I often get a chicken wrap from here to start my day and they are always delicious. The pancakes are also very yummy but they were as big as the plate! The staff are friendly and the service is very good.
Coffee and muffin at Little Peacock this morning. Coffee was on point. Muffin was outstanding. Was still warm from being baked. Was raspberry and white chocolate and the best muffin I’ve ever eaten. Do you self a favor and have one of there muffins ASAP. Friendly staff. Parking sometimes hard to find.
Generous portions of meals that we can even order to share at times. Our friends often get the smashed avo to share (so we can save for a deposit😂). Tastes good as well!
Portion sizes are huge. Great value. Staff is amazing. I had a bit of a hiccup with the meal and they did everything they could to accommodate me and apologize. Really great coffee. White choc raspberry muffin was amazing. Will defiently come again.
The best.
We regularly order complicated vegetarian variations on Uber Eats and the staff always get it right. They also leave friendly notes on our bags :) The food is consistent, delicious and quality. We love this place. It's also really nice to deal with staff that are happy to help you as opposed to cranky cafe staff that treat customer service like a drain on their existence. Highly recommended.
Really cute cafe with great food! The staff were so friendly and helpful . The dishes were so generous in terms of portions ( possibly the biggest pancake dish Ive ever seen)
Wow at the portion and price. Talk about value for money!! Wish that the avocado had a bit more flavour—- like some onion or some spices. Would definitely go back.
Great little cafe situated on Hope Street just off busy Sydney Road in Brunswick. Had an absolutely delicious feast at this great venue. Each dish had generous servings. Would definitely return!
Best coffee in Brunswick. The only place I can get a soy mocha under $5 in the area and had me hooked, been going there since they opened and the people have always been extremely friendly..... a bit too friendly for 9 in the morning but just shows they value customer service.
Small menu but generous serves of each dish. Went for Sunday brunch - thoroughly enjoyed my salmon poached eggs on corn fritters. Other dishes coming out looked good but the sour dough bread serves were cut too thick for our liking. My beetroot juice was delicious. Service was also nice and ambience was peaceful enough so we could talk without yelling. I'll definitely be back.
We don't normally do the cafe thing on ParmaDaze, and we definitely don't do the cafe-that-closes-at-4pm thing at ParmaDaze - However when I heard that one of the chef's from our current #1 spot holder and 2016 Golden Chook winner The Birmingham Hotel had spun off into his own cafe and was also serving parmas... We had to make an exception
A hidden gem!! Friendly staff and it wasn't too busy in a Saturday morning for breakfast which is good for me as I hate waiting ;) the food was so decently priced and massive portions. I had the pancake stack and they were huge. I couldn't finish them. Only thing I had to ask for was some maple syrup as there wasn't much sauce.
My friend also ordered the smashed avocado which came with two and eggs and bacon. I paid for my breakfast and two coffee for only $24!
Love this place. Come here a lot. They're so accommodating of our 2 year old, and also me with my weird dietary requirements. I order off the menu a lot to eat! Coffee is always consistently really good too. Staff very friendly and always get my order right. A very Un-pretentious cafe which is refreshing for brunswick!
If you're on Sydney Road and looking for a cafe for brunch turn into Hope Street and stop off at Little Peacock. Its a fabulous cafe with an extensive menu, reasonably priced and best of all the meals are huge! Staff are very friendly and there are lots of seating. Thank you for inviting us, we will definitely come back for more of those pancakes.
We were lucky enough to be invited to Little Peacock for a special showcase of their dishes. What a cute little cafe this is. Surrounded by glass walls it has a nice feel with modern, wooden interior.
The service is impeccable, you can tell they really want to please, which is always good for a diner.
As for the food, it was incredibly impressive. I ordered the Panko Crumbed Chicken Burger which was lovely. Served on a brioche bun the Panko crumbs were deliciously crunchy. The best part for me though, was that the chicken fillet wasn't too thick. I hate thick chunks of chicken in a burger that means when you bite into it, you just get chicken and no other flavours. In this burger you could taste the tomato and the lettuce and the special mustard mayo. Delish!
I love little peacock! The staff are super friendly, and they always make ripper coffees. The food is great to boot, the haloumi salad is so good! Nice atmosphere, 10/10 on all counts!
Great coffee, the padre blend is amazing and the baristas know exactly what they're doing. Good atmosphere and beautiful food, I'll definitely be back!
Couldn't fault this place! Came here last week for lunch after wedding dress shopping as we were recommended by a sales assistant. Such a cool little place and it wasn't too busy which was nice as it wasn't loud. I had the chicken burger which was delicious but huge so I couldn't finish it all. Very well priced for the portion sizes!
Little peacock is a modern cafe located under an apartment block on the corner of Hope street staffed by vibrant and enthusiastic workers. The small yet comfortable cafe has limited seating out the front with larger tables inside and classic bench stools by the window. The interior itself is very bright due to the large glass panels allowing lots of natural lighting to fill the trendy modernistic space.
After previously popping into Little peacock for a coffee and not sampling anything from there menu, on a Thursday afternoon walking past, the quite atmosphere and notable padre coffee beans on display dragged me into this vicinity.
Upon entering we where greeted by a very friendly waitress who gestured for for us to take a sit and we opted to sit outside on the small balcony. Menus where placed on the table and we firstly order our drinks of choice being a peppermint tea and a long black. The peppermint tea arrived with the long black being presented a substantial time later due to the new beans that where being tested. The peppermint tea was soothing and brewed well ensuring that it was not to weak when being poured. When the long black finally arrived it was slightly watering losing its fruity undertone and acidic textures.
After viewing the extensive and extraordinary cheap menu we finally came to a decision, opting for the vegan omelette along with the cafe staple bircher muesli. Our meals arrived after a substantial amount of time yet we where not bothered by this as we where not in a massive rush to eat. The dishes where both presented with great attention to detail looking fresh and vibrant. The vegan omelette that consisted of a chickpea semolina omelette filled with carrot, zucchini, kale, onion, roasted capsicum and served with romesco sauce and herb salad was very filling and a mighty tasty dish. The omelette itself was very dense yet oddly fluffy. The roasted capsicum and romesco sauce added sweetness to the dish and the fresh herb salad paired well with the pancake shaped omelette complementing its flavour.
The bircher filled with organic oats, toasted almonds and coconut with apple juice, grated pear, gogi berries, seasonal mixed berries, granola crumble and coconut yoghurt was a fruity flavour assault on the taste buds. The light coconut yoghurt combined well with the chewy soaked oats. The fruits added a tart element to the dish ensuring it was no to sweet and the crunchy granola and almonds where delicious. The gogi berries where in abundance adding a chewy texture and the flaked coconut that was slightly roasted adding a nutty, husky taste to the utterly flawless and filling bowl of goodness.
Little peacock is a humble little cafe run by extremely friendly staff that provide good service. The food is good, yet the coffee could be slightly improved, but meals that are cheap and tasty from a large unique menu one can not complain.
another pleasant breakfast place,, good staff very cheerfull, food was good ambience was nice good coffee, loved the feel of everything. all in all great
A good impression from our first visit - very kid-friendly (they even provided colouring pencils and paper), nice staff and yummy food (we had the mushroom bruschetta and crispy chicken burger). Only slight downside was that the space seemed very loud, out of proportion with the number of people who were there (very echoey acoustics?) - having to yell to have a conversation made it a little bit less relaxing. However overall positive experience and we'll return!
This place has both great coffee and amazing service. The owners are the most cheerful people and you always have a good experience.
The food is pretty good as well. So good we consider this place our local, which is pretty good considering what's around it.
this place is one of the the best coffee places off Sydney Road...For real! and the nicest people work there... No attitudes.. The food is amazing... always good music. I love this place! Don't waste your money anywhere else..
Practically neighbours with Little peacock now that I've moved to Hope St. Visited for the first time on Saturday for brunch and then again the next morning for coffee. They used Bonsoy soy milk which was a huge plus for me. Both times the cafe was bustling. Staff are attentive and friendly. Ordered the mushroom bruschetta with poached eggs and my partner got the 'eggs benedict' which was served on a potato-waffle type thing. Both were delicious and very different in both taste and texture! The Little Peacock's interpretation of the classic eggs benny was definitely a hit with us. Will be down again for morning coffee!
A pleasant breakfast. Had the Smoked salmon and Avocado benedict on corn fritters. Not quite what I expected of the smoked salmon as I expected it to be still slightly raw and in slices. This was broken into pieces. Generous portion though. Coffee was good and newspapers for a lazy Saturday morning.
From the moment we first entered Little Peacock we knew there was something special about this place. The location, the layout, the staff, the service was all second to none. Coffee was fantastic especially the coconut milk latte. Food was delicious and portions were perfect. Definitely coming back! A+++
Awesome menu, great variety. Have not had a bad breakfast there yet. All consistently delicious. Staff are fabulous too, friendly, attentive and welcoming.
Hidden gem in the side streets of Brunswick and serves some great food which is accompanied by a great setting and friendly & warm staff. A mixture of food styles available throughout the day is available which means I end up getting burgers for breakfast. Had a crispy chicken burger and the Mrs grabbed the calamari salad which delicious, fresh and melted in my mouth.
Spacious & modern ambience with ample free parking. Till next time, this is Our Foodie Find!
I love this place, the atmosphere is uplifting and the staff are very friendly!
My fav dish is the smashed avocado, definitely one of the best I've ever had.
The staff are very accommodating. My boyfriend lives next door and I've come to them from his place with my own bowl asking if I could buy my fries and take them home with me and they were happy to help me out...!
The coffee is good, as are the little pastries and chocolate brownie things.
I am a regular and I will always recommend this cafe.
I love this place! awesome food, awesome coffee, awesome staff :)
They do takeaway also which Is awesome. Highly recommend the prawn and mango salad.
Great, recently opened little cafe. If this were anywhere else in the world Little Peacock would stand out as a beacon of light for the quality of their food, coffee and hipster factor of the decor of their space. Being based in Brunswick Melbourne, they're a "good" cafe. Reliable and hipster.
I enjoyed a delicious smashed avo and poached egg brunch (and they got my well-poached order spot on) and my wife had the GF bread, poached eggs and a chai.
Well done Little Peacock we'll definitely be back!
I always question why little cafes open up next to much bigger and obviously busier cafes.
Little Peacock opened up a block away from Lux on Hope Street Brunswick.
The menu- which has already been changed in the first year of operating is an improvement of the earlier menu with the incorporation of standard menu items for breakfast- smashed avocado and lunch- salads.
Ordered the chickpea salad with quinoa and roasted pumpkin- delicious.
Atmosphere was quite... Much quieter that Lux and to be honest I preferred it. I read the paper in peace and enjoyed my great coffee.
Unlike Lux who are too busy to make ANY amendments to ANY items on the menu,
I prefer Little Peacock over Lux any day.
This place looks great and has great staff. The menu is a bit different, which is always a good thing. The coffee was ok, not great, as was the food.
The meals were generous and tasty, but lacked the balance you'd find in some of the best cafes in Melbourne. For example, I ordered the banana bread - it was huge, and tasty, but OMG the sugar rush! I would have appreciated a lemon marscapone or the like to cut through the sugar.
All in all, a great local cafe.
Really like the little peacock in brunswick It has a cool fitout I've been there a few times for the hot chocolates which are great I ate there last week with my partner she had the big breakie and she loved it I had the coconut yogurt with muesli which was very nice and presented well Service was great and will be back
i made a slight detour to little peacock in brunswick the other morning on my way to work. the café commands an expansive and open space on the ground floor of an apartment building just off sydney road and close to brunswick train station. the interior is gorgeous and open – with beautiful timber panelling, fresh flowers, a substantial front counter and a communal bench that makes an envious mobile-office space.
I've been meaning to try this new cafe for a while as it's only 100 metres down the street from my apartment complex. First impressions are that Little Peacock has an awesome fit out, and there is a good amount of outdoor seating. The coffee was the best I've had in the area, and the menu has some interesting options and good pricing.
I ordered the special of fried polenta, poached eggs, grilled asparagus and crispy pancetta. It was absolutely delicious and I hope it stays on the menu for a while!
The only negative I'd comment on was that food was a bit slow, but it was delicious and I wasn't in a hurry so didn't end up really being an issue.
Little Peacock has definitely replaced others as our new local!
Visited Little Peacock again for lunch. We tried the Smashed Avocado and Ricotta; Pulled Pork; Salmon Omelette. You will have to look at the menu for exact name and what else you get on your plate.
You won't be disappointed. Loved my pulled pork. Tender and tasty.
If your in Brunswick head down and try this little gem. Delicious menu and coffee is superb. Pulled pork is a must try! You won't be disappointed. If you have some extra room try their creamy coconut porridge.
This place is too good! Breakfast is fresh, flavorsome and very hearty. Coffee is so delicious and staff are all lovely! 100% worth the little trip to Hope Street! Well done guys, keep up the great work!
Recently opened. Friendly atmosphere. Fairly standard breaky menu for Brunswick. With one exception- Try the mushrooms for an incredible explosion of flavour. Lovely chef who is always up for a chat.
This place recently opened downstairs in our apartment block. I really love the breaky menu (smashed fetta avocado) and the almond milk coffee. Great service and super-friendly staff!
