More a 3.5. One of my favorite places in the district. Came with friends, partner and family before. The coffee they say was award winning and it was nice. I also got the matcha latte but that wasn't very nice. Had the all day breakfast eggs Benedict and it was pretty nice. Poked the poached eggs and it burst all over the toast. The hollandaise sauce was very nice too. Partner had the eggs Florentine and it was ok, a bit plain.
The food was nice and the waitress are very nice too.
The portion for the calamari it’s a bit small compare to other but they all very delicious that’s what important.
Coffee indeed was good. And service was not bad. Great location while you wait for when you're wife is shopping at the Dockland. The price is quite cheap for breakfast, but there is nothing special about it. Overall not a bad place to be really.
Went here a few months back after visiting the Melbourne Star Wheel. Very nice open plan setup for the cafe but it was a bit cold during the time i went (think Melbourne winter!). Would be lovely during these days though! Ordered a crevette linguine pasta and partner ordered 'the acrobat' salmon with poached egg. Also got wedges on the side as well as an organic orange juice and a coffee. Everything was delicious and huge portions for the price! The pasta was very rich and flavoursome and had lots of prawns. The juice also tasted freshly squeezed and partner mentioned that his dish had all the right flavours and his salmon was a generous serving too. Definitely a lovely place to have a coffee or meal while you're in the Harbour Town area :)
Food challenge & Suprised special cheap Price,
Le Cirque- Harbour town's Chicken Parma.... I love it😱😱👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.........................
Food and service are very good but what elevates this restaurant is the beautiful music Sam provides on a Saturday and Sunday playing the piano! This is what keeps us coming back.
Had the groupon voucher and heck its a good meal!
I went with my mum and uncles and they were pretty happy with their order. I had fish and chips and my little niece loves it and I love what my mum had it was pasta but its kinda oily but its nice. Recommended!
Located in the heart of Harbour Town, Docklands-this place has nice ambience (especially the music played on Grand Piano is so soothing!) I just ordered coffee and it was average, nothing great! Go for it for a serene, relaxing time and of course for the music!!
Value for money $25 Groupon breakfast/lunch deal w drink for two. Excellent friendly service, and casual restaurant that offers generous and hearty meal if you are at the Dockland shopping town. Hop on a City Circle, or Tram 70 to take you here (last stop) for free. Their salmon and duck risotto was flavoursome and generous, but don't expect fine dining quality as you get what you pay for.
Came here with a group on Voucher. Firstly, the voucher really worth the price and they treat me well. I started with a Large Mocha which was seriously large and tasted good as well. We ordered the Prawn Pasta and Duck Risotto. Duck Rissoto was very nice but it has too much tomato paste so I give it a 4/5. Pasta Was creamy and fresh but it did not have any salt so lack of spice 3/5. Overall, good place to go and worth a visit.
Lovely place, lovely food. Had the eggs ben; it was, well, just like most eggs bens but it was still good. Not many nice food places in the area so Le Cirque is definitely a gem!
We had a yummy lunch today; my burger is better than at most places and the chips were lovely and crisply and fresh. The coffees are great and the desserts are hard to choose from since they all look so good. Tks for allowing us to discover this place using a voucher. We'll be back.
We went here today and was entertained by the terrific music being played by the pianist there. We heard the music as walked by so we went it and had a coffee and cake and sat and relaxed there listening. Really nice and entertaining
Wow, what a pleasant place to dine!
Very nice place to chill and relax during work or shopping breaks.
Food was not the best, but still satisfiable.
My chicken parma was quite large, with ample fries! Unfortunately, some of the fries were darkened; seems like the peel is left on the fry which is unusual.
The salmon was fresh and delicious; so was the pasta.
Their iced drinks were incredible! I loved my iced chocolate and my friend loved his iced mocha.
Overall, the portions are average, perhaps towards the smaller size.
Would return if I was around Harbour Town again!
Lovely meal, friendly staff, prompt service and appropriate pricing. Really pretty to sit outside and enjoy a lovely coffee.
Would love to return next time we are in the CBD
Have been to Le Cirque for three times now, first two times to the Southern Cross one and recently to Harbor Town shop. Never get disappointed with the food. Very nice French food and great environment. Lamb Ribs, Atlantic Salmon and beef burger are all delicious. Would highly recommend it!
Prefer it here to the Spencer outlet store - they give bigger servings and food comes very fast, maybe because we came at 1:30 on a Monday afternoon. The service, ambience and decor may not be as good as the Spencer store but the food and efficiency wins over. Had to wait for ages for our food last time we visited the Spencer one, but that was probably because it was during Sunday lunchtime. Hubby ordered the big top breaky as usual with 4 extra items, and it was massive. I had the Victorian - smashed avocado with truffled mushroom eggs and croissants. It was so delicious. The eggs were to-die-for and the croissants were crispy and matched the eggs very well. Also quite generous serving of avocado. Will definitely return!
A fantastic experience, beyond all expectations. We went to Le Cirque on a voucher and, as my other reviews make clear, we haven't always found these to be entirely honest or value for money. This was way, way better than either of us expected. We got to choose anything from the lunch or breakfast menu so as we were there at brunch-time, I opted for the Big Top Brekky while my wife plumped (and I use the word suggestively) for fish and chips. The staff were incredibly friendly, delivered our drinks and food promptly and were even able to satisfy an additional request for mustard (look, just read my other reviews and you'll see why I'm blown away by such a simple fact!). The portions were huge and everything was cooked to loving perfection. We struggled to finish our meals while listening to a live pianist in the store and people-spotting those making their way down the main thoroughfare of Harbour Town. There is even a delightful play area for kids right next door to make for a quieter and calmer place in the café for adults wanting to chat. Best. Breakfast. Ever.
absolutely love this place! As it is in the entertainment book, I always do a high tea with my daughter at least once a year. Service is wonderful and live the piano player. Always a very relexing and yummy time had here.
Love this place.. A trip to Costco isn't always relaxing so we come here every time first for lunch and it's always amazing.
The beef roll is to die for and would be likened to a fine French steak with all the sauces on the best roll ever. The chicken Parma was a HUGE portion and was great quality and really hit the spot.
The coffees are great and we love the live pianist as nobody can hear our screaming child or any of the other screaming children in the area. It's a real gem this place!
Fantastic!!! Duck risotto was delish, great burger with tastey home made patty and top it off with a 'bowl' of hot chocolate - heaven!!!
Jim Smythe. Atmosphere super, waitress super, coffee the best I have had, food just to die for, serious this chef knows his stuff. Back there soon.
Bellisimo just fantastic. WOW is all i can say...best breakfast
My eggs benedict was amazing!!! The hollandaise was one of the best Ive had. It had a slight hint of curry in the background while the smoked ham and poached egg made for the perfect bite. I also loved the extra toast to my muffin helping to not become too soggy. Of course I ate the entire thing!
There was a good deal, $10 for $20 voucher at Stardeals worth of food at Le Cirque, a pretty little cafe in Docklands (Melbourne CBD). Mmm we ate a lot for this meal. Location: 27 Star Crescent, Melbourne (this is within the Harbourtown at Docklands) - see map Website: official website , reviews on urbanspoon Price: ~$10 for breakfast items, ~$17 for mains (lunch) and $5 for milkshakes - see full menu Food: Eggs florentine - poached eggs with a generous serving of spinach and Hollandaise sauce, on English muffin. Standard breakfast stuff, nicely cooked, good runny yolk in the middle, sauce balanced nicely with the ingredients. Mmm quite filling. Calamari salad - ah perhaps this is what I had in mind when I ordered the salad at the Homestead recently. This was a great serving of lots of calamari, lots of salad and a yummy dipping sauce. I don't usually order salads (because leaves are cheap to buy in the supermarket) but felt this was worth the price. Atlantic salmon - "cooked medium ra
Great staff Great coffee &.... Great staff
Great coffee & food
Whenever I am in Harbour Town this is the best cafe to visit
The best coffee i have ever had in my life staff is so friendly and well dressed , humble and fully loaded with beautiful customer service skill, food is delicious the presentation is stunning As soon as i saw my LAMB SALAD i wanted to have its beautiful smell of spices was mKing my mouth watery . it will be the great experience would love to come again
Worth a try. Coffee is fantastic though quite overpriced. Food is delicious and great value for money - although the chef is always too hollandaise happy on the eggs benny, way too much sauce! Always come here for a good breaky on a Sunday.
Love the vibe, energy, music, friendly service with a smile, not to mention gorgeous cakes and coffee!
Highly recommended!
Great food, friendly yet professional service and the piano was such a nice touch.
Worth a return visit!
Awesome place, I have been a semi regular here for the past 5 years and the team at Le Cirque never disappoint. Beautiful coffee from their own blend, delicious meals whether from the menu or deli, mind blowing cake cabinet with a rainbow of sweets and just the most pleasant customer service. I wish more cafés were this friendly to customers. My highest recommendations.
Great Food and Great Service. We came in with a groupon voucher, and thought that the food is good, and also the service. The waiters are friendly and helpful. However, one thing we don't really like is when we called to book, it sounds as if they are very busy and packed that they need to schedule us at 11:30 am for lunch, but when we turn up, there were plenty of chairs available that you don't even need to book before hand. Overall, food is good and service is great, but wouldn't come back if no groupon voucher.
Ms Jan Berger. Le Cirque Fine Foods provides excellent meals...from Atlantic Salmon to Battered Flathead ,Fillet Steak and Risotto ...etc....together with extremely courteous waitress, Elizabeth and prompt service...
With the Groupon vouchers...each and every one of us...can't believe how incredibly cheap it is...and the coffee is the best in town!
I highly recommend Le Cirque Fine Foods...
Good coffee. Come here for my daily cappa. Staff are very friendly, professional and happy to serve you. Breaky is okay, need a bit more flavour though, but overall one of the best cafes in docklands
I came here with a groupon voucher which allowed you to choose anything from their breakfast/lunch menu and any drinks which was a great deal.
It's in a shopping plaza but the cafe is open and inviting with a piano man who plays beautifully to entertain the diners. All the staff were really friendly and all smiles.
They have a wide variety of food on offer so my husband opted for their seafood linguine, my mum their salmon and dad had their breakfast clay pot. Generous portions but hit and miss in regards to taste. My iced chai latte was lukewarm but my husband's iced chocolate was better. My husband linguine had a good mix of seafood but pasta wasn't al dante and he didn't like the sauce. Salmon was over cooked and the baked eggs was overly salty.
Still it was a great lunch value lunch in Docklands.
If your looking for fine dining then this is the best place to be at. The most amazing service, mouth watering gourmet food. Reminds me of the streets in Paris.
Nice location in Docklands! used Groupon voucher - very good deal. Staff were helpful and food order arrived in time. Food is good portion size, all we're good apart from the burger beef patties which I didn't like. Awesome pianoist which is a bonus with live music
We are blessed with great choice of cafés in Melbourne. This one stands put as clearly one of the best. It's most definitely the best in the Docklands. Great coffee, beautiful food, lovely ambience and friendly staff. Tick, tick, tick, tick!
Le Cirque fine foods you should be proud. Went to Le cirque and found that the whole experience was great, the food was fantastic. The waiters were passionate and very helpful. Listening to the pionoist whilst dining just topped my experience, it is really something unique.
Thank you Stephen for all the wonderful tips that you shared with me about things to do and see in Melbourne!
It was a lovely experience and I look forward to coming back.
We had breakkie at this Sunday! All staffs are so friendly and the coffee was a highlight! Great brunch place at docklands, we will def be back;)
Simply WOW. Been to Le Cirque quite a few times now, and I've eaten there twice so far!
First time I had a small meal, it was MAGNIFICENT!!
Second time, I ordered a pasta, absolutely LOVED IT!
Service is great, food is superb, and I LOVE the man who plays the piano.
Keep it up :)
Music from the Heart. Thank you sincerely Le Cirque. I had the privilege and joy to experience one of the best Pianists I have ever seen or heard. His name is Sam Kristy. I enjoyed the food and great coffee of the venue, but what made the unique difference was the extraordinary talent and performance of your Resident Pianist. Where did you find this guy? He could play just about everything, with a huge range of pieces and repertoire. My partner and I were only going to stay for 10 minutes, when we ended up leaving two hours later. We asked him to play a host of different pieces.Without batting an eyelid, he proceeded to execute the musical pieces (all by memory and no music) with delicate precision and passion. He had incredible arrangements, which I noticed moved the audience, with people around me commenting on his choice of music, and his interpretations and sensitivity. The day we were there the place was packed. It's no wonder .... because Le Cirque has discovered a diamond. May you keep on sparkling ..I highly recommend the place to all lovers of great music and food.
Decent coffee, open early on Sunday. I'm exploring the Docklands more now that I live in this end of town. During my previous four years in Melbourne, when I was a typical "south of the Yarra" type living in Elwood, I regarded the Docklands as nothing but "a Stalinist wind tunnel" as some wag in The Age termed it. That's still true, but I want to learn the lay of the (dock) land anyway. It's easy to explore a place by bicycle on Sunday mornings, but what to do about coffee at 8 a.m.? That's where Le Cirque came in. Thanks for being open, mates!
My large flat white was strong, like Italian coffee, although there was a slight grassy edge to the flavour. I'm not sure what sort of beans they use. And my taste buds are ultra-persnickety when it comes to analysing coffee, so take that as the opinion of a pompous snob. Overall, it was a decent cuppa. Le Cirque has a large selection of pre-made brekky items such as sandwiches and quiche, a roster of eggs Benny-type made-to-order dishes, but I went with my usual -- a sweet pastry. The pecan tart I had was pleasant, not too expensive at $4.90. I've paid $5.50 for similar pastries at hospital cafeterias. Service was nice -- the waiters got my items out to me in no time flat, so no issues as other diners have had. OTOH, it was 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, so it's not like they were overly busy. I reckon Le Cirque is a decent place to stop for a touristy shopping precinct.
Wow - what an experience?. The place was very positive, the vibe was fun, and atmosphere just rocked, the staff all look like they enjoy being there, they're friendly and bubbly, also, I should mention that I had the pleasure of being served by the owner, who managed to build an amazing team at Le Cirque, he was very passionate and proud of what he does and had so much knowledge about fine foods and just loved coffee. There was a pianist and that topped of the beauty of the place, and so that coupled with great music, amazing food and coffee and fantastic customer service surely means; I'll be back!!! and cant wait!!!
I been here million times and each time it gives me a reason to come back again
Thank you guys for being so friendlly and food was yumm!!!
Ce n'est pas français. Lunch today at Le Cirque was kind of a mixed bag. While the name gives off the impression of a French bistro, a once-over of the menu tells otherwise. With no real theme or specific cuisine (for example there's tapas, chicken parmas, pastas and high teas to choose from) it's kind of all over the place.
They have a few arcade games in the outdoorsy section so people with children would find this handy, I'm sure. There's a couple of tables in the middle of the cafe dedicated to selling local produce - flavoured olive oils, honey pots, gingerbread and other bits and pieces that are sure to catch your eye.
We ordered the wagyu beef on a homemade bun w/ Swiss cheese, fries & a tomato relish and the chicken parmigiana w/ fries & salad and a double cappuccino w/ hazelnut. The food in itself was fairly average. There's nothing special about the food, you could get the same thing from your local pub, that's not to say it was bad though. The highlight was the hazelnut cappuccino...it was perfect.
The staff were very friendly and liked to have a chat with all entering customers. Another positive was the standard of cleanliness...they were very efficient with noticing spills and crumbs and made sure everything was tidy and wiped up. We would give this place another go, but wouldn't go out of our way to eat here.
Best breakfast! Scrabbled eggs, bacon , mushroom, spinach cooked to perfection!
