Greek Street Food is a must! Such great quality food and a wide variety suitable for the whole family. Great portioning and delicious flavours. I loved the fries with feta! We will be back again! :)
I've eaten a lot of souvlaki in my life and really rate the ones from here. The pita is always fresh, the grilled meat is fantastic and they never skimp on the fillings.
The cluck (chicken) is my favourite, would definitely recommend.
Love the souvas from here - the oink is my favourite. Can't go past their feta chips too yum
Incredible feed! Authentic flavours and not greasy like a lot of other Greek restaurants I've been to! My go to is the Karra Pack whixh has 2x souvlaki skewers, pita dip and chips/salad! Love it
The souvas here always bring a smile to my face! All takeaway now but so delicious! Personally I love the chicken and add some extra tomato and hummus. Great prices and lovely team!
Had the pleasure of visiting Greek Street Food in Thornbury last week and loved their shop outfit! Staff were friendly and service was reasonably quick.
We ordered two souvlaki (one chicken, one lamb) and the feta fries to share. The souvlaki came with fries inside with tzatziki, tomato and red onion.. but no lettuce. They also had minimal meat in them. Having said that though, the pita bread was lovely and fluffy and the meat that was there tasted delicious - just needed to have a bit more of it.
The feta fries were perfectly cooked, but needed to come with cutlery as when eaten by hand, the feta fell off and made it tricky to eat. It was a very generous serve though - 2 souvs and 1 serve of fries was very filling.
Hopefully you'll be able to visit them once 2020 has gotten its act together or they continue to deliver on UberEATS during this difficult time, because their food is very tasty!
If you have a look at their Insta, their "PAX" look delicious - that's what I'll be ordering next time!
Thanks for having us, team :)
Stopped by on the weekend to try something different and we quite enjoyed it! We got the oink and the cluck to share and both were super filling and really fresh, quality ingredients. The oregano & feta chips was the cherry on the cake!
Really enjoyed the souvies here at Greek street food. The chips with feta were cooked to perfection. The marinade on the meet was really good with the tzatziki! Can't wait to come back!
I love visiting Greek Street Food when I'm in the mood for some yummy Souvas and Feta Fries! The food always tastes so fresh and their homemade tzatziki is delicious, I always ask for extra on the side to dip my fries and Souva in! They also have some salads on the menu if you're craving something lighter.
I love Greek Street Food!! The souvas here are amazing! Nice healthy salads, quality feta chips and their homeade tzatziki sauce is one of the best I have had. Not only my favourite souvas in Thornbury, but they also have a food truck which makes getting the souva fix ultra convenient.
The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and the prices are cheap. My friend and I ordered The Legend to share plus a few additional skewers and two soft drinks and the total bill was only $42 which is very good value for money.
One of the best places for Greek cuisine in Melbourne! The dishes are quite simple but authentic and tasty. Especially the Lamb Souva and Feta Chips are my favorite! The Feta and chips combo is amazing! We will come back here to try some more options from their menu.
Love the concept and vibe. New age greek food, simple classics but updated and fresh. The meat is cooked over charcoal which is the key to proper gyros!
A big part of this 4 star rating is because of the generosity of the feta on the chips and in the salad - gone are the days of it being acceptable getting one crumb of feta on your chips, this place is generous!
Pork souvlaki is my favourite and the tzatziki is yum.
So glad we tried this place , staff friendly, ambience great and trendy , pita bread fresh , dips good, chips wow, Souvs yum. Solid 4.5/5 and would definitely recommend. I found it very affordable too!
We came here seeking an authentic and cheap Greek food alternative. My partner and I both had a SOuva each and split a serve of the Oregano and Feta chips. In my opinion, chips should no longer be served without being topped with Feta, they had a generous serve of chips with an even more generous serving of chips! The Souvas were fantastic and it was enough for us to eat and feel like we would never have to eat again! Coming here next time I'm even remotely hungry!
WOW! Very impressed with the souvas and falafel from Greek Street Food. Went to the permanent store in Thornbury but they also have a food truck that pops up at various events around Melbourne.
The staff cook the meat stix fresh on the grill in front of you and it's top quality meat. The chicken is the best, always so tender and juicy. We also saw some of the off-menu specials on Instagram and tried the vegetarian "Souva Pizza", which was just a LOT of ingredients piled onto three large pitas. It wa delicious and the best sharing dish!
Will definitely be back, this place is worth a visit!
I met the family w my partner tonight at this place. The service was friendly and helpful.
We ordered a number of dishes including souvlakia’s such as the cluck, the oink and a bahh.
The souvas were delicious really good. I had the lamb and half a pork one and they were really tasty.
We ordered chips w feta and plain chips. The chips were ok but they were barely warm when we got them.
Also ordered were some Karra’s which are deconstructed Souva’s w skewers such as lamb or chicken.
Overall it was a really solid meal in a casual setting. This place is definitely worth a visit if you want some good Greek food.

Pretty good street greek considering of its location. I would always get excited to see their truck at the local food truck spot but glad they've opened a store so I could thoroughly enjoy their food in a spacious environment. The meats were cook perfectly. However, they weren't hot enough when it hit the table which was unfortunate. Salad was nice and fresh. Chippies were super crispy.
You can be mistaken from thinking its not much from the outside but the decor is really nice. They have a smallish menu but are open to changing things up and making things to how you like. Souvas are great and the feta fries are great. The whole team was very happy.
Definetly one of the top places to visit for greek street food! The flavour is simply magical and it just melts in your mouth. Definitely a top place to visit and I'll definetly be back.
One place I love eating a lamb souvlaki and it never disappoints. George and his staff always friendly and happy to help. You can see they love what they do and always greeted with a friendly smile. If you want quality food this the place to try. Lots of souvlaki places in the area but the quality isn’t there.
Pretty impressed with the Kara tonight from Greek Street Food.
Big serving with chips, 2 sticks with meat (I had one lamb and one pork), eggplant dip and 4 pieces of thick pita bread.
Friendly service and very tasty !!
Trendy clean place to enjoy Greek food. Ordered there souvas chicken and lamb they were absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly, and that is great if you have an hour for lunch. They have a large array of soft drinks. Also reasonably priced. Awesome place for delicious and tasty souvas. 👌
The food here is great! Pita bread is soft and delicious, eggplant dip is homemade... just all round great food. Chips with feta is also a win.
I first had GSF from their truck and didn't even know they had a store until I was driving down high street and saw their shop. Although I had already eaten lunch, I stopped the car and got a souva takeaway, literally the best souva in Melbourne!
Been here a few times now the food and service is sensational. Love the low key and unpretentious atmosphere, very welcoming and unrushed. I would love to see an expanded menu offering sweets and coffee, but happy as it is.
I got some chips and a lamb souva from here at the dog thingy in Werribee. The chips were delicious with the oregano but they could've been a little hotter for me but they were a great temperature for the little girl I was sharing them with.
One of the dogs I was with was being very naughty (I think he was actually stressed, poor doggy) so I didn't get to eat my souva until I was walking back to the car in a foul mood. It was cold but delicious and I really enjoyed the tzatziki sauce. The lamb was a lamb fillet rather than the slow cooked lamb but it was still good. The souva improved my mood a bit.
I'm never taking that dog anywhere!!! Hahahaha
Absolutely devine souvas. Me and my younger brother both ordered "the Karra" and we were not left disappointed or hungry. Point one, the skewers were to die for! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the seasoning was at the perfect level, enhancing the meat rather than overpowering it. I am a big fan of eggplant dip, and i must say the one at Greek street food is another level.
Me and my brother both decided upon the chips, I mean who wouldn't! Again i was knocked out of the park. The oregano, feta and chip ratio was generous and delightful.
Overall the experience was wonderful. On a street overflowing with delicious places to eat Greek Street Food is another perfect addition and a must visit for those who come past Thornbury
Although I am the burger man, pre burgers I used to love smashing a souva and every now and then I need something a little different. Greek Street Food is up with one of the best souva's I have had. All of the ingredients work really well together, soft tender meat, house made tzatziki, fresh salads. You won't be disappointed if you come here!
Every element from the meat to the dip is perfectly done. Its delicious, affordable, unpretentious food. Added to that the staff are very friendly and welcoming. In my opinion Greek Street Food is the best value for money on High Street.
Friendly staff, nice and casual setting.
Nice pita bread, soft and fluffy. Like the wrap, normally I can get quite messy eating it, but I think this wrap was prepared at the right size, easy to bite.
Unless u choose lamb skewer, otherwise no point getting the set, I just realised work out the same price if you order pork skewer, chips and bread separately.
Tried the sample choc at the counter, taste good and very crunchy hazelnut, if they have dark choc rather than milk choc, I will definitely get one.
Great tasting food, I had the lamb souva and my partner had the veggie. Best tasting falafel I've had. You can't go wrong with the chips either! I could eat from here every night of the week.
Genuine , fresh greek food with plenty of healthy options. We tried most of the menu and everything was delicious. The chips with feta are some of the best in Melbourne!Nice casual staff and atmosphere. Very good experience.
Reasonably priced Greek. Mostly caters for take-away, but you can dine-in (good atmosphere & easily seated 5 of us).
I had the Kara with two sticks (one lamb and one chicken), Greek salad, bread and eggplant dip. Most enjoyed the meat and bread.
Good Greek at a good price.
Get the chips with feta cheese, these are amazing!
The souvlaki is good but felt a little empty I hope they start to fill them up a little more! Cos I'll be back for those chips!
Been craving a souvlaki for a while. Was not disappointed. Had 'The Cluck' with Oregano and Feta chips. I really enjoyed the souvlaki, my only complaint with it is more garlic would have been nice. I was a bit disappointed that there weren't regular soft drinks for purchase (e.g coke, solo etc).
Great atmosphere, perfect for grabbing a quick bite. Staff were pleasant. Like any venue on High St, parking close by is hard to get.
I just came into your high street street store and ordered what was a great lamb souva. Thanks George, just remember to keep those staff trained well and the bottles off the benchtop 😉
Great food that's really big on flavour, authentic and not too complicated. Lovely service and prices are pretty reasonable too. Loved the chips with feta, amazing! Highly recommend.
Delicious food and awesome service.
We made a takeaway order during lockdown and the food was presented well and tasted amazing, most importantly. I appreciated that they didn’t start making the saganaki until I arrived so it was fresh. The tzaziki was super good as well. Can’t wait to dine in soon.
Amazing food! We love it here and visit it regularly. The only minus point is they don’t have ketchup 😅
We will definitely be back, but next time - we're bringing friends. The food is so fresh and the serving sizes are generous.
Lovely food. Went there with my wife and we enjoyed the food. Prices are reasonable and ambiance was great 👍. Sure will be back
The souvlaki here is excellent. Slightly small but very tasty. If I only ordered that then this would be a 5 star review, however the chips was a bit dry and chalky. When I asked if they got tomato sauce, they said no and didn’t give me any alternatives. Wish they would be abit more proactive with their service, but otherwise all good.
Not bad but not the best.
The wraps tasted good, but the fries tasted not fresh.
Also it's called street food, but the prices are not that cheap compared to the amount of food.
Great food and chips and order from Carwyn Cellars while enjoying the delicious beers
Dropped in for a quick bite from work for lunch with the wife. Great hospitality from owner through to the wait staff and flavour on flavour with the souvas! Delicious!
