Arcadia is a bit special to us. It’s one of the first pubs we visited in Melbourne and we go back regularly for drinks, for steak night, for a bit of pool, on our way out, on our way home. It’s always there to welcome us in. They also have great meal specials throughout the week so win-win!

Arc is one of the best pubs that I have been to in Australia. Provides 3 levels of cold beers, entertainment and delicious food.
I often frequent Arc for their well priced food specials throughout the week, whether that be the Tuesday Parma Night or Wednesday Steak Night.
On Parma Night, I usually make the hard decision between the Shaka Brah or Nacho Man Parma options paired with a cold beer. Each Parma is served with a hefty portion of crinkle cut chips and a little dish of salad.
During the summer on a Saturday, the rooftop is a great place to enjoy a cold one as the day turns into the night before you venture downstairs for a bit of a boogie, game of pool or watching sport on the many projector screens.
Staff are always polite, happy and helpful while Mark (the Manager) is a class above.
Easy to access with PT and a few KMs from the CBD.
Arc will always be on the list of “where I would like to go tonight?”
Don’t ever change Arc ❤️
Great venue, great location, great spot to spend a night with friends. It has really good food, plenty of different spaces to sit in and a good, friendly vibe. I always recommend this place to friends and family,
Great Place look forward to being there in the near future. Have always loved Melbourne, have been a little hesitant in recent times but looking forward to a great meal at the Arcadia .
Really great place for some beers and good pub food. The menu has plenty of variety but my go to is the parmi, They also have a great selection of beer and the staff are always welcoming. The quiz night on Monday is not to be missed, my favourite pub in south Yarra!
Steak night on a Wednesday has $14 steaks. Comes with chips and salad and your choice of sauce. If you’re coming in a group then it would be wise to make a booking to ensure you get a table. Downstairs, upstairs, and outside are your seating options. Steak was cooked exactly as I asked, and I enjoyed me meal.
Great staff, amazing eye fillet (very thick and not chewy), beautiful house red, and quick service.
Only negative was that the cleanliness isn't great and the place smelt a bit toilety on the way in.
Great value steak night with $14 porterhouse and $17.50 eye fillet. The range of sauces is excellent (I really enjoyed the peppercorn & cognac), the chips are crispy, the salad is fresh and the portion sizes are huge. The roof top has a fun and relaxed vibe in the nice weather.
The rooftop beer garden provides a fabulous little retreat regardless whether it's winter or summer. The food is well priced for good portions and decent quality. I had the chicken Parma and a pint of Fat Yak which all up came in around $30. Friends had pasta and pizzas and all were heartily consumed with gusto. The place is massive and I'm sure it's a great venue to see live music. The staff were really friendly too.
Despite being shortstaffed our orders came to us quite quickly (10-15 minutes?) which was very impressive! The staff were friendly and even apologized to us for the wait but we barely had to wait anyway! I thought they were so nice to us. The size of the dishes were great value for money. I was surprised at the amount of spring rolls that came as an appetiser. The chicken burger was tender and juicy. The beef burger patty was super thick and unfortunately dry so that was dissapointing. The parmas were great and pizza's are decently sized at such a cheap price. I liked the rooftop ambience and the music playlist was perfect. There's even Ikea blankets!
The food here was excellent had the thai prawn salad as entree it was full of flavor and beautiful juicy prawns .The eye fillet was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth .For desert i ordered the cheese cake which topped off a great meal thanks for the special attention and professional service from Cory and josie thanks girls .
I been many times for the Parma Tuesdays and once for the t bone steak Thursdays. I like the Parmas here they have about 6 different kinds of parmas. Their all good, the blue cheese Parma was a bit much for me though. I don't know if they are better when it's not Parma Tuesday as I'm guessing they arnt banging them out constantly
The t bone steak though was not so great it came out a bit over cooked and was warm, towards the end I was eating cold steak.
Young , vibrant informal pub style environment. We value Their weeknight specials, especially for hungry stomachs when We are not dressed up for special occasions. Their after 8pm Monday night $10 meatballs, Tuesday nights big Parma $12, Wednesday nights are my favourite! 400g black argus porterhouse steak $13 and 300g eye fillet steak for $17.50. Thursday nights T bone steak for $12 with jacket potatoes, Friday Burger night for $14!
I find their steak quality inconsistent sometimes though! I like them thick and juicy. On one occasion, it was not.
(I would prefer if they have the specials from lunchtime as I try to eat sparingly for dinner to slim down!)
We like to go early to avoid the crowd and we are not drinkers. Close to Toorak train station, parking is not an issue after 5pm along the Toorak Rd on the Fawkner Park side.
It is a place for good REAL genuine steak and social gatherings, not for romantic nights as it is noisy, packed and furniture made to last not for looks. We just enjoy our meals and leave. If cheap good genuine food is your choice sometimes, also visit www.eatdrinkcheap.com.au
Steak night at Arcadia is one of the best! the mushroom sauce is AMAZING !!! Its best to order a little bit under what you normally would as sometimes they are a tad overcooked but other than that YUM!
Awesome pub food and I love the daily specials they rotate every week. Great but cheap meatballs on Monday nights (with Trivia). Porker and a great variety of massive parmas on Tuesdays. The steaks are amazing and it's steak/t-bone nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Awesome burgers on Friday nights too. The weekends are awesome too. To top that all, the customer service is amazing, whether you're upstairs in the resturant area or down at the bar or pool tables.
Came here for their chicken palmer and steak night! Cooked to perfection, huge portions and good value for money! Service was great and staff were friendly
We just hosted our son's 21st at the rooftop bar at the Arcadia. It was a very successful night and we were very happy with the friendly staff, the food was delicious and plentiful. I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of hiring it. Last drinks are at 1130pm and we were all out by 12 on the dot.
I've been going here for years and years and years, and I've never seen a pub that so consistently had great friendly staff, good relaxed atmosphere, and constantly attempting to get better and better.
Love the place, and will always stop in if I'm in the area.
Excellent for a steak night party or Parma night ! I haven't tried the trivia night and burger night but we will come back for sure . Pool table are a plus !
The steak nights are great, good food for great value. They need to work on the music a little because it can get boring but all and all its great for a mid-week night out with friends and the staff are very friendly .
This weeks parma night fell on Queens birthday, how dare she. Anyway we went off to The Arcadia Hotel in South Yarra. The set up here was cool. Rooftop Beer garden, pool tables, big screens and function rooms make up the arcadia. Trivia night was getting started when we arrived.
We ordered and proceeded to unofficially take part in trivia night. After about 10 minutes a waiter came to our table and told us that there was an error with our order and that they only made 1 parma instead of 4 resulting in a extended wait. We were given 4 glasses of coke on the house to make up for the error, so big thanks to the arcadia for that. A business that takes care of its patrons is always a good sign. Another 15 mins or so and they were out.
Ahh we spotted the separate salad bowl from a mile away. Well played Arcadia.
Size wise, the schnitzel wasn’t the biggest we have seen but they sure did have some quality thickness to them.
The breast was your pure white, real, juicy breast. Absolutely perfect.
Crumbing was also very impressive also. Had a few crunchy edges which is our favourite part
The napoli was fresh and tasty. Not caked on but made its presence on the schnitzel.
The ham was nice and tasty. Many pubs tend to use really tasteless standard ham but we assure you arcadia uses the good stuff.
The cheese was applied liberally and grilled to perfection. We think it was a mix of tasty and mozzarella, not to sure though. Was excellent to say the least.
The chips were really the only downfall of this dish. They tasted like mccain frozen crinkle cut chips fresh from the freezer. They were served quite cold also.
The salad was a mixed garden salad dressed well. Served in a separate bowl is always a bonus and much appreciated.
Excellent customer service, a simply smashing parma and some sneaky trivia led to an awesome experience at the arcadia. Did we mention they have unlimited D.I.Y aoli and sauce bottles aswell. Yes, epic (for all you condiment lovers out there).
The parma is definitely up there with the big boys. The big retro Victoria Bitter signage makes the Arcadia hard to miss so no excuses. As the Queen would say, twas a jolly good show.
8/10
Surprise 21st birthday party. I was fortunate to have been given a surprise 21st party organised by my family and best friend. The night overall was fantastic, from the moment I walked into the lounge bar function room. The staff that my mum communicated with were very organised and helpful, and all the staff including the bartender were so friendly and polite. The food served during the night was delicious, with many guests complementing the food. All the slide show presentation, music and microphone worked well when needed. Overall, the lounge bar room is a great space for a small function, with the main bar, pool table, and dance floor, only just outside the lounge.
The Arcadia is a great place for a 21st birthday or any function.
If you live anywhere near South Yarra you’ll probably know The Arcadia as “the pub with the VB sign” – visible for miles around, especially when lit up at night, the red neon “Victoria Bitter” letters on the side of the pub are definitely a sight to behold. We have had quite a few recommendations of for the Arcadia’s parma over the years but never quite managed to get around to giving it a go, however when it got an endorsement over Twitter by none other than Rob “Millsy” Mills of Australian Idol, Wicked and Grease fame (among other things), we decided it was time to check it out! Cheers again for the tweet Millsy! I’m searching for a word to describe the decor of the Arcadia, and the best I can come up with is “Eclectic”. Once you arrive it feels as if you take more than three steps in any
Had my 21st birthday here, and the running of the function couldn't have gone any smoother! Great organisation, although you have to keep nagging them to get things done. Drinks are cheap and food is great, highly recommended
Good Pub Grub. While the interior (mainly the downstairs section) leaves a lot to be desired, the food has so far proven to be a success. Being locals to the area we decided to finally check it out. I ordered the Black Angus Beef & Guinness Pie. As it is just served with a small, simple salad I was hoping I'd get my money's worth in the pie. And I did. Served in a large oval shaped bowl with a layer of puff pastry, it was quite a sizeable meal (and I can eat a lot). The meat inside was rich and full of flavour, and was complimented nicely with a glass of red. My partner ordered the T-bone steak 12 Special. It was cooked just as requested (medium rare) and served with a baked potato and sour cream. Great food for winter - will be back.
Fantastic service. I went to the bathroom and my beer was removed by mistake, and quick in flash it was replaced with many an apology.
We eat a porterhouse steak (400g) for 14$ each. So good ! They have a rooftop for enjoy the summer ! Good place
All under one roof, good food plus live band, steak is excellent
Best Burger in town!. Its a big call i know but wait til you try their burger and chips.
I dont expect alot when I go to pubs for dinner but Arcadia has real quality in their food.
Arcadia is our local and everytime we dine here the food always exceeds my expectations. I love their chips, burgers and main meal varieties.
Just had an exceptional eye fillet steak cooked exactly as requested, delicious side of seasonal vegetables. Very reasonable price for good quality fresh food, I'll be back!

Cheap solid pub grub. If you want a good, cheap midweek meal, you can't really pass up the tuesday parma (12) or the wednesday steak (12). on their own, the parma and steak are great, but the salad that they come with sucks (just lacks love) and the chips need to be fried not the oven type that they've become fond of using.
Also, beer here costs a bomb, so for a pint (VB, Draught) and a $12 meal, you're looking at over $20.
if you want a solid midweek gutplugger though, the arc will do ya well.
Arcadia is on the corner of Punt and Toorak, well established local pub, great food and cheap. Take away bottle shop is a bit expensive. Friendly service, great pub
Delicious food and amazing service. They were able to help me with gluten-free/dairy-free options and cater to dietary requirements too. Very friendly staff and were very attentive to customers. Would def come back!
The last couple of visit have been good. Especially the the steak night which is very popular with locals. A good range of beers on tap, however no Coopers. The wine is good along with discounted cocktails on certain nights. The staff are friendly and aim to please. We will keep going there.
I’ve been there few times specially on Wednesday’s night which they serve beautiful stakes in half prices. You will enjoy each bite of your food. It’s been crowded when there is a Rugby 🏉 or footy match. Amazing customer service will make you feel more comfortable to return to this hotel.
Thanks 😊
Wednesday Steak Night, 9/10 perfectly cooked, medium-rare 300 gms Porterhouse, very good sauce, and nice salad for $18.00, even with overcooked chips.
Plenty of wines, $12.00 Blue Pyrenees Cabernet Sauvignon was okay.
Pick where you want to sit ... spacious rooftop, even in Winter, undercover and plenty of heaters or open fireplace downstairs.
We had a function upstairs and the service was incredible with great food. Mark looked after us and went above and beyond with everything we needed. Great venue for up to around 100 people give or take. You can kick on downstairs afterwards if you like. Highly recommended.!
Amazing food! We came in when there was a band practising so a bit noisy.
Food came out quick. Probably best to book as it can get busy!
