Review Ladida - Melbourne

Steppin' Out Events
I wanted to share an e-mail I just sent to the owner of La Di Da, Barry. As my Google Review. I booked the whole venue for one of my singles events. I just have one word for your Venue Manager, Staff, Security, Chef, and Kitchen Crew “EXCEPTIONAL”.!! The night was just wonderful and everything I ask for or even mentioned some ideas it was no trouble. I was greeted the whole night with a smile and my members felt very welcomed, safe and had a ball. I wanted to thank your chef for the outstanding food that came out of his kitchen. Ample food, high standard, and a diverse selection. The Security who went out of their way to take enquiries at the door, touch base with me on a couple of people and in the end call me a cab and helped with equipment. The fantastic bar staff who juggled some cocktails in the Champagne lounge and kept drinks flowing all night. Lastly your Venue Manager Uma is amazing. She takes a lot of pride in her work, clear with instructions, pays attention to detail and is an excellent communicator. The venue was spotless, and you could tell how proud everyone was to work in a positive environment. I believe you will see a few private function bookings from the night. In general, you are just a delight to deal with and I feel very blessed to have walked through your doors. Please pass on my thanks to everyone involved. Take care and look forward to future ventures.

Had a function for 45 at the cocktail bar. Food was plentiful and venue was nice and cosy. Perfect place for a stand up party/get together. Decently priced as well.

We recently celebrated our 30th at La Di Da in the Cocktail Lounge. I could not recommend Barry and his team enough. Barry was very accommodating and always had us in mind, wanting us to have the best time. Emily was very attentive during the night and was happy to help us at any stage. The food we ordered was delicious and many of our guests made comment on how much they enjoyed it. We had the best night and were so happy that we chose La Di Da.

I booked the champagne lounge for my birthday bash and it was a great success thanks mostly to this fabulous venue, access to great sound and audio technology, delicious food, great drinks and gorgeous staff. The manager Uma and other staff were delightful, accommodating and warm to my guests. Barry was incredibly professional and his communication was outstanding. My friends and family were very impressed and will keep LaDiDa in mind when they book a function. We are still all buzzing.

Excellent. After calling venues all around Melbourne, La Di Da was the only one that made the process seamless and easy. The value they brought to the event, the quality of the food and the service of the staff were incredible. 'No' was not in their vocabulary and clear communication made booking this venue one less thing to worry about. Would highly recommend any event being organised at La Di Da.

I finally threw my 30th birthday in the Cocktail lounge after many attempts due to Covid..I'm so glad I did!! Barry was amazing during the lead up and so helpful, he even went out of his way to change the menu with the chef for the vegans!! Emily was great coordinating on the night and the security and bartenders did a great job 👍 very professional! Highly recommended :)

Held a 19th at the cocktail bar with around 120 people at this venue and it was a great night. The staff and security were all really helpful and friendly. The setup of the room, the speakers and the lighting helped make the night great as well.

My partner booked a cocktail party for 80 guests here at Ladida in April. He liaised with Steve for his booking. On the night everything ran smoothly, from the staff on the night coordinating our external vendors such as photobooth, decorations, drinks and servicing. We cannot fault this venue. Decent price for the food and drinks package and reasonable minimum spend for a Friday night. Thanks for making it a breeze to plan a birthday party at your venue!

Stopped for some predrinks at La di Da I hadn't been here in so long but the place has been completely revamped and looks amazing. Its a great setting for a drink.

We called past La Di Da bar for a couple of happy hour drinks. Their happy hour pricing goes from 4-7 on a Monday to Thursday and offers $10 cocktails and $5 spirits, wines and beers. I have eaten in a few<br/>Time on a busy Friday lunch and found the food reasonable good classic pub fare. Tonight we had a super cooked rose wine and I have the Holiday Dreaming cocktails which has just about everything I like<br/>In a drink from gin the lime and mint.

Great decor in the venue. Ambient lighting, prompt kind service. The Parma was perfected, the chips salty and crunchy absolutely perfect. The burger looked juicy and delicious, definitely recommend for a quiet lunch time surprise

Went here at lunch time. They have recently refurbished a part of interiors and also updated their menu recently. This impacted their lunch special weekday meals which they offered earlier at nominal prices have now become expensive and also the food taste was not the same. Was a bit disappointed at our recent visit here. <br/>But it is overall a good place with generous seating space snd loads of variety to offer.

I organised La Di Da as part of my bestfriends Hens Party - Barry was AMAZING to work with, by far the easiest person of the whole experience and also such a joy as well. 6 months in the making and when we got there we were NOT disappointed. They organised the champagne room for us, facilities beautiful, food - TOP NOTCH and the service was impeccable, they then allowed us into the club to boogy our butts off until we crawled out. This place should be a definite in any hens special day - we had the BEST TIME. Thanks Barry and the whole La Di Da Crew!!!

Sat under the awning. The heat really radiated off the blinds. They need to be white on the top, to reflect. Felt like heaters were on and no air. But... Service was excellent. Lovely, bubbly girl knew her stuff off the top of her head. Shared nibblies were great. Enjoyed the arancini balls and dips the best. Veggie burger was huge to look at but it was mostly bun. The pattie was tasty but fell apart because it was made with chunky veg. Very messy to eat. I scraped the yoghurt off the bun and ate only the filling. Chips had no sauce so I used the spicy relish from the arancini. Wished I'd ordered the ravioli with pesto. That looked really good and was better value for money ($14.50 vs my $17.50). Good range of beers to choose from.
The Dear Luncher
For whatever reason, this place has been avoided as much as The Dear Luncher avoids healthy foods. Walked past many times, it just seemed like a dump from the outside. But this place surprises. It's a bit run down, but it has an allure about it and plenty of space to sit down for lunch or a big after work drinks sesh.<br/><br/>The popcorn chicken pizza is a real winner. A winner winner chicken pizza dinner, if you will. Ok that's quite enough.
Juhi- Culture And Cuisine
Went for after work drinks on Friday and had a great time. It got really packed and for all the right reasons. The music was great and the vibe really chill too.

La Di Da is always consistent and good value especially for bigger groups! The food is what you would expect in a nightclub/pub environment with a nice atmosphere. I believe drinks are little on the expensive side but I guess you are paying ‘nightclub’ prices even during the day.

We had our workplace Christmas party here a few weeks ago. We paid $28 per person and there would have been just under 20 of us. We were aware that it was meant to be finger food but at $28 a head we assumed that the servings would be equivalent to one main meal per person. All we got was three regular sized bowls of a few different snacks which was nothing special (spring rolls, deep fried calamari, curry puffs and one or two other dishes). We finished pretty early and some went out for dinner afterwards while the rest of us had dinner at home. Seriously, I reckon I've been to other bars which have offered patrons that much finger food free of charge. The food might have been ordered offsite and, in that case, all they had to do was put it in the oven or microwave, so if we wanted that for our Christmas party, we could have paid $3-4 per person and got some frozen finger food from Coles.

Went with a few work mates for lunch and ordered a burger. I wish I took a photo because the bottom of the bun had mould! Gross! Got a refund and left...

We went there with a Groupan voucher for Kings of Comedy and a free drink last Friday night.<br/>We got there early and it was very busy with after work people but in a good way. <br/>I had a look on the menu, prices were quite all right for the size & look of the meals. We did not have food though. <br/>After a drink we went downstairs for our free drink and the show. We really enjoyed the show and laughed for 2 hours. It was a very good night.

Comfy bar with heaps of space and a nice outdoor area if it's not raining. Good for after work drinks and good for big groups. Takes bookings. Good happy hour prices. Shared some chips and they were pretty good. Bar staff were all friendly. Nothing too special, but a good spot for a drink after work if you're in the area.
The Gastronaut
Usual bar setup with regular bar food and drinks. Went there on a friday night - the place was busy with after-works drinks people. It went quiet after 8pm. They had $5 spirits, which was good. Food was alright.

Is there anyway to give 0/10? Piss poor job blocks. Bouncers were absolutely horrendous, so rude! and Atmosphere inside was so dull, left after an hour of your antics.

In my 20's, YES ..... but not for an office function<br/><br/>I do not know who organised the venue, but when vendors and  State Government Tourism Body organised a function, we just have to go along with it.<br/><br/>Having said that, I'm glad I went, got a bit of recollection of my 20's.<br/><br/>King St location, it caters to everyone's clubbing needs; loud music pumping, laser lights beaming all over the venue smoking area at the back, which I was hoping to be my Idaho, but not so with all the smokes. The open area at the back is the best part of this venue to mingle, pity not enough of good red wines around. Don't worry, there are plenty of booze, not necessarily the more refined wines.<br/><br/>Food wise, your typical function spread, nothing exciting nor bad, just plenty and non-stop. I'm just glad that I did not foot the bill and I'm sure it will be within the Marketing budget. <br/><br/>Yes to party on ..... No to a more mellow, civilized conversation.Jasmine Trika

Accepts all comers. Superlative on all levels. Great combo of lunching morphing into cruisy night scene. La Di Da has earned my five stars 👍🏼

Ladida's a venue I've been able to come to on and off over the last 8 years and I've never had a bad experience here. The music is great the staff are friendly and officiant and the food and drinks are always impressive. It's a great venue to have casual drinks with the girls, or a big night out for a dance. I do recommend ladida to many of my friends and family regularly as it suits all budgets and occasions! :)

Organised my 40th bday party and what a great choice. Barry was so easy to deal with before the day arrived and have to say what a great night with both Gary and Sam behind the bar. fantastic to deal with, gave me everything I asked for and everyone was on board on the night about requests I made for the night. All my friends had a blast and I ended up having a great 40th celebration.<br/><br/>Thanks for a fantastic night everyone at La Di da, especially Gary and Sam. Had great laughs with them both.<br/><br/>

Had a great 21st birthday party here. Finger food served on the night was great and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would happily return and recommend to others.

From outside , You will not be able to make out that  there is something like this inside.  SInce I was staying at King's street  , we were roaming  around on one weekday  looking for good food. ( We were in Melbourne after all :P ) But since we came late from Office , most of the places were closed or getting closed. That was the time we found this place and it was open. Ambiance  :  A little dark, With low music ( I think because of the weekday ) and with a lot of colorful lights. There are high chairs , Separate smoke zone area and a lovely seating space. Their bar looks lovely. Food: We were three of us, and there was some weekday offer of a mains and a drink so all of us ordered that . Vegetarian pizza ,Chicken burger ,Hawaiin pizza. I would not say that the pizza was the best Pizza I have ever had , but the ambiance and  the food quiet complimented each other . and  both the pizzas and burger were upto the mark. VFM : the weekday offer was around 11 dollars with the drink which is pretty good actually .

Love the vibe in this place. The service was excellent. We went for an office lunch here and some wanted to split the bill and they were very accommodative although that's not normal practice. Everyone's food was great. Burgers and Parma particularly. I had a Vegie salad with porched egg. The flavours were great!
Michael Adziovski
Eh<br/>The vibe in this place is good and chill but that is the only thing going for it...<br/><br/>The service was ok but I hate places where the server does not write down your order thus they come back 3 times to confirm what you got...<br/><br/>We ordered a steak with veggies and mash, chicken burger and peri peri pizza...<br/><br/>The steak was burnt something shocking when we ordered medium rare and the mash potatoes were something out of a home brand packet that you boil... No flavour, clompy and bleughhhh<br/><br/>The chicken burger didn't come with what was said it would come with on the menu<br/><br/>The pizza was the best thing however they gave us a tandoori pizza when we asked for the peri peri<br/><br/>Maybe it was just a bad night for them, but I'm not going back anytime soon with the far better options in the area<br/>
Meeateor
Decent for a quick drink and snack before moving on. Pleasant on weekdays - always enough people around so it's not awkward, but quiet enough to be the "no fuss" option.
Nick The Greek
Great range of share plates on offer , good healthier salad options and a great happy hour. Come along on a Friday night to enjoy up and coming local comedians supported by some good headline acts. Range of $10 cocktails all day. A good night out.

Pub lunch | good value cheap eats | add to the work lunch rotation <br/>We love heading to la di da for a cheap pub lunch, on Fridays we get the steak or parma with a glass of house wine or a pot of Carlton Draught for $20. The types of steak they use aren't always consistent but the flavours are good and the servings are large.
The New Fave
With only a 2.4 rating on Zomato, I didn't have high hopes going into La Di Da, but luckily I was pleasantly surprised. La Di Da offers ridiculously cheap lunch specials during the week.  For only $15 I managed to get myself  a parma with chips and salad, and a house white wine. For such good value, the parma was actually pretty good.  The chips were well seasoned and the chicken was plump and juicy - nicely topped off with a herbed napoletana sauce.
Sexyfoodscientist92
Just came here for an after work dinner and was abosolutely delighted to find out that I could get a parma for $12.50!! Parma was fine for the price, the atmosphere was pretty awesome..but what left the most positive mark was the customer service from one waitress by the name of Sophia! Awesome, bubbly, honest, friendly...something that I reckon is quite hard to find in hospitality. Simply, the ideal hospitality waitress :) One entree was unfortunately forgotten, but was made up for with free booze! Will certainly be back! :D
Jaredoshea
Good venue, good specials, ok food.. The specials are good, ie 12.50 parma for lunches, the venue is nice. I recommend if you plan on having a beer or two. Morepub style than restaurant style.

Good for private dining. It provides good food, good service and good ambience for party!

Average dinner but good cocktails!. Went here for a hen's night. Ordered the parma which was very average and the chips not cooked well enough. However, the lychee cocktail in the jar was lovely - nice and sweet! Would probably only recommend this place for drinks. <br/><br/>(Waiting staff were very pretty but could do with some smiles - or perhaps a break?)

My friends and I were very new to Burlesque and we were quite curious of how it’s performed as well as.. how naked the entertainers get. The entertainers basically performed on the stage at 10 minutes intervals and performed for less than 5 minutes each; they role-played with fetish costumes and strip to lingerie at the end of their dance. We saw belly dancer, cow girl, girl with the whip and some ditsy maid. I wouldn’t say that they were all turn ons but they weren’t turn offs either; we saw a lot more couples and working class at La Di Da ha on that evening.

I’ve always considered La Di Da as a nightclub, granted my only exposure to it before yesterday was on the nights that it joins Bang and Next to become the “Plastic” mega-club. So when I heard that they also served food my interest was indeed piqued. A few of the regulars couldn’t make it this week so it was going to be a quiet night – because of this I forwent calling and booking a table. “It’ll be fine” I said to myself “we’ll get a table no problem”. However if I had’ve called ahead I would have been told that the entire dining area was booked out for a private function. Smooth move right there. We arrived and (luckily) managed to secure one of the tables in the side bar, completely walled off from the dining area

The food isn't all that special, but I enjoy the Moroccan chicken breast. Friday nights has really cheap drinks between 5-6, but it's also very busy. I enjoy the heated outdoor area.

7/10 = Satisfied. Food: I ordered the Vegetarian Burger and it was surprisingly good! The bun was crusty and the patty was made from chickpea & roast sweet potato, and finally the harissa yoghurt really topped it off!<br/><br/>Environment: I would have never walked in here if it wasn't for a work lunch. It was very dark inside (felt like entering a casino), it had a pub feeling to it and very spacious. Staff was friendly.<br/><br/>Verdict: I'm looking forward to coming back to have the same Vegetarian Burger!

Happy Diner. Great food, great venue!!!<br/><br/>staff were vibrant as well as knowledgeable when it came to ordering my glass of wine.<br/>would recommend this place to anyone!!<br/><br/>keep it up guys!

Great place, great food!!. Had the lamb wrap for lunch, can honestly say, it was the best lamb wrap I've had for quite sometime.<br/>Puts any Souvlaki joint to shame. Big size meal with fluffy chunky chips and the price.......cheap!!<br/>Great vibe to the place, everyone there seemed to be happy & relaxed. Staff are friendly & the owners are great guys. They introduced themselves & I enjoyed a good chat over a nice cold beer. Steve I look forward to meeting you again. Ignore all the negative reviews, some people are hard to please! Will definitely be back!

Went with work colleagues very casually dressed. Wasn't served for a half an hour.(Other patrons were seated and served before our table) Staff were rude and food was extremely average for the price. Confronted the manager and was told to "f*** off, its too busy to listen to your s***." Can safely say I wont be back

The food at Ladida is good.. We had a team lunch last week .. Venue look beautiful .. Nice place
JFoxtrot
No complaints. I had a very pleasant meal here on a Monday evening as a solo female traveller - staff were polite, and my order arrived promptly. I ordered the Thai green chicken curry and a glass of the house red, followed by a passionfruit caprioska. Everything was lovely, and the meal came to a very reasonable $32.50. I would happily dine here again.

Team lunch. Went for team lunch yesterday 22 people, great customer service & best food! I had the fish in mustard sauce wrap w beautiful jasmine rice, best I ever had & recommend everybody to try it!!!!!!!

Food excellent. Highly recommended food, good fresh produce and skilled staff in kitchen

Disappointed. My daughters hens night was held at this venue, from the minute we arrived it was a shambles. It was way over priced and they did not deliver on what had been booked. Be careful, these are nights you cannot get back!
Undergrindevent
Is this place for real?. My first mistake was entering the venue. Point blank. Second would be expecting any kind of decent service, the bartender was incredibly rude and blunt to me. She clearly knew nothing about customer service and I was left to my own accord to find a seat and a menu. When it appeared no table service was provided, I approached the bar again to be greeted with "Yes, what?" and a blank stare. I ordered a cocktail and after waiting five minutes and watching the girl fumble around in the corner I assumed she was getting on to it and would bring it to my table. Wrong. Finally I noticed another staff member in the bar who I asked to help with my drink. He got around to it and it was quite nice, just what I needed to take the edge off of this disastrous venture into the seedy, sour smelling venue that is LaDiDa. I decided not to attempt dinner and to leave quickly after my drink was consumed.
Elly_berry_9
Worst service. I was planning a formal dinner for 50 people, first of all rang up and was spoken to rudely and wasn't even on the phone for a minute. I was then greeted with a high price of $200 just to sit in their restaurant which would not be added to the bar of food at the end of the night. My Father than rang up to enquire about it and was hung up on and staff admitted to it. They were rude and unwelcoming, not really a place i would like to be!!!
Kayla
Was nice for someone with no taste buds. I am not sure if chefs need to be some what accredited these days, your should stick to their day job because you food was pathetic. The snapper - who the hell serves Heinz bake beans as side. <br/>Risotto - lets just say i was a little dehydrated after the amount of salt that was used<br/>The decor resembles some what of a 2 year olds birthday party. <br/>So to get to the point, I won't be coming back!
Beermonster
Didn't feel particularly welcome.... We booked a large section for a Christmas party, so 40 of us spent about 5 hours there, spent a fortune on food and drinks. 6pm came and our allocated time was up. We were ushered out (that's fine, but it was rudely done). The thing is, we were keen to stay on. We were made to join the back of the queue. After being there for 5 hours and spending, what, $5,000, they kick us out and make us queue? Needless to say, we left and spent the rest of our money elsewhere...

Friday night Dinner & Show Package: Staff were nice however the music was far too loud. It was actually piercing. I mentioned it & was told, was the 5th person who complained but the Manager said no, must be that loud. I understand they are trying to create an atmosphere however the music was so loud, if the manager turned it down even 10% I'm sire the crowd would have enjoyed themselves more. Show was ok, food wasn't the best, very small servings. I felt sorry for the standing patrons, they looked like sardines. If you decide to go, bring ear plugs esp for when the MC yells into the microphone. I'm all up for a great entertaining show, however it was beyond loud, it was uncomfortable. But overall, an ok night.
Thomas Lee
Awesome night. Great friendly staff, excellent cocktails and atmosphere

OUR GREAT EXPERIENCE FRIDAY 26 APRIL 2013. We bought a voucher to LA DI DA via Cudo: a real bargain as my husband and I wished to see a good Burlesque Show n'more. Our experience is VERY POSITIVE and will explain why:<br/>Despite the voucher having a deadline: Barry McCabe had the kindness to extend the date: we were supposed to go on Friday 19/4: our wedding anniversary but, my husband was on stand-by and, we were forced to cancelled. Barry had the kindness to extend the date for us : a Big Plus<br/>On arrival: a warm welcome: nice smile by the P.R.O. lady: a plus<br/>Drinks were served promptly by 3 x very efficient Bar attendants: they even did not bother to give me a fresh glass of water whenever I wished and ,yes do drink plenty of cold water<br/>The canapes/snacks were abundant , well presented, tasty<br/>Drinks as well as food on the menu very affrodable<br/>Got a table in the spare of the moment: Great food, presentation and price<br/>The MC was great: it was to the same std as one sees in Europe: classy. So was the show: very professional<br/>The Music took us to the nice 80's: yes, great it was : a bit too Loud as we also enjoy to talk ...so, it took over but, easy to rectify<br/>The staff was on the ball: also the Indian young men who clear tables ...they were pleasant and polite<br/>All indicates GOOD MANAGEMENT<br/>We had a MEMORABLE EVENNING AND CAN ONLY SAY: THANKS TO BARRY AND ALL YOUR STAFF: LOVE LA DI DA!
Frannyk21
Couldn't be happier. A big thank you to the staff at Ladida for making our lunch time meeting such a success. The food was prepared and served in a timely manner and was faultless. I would also like to add that the managers and staff could not have been more helpful and courteous. Keep up the good work. We have decided to make it a more regular event, see you again soon.

VERY BAD!!! - Racist, sexist, ageist. This bar greets you with ego & superiority. You are made to feel unwelcome and not good enough. The bouncers are verbally aggressive and are out to ensure that the general public cannot have a good night out in Melbourne. La di da will only provide entry to people who are dressed the way they like & look the way they like. Bar Manager has a shocking attitude towards women. Cannot believe places like this exist in such a great city.
Hitthewall
The bouncers at this place on sat night are the most disgusting people I have ever meet. The way they speak to women is disgusting. If you want to be discriminated against go here.
Bernie
Alas, I have found you :). I've been looking for a place like La Di da for a long time. They are few and far between.<br/>Quality food, contemporary setting and genuine staff who are not only good to look at but good at what they do.<br/>Our lunch today was fantastic and I will definetly be coming back with my work crew..<br/>Cant wait for Friday after work drinks... $10 cocktails !!!!

LA Di Dadah.,,,!!!! ***** F.... LA Di Dadah.,,,!!!! *****<br/>Finally, a place where you can enjoy a great meal and entertainment without all the pretentious food wannabe's. <br/>the staff were friendly and accommodated the extra 3 guests who joined our table unexpectedly.. Well done la di dada

Never again. We had our work Christmas party at this terrible venue on 30th November. We had been told that our company would have the entire venue to ourselves until midnight, then exclusive use of the downstairs bar until 5am. At 11pm they started letting in the general public, allowing themdown to our "private" bar. After midnight they started forcing some of my workmates to leave the venue to make way for more of the general public. We paid for food for 600 people but they only handed out enough for 200. Many of the staff were rude, in particular the security staff who abused a number of patrons for no good reason. La Di Da were happy to take the tens of thousands of dollars we spent on our event, but they delivered very little. It was a disappointing experience.
Jess
Nothing special. Staff was rude and unhelpful. Don't waste your time here.
Melanie Unitt
Went here for a group dinner...worst food and service I've ever experienced. Don't waste you time or money.
Kayos
Crowded and crap. Got the Burlesque voucher from one of the websites. They pack you in like sardines and there is NO WHERE to sit..standing room only around the bar and stage. The "canapes" were fried chicken balls, more fried chicken balls and something else fried. what a joke..The burlesque girls might of been good but all I could see was the tops of their heads :( my partner and I left when the second girl came on stage because we were sick of getting knocked around by people trying to move through the bar. I highly recommend Burlesque Bar in Fitzroy if you are looking for a more relaxed and intimate Burlesque show but obviously you have to put up the $$$.
Jasyn Mitchell
The service is barely passable and you'd think a smile would crack the faces of the wait staff. All in all not worth the bother. Lift your game guys you work in hospitality why not try being hospitable and clean the f#^king tables!!! No one should have to sit at a dirty table. Seriously disgusting
Danielle Sinclair
Will never step foot inside here again. Organized my own 21st and was told that underage guests could be there the whole time as long as their parents were there. Gets to the actual night and the rude and arrogant manager says they have to be out by 9:30. I was never told beforehand looks like the sleezy manager will do anything for a dollar. Very Very disappointed
HB
If you enjoy being a sardine..... Then you'll enjoy la di da. Otherwise just forget it. <br/><br/>We went and the venue was packed, so maybe they are doing something right. However it was impossible to move, the tables were small and the view of the show was poor. The promised food never did appear and we eventually gave up in disgust.
Forget_love-id_rather_fall_in_chocolate
Definitely not a gastro pub. A pint and a very small pizza cost me 28 bucks.. The pizza was lacking in substance and taste. My colleagues burger had no aioli as stated on the menu. In summary, we are not coming back for any team lunches..
Stevo
Make up your own mind!. I work down the road @ CGU and have been eating lunch at La di da with my other work mates for the last 8 months at least 3 times a week. We all love the food , speedy service and vibe. Don't listen to the negative stuff, some people just need to get a life! They must be doing something right, the place is always busy! <br/>Just went to their new Burlesque night on Friday - AWESOME. Will be going again for sure!<br/>Do yourself a favour, pop in , make your own mind up.

Great Value Great Club. Well after flicking through the reviews, I was quite shocked to see some of the negative reviews. A lot must have improved, because I commend every aspect of the night from security, to kitchen, bar staff and manager.<br/>All staff were friendly, I had a sit down dinner for 22 people, not one complaint. As a lover of a good steak, I had the sirloin steak, medium rare and it was absolutely perfect! I am not a biased reviewer, I am someone that just wanted to try something different... I wish I knew about this place earlier, because I would have been coming back and will head back for more. Loved the music and the club that it transformed into later. Great work all round guys, thank you for making my birthday a great night to remember. PS. my steak wasn't cold and I did get a steak knife with it ;o) lol

If I had to pick my no.1 horrible place in Melbourne, this would have to be it. Not so long ago my friend and myself organized her birthday. We were communicating with a female manager there via email. We organised a guests list, booked an area etc.... We get there NOTHING had been organised and they werent aware who we were, no area was kept for us and we did not get an ounce of customer service and welcome. The venue manager - a man in his 50"s was terribly rude and did not once apologized for the "misunderstanding". our friends were not let in apparently because they were intoxicated when they had just been at home or at work all day - funnily enough they all had dark skin and all got rejected at the door. An absolutely disgusting place. The manager made up excuses as to why we were treated like this. *****AVOID it like the plague***** the food is crap as well. La Di don"t!?????? Definitely!

Terrible. Went to La Di Da for a friends birthday. <br/><br/>The waitresses were terrible and not attentive to our needs at all, nor were the bar staff. <br/><br/>All 5 of us had a complaint or two about our meal - mine being that the steak was served stone cold; not to mention the garlic came our AFTER the mains.<br/><br/>Reasonable prices on food, drinks rather pricy, wouldn't go there again.

Blah. Came here for a group work lunch...it was OK. Had the vegetarian burger, the pattie was still cold inside. The boys commented favourably on the parmas. A couple of people ordered the steak which smelt great but was pretty chewy and no steak knife provided. The main reason we went was because of the prices - selected meals (steak, burger, parma) for $15 including a soft drink. It was just OK - but I wouldn't go back.

Worst Venue in Melbourne. This was without doubt the worst lunch venue I have ever attended. <br/><br/>Food: The calamari entre worked out at $2 per ring, and I'm quite sure they were purchased from the frozen food isle at Coles. The "Sirloin" burger was actually mince on a Coles bread role topped with Coles mixed leaf salad.<br/><br/>Drink: I bought a pot of Asahi for $7.50. It tasted like the beer lines hadn't been cleaned in months and the glass was definitely not clean. I took it back to the bartender and he said that it tasted fine and sent me on my way.<br/><br/>In summary, DO NOT go to this amateur, ridiculously overpriced, dirty hellhole.

Worst lunch in years. My partner and I met for lunch here as it lies half way between both of our offices. <br/><br/>The decor inside looked like a cheap backpacker bar in a ski town in America. The menu was very poor and the food worse. The 'sirloin burger' turned out to be a fancy name for a burger on a cheap bun, & the calamari looked as though it came from the local fish & chip shop, although they didn't mind charging $2.20 per piece. To top it off the beer tasted as though they had not cleaned the lines in a while.<br/><br/>In conclusion, don't bother. Melbourne has so much to offer so find somewhere else to go so you can actually enjoy yourself and your lunch/dinner/drinks.

La di duh. If you're looking to go for a lunch in the CBD you will find much better restaurants in this price range. If you still end up here avoid the parma, no effort to make this an appealing meal whatsoever.
