Brought the Groupon voucher to try out this place. The service was great, attentive staff and the wings was fantastic! You get 10 wings with a salad on the side plus a beer or a soft drink. A good variety of different types of spices to choose from for the wings. Will come back for sure, great place if your are craving for tasty chicken wings! Yum
Omg the kapow chicken! That was so good. I’ve always loved WOG but never rated on Zomato until my visit on 28th of October. Guy serving us was extremely polite and it made all the difference. Well done!
Wings of Glory served chicken wings (the small kind, not the ‘Belles’ kind!) in various some-traditional-some-unique flavours. The chips were so delicious; thinly sliced potatoes you could season yourself with the provided seasonings. Service was quick, staff were friendly. Highly recommend.
Surprisingly good!! Not usually a fan of wings, but this place made me re-think why. The chicken was freshly cooked and cooked well. Nicely coated with good flavouring on the outside, the meat was tender and juicy on the inside. The sides were well done and the additional vegetable sticks on the side was a cute add on to give you the impression that the meal was healthy. The beer on tap was actually really tolerable (and enjoyable) for a take out joint. Nice work guys.
Sooo good! Have been here a number of times and just can't get enough! With so many different flavours salt for the fries you can have a different flavour on every visit. Super saucy wings and their chicken cooked to perfection.
I love chicken wings and this is the place to get your hands dirty. They have a lot of different spices and marinade flavours and you can choose to get mix packs with them all. Really flavoursome and the chicken is pretty juicy.
Really love the fries here too. And you can add your own extra salt from a choice of flavours.
This is a great alternative spot for "Western-style" mock meat when you don't want LOTF. The vegeterian/vegan wings are certainly not wings, having no bones and being quite rounder than traditional wings. They're more like fried chicken poppers made of seitan. They taste good though. The price is a bit steep (nearly $14 for 6 "wings" plus a side and dip). It's filling for sure, but not quality enough to make me want to pay that price. Good thing I went with an EatClub voucher. If this place was open later to tap the drunk, post-night out crowd, I'm sure they'd make a fortune. Although the cost of cleaning barbecue sauce off the walls might not be worth it..
Wings Yo! If love wings you'll love here. Just a small shop, but with 9 flavours to choose from its great. The boneless bbq are actually our favourite wings and having the option of 50pcs is great for sharing with groups.
Yes, yes and more yes to these delicious chicken wings! Absolutely love the variety offered on the menu and the bite sized chicken pieces were bursts of deliciousness. Can’t wait to head back for another feast!
Loved the combos n service, of course the food was delicious as well!
I had lemon n pepper, bbq wings with ranch n chips... loved it!
Chips were too thin though... would be great to see sweet potato chips as well.
The vegan wings are ace!! The lemon flavour and BBQ sauce is top notch. I admit the texture isn't anything to write home about but the flavour!! Oh. My. Glob.
Things to note that don't give it a full 5 are the wait times. There is no real sense of urgency here and the guy on till sipping his Slurpee while serving was a turn off
Absolutely love the boneless wings here,$1 dollar Wednesday is starting to become a habit! Personal favourite would be the BBQ and Cajun with blue cheese dip!
I had their 4 wings and a side for $10.90 for lunch. Wings were good, tasty sauce, good amount of spice. Got two wings and two drumettes.
The thinly cut chips were cut to perfection but they needed more seasoning. They were surprisingly on the bland side when presentation was top notch. Blue cheese sauce was creamy and flavourful.
If you want wings and you're in South Melbourne, this is a good option.
Really liked the BBQ vegan wings and chips. Would like to see more vegan dipping sauces and coatings. Service was good however for vegan things we had to wait about half an hour which sucked. Also would love if the coating on the wings were crispy and we could just dip it into the sauce instead of it being coated.
Pretty good except for the days they have $1 wings because it understandably gets busy and quality usually drops. I recommend the buffalo boneless chicken and the mango with ranch sauce. Also fried pickles are delicious.
Very nice food. Esp the hand cut chips! Definitely will come again to try out their other options of wings and dip. A deduct of 0.5 is the waiting time, it takes a while for our food to be served on a Monday night where there weren't many customers in the shop. However, I believe all the food are freshly made and that worths the time.

Came here for lunch with a friend on a weekday. In our infinite wisdom we decided to get a 30 wing plate between ourselves! We struggled through most of it! The flavors were great and the dipping sauces contrasted nicely.
Wings of glory specialise in finger lickin’ chicken wings. They have standard or boneless in a variety of flavours. Add chips, salad and beer to the mix and you’ve got yourself a new favourite chicken place. Sometimes you just have to wing it. And why wouldn’t you when the wings are this good.
Came here with a girlfriend to have dinner, we were surprised that it was not busy when we arrived. We ordered the 30 piece chicken wings dinner with sides. (Did not finish the whole platter)
We had Three awesome flavours, honey, medium and lemon pepper. My favourite one was medium, it had a spicy kick at the end of every bite.
Would visit again soon
I give it 4 wings out of 5! 🍗 🍗🍗🍗
It’s fair to say the Melbourne has something of a love affair with American food, be it burgers, tex mex or traditional southern BBQ. Inspired by a trip to the States, Steven Lo and Jennifer Vo decided it was time to add great quality American buffalo wings to that list and from this Wings of Glory was born. Located on busy Clarendon Street in South Melbourne, this relaxed eatery focuses on two things – wings and beer. Offering original wings, boneless wings and chicken wraps in a variety of seasons and marinades, plus a few delicious dipping sauces on the side.
DO: The fried chicken duh. Favourites were the lemon and mildly spicy flavours.
DON'T: Forget the chips. They're handcut and shaped like crisps. Extra seasoning available to the right of the counter.
TIP: Groupon voucher for $50 was worth it to feed 4 people.
There’s nothing quite like sitting down to a dinner of buffalo wings and beer, and the team at Wings of Glory certainly agree. With a simple menu that allows you to design the type and flavour of your wings, there’s an option for everyone. The boneless chicken definitely caught my attention – there are definitely some days where convenience is best, and there’s even something for any vegetarians out there.

Undertaking a career change from IT, Wings of Glory was opened last year by Steven Lo after a trip to the US, when he found his beloved combination of Buffalo wings and beer was nowhere to be found in Melbourne. Design your own combination by picking a flavour, dip and side at the front counter. There are vegan wings made from seitan, and gluten-free options as well. Chip seasonings sit by the drinks station for you to apply as liberally (or sparingly) as you please. Pull up a stool on the AstroTurf, and enjoy your chicken with a local craft beer, or maybe an American one.
We love wings, and we also love boneless wings. Wings of glory was great! The food was pretty good! The sauces were amazing, especially the BBQ 🍗 Which we had on the boneless. There is a fairly large variety of drinks and a pretty big selection of wings and sauces 🍖🍖🍗 Overall we had a great time and will come back soon 😊
Glorious wings ...... and Drummettes
too
This place is one of those anytime of the day kinda place ....... Youthful, quick pace, minimalistically furnished, vibrant, simple Menu, easy to enjoy, a little bit noisy with the volume of their music, that's probably why the guy did not hear and missed my order, but all good and chill.
KFC representation at its best, modern fusion everyday Korean Fried Chicken joint; multiple flavoured drummettes and wings, seasoned thin chips, salads, beers and soft drinks.
We've tried four flavour tonight and there are more on the Menu, so gotta be back for some more of those addictive wings & drummettes.
Just watch out, I think this place is too easy to enjoy and you can stop by at anytime of the day.
Great chicken wings! I like it when they go bold and take risks in creating wonderful taste. The hot sauce was spicy, actually the medium one was also spicy. Though it was mixed with sour taste which is not my favourite. The lemon sauce was great and felt perfect to be mixed with the spicy wings. The price of those wings was not cheap though but you can always come and visit on Wednesday for one dollar wing.
Do you like chicken? Specifically, the appendages of chicken made famous by the Buffalo region of New York? Then look no further than Wings of Glory, on Clarendon Street in South Melbourne. Your Dear Luncher caught a tram from the CBD and it only took 9 minutes to get there. The Number 12 tram that goes down Collins Street will transport you there with ease.
Have passed this place a few times but never got a chance to eat here. Bought a voucher from Groupon lately and eat in on a Sunday with nice weather. Ordered the buffalo Wings as i usually prefer hot ones. The wings are pretty tasty and cooked well. There is a thin layer of crispy shell Under the sauce. I ordered the ones with bones but they do have no bones wings for you to choose. It is also good that you can order salad To go with the wings which is a healthy choice. The dipping is also very nice, ordered the honey mustard sauce and really liked it :) will revisit again.
All American 'hot' wings & beer joint. Wings of glory is all about hot chicken wings, drumsticks & beer. All sauces including the honey is spicy (the lemon pepper has the least spice). We had the 15 piece with 2 sauce options, hot & honey as well as large fries & a beer bucket. It was busy, serve was great & quick. This place is fun & caters for groups of 4-6 per table. On Friday & Saturday nights the music is pumping & people are keen to get their photo on the wall when they complete the 'fury challenge', I was sweating while watching them eat through 12 super hot wings in 4mins. As its a 'new' concept in South Melbourne, the staff provide taste tests of the sauces so you can decide on thr which level of hotness you can handle.
I really like their boneless wings. The flavours are good and the service is often friendly and fast. I have had a few subpar batches - but mostly all good. I find it a bit pricy for what it is so I only go on Wednesdays when they have a deal on.
We had the boneless wings with chips. The kids loved it and kept asking for more. A very helpful staff with big smile helped me pick the kids friendly food for two hungry toddlers. Chips was very crispy and crunchy. The place was also very clean and tidy.
Not to mention the kids finished the meal in the fastest record time.
Reasonably new to the scene of South Melbourne eating, Wings of Glory takes residence off Clarendon Street and conveniently near the office. I’ve been a few times across lunch and dinner and tried a chunk of the menu permutations. Most of the time its a wings and sides combo with customisation from what flavouring on the wings. sides, the seasonings on the chips and whether your meat has bones or not. So many choices.
My favorite place to get wings. Even their boneless variation is good as they only use chicken thighs, so it's always tender and juicy.
Flavors are awesome and you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. The hot ones are actually spicy so that's a big plus!
Also, I think they have one of the best chips I've ever had! Thinly sliced, battered and deep fried - these chips will blow your mind. They also have a selection of seasoning powders which you can help yourself to.
Great place to get crispy juicy chicken with some beer.
Cassidy – we went to Wings of Glory on the weekend with a couple of mates. We ordered a serve of chips, a platter of 50 pieces which came with the flavours: mild, Cajun, lemon pepper, honey & medium, and Sneakers and one of our guests tried the Fury Challenge.
The chips were super crunchy, nice taste, but they don’t hold their heat for very long. The wings were a good size and my favourite flavour was probably the lemon pepper. Sauce-wise there was blue cheese which I was not a fan of, and ranch which was awesome.
The challenge was very entertaining to watch and overall had a great night. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Tip to anyone thinking of doing the challenge – get some milk from Coles next door in advance to have afterwards.
Sneakers – as mentioned above I tried the fury wings challenge. My strategy was to go in with an empty stomach so I only tried a couple of their delicious chips prior to the fury wings. The fury wings are no joke. I’m not one for super-hot food but I’ve seen so many episodes of Man vs Food etc. I couldn’t help but give it a go. Don’t let the photos on the restaurant wall lull you into a false sense of security as it’s not compulsory for challenge losers to have their photo put on the wall. As soon as I saw the chef wearing his commercial grade respirator whilst prepping the wings I knew I was in trouble. I’m not going to lie – I failed. I managed to eat five full wings before giving up. It was at the point where my tongue was burning but it was impossible to tell whether it was due to spice or temperature, and I wasn’t going to risk spice burns on top of temperature burns. I definitely would not attempt this without a high-fat milkshake or ice cream nearby. As for the other wings, lemon pepper was a particular favourite of mine, along with the medium. The store is small so a large queue can sometimes be expected but the food and service is amazing so it’s well worth the wait.

This place is awesome, you can get the vegetarian wings here and they can make them vegan for you 😁 theyre surprisingly tender and juicy, love coming here when im in the area. Very friendly staff too!
Great place to just drop in. Much cheaper and tastier than Nando's over the road. Fast service. Great spicy food. Need to have the Fury option on regular menu.
Great place! Cant go wrong with the price! great for a quick snack or have friends around and need a quick dinner. Delicious, and very convenient
The Wings of Glory is in South Melbourne just outside a tram stop and in a shopping mall. They are famous for their chicken wings done with many different types of sauces. I first heard about this place through Gastrology who was invited there. This was a zomato event and we got the chance to meet the owner and Zomato staff. Here they were really friendly to everyone. And cool and calm is another way to describe them. For this event I tried their legendary blue cheese sauce. With that I got twelve wings and a lift for $12 which filled me up until the end. I had chips last night and I wasn't have it again. And the chips were expensive at 4.50 a pop.
America style buffalo wings - what more can you want?! Being big eaters the portion size seemed small as we only ordered 6 wings each. Next visit we'll definitely have to order 30 (15 each). We got the blue cheese & honey mustard sauce. They tasted amazing, the consistency was thin which we liked because it just coats the chicken nicely.
1 negative was the salad, it was underwhelming.
Very delicious, every bite I took was better than the last. Staff was really friendly and came round to give us a lucky dip! I won an Icecream dog for next time! For $12, I got 10 wings, a dip and a beer! What a bargain! Wish I had some carrot sticks for the blue cheese dips. That would have been perfect!
Wow! Was recommended this place by some work colleagues. I wasn't expecting much as everywhere seems to try and specialise in USA fried-food variants these days. However, I was very much pleasantly surprised. They deliver and more. wings probably could have been slightly more crispy, but the chicken was juicy and succulent, and the flavours spot on. I definitely recommend the excellent crispy chips to accompany your meal. Prices very reasonable too. A great spot for a team lunch!
Opening Hours: MON-THU (11 AM - 9 PM), FRI (11 AM - 9: 30 PM), SAT (12 PM - 9: 30 PM), SUN (12 PM - 9 PM). Staff: Friendly. Price: AUS$3-88. Crushing On: Honey Boneless Wings. Crush Level: Food (3.5/5), Service (3.5/5), Ambiance (3.5/5). Date of Visit: 25/02/2016. A small restaurant specialising in traditional American buffalo style chicken wings, Wings of Glory has slowly earned its name among South Melbournians. The newly opened establishment offers cozy and relaxing indoor interior with a self-service concept. Customers can also savour the toothsome chicken wings while enjoying some fresh breeze outside.
Hands down the best wings I have ever tried and the chips are soo crispy! Thank you for bringing such great food to Melbourne. I know that you will see me here regularly!
Walked past the restaurant and decided to give it a try. Bought 4 pcs buffalo wings with ranch dressing and salad. Pleasantly surprised and got me wanting more. Will be back to try the other menu.
I loooove this place! It's not often I want to keep going back to the same place over and over.. but I could eat Wings of Glory day after day. Love the blue cheese sauce and the different take on chips - nice to have something different from the norm! I think you should have some kind of loyalty card ;)
Try walking past this store without the smell of the hot sauce drawing you in. Each time I eat here I up the intensity of the sauce I choose and might just be ready for the Fury Wings Challenge. The boneless option is my favourite and makes for a great snack to go. But the place has such a great atmosphere and the location on Clarendon Street is so perfect to sit and have a meal and a Glorious Beer (which they have on tap!) with a table of friends that I almost always find myself eating there. I'm very glad that this place has opened up so close to my home and I'm glad to become a regular here!
These are by far the best wings I've had since my arrival to the Southern Hemisphere a year and a half ago. So technically I could rate them a '5.' However, I fancy myself as somewhat of an aficionado when it comes to deep fried poultry limbs. So I am comparing these Melbournian wings to those I would get back home. I wish these wings were fried longer (assuming they were fried) so the outer texture had a bit more crispness. The ranch and blue cheese dips were great. I also really liked their take on 'chips.' Potatoes cut into disc shapes fairly thin and fried up. I also really liked the seasoning salts available. My fav wing was the mild hot. We tried four flavors and the lemon pepper was also very yummy. Wednesday night is advertized as $1 wing night so we will definitely be back!!!
Newly opened American chicken wing restaurant at a prominent South Melbourne location. Loved their bright colour logo and modern interior design. Friendly staff, Interesting chicken wing menu, and delicious buffalo and lemon and pepper wings. However, I found the chips little tough and wings portion little small. Overall, good concept and will be back on Wed to try their $1 wings!
Not a bad little pop up store.
Had both the Fried Chicken with Bones and without, and I prefer the boneless.
Had the top spicy flavour which was unique but very tasty.
I enjoy the chips and carrots on the side, not so much the celery.
Staff are always very friendly and its not usually that busy.
During my first visit, the lady owner was really helpful and friendly. She explained how it all works. We settled for the combo meal with chips and veges. I love the blue cheese dip. We came back the 2nd time for the boneless chicken with hot sauce. It was really good.
It was a different kind of hot (it has a little vinegar taste) but it was really delicious. We always feel really welcome here.
Really great for snacks and a healthier option to kfc.
This is a nice place because it is small and quiet so it is easy to bring people together and have a chat with without interuptions. The staff are friendly and the food is also nice!

Visiting the same place twice in a week pretty much explains my latest crush on this amazing joint! Small yet stylish, limited food but par excellence and cherry on the cake is the glorious beer they serve on tap (i'd say the name is pretty justified!)
Each time we've ordered for a 10 pc. plate of boneless wings with medium sauces along with their chips and oh have they flattered our taste buds or what! As if their secret mind blowing sauces on the wings were not enough, there's a choice of four different seasonings for your chips. A must must try for any chicken fan.
And am coming back to you pretty soon! ;)
The staff members here are very friendly and lovely. The environment is modern and welcoming. Great atmosphere! Got the boneless wings and they were delicious and succulent. It was cooked very well. The ranch sauce was to die for and the chips were very crispy.
Recommend this place to all chicken lovers and would defs come back in the future :)
This hit the spot! 10 wings (Some like it HOT!) with Nacho cheese sprinkled chips, Blue cheese dip and raw carrots/celery. Salivating as I type this. Reminded me of buffalo wings. Demolished this at home after a big game! Will be back!
At Wings of Glory, eating chicken is a serious ritual. The American style Chicken Buffalo Wings focused menu is impressive - ranging from The Original Glory wings, boneless wings, and chicken wraps smothered with your own choice of deliciousness buffalo (or not!) sauce to vegetarian and gluten-free options.
YUM YUM YUM YUM!!!
As a Canadian who moved to Melbourne several years ago there's one thing from home I've been missing the most - wing night!!! It's something so simple but when done right, it's an absolute delight - and Wings of Glory does it SO right!!!
We purchased a platter between three of us and it was incredible value for what we received! Plenty of classic sauce and side options and a gluten free selection for those sensitive tummies out there!
The wings - were PERFECT!!!!!!!
I would highly recommend Wings of Glory to anyone - especially to those North Americans who are missing their favourite weekly tradition! Cheers!!
This place popped up on a friends news feed in facebook and it caught my eye. I went the very next day, and was not disappointed. I've been on the hunt for a good wing place in Melbourne for some time. Hard to pick my favorite flavour, probably a 3 horse race with the Lemon Pepper, Honey and Hot. The chips were amazing as well, different to anything I've had before, and I love the fact you can season them with whatever floats your boat (I had a mixture of BBQ, sour cream and chives and Lemon seasoning). It's not the biggest place, so you might struggle with 6 or more, and the menu is fairly limited if you don't like chicken wings. But for what I was after, it was perfect. Went with a group of 3, and ordered 50 wings, some dip, vege sticks and chips and it was just the right amount. Did I mention beer too? I'll definitely be back.
The wings here are a must try and also very friendly staff! Been here so many times already but my favourite would have to be the original wings with mild sauce! Absolutely delicious! Keep up the great work guys
Great to see a place focus on only one thing. Wings. I've already been here many times since it's close to home. When you walk past you get a whiff of the sauce and chicken and can't help looking inside.
My personal favourite is the boneless wings with bees knees honey sauce. Your hands get messy and sticky but it's well worth it. Nancy had the lemon pepper boneless wings and I have to say they were quite impressive too. The ranch sauce for me is a winner and the addition of carrot/celery sticks remind me of my time in the US and Canada.
Ooonnn the wings of love…….. !! Ok bad theme tune but we were all whistling it when we were there!! And they are wings of love…… and glory!! Our new chicken spot has opened on Clarendon Street and we were straight there with a few friends to order up a platter of spicy, finger licking fun! It’s chicken and beer, astro turf floor, cute fit out, friendly service and by the time our order arrived there wasn’t a free seat left.
Love the fit out and decor , it has a welcoming vibe and the service was great. This is definitely more of a lunch venue or drink & snack stop off. The menu can be a little hard to navigate but the wings were tasty , not as crispy as I hoped but well cooked. I chose original wings on the bone and asked for them hot. They definitely needed a lot more of the hot sauce & not sure I would pay extra for more sauce when you are charging $15 for 10 small wings and small chips. The wings were very lightly coated in the sauce so they definitely need to be more generous in this dept. The potato chips were fantastic and crispy and great that you could choose various condiments to go on top. Great range of craft beers and would return to try their platters which are much better value for money and more variety of the menu items on offer . Definitely worthwhile visiting this venue in a group .
AMAZING CHIPS. They are perfect. There is also a selection of yummy seasoning you can sprinkle onto your chips. Wings are well cooked. But I was sad because the hot version wasn't really hot. Even my friend who doesn't eat spicy food didn't think it was hot. If you are after traditional American buffalo wings, just go to Kodiak Club. But if you're after fun flavours and sides and chips, this is the place
Died and gone to heaven!!!
Rockin' flavours, cold beer, hot chicks!
For a random cheat meal, you'll leave with a happy tummy and no regrets on this lil' flavour country.
Can...barely...move but so worth it!!
