Visited the cafe few months back but forgot to review - I used to love this place but recently the quality has come down. They didn’t have an extensive menu and the staff was not very keen to serve. The place was dirty, there were bugs on the table, and the standards have come down.
Got the beef and burgundy pie which had a delicious flavour but only 2 small pieces of beef. Pastry was also raw even after reheating in the oven unfortunately. Bit disappointing when you pay $9 for a pie
Staff to ‘busy’ out back of house & stocking shelves to serve myself & 3 children for over 5 minutes even though only people there. Coffee burnt. Not worth the wait. Used to be a great little place but quality has declined as had service. Such a shame as used to be a great little spot!
The best gourmet sausage rolls I’ve had.
Nice Cafe 4.5 stars
Overall the food didn’t seem that fresh or high quality for the prices.
The ice coffee was average.
Eclair dough was quite soggy.
Croissants aren’t crispy on the outside.
The small quiches are exuberantly priced at $9.
My dining experience in this cafe was absolutely amazing! Just about everything you see behind the counter is freshly prepared daily. I strongly suggest popping in for a coffee and checking out what France has brought to a small cafe in Melbourne.
Lovely place, nice food! The shop has a lot of French goodies to try! Unfortunately, the menu has a few things that are not longer available...
