Pie Face - Melbourne - Photo album

We bought two chunky steak pies which were, at the same time, overcooked and cold. One was loaded with gristle and totally inedible. We also bought a beef sausage roll which just didn’t taste very nice. Really disappointing; I used to quite enjoy a Pie Face treat.
These used to be best pies around now they are the most expensive and they have dropped their game. Pies are either too cold or dry after sitting in warmer for 24 hours. Ther staff cant keep the warmer stocked even when their not busy. The staff are rude and will sell you a pie then tell you they ar
Enjoyed money off the normal rack rate given the time of day. Went with the Chicken, Bacon and Cheese pie and it was very tasty, and the filling was satisfyingly hot. Glad this place was there as I rushed between meetings.
Nice staff. But the Pie is just ordinary. I think I can buy the same quality in supermarket.
After reading all other reviews and then experiencing the pies and coffee at Pie face, I can say that they have surely improved their services. The staff is friendly, smiling and helpful. Pies taste good and you get just enough space to taste those leisurely sitting down inside.
We were in search of a simple bread roll with cheese to take on a train. The man in pie face went out of his way to make one specially, cling wrapped it and supplied napkins. Rare to have such awesome service these days. Thanks heaps =)
How can a chain dedicated to pies make bad pies? The chicken pie was bottom third filling, to two thirds air. Structurally it fell apart after 3 mouthfuls. Filling was pretty geletanous. Chicken bits tiny. Friendly service though.
Pie Face always has great sandwiches/toasties. But I asked for cheese and tomato and she toasted the cheese, tomato and ham, when I realized and told her she just took the ham out... The cookies are good and the staff are nice
