodness.
Amazing burgers. Soft bun, perfectly cooked meat with crispy outside but tender inside & great sauces. 1 of the best burger joints in melb I regularly visit. Waffles with ice cream a must as well.👍🏼
American style burgers! Delicious menu, which made it hard for me to decide since i love all burgers! Ended up with the original pattysmiths and it was just what i needed before a night out in the city with the girls! Yum!
Good service. Reasonable wait time. We had the Double Pattysmith, the Cheeseburger, onion rings and fries. Everyone was great but not outstanding. Better options out there.
If you love American style burgers, this is for you.
I have eaten here twice - had the double cheeseburger and the original pattysmith burger. Both were delicious. The burgers are really nice here.
On my second visit i did try the mac and cheese katsu which was not bad. Some places make them really dry but these were pretty good. I would order them again. Fries were good and bbq sauce delish.
They have imported drinks like Coors beer and Dr Pepper which is also great. I love this place and will drive from the south east to eat here again.
I'd been here before when it was called Straight Six and I found it to be good without being spectacular. I learned quickly that they have improved over the past year or so. The Swiss contained truffle mayo, beef, swiss cheese and marinated mushrooms. I found the mushrooms smashed beef patty and truffle mayo to be absolutely delicious the cheese was nice but I would have preferred an American style cheese. However that wouldn't have been in theme with the burger so for that reason id keep it. The redskin milkshake was fantastic as were the spicy loaded fries.
Popped in before going shopping and grabbed a couple of chicken burgers and a cheese burger with fries. Food didn’t take too long to arrive and when it did it was all tasty. I had the chicken burger which was nice but when I tried my daughters cheese burger I enjoyed that even more. We would go back and enjoy again
Have been meaning to try this burger joint for a while, as I frequently drive past it, and although it doesn't look very busy/popular, I was glad I stopped by one cold night for a quick dinner, as it's one of the better burgers I've had in Melbourne for a while. The Phar Lap burger was a great little burger that hit all the right notes for me. The bun is soft, cheese is well melted on a meat patty that is crispy on one side. The tomato separates the patty from the lettuce so the lettuce isn't soaked in oil and it makes me feel relatively healthier (although I acknowledge that could be self-deception). The pickle and sauces also bring a nice balance in taste to the burger. The beer battered chips were ok, could've done with a little more salt, but easily fixed with tomato sauce that's placed considerately on each table. Will definitely be back.
This is our go to place for burgers. Friendly service and of course the burgers are great. I had the Phar Lap with a side of fries which fixed the junk food fix. The small person was happy with his fries too. Kid friendly although there is no toilet on the premises.
There's a burger derby in Melbourne and lots of horses in the race. If you want to back a winner, then I suggest betting on Straight Six.
I'm not a 'horse racing' person, so the racing horse champion themed burgers are lost on me, and their styling is very subtle. There are no horse statues, Melbourne shaped glasses on show, and the staff are not wearing jockey caps. I didn't even know Straight Six was named after the final straight of Flemington racecourse (bad Melburnian Iknow). I do however, love the splashes of pink throughout the premises. We all need a bit of pink in our lives. The place is well lit and would be great for families as well as a burger with your squad.
The reason you come here are the burgers. They won't win the best looking burgers on the gram, but they will win your tastebuds and stomach. Smash patties, juicy and tender with lots of flavour. Well sauced and filled. A 'simple' burger, which looks and tastes good. What more do you really want from a burger joint really. Sides are great, as are the shakes (I like the redskin one).
Straight Six is well worth the trip to Flemington. In this saturated burger market, Straight Six noses itself out in front on the home stretch to win the Burger Derby.
Excellent burgers and onion rings 👏🏻 Beef patties are so juicy and tender, onion rings are just perfectly crispy. I’d say the Think Big burger is the best one here 🌟 Service and food are totally worth your money
Another local school holiday lunch option. Little Man needed a burger and we thought we'd give this place a go. I was amazed to watch him devour his entire mini beef cheeseburger, while I thoroughly enjoyed my Pharlap. Mr B went for the Makybe Diva which received no complaints. To accompany we went all out with the Straight Six loaded fried with their punchy jalapenos and spicy burger sauce. Absolutely appreciate that I have this place so close to home. Its neon lights and bright tiling make for a shiny asset to the Flemington area.
Straight Six are bringing some serious burgers to Flemington & now have a second store in Templestowe.
With a bright & cheerful interior featuring neon signs, it’s located a stone’s throw from Flemington Racecourse.
The burgers are all named after famous horses & they also have some killer sides such as Mac n Cheese Katsu, Onion rings & Loaded Fries featuring their house made cheese sauce. The onion rings were super crispy with a light batter & the loaded fries are to die for.
I tried the Makybe Diva burger, Southern fried chicken, slaw, cheese, chipotle mayo & bbq sauce. Super tasty & I loved the crispy chicken coating.
The Swiss Ace burger is my absolute favourite with a smashed wagyu beef patty, marinated mushrooms, Swiss cheese & truffle mayo. This burger is so damn good & the flavour combo is incredible.
They also do some amazing shakes including Oreo, Nutella & Redskin with real redskins, so good.
Highly recommend checking out Straight Six to satisfy your burger cravings.
Top burgers! They were packed with flavour and a good quality size. Had the Might and Power which has a mac and cheese patty and it was amazing! Had the loaded onion rings as well and was one of the best sides I’ve ever had! Highly recommend
Awesome burger place which does a really tasty Mac and cheese burger. Beef patties were soft and full of flavour, mainly because they were wagyu beef. But I think the highlight of the meal was definitely the shake. Unlike other spots, this place has some really milky thickshakes. Nothing like washing down some burgers with a good drink.
Had the Winx burger, really juicy and the sauce had a nice creamy taste to it. The Mac and cheese was also great and the Nutella burger was delicious.
Food was great here. Burger flavours were great - I had the standard cheeseburger and it was moist, delicious and a nice bun but not to sweet. We had the loaded chips with cheese, bacon and spring onions and they were delicious. Price was good and service was ok, it was pretty busy so we waited a good 10 - 15 mins but the food was awesome. Definitely recommend it. Fantastic hangover burger.
Okay so if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that one of my favourite meals on this planet is a big old plate of Chicken and Waffles. Not sure why I love fried chicken and waffles so much, maybe it's my complexion, who knows? All I know is there is no place in Melbourne that does it better than the absolute legends at @straightsixburgers 🙌🏾
***
🏇 Where was this adventure?
@straightsixburgers.
.
🍗 What did I eat?
- One giant ass Waffle
- Boneless Deep Fried Chicken
- Carmalized Bacon Strips
- Maple Syrup
Which roughly translates to "heaven on a plate" 🙌🏾
.
For those that have yet to try the Delicious Duo of Fried Chicken and Waffles and if you haven't, what rock have you been living under? This is something that needs to be eaten to believed. The combination of these two completely different cuisines is crazy but for some reason it works so damn well.
.
I really can't put into words how mind-numbingly phenomenal the chicken and waffles at @straightsixburgers are, maybe it's the @gelareaustralia waffles they use or the bucket loads of love @mrmenaaa puts into every plate, all I know is you need to get around it ASAP and trust me you won't regret it! ✊🏾
In a past life I worked down the road from Straight Six so it was wonderful to be invited.
The restaurant has been transformed with lots of natural light flooding in what a great place to dine in and indulge in delicious burgers.
With the race course down the road, the horse racing theme certainty provided a bit of fun 😁. With a large variety of burgers this place can sure meet everyone's expectation.
Sea Biscuit with the Cooper beer battered rockling fillet with classic tartare, lettuce and tomato was so refreshing.
The Phar Lap consisting of wagyu patty, American cheddar, sauce, pickles, onion, lettuce and tomato was so juicy and hit the mark.
Makybe Diva was a fabulous southern fried chicken fillet was so moist with American cheddar, slaw, chipotle aioli and smokey bbq sauce was so delicious.
But if you are looking for something different and so decadent check out the
Might & Power the wagyu patty and the most scrumptious mac & cheese katsu with American cheddar, sauce, lettuce and tomato was packed full of flavour and so so filling too 😋😋😋.
With a side of onion rings with the most lightest and crispy batter was so divine but I could not go past the loaded fries too 😍😍.
Finishing off with the redskin and salted caramel milk shake this was fantastic.
We will be back to checkout those waffles for dessert!!
I was invited along to Straight Six Burgers in Flemington to try out their race horse themed burger menu. This corner store had a really bright interior with neon signed and plenty of lighting.
I was impressed with the burger selection and the comprehensive add on list for those wanting to option up their burger. A good variety of side and salads and fried chicken, waffles and dessert waffles.
Tonight we tried the “Think Big” burger with double wagyu double cheddar, bacon, jalapeño and spicy sauce. The beef was cooked medium and was juicy and cheddar melted nicely. The jalapeño packed quite a punch too.
The Makybe Diva burger was southern fried chicken with cheddar, slaw and chipotle sauce. I added a mac & cheese patty which made this burger a monster... a tasty cheesy monster. This was my favourite of the two.
I loved the loaded sweet potato fries. I couldn’t stop eating that cheese sauce. That’s sauce just by itself could see me return again!!!
We washed all this goodness down with decadent and seriously thick shakes. We ordered the salted caramel and also the Nutella shake. I loved that thickness of these shakes and they were flavour bombs. The Nutella shake was phenomenal.
We certainly and tragically had no space left for dessert which sounded so good. Maybe next time.
Thanks so much for having us.
It has been over a year since I dined here and while the first visit was just alright, hence the long duration before another visit, my second time here definitely left a much better impression.
All three burgers that we had were delicious. The beef patty was meaty and juicy, and went perfectly with the crisped and cheesy mac and cheese katsu. The fried chicken was not dry at all and was well-seasoned, and the rockling fillet was super tender yet firm. The buns were all soft and fluffy - the perfect vessel to deliver the goods inside.
Onion rings were a bit salty for my friend (I didn't mind the saltiness) but we all agreed on how deliciously crunchy it was. Topped with a very generous serve of melted cheese and bacon bits, it was a very filling side.
Only complain we had was that the fish burger needed a bit more sauce. It wasn't dry at all but it could do with a bit more flavour.
The milkshakes were as I remembered. Thick, creamy and very sinful! This is a thickshake, no doubt about it.
Friendly and attentive service, a buzzing atmosphere and tasty burgers. Thanks for the awesome feed!
The burgers here are UNREAL. Treat yourself to a “think big” and a side of loaded fries. Don’t be afraid to add an extra chicken patty
Big ups from me
The service was so quick. I was surprised how fast our burgers came out. Each one delicious and hot. Kids loved their milkshakes. I got the lettuce burger, which was filling and delicious. But that Nutella burger for dessert... OMG! Amazing.
Highly recommend the fried chicken burger! Also for all the vegetarian folk- the falafel burger is delicious! Nothing worse than a dry falafel, and this is certainly not dry.
Had the saintly with extra beef and added bacon, tasted delicious. Really nice venue and service also!
Probably one of the best burgers I’ve had, highly recommend.
Situated right next to the Flemington Racecourse is a 'Race Horse' themed Burger restaurant! They do everything from Burgers to Loaded Fries to Milkshakes and even the infamous Gelare Waffles. Everything tastes amazing, but the highlight really is the burgers! And their motto certainly lives up to the quote 'BURGERS SO GOOD YOU'D PUT YOUR HOUSE ON!' Give them a shot! There's no Gambling here, because you know you'll Win!!!
Amaaazing burgers and fries! Had the Pha Lap burger, perfect meat to cheese and sauce ratio! One of the greatest sauces ever tasted! Definitely in the top burgers I’ve had!
Love finding a good burger joint and Straight Six is definitely up there. Shakes are tasty and you can get your fries loaded. My fave were the sweet potato fries. The burger was very tasty. I added a Mac n cheese katsu and it was delish. PS... the straight six sauce is magic!!
I dont write many reviews but had to after visiting straight six today with my family. Firstly the waitress was extremely helpful after a small mixup: The burgers are amazing good value, simple but great tasting. Tried the swiss mushroom special burger and was one of the best burgers ive had for a long time. kids had the saintly cheese burgers and they were rapt. Fries are scrumpteous and the nutella burgers better than donuts.
We tried the makybe diva and a special burger which had wagyu beef and truffle mayo in it, a large fries, the nutella shake and nutella donuts.
I was really taken away by the nutella shake, it was really really good and not sickening at all! Comparable to Betty's Burgers and Sunshine Social as those three places so far have really uniquely made chocolate shakes. As for the burgers, mine was dripping in sauce (which is fine) but they didn't have any wet towelettes or a sink to wash off in. The chicken was super juicy and I don't usually go for BBQ sauce but this was yum. My partner really loved the truffle beef burger, saying the flavours were immense and had a good balance about it.
The nutella donuts you can go without. They were cold and boring and I saw the waitress preparing them with her bare hands and touching cash after.
Service overall was good, and the atmosphere felt inviting and the place was clean.
Burgers are one of Emily and I's favourite cuisines and an easy go to meal to satisfy hunger and cravings alike. Today I brought my sibling with me to enjoy the well acclaimed Straight Six burgers in the pocket of Flemington.
With interior and ambience resembling that of a trendy, american burger joint, we felt immediately welcomed upon setting foot in the restaurant as the smells of burgers and fries tickled our senses with bliss. Setting our sights on a Pharlap, the double wagyu burger and the burger with mac n cheese croquet, we also opted for some well deserved loaded fries and sweet potato fries, only to be complimented with an oreo milkshake.
Lets start with the milkshake. It tastes very like a cookies and cream ice cream which is definitely a good thing, generous in serving and exactly what we needed with the meal. The chips were definitely better than most we have had with the perfect crunch, flavouring and even condiments ontop. We noted that the cheese and loaded contents were consistent throughout the entire tray of chips too, which other establishments refrain from doing as they only load the top! VERY good fries here.
The burgera? Exceptional. Definitely in our top 5, the meat, patties and flavours throughout each burger were juicy, succulent and full of flavour. Take what you love about burgers in that they are meaty and full of flavour and this is what you get. A lot of care and love put into making these burgers was noticed with each bite we took. The burger meats were literally oozing in our mouth and we could not have been happier. STRONGLY recommend Straight Six for your burger needs. Definitely a must visit for any burger lover!
Food: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Ambience: 4/5
Value: 4/5
Overall: 4/5
Loved everything about Straight Six! The burgers not only looked good but tasted amazing! Soft buns, juicy patty, crispy mac n cheese katsu... and they even make their own cheese sauce for the loaded chips!! How cool is that?! The shakes were a great way to wash everything down. The redskin shakes actually has melted redskins in it 😱. Highly recommend 👍
Happy with my meal there. Good tasty moist burgers. Not too dissimilar from most good burger joints out there at the moment. They have some interesting additions though such as chicken and waffle to set them apart from the rest. Did not try it though. Good customer service. Would come back.
This place is an absolute delight! Definitely one of my favourite American style burger/waffle/loaded fries places in Melbourne!!
The service is great - the staff are hospitable and friendly which makes the experience even better than just being about the food. Very cool setup inside the venue - a good degree of funky décor and bright colours to look at - plenty of seating available too!
The waffles are incredible - all sorts of different flavours, including sweet and savoury. I loved the fruity ones and also the fried chicken waffle!! Now this was a standout. The loaded fries were definitely some of the best I've had - I ordered the "Loaded Fries' which were covered in cheese sauce, crispy bacon and spring onions. And in a word, YUM!! I tried a couple of the burgers that other people had and they were really really delicious and the meat was tender which is always a plus. Will be going back again soon and getting my own burger that's for sure!!

Great place to enjoy burger and shake!
If you love heavy meal- come here and you will be fulfilled !
We love the waffle fried chicken the most ! So yum!
Oh don’t forget to try Nutella Burger just $7!
One of the top burger joints in Melbourne! Ordered their special, the ‘Swiss ace’ and doubled up the patty and cheese, which didn’t seem to set me back any extra coin! The smash patties were a winner and the whole burger was just A+!
Along with that, large fries and Mac n cheese were solid sides.
To top off the feed we were offered free Nutella burgers as dessert; so over the top but so good! Quality ingredients, the service was first class and the order came out in no time!
Great service at the counter by the cashier who always had a smile on her face.
This burger joint has a lot of potential, with great tasting chicken burger ( makybe diva . However the beef one ( phar lap ) was average at best. The loaded fries cost a bomb and weren’t anything special, albeit being very filling.
Would go back there to try the rest of their menu items as the chicken burger saved the day!
No longer the new addition to Flemington, I finally gave Straight Six a try and was very impressed. I had the Phar Lap which was a pretty little package full of juicy burger goodness. Everything about this burger was on point and I possibly could have eaten another. We also shared some sweet potato chips and small beer battered chips. The sweet potatoes were excellent but a small portion for $7 and the beer battered chips were barely half full for $4. Service was good, we were asked twice how our meals were. Food came out promptly and I’d gladly come back for a burger fix.
Pop in for some waffles. Staff friendly & attentive.staff even apologise if the waffle late as there are only one machine. Waffles came grand. Crispy crust outside but fluffy cakey texture inside goes perfect with some ice cream. Maple waffle though had the taste of fake maple syrup though from desk staff assured me it’s real maple. Burgers looks juicy, however we didn’t try. Interior has that retro Americano cafeteria style with bright colours. Overall nice place for a casual dinning/ junk food cravings. MFC rate 3.8
Yeeew! What's the only thing better than burgers? Burgers followed by waffles, obviously. Thanks to Straight Six Burgers, who have teamed up with Gelare Australia - you can get just that over in Flemington. Shattered that I missed the first Hub trip to Straight Six, I was determined not to miss this visit - it lived up to the burger hype.
Straight Six's 'Think Big' burger was my go to for that jalapeño heat I freakin' love. Somehow these guys manage to get the perfect cheese to beef balance without missing any of the flavour. It might be a pattie but their beef has a soft consistency that legitimately has just made my mouth water as I type. New to their menu is their waffle selection. Using Gelare Australia's waffle mix (exclusive to Straight Six in Melbourne) they're whipping out waffles that will appeal to those who want them a little healthier (think bananas and strawberries) or those who wanna go all out with ice cream, chocolate and cookies. Savoury? It wouldn't be a waffle joint without a chicken and bacon option - it's there for your eating pleasure.
If you're going back for the burger - which I now definitely will be, give their waffles a crack - you won't be disappointed.

What a great joint, Burgers on point and an awesome location only seconds walk from the heart of Flemington Melbourne. I've had the Vego burger they offer a few times and it never disappoints. A modern twist on the classic middle eastern street food Falafel, the burger blends the traditional flavour and texture of a Falafel and Tahini into a two handed date with deliciousness. 5 stars and a big thumbs up!
One of Melbourne's best for sure. My favourite has to be the 'Think Big.' The saltiness of the beef mixed with the sweetness of the maple bacon and the subtle spice of the jalapeños makes for a top 3 burger. If you haven't been here, you need to check it out ASAP.
Had the might and power burger (extra patty) and loved it, meat was nice and juicy and not dry. The Mac and cheese croquette absolutely made this thing - it was perfectly gooey and very satisfying.
I’m a huge burger lover and I feel like i’m in heaven with all the burger joints popping around Melbourne! With Melbourne cup today, it was fitting timing to try out Straight Six over the weekend with a group of friends and i’ll share that experience here today. To start, I ordered one of their nutella shakes. Let’s just say, it’s going to give your cheeks a huge workout! That is to say, it’s super thick! But it is delicious and the nutella flavour come out strongly and isn’t diluted. To be honest, if I lived closed I’d be popping in regularly just for this shake!
I ordered the saintly cheese burger and it was so good. The flavours were just right and the bun was crisp and fluffy. I would come back since it’s close to where I live 👍
We got the Makybe Diva burger and my partner got the Think Big burger and we shared a side of fries with a Peanut Butter milkshake. So good! Burgers were really tasty and the milkshake had so much flavour. Staff were very friendly and fast, 10/10!
There’s no better way to spend the day than smashing down some delicious burgers and loaded fries! Have been here a few times and it never disappoints. The burger patties are cooked to perfection and the loaded fries are full of cheesy goodness. Can’t wait to head over again for a delicious feast!
The food was really good but not perfect. To start, the burger bun was a little bit soggy, which was a shame. It also had a doughy consistency like it had been previously frozen. The chips were good, also a little soggy and could have used more cheese sauce, as it was mostly bacon and spring onion. Still good but just a few negatives.
I really cant fault this place at all. The staff very super friendly and the layout is nice and clean.
We ordered a Phar Lap and A think big. Both burgers were great. The buns are soft and dont crumble, the patties are juicy and full of flavour. The think big worked well with the jalapenos and slight spicey flavour.
Even the fries were great and im not a big fan of fries.
If your into you burgers do yourself a favour and come to this place, you will not be disappointed
Best burgers in the west!! The burger to bun ratio, and even the lettuce and sauce was so good. Fries were excellent, hot and crispy with good amount of salt
Even their dessert waffles are delicious
Straight Six is a cool and casual burger joint occupying a corner unit in Flemington – with perfect positioning, near to the train station and the race course you’d be hard pressed to find an excuse not to visit if you’re in this area. We were invited down to feast on their burgers and sides!
Nice and bright restaurant thanks to its corner position and plenty of windows. You make your selection at the counter and food is brought out to you. I went with a group of people who all enjoyed their food.
I had the Might & Power burger which had a Mac n cheese croquette in it. It was so delicious, the Mac n cheese adds an extra creaminess to the burger.
The sweet potato fries had a funny coating, not for me. The loaded fries and fried chicken and waffles were really good.
You may think it’s just another burger place..but this is a place you need to try! Don’t worry if you didn’t win the trifecta at the Cup because Straight Six has all your winnings. I had the fish burger as I wanted something light. You can choose grilled or fried which is great. The fish is a proper fillet and isn’t too oily.
The onion rings were a winner and so was the Nutella milkshake!!
I’ll be back for the beef burgers I heard good things about them.
Oh yes I can’t forget they have Mac and Cheese Katsu! For those Mac and cheese lovers out there.
This place has a great menu and lots of interesting items on it. The burgers here are phenomenal, full of flavour, could eat a few at once.
The chicken and waffles were interesting and delicious aswell.
The burgers here were really tasty and filling. It's hard to find a good burger these days but the sauce makes this place memorable. Mac and cheese nuggets were okay.
