Eclipse is a quiet oasis to escape the hustle and bustle of the Docklands end of Collins Street. Tinted window obscure the modern interiors and the selection of home made sweets and counter foods. They gave fresh soup options (today’s was french onion) but more importantly they have well made coffee. I just went with house blend but it appears they have a single origin too but I’ve gotten over my coffee snobbery in recent years so was happy with the house. Would be a great spot for a work meeting.
This is the same place as Eclipse behind Rialto tower, they have moved to Docklands. Nice coffee as usual and good service! The atmosphere is an upgrade from the old place.
Coffee does really make things better, and in this case it is good coffee served by lovely staff in a big space with lots of seats. Business meetings or a quick coffee for sit down or takeaway, you are covered either way in a chic setting. When ordering a coffee in you get a table number that has coffee beans in a little metal bucket which is a cute touch.

We routinely book a small breakfast function for our CEO to meet our new starters on a regular basis and Eclipse is our go to for a perfect venue. Because we have limited time, Therese takes our orders prior to arrival which is fantastic. The food is delicious and five star, the coffee outstanding and Therese wraps up all the leftovers for us to share back at the office. More importantly, the service and the attention to detail in order for us to have an effective meeting within a short time frame is really outstanding. If you need a catered function in a friendly, vibrant local cafe, this place delivers.
Best coffee I’ve found in the Docklands area. Somewhat hidden and difficult to find but it’s worth it. Friendly and smiling employees!
Nice to our local re-opened and appears to be thriving. The coffee is excellent, and the staff warm and friendly. They have recently opened up some gluten-free food options, which I’m beginning to explore. The avocado smash was very nice.
Coffee is great, not milky, I had a regular skinny latte. Tasting notes of the house blend is as per description in the website, notes of berry and hazelnut with a rich caramel choc finish. Another good thing is you get $0.30 discount for BYOC.
Great coffee and friendly service. Good to see their $ incentives for BYO cups although it would be even better if dining-in food was served in bowls rather than single use plastics.
