Cafe Intimo doesn't even need signage, because those in the area already know it, and if you haven't, then The Dear Luncher has just lifted the lid. #MicDrop
The staff greet you with a level of authenticity and care that is unrivalled. These little things make the experience of coffee, breakfast or lunch a whole lot better. It took just three days for the staff to remember The Dear Luncher's coffee order.
Let it be known, The Dear Luncher has had several meals at Intimo. Breakfast, lunch - eat in and take away. The eggs are great. The sandwiches, superb. You will not be let down. Well, maybe sometimes you will as the place can get busy and sometimes the staff are struggling to deal with the demand for their attention.
A homely, quaint and INTIMATE spot for breakfast or lunch in the CBD.
Great place. Been there heaps of times. Very friendly and chief very accommodating. Owner looks after you like family. Place is a Melbourne gem.
Lovely little restaurant which is unassuming from the street. Service can be hit and miss but generally can be fixed up quickly with some patience. Ask for the carbonara if you want a true style Italian carbonara. My friend had the gnocchi and went in to a happy food coma that afternoon
Spaghetti with Prawns Garlic Chilli White Wine and Olive Oil. Pasta El Dente. Perfectly cooked pasta Aussie prawns .wow what flavor .
Spectacular. Not only was everything from the venue to the staff outstandingly perfect but the Gnocchi was by far the best I've ever seen or tasted.
Simple, delicious and my new location for all meetings where the perfect place with the perfect food are necessary
Best gnocchi ever! Had the beetroot gnocchi with a Gorgonzola cream sauce. Unbelievable experience.
Excellent!. Breakfast here each week with friends. The scrambled eggs and bacon are superb and the coffee perfect. A little on the tight side, but worth it for the quality of food and service. We thought Syracuse couldn't be bettered, but this is the new go-to breakfast spot in the CBD.....
DMan and friends went to lunch here. We enjoyed a couple of antipasto plates including mixed antipasto and beef carpaccio. Whilst delicious the carpaccio was sliced a little too thickly. The mixed antipasto was well executed and exactly as one would expect in Italy.
For mains we has seared tuna on a bed of smashes potato with beans. One of the party had crumbed lamb cutlets. The seared tuna was fresh and delicious, it was a little overlooked to my preference yet nonetheless very fra hand absolutely tasty( my preference is raw inside with a couple off mm of seared crust.
The passon fruit was a winner!
The selection of Italian wines is great, try one of these rather than a local wine. You will be pleasantly surprised.
Home style Italian cooking. Chef makes his own gnocchi which is absolutely divine.
Friendly and warm. Looks like they have a lot of regular customers.
Menu is compact but sufficient varieties. A couple of pasta dishes, a fish and a meat dish are typically available from the big blackboard menu.
CBD's hidden secret.
Intimo is fantastic. Was brought here by a business account manager, and now this is the preferred dining spot to bring clients and personal lunches. Menu is limited but it doesn't matter as all the items are fantastic. Whether it's pasta, risotto, seafood or meat dishes. Owner even let's you mix dishes to our taste and liking. Wine list is great. Coffee is great. Really like this place.
Knock knock Gnochhi on Heaven's Door. This is one of my favourite hidy holes in the City hiding in a mouse hole behind the RACV club. The first thing you need to know is that it is small, cramped and produces the best gnochhi I have ever eaten. The service is familiar and considered. The menu rotates daily as regulars support this jewel. You have to take a good mate or freind with you as you will probably be sitting on their lap or someone elses, but they make it work with good humour and personal service.
Brilliant gnocchi, excellent coffee, fabulous service. The food is consistently terrific, Intimo is a haven in a rushed city setting.
Intimo Cafe is a top spot in Melbourne with beautiful foods and 5 star coffee.
I had the gnocchi and my friend Wendi went the linguine and we loved it!
I go to this place nearly two times a month. Such a beautiful place, love their pastry. In terms of coffee, I got an average cappuccino only once, I may put it down to a one-time thing
Customer service was lovely - one of the best I’ve ever experienced. They made me something that wasn’t on the menu simply because I asked if they supplied it. It was made quickly and was delicious. Very pleasant experience and I would come again!
Super friendly and welcoming staff. One of the very few places where you can taste proper Italian sweets, like their savoury pasta frolla (quince jam tart).
Coffee was average, but does not taint the experience.
I loved my lunch. The cafe is beautiful, the cheeky Italian chef is very sweet. My coffee was perfect.
Food was fresh, quick and full of flavour. I had a coffee along side with a freshly soft cinnamon scroll. Just great!!!
