Ordered from here via Uber eats & it was inedible.
Ordered a Nonya Chicken Curry and Beef Rendang - both were an oily mess. I understand that curry can split however, these were congealed. Honestly, the worst malaysian food I’ve eaten in Melbourne.
The only way I could connect it to being MaIaysi
Babi Assam is the best there. Ayam Buah kelak is just the paste not actual buah kelak in a stew. Fried rice and nasi Lemak were good too. Esp the sambal. Roti with the chickpea curry also decent and not too spicy.
Bababoi sells delicious inexpensive Malaysian meals with big portions, and the only bummer being that everything is quite greasy and laden with oil.
Service could be a bit laidback but no complaints and ambiance is quite okayish.
Instead of expecting high-end restaurant serving over the top meals..
Had an absolutely amazing dinner here !

Authentic peranakan food here! The fantastic taste really hits home, especially the buah keluak and roti canai! The portions were huge, and reasonably priced as well
The service was super great and friendly :) will definitely come again whenever we need our peranakan food fix!
First impression was good. The menu looks appetizing and atmosphere was relaxing. Approached by a friendly staff and ordered chicken Kapitan. I've decided to sit inside next to the kitchen, it was a mistake.
Waited for over 20 minutes for my food, but the worst part was the constant verbal abuse of
I tried this place via one of the EatClub mobile app flash deals. The ambience, staff service, and menu composition were great. However, I found the actual foods to be a bit too oily and did not live up to my expectation.
Generous portion, good value and attentive service. Cozy restaurant with outdoor seating that overlooks the Yarra river. The beef rendang roll for $9.80 is really good value for money - generous serving of tender, tasty beef rendang wrapped in 2x roti canai. The acar pancake is ruined by the peanuts
