I was intrigued to try this place after seeing the abundance of dishes they had on their menu. Whilst you wouldn’t expect it looking from the outside, the restaurant is huge inside and can seat many people. Perfect for university students, or those on their work break looking for a quick and easy meal.
For 1, I decided to try the honey chicken with rice. The honey chicken was decent sized, cooked perfectly - extra crispy and hot. With a great amount of honey poured over the top, and sesame seeds on the chicken- it was one of the top honey chicken dishes I’ve had. It’s also the right amount of food for 1 person.
Excellent food and good service. I will definitely be returning back to try some of their other dishes.
Who can say no to hot, fresh dumplings on a cold rainy day. Mum and I stopped at I love dumplings to satisfy our dumpling craving, so we took a box of steamed dumpling away to munch on.
Steamed chicken prawn dumplings $11 for 15pcs: I would like to say $11 for 15 dumplings are very cheap, this pack fed me and my mum well. The skin isn’t very thin but filling is delicious! It’s juicy and the whole prawn is embedded into the chicken filling which is just amazing.
Would definitely recommend if you love cheap and delicious dumplings!
You can’t not love ‘I love dumplings! ‘ Really delicious food, great quick and friendly service and a great family atmosphere! Would totally suggest Pan fried chicken and prawn dumplings in Sichuan chilli sauce, but all the food is really fresh and yum! The only reason I didn’t give ILD 5 stars is the state of the restrooms. Substandard and really messy. Apart from that I love you guys. Favourite dumpling place!
Dropped in on a Wednesday evening for dinner and it was pretty quiet. The space is large with plenty of seats. The food is cheap and tasty, if you're looking to satisfy your dumpling cravings without waiting in massive lines or feeling rushed out of the restaurant then this should hit the spot.
We had stir fried green beans with pork mince, spring onion pancakes, pan fried dumplings, wontons with chilli oils, and a Mongolian stir fried noodles. They came in generous portion and full of flavour. Service is good and prompt. Will definitely visit again.
Spacious dumpling restaurant located in close proximity to the QVM, not sure how their interior decor of pixels fits in with dumplings however. Most of the restaurant was poorly lit during the day with insufficient natural light.
We sampled a couple of their items, pan fried pork dumplings were well crafted, lightly fried juicy morsels. A little greasy but solid one biters. Their beef noodle soup was fantastic, the firm noodles were swimming in a peppery herbally beef soup adorned with beef cubes ranging from melt in your mouth to a tad dry.
Not a bad spot for lunch, would love to return to sample their other items.
The dumpling was really cheap and the place was clean! Had to share the dumpling with a friend because it's a lot but surely come back for it! 👋🏻
Quite good dumplings. This is my regular spot for pan fried pork dumplings. They have nice delicate wrappers with juicy, well spiced meat inside. I also like the chicken and corn dumplings. I found the lamb and beef dumplings a bit disappointing tho. Service is the usual clinical efficiency typical of a dumpling house.
Have eaten there already a couple of times. I love their simple but tasty food. The dumplings are all more than enjoyable and their service is great!
This is a no frills restaurant but the pork dumplings are excellent! Cheap and cheerful. The waitress was very accomodating to us, they didn't receive the table booking request from Zomato but they were able to get a table ready for us really quickly despite the restaurant was pretty packed.
Amazing food, good staff and very clean restaurant 😊 We were seated straight away when we arrived, the food came fairly quickly and it was all delicious. I have no complaints at all
Good food, for a good price. Can't complain about it as the food was very tasty and very quick. Would recommend this place again, my kids enjoyed the deep fried ice cream too!

Staying at a nearby hotel and noticed it was busy on a Saturday afternoon. Steamed prawn dumplings and spring rolls were good but the highlight was the Chinese broccoli in Oyster sauce, delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great value too.
Ordered online with my sister who orders I Love Dumplings regularly. I was really happy with all the dumplings (especially the ones in Szechuan sauce. Had a chicken dish with it, can't remember what it's called but it was not on par with the dumplings.

This dumpling chain just opened up in the CBD. The decor is yellow lego, a bit strange but it spruces up what would be another asian restaurant. Interesting note is the kitchen is open, i like this because its an indicator this restaurant will remain clean.
Lots to love. I've walked past this place plenty of times and finally made it in one rainy day. Two colleagues were already there and l joined their table.
Full disclosure - was too hungry to take photos but the dumplings are good. Steamed vegie ones x 2 with lots of flavour, decent xiao long bao. Bill came to around $36 before tip between the of us - so $12 each for a massive lunch we all waddled happily out from.
Service was fast and efficient, definitely somewhere to go back to in future.
Great value for money as far as local delivery goes. We were pleased with the fact that the dumplings did not arrive soggy. The delivery service was wonderful, quick speed and right to my doorstep even when my apartment intercom was out of function. One of the few options open during the afternoon on a Sunday.
If your after a a quick little dumpling place for dinner on a reasonable budget, and not to crowded like the dumpling houses in china town then this is the place for you. The dumplings a fresh and will more than satisfy the average diner.
'I Love dumplings' is a low cost dumpling house that offers a range of dumplings in a cafe like restaurant with a low level of noise. The menu also includes some other items one of which is Lamb spare ribs that just melt in your mouth, salt and pepper chicken ribs that are moist inside with a crispy coating and salt and pepper squid. The dumplings are pretty basic but you never leave hungry or too much out of pocket. worth a try for a low cost feed
The dumplings here are great. We've tried most on the menu and they're pretty much consistently our favourite Melbourne dumpling location.
The service is not friendly but it is fast. Don't come here for smiles, come here for dumplings.
Love this place. The dumplings were fantastic. We tried the chicken and corn dumplings, pork dumplings with schichuan sauce, spring onion pancakes, beef and lamb dumplings. The beef and lamb dumplings are a great combination. The pork dumplings in schichuan sauce are to die for. Would surely go back. Maybe they can improve on the cleanliness a bit but overall a good food experience.
Quick, easy, delicious dumplings! Service was really quick. Wait staff was really lovely and it was great value for money. I got vegetarian dumplings and fried rice and couldn't eat all of them and it was less than $20! Very happy night out
Good, cheap dumplings. Not delicate by any means, and I'm sure you could make a rather fetching thick and warm blanket out of the dumpling skins, but they are juicy and tasty.
Falls into the same level of dumpling dining as Shanghai Street, Bowl Bowl, and Shandong Mama - all of these are good and tasty, but not exactly made of the finest ingredients I suspect. Still, if you are in the mood for dumplings, I Love Dumplings hits the spot, and they also delivery fairly widely.
Decor is minimal and clean enough. Staff are efficient, if not exactly full of fun and friendship. Bring some wine with you if you eat in.
The best dumplings! They were juicy. I had the lamb and beef dumplings. It was a decent price a great serving and everyone was pleased. Will be back.
This is my favourite place to have dumplings. The food is yummy, the service is good and really quick. I like the ambience. The staff is also friendly.

Cheap and hearty portions, as I live on the same street I always get takeaway here and most of the items on the menu are less than $10 and they actually taste quite alright. Quite a lot of choices on the menu too. Don't think this place is that great for eating in though because they have an open kitchen and a lot of grease and smoke are in the air, but they allow BYO, which is a good choice for friends looking to gather for a cheap meal over drinks...
Dumplings are absolutely Delicious. The food in general is great and I will come back but the service is very average. Also if you pay with efpos they ask you for a tip which I think is very rude. They shoved it at me and I almost put in 200. Be careful.

BEST DUMPLINGS IN TOWN! Came a few times with workmates to the outlet in Bridge Rd, delicious! We're all addicted. Very nice chilli sauce too yum.
So so. The dumplings are great. The rest of the dishes are not. Go for the dumplings but don't expect much for the rest, greasy, dry rice, big chunks of vegetable and hardly any meat in bland sauces. But as I said the dumplings are awesome :)

I LOVE DUMPLINGS RESTAURANT. For what it's worth, I'm a hospitality student studying Diploma of Hospitality Management at a Collins Street school and each and every time I've cashed in on my Scoopon coupons I've found them to be very professional. They tell me upfront that the takeaway food will take between 10-15 minutes to prepare and although I never tell them that I'm going to wait out front (having a smoke) they always find me!!! Spent many years sampling dumplings at the various restaurants in both Chinatown Melbourne and Box Hill (little Chinatown) and yet I've so very impressed with this restaurant when it comes to the extensive menu of dumplings, the service and value for money!!! 'HIGHLY' recommend - just what us Melburnians needed!!!

Stick with dumplings. Other dishes were been either painfully salty or incredibly bland.
Vegetarian. Dumplings are very average in terms of taste and flavour. But for about 9.80, you are able to buy 15 decent sized dumplings. Best suited for those looking for a filling meal with little to spend. Better yet, keep an eye out for scoopon or groupons, they tend to have offers such as, "$5 for 15 dumplings".
Haven't been this full after a meal for a long time!. And there are still unfinished dumplings we doggy-bagged home!
4pax on Groupon - great bargain! The Entree veg spring-rolls were so-so, the pan-fried dumplings were nice. Mains were pretty good too, I like "salt & pepper chicken ribs with rice", and "preserved Szechuan pickle & shredded pork noodle in soup".
Went home bought another Groupon voucher - needless to say, we'll be back!

YUM!!!. I just had a Wonton soup here and it was delicious! I agree with other reveiwers, once word gets out this place will get packed during lunch every day! The service is friendly, quick and great value for money - what else do you need!
This place is going to get very popular! Dumplings are tasty and the wrapper isn't too thick, lots of varieties and most importantly, cheap! The CBD shop has only been opened a few weeks and will become just as busy as the Racecourse Road shop no doubt.

Nice place. Went in there with a group of friends on a Saturday night. The place is quite new so not much customers yet. Good price with good value. Nice service, fast and polite. But so sad they don't have shao long bao ;(

Well decorated and cozy place in CBD area. I'm a big fan of the dumplings, they are sooooo yummy, dipping with chilly oil, reasonably priced!!! Highly recommend!

Had the steamed pork dumplings and panfried pork dumplings, both were nice. The only setback is the panfried ones weren't fully crisp, only the base of it was crisp (refer to photos). Otherwise, pretty good place to eat at!

Went here for lunch. I got the 10-15 pork dumplings pan fired. The wait was about 20 minutes but the dumplings were everything I was expecting. Some more guidance on how to make the best sauce with the soy sauce and vinegar, as well as faster delivery of food would give this place a 5 start. I would visit here again.
We ordered for 35 people. The food was hot, tasty and the service was very good. There was a mix up with the Vegetarian Dumplings, they rang and apologized - Replaced the order with spring rolls. The service was very polite - Enjoyable experience, we will be back! Thank you
Large venue, great for a quick lunch bite. 2 plates of dumplings, 1 pork and 1 vegetable, was plenty for me and my colleague. Service was friendly and efficient without being intrusive. Lots of other options available. Will return soon.
Was pretty impressed by the bang for the buck that I received here, the dumplings are tasty and cheap. Boiled pork dumplings with Sichuan chili was delicious! I wish it was a bit spicier though.
Was not impressed by the service however. I was not offered water, and while the restaurant was empty at 9pm I was ignored by the staff for quite some time until I walked up to one to ask for a table. Cheap radio music blares through and the walls are a tacky yellow 16 bit arcade thing.
