I am absolutely crazy about bagels and love to try them out wherever I go. However, with vegans comes the constraint of limited options. While you have two vegan options at Five Points, it’s good to see that you can make your own bagel with whatever filling you’d like. I went for El Veggicano with an Everything Bagel and drooled over every bite! The freshly baked bagel and the scrumptious filling of corn, avocado and tomato with cream cheese was super! I am also impressed by the ambience. It’s an easy to go to cafe and I’m definitely revisiting soon!
To try:
- bacon & egg deluxe (pictured), a hearty delicious but very filling breakfast
- chicken schnitzel, always a treat and hits the spot
- chicken & avocado, a basic lunch option that leaves you satisfied but not too guilty.
Overall a very cute cosy cafe with good coffee. The bagels aren't too dense or hard (like 5 & dimes) and are less chewy than Schmucks. I love the variety they have, especially the everything and onion bagel!
They also do gluten free bagels and have vegan options, definitely a cafe I frequent.
Nice latte- quite strong with a rich flavour and perfectly frothed milk. Great value for $4.20. Service was friendly and extremely quick. Can’t wait to return to try the bagels!
Finally got the chance to check this bagel joint out, and was very pleased with my order. The toasted chicken avocado on sesame bagel was the perfect amount for a light lunch. The mixture of chicken, avo and mayo had a great consistency and the toasted bagel had a delightful crunch to it. Would have given a 5 for the food, however the ordering time took way longer than expected. I waited more than 15 mins for my order, and considering that there were only 2 tables full, they didn’t seem too busy.
I’m a bagel fan and looked for a new place to try out.. Five Point bagels are simply fresh and soft. I haven’t tried others so far, just onion and I love it.. I had it a few times, just baked onion bagel.. no cream cheese, no toppings and I’d die for more. They’ve got brekkie deal, m coffee+bagel+cream cheese for $7.5. Coffee is well roasted, you don’t get nasty coffee here much in CBD anyway.
Pastrami with melted Swiss cheese, coleslaw and drizzled in homemade Russian dressing on sesame bagel.
Nutella with banana and honey on Blueberry bagel, and an iced caramel latte drink. This is the sort of breakfast I would wake up at 8.30am on my day off to get!
The bagels are fresh, toasted and crunchy- they are seriously one of the best bagels I've had! Their homemade dressing had a bit of a Chilli kick which was unexpected and delicious.
Nutella and Strawberries filling on a Blueberry bagel. Delicious fresh bagels with generous amounts of Nutella, balanced with some strawberries - my ideal dessert!
Excellent smoked salmon bagel! Just the right amount of toastiness to give crunch, without compromising the cream cheese. Would eat everyday if I could! Not the cheapest lunch, as it isn't the most filling, but great quality. Would be 5* if slightly lower price point.
I know there's opposing ideas on whether a bagel should be toasted, these guys toast the bagel and oh my, it was a fantastic bagel. Absolutely delicious. A bit softer and less dense on the inside, but crunchy and tasty on the outside. Good price and some good deals with a coffee.
I wish I could eat these every day.
Good location and friendly staff. Great selection of bagels and stand out coffee. Gluten free option available. Great spot for breakfast or lunch.
The bagel was sensational. It straddled the line between being soft, but firm enough to hold it all together perfectly. The egg and bacon melded into the bagel better than Simon and Garfunkel melded together to make music. And even though there was quite a wait for the coffee – it was worth it. There was definitely toasted almonds coming through in that brew. $11 for this coffee along with the breakfast bagel is an extremely solid deal. This is the 2nd time The Dear Luncher has indulged in this deal, but for some reason it was a hell of a lot better the second time ‘round. Five Points claim to make the best bagels and coffee in all of Melbourne, and they’re not far off with that claim in Your Dear Luncher’s opinion.
I went to five points to have a coffee with my sister at the end of the lunch hour, Five points was small and busy. It looks like they might specialise in bagels, but there wasn’t much food left, so I can only assume that from the signage. The coffee was great, I ordered strong and that is what I got, unfortunately I don’t work down this end of town, because If I did I would become a regular!

Fresh, delicious bagels! And a great variety too! I had the onion Bagel with chicken and avo - it tasted amazing! Although I'm not sure I remember my cheese I asked for being in the bagel. The customer service was very good; the interior is small but cool; and the bagels and ingredients are all very fresh and tasteful. Would highly recommend and return
This place is perfect for breakfast. The bagels and coffee are delicious, service is quick and they even have a couple of very good value specials before a certain time of day. Looking forward to my next visit.
Some of the nicest bagels I've bought in Melbourne. Had the pumpernickel and blueberry ($2.50 each). Good texture and crumb and a decent size. Neither of them had a huge amount of flavour, but would have worked well with the variety of toppings on offer.
But...the donut ball was the highlight. It was amazing! At 8am it was still lovely and fresh, and not too oily or greasy.
A decent crust, a light and fluffy inside and rolled in a generous amount of cinnamon sugar. And all for just $1!
They do bagels and coffee very well. The bagels are tasty and fresh and there is plenty of choice for fillings. The bagels aren't cheap but you get what you expect and the buzz behind the counter is extremely friendly and they all look as if they put a lot of attention to detail into any bagel they serve up. Seating is limited inside and the bagels always seem to taste better on s plate rather than takeaway. Coffee is very good and everything from hello to goodbye with the meal in the middle was delivered with smiles.
Welcome to bagel heaven. They've got a range of bagels on offer with fillings and spreads to satisfy most cravings. Coffee is pretty good as well and stacks up well against the local competition. Bagel orders do take a little while, but always worth the wait given the love and care they are prepared with.
Ordered a bacon and egg bagel and coffee to go for my lunch and am gobsmacked at the awesomeness of the food and coffee. This place is definitely on my frequent stopover list now!
Super friendly staff and a surprisingly awesome bagel. I went for the smoked salmon and cream cheese, which came with red onion and capers, on a pumpernickel bagel while my colleague went for the bacon and egg on sesame bagel. Mine was delicious and the smoked salmon was top quality. My colleague scoffed his in record time and said he would very happily go back.
Coffee was very good quality, even by Melbourne standards.
Difficult to fault this place really. If you are looking for lunch in the city and want something that is tasty, a little different from the usual sandwiches and toasties, and you like value, you won't be disappointed.
Just had a peanut butter and banana bagel on a toasted bagel which was delicious, especially with a great coffee.
The staff here are so welcoming and friendly, Highly recommended.
I tried out Five Points today for lunch as it's near my workplace & I was pleasantly surprised. I had the avocado & feta bagel and it was lovely. Nice tasting bagels & it looks like there's a nice range of bagel bread & topping options. My bagel was $8.90 - I think the pricing for bagels & toasted sandwiches in Melbourne (in general) is overpriced, but the cost here is comparable to other cafes. I will be back to try another!
Lovely smooth coffee, delicious and fresh pulled pork sliders, great vibe and atmosphere.
Long macchiato the way it should be... Flavour , flavour , flavour ... As for the bagels I had a BRAT ( bacon rocket and tomato) freshly made to order, flavoursome and the choice of bagel to have was impressive, I chose an onion toasted and was not disappointed. My partner had corned beef and pickle and was as impressed as I .. It's worth a stop to either sit in the newly established surrounds ( if time permits) but I'm sure as tasty if on the go... It will be a fav haunt when in the CBD...
