Ordered HSP mixed and chicken kebab through uber eats. Portion is very generous and taste good as well. Make sure you pair it with your favourite sauces!
Viva kebabs gril burger pizza
520 flinders street Melbourne
Great atmosphere open till 4 am
Great tucker
Chargrill meals
Huge burgers
Best hsp
Great value
This place is pretty solid. The HSP were great as well as the staff serving us. It's a good sit down option for a kebab place and the proportions were good for the price.
We usually detest halal HSP because of the substandard quality of meat and overdose of fries, and thus, after much apprehension (but our friend insisted that we try them) we tried Chicken HSP at Viva Kebabs and surprisingly, , this was amazing and definitely way better and much tastier than any we have eaten so far. Meat was fresh, fries crisp and the choice of topping including Hummus was delish
Little expensive than the usual but definitely worth every penny
Totally loved the HSP!!! Ordered for lamb and chicken mix twice, and whatever we got both the times were worth the money.
I would recommend this joint for anyone who is looking for a great juicy HSP in the Melbourne CBD.
I am just in love with the HSP they offer ! The meat is always so juicy and flavourful. Tried HSP from other joints as well but this one still rules for me. Yet to try their other dishes which I definitely will give a try next weekend.
Sooo good!! I love this place so much!!! Last time i went they had an $11 deal for a large hsp and a drink, and now they gave me a free turkish delight. The customer service is excellent and they always overfill the hsp!
Haven't had kebab in a while, my friend likes this place so I decided to give it a go.
The place is literally just for takeaway. There is a newer branch just a minute walk away, but my friend wants the OG.
There was no line when we came (6.30pm), and we're greeted by the friendly staff. We're given each a turkish delight which was nice!
Lamb and chicken mix kebab was great, great amount of meat and vegs, with the pita bread toasted perfectly. I'd suggest getting the sweet chilli and garlic (extra chili sauce if you like spicy) to accommodate the saltiness of the meat. I do think it's bit too salty. They kindly offered to cut it in half as I was sharing it with a friend.
Halal snack pack was pretty good too, size was on point and with this you have to go with obviously the three sauces (bbq chilli and garlic) to get the full experience. Fries were freshly fried and meat was pretty similar to the one in the kebab.
Nb: we were told we can bring our food to the other branch so we went there to sit and eat.
There are also a new pide bread as an option for kebab.
Nice kaba! And we have ordered 4!! Nice combination with meat and vegetables !
And the price is ok! Not expansive but as this price with this food! I have to say is nice!
I was craving meat and salad and Viva Kebabs came highly recommended. The place is clearly popular, there were plenty of people seated inside when I was there and plenty ordering takeaway too, even the cafe is not in what you’d call the busiest part of town. I ordered mixed chicken and lamb, sauce on the side, with salad and a few randomly sprinkled jalapeños on top. I have rarely chosen this wisely. The meat was fantastic. Fresh as a daisy and really tender and nicely flavoured. The salad was great too. The dish was so good, I actually went back for a second helping, a very rare thing. It was delicious. These Keto people might be on to something, you know.
Service here was brisk and snappy. Pleasant if you showed some interest. I’d expect nothing less. Was that a Turkish or Arab hip hop playlist that was briefly on on house sound system? It was growing on me.
Vibe Kebas is a great spot for a quick tasty and cheap meal or snack. It delivers and at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
super generous portion, its huge and you can share it with 2-3 people i think. Their lamb are tender and chips are crispy. Everything is topped with mayo, spicy sauce, and garlic aoli. Its just the perfect cheat day food
If deciding between viva and CBD, viva uses gloves, worth the extra $1 for kebab. Nice and hypoallergenic. Good service. Seriously good kebabs.
A great place to grab a kebab or a HSP, the other night i had a HSP the meat was tender and juicy and the chips was just perfectly cooked and crispy. would go back just to try their kebabs
Whoever created the HSP deserves a gold star! And the nice folk at Viva Kebabs serve one of the best HSPs in Melbourne. On a bed of crispy addictive chips, thin layers of well seasoned meats are topped with your choice of sauces. It all sounds so simple but the end result is out of this world! HSP forever!
The HSPs are SO good! Best in Melbourne by far. Generous servings of tender meat, the fries aren’t soggy, and the sauces are zingy and complement each other well. Plus, it’s open until 6am, so it’s perfect for late night munchies.
Kebabs aren’t all that. If you’re going here, go for the HSP, trust me.
Came here after a night out....best decision ever!!! The staff were soooo friendly and genuinely nice and the HSP....amazing. Lots of meat and sauce! Definitely stopping here from now on
Three letters never sounded better together... HSP.
Viva is my favourite. Friendly guys and very patient. Its a hole in the wall but you cant miss it with the crowds of party goers with the munchies.
If you haven't been drunk enough or out late enough to have one, you are missing out on a good time.
Came here on a late night from the clubs and this place was buzzing. They have some seriously good HSP's here ! One of the best I've had in the CBD
The perfect place to go for a late night snack. Super generous with all the extra toppings and sauces on our HSP. Best part was how much pride they take in what they serve. Would recommend!
We thought about going to a fancy restaurant but I’m from Brisbane. We have plenty of fancy restaurants. What we lack is good kebabs and I was hanging out for a good kebab - not a bland tasteless offering where the person making it doesn’t know what tabouleh is.
The smell was amazing. Kebab it was. I ordered the falafel and was not disappointed. There was plenty of flavour and plenty of sauce. Simple. Delicious. Yum!
The famous viva HSP didn’t fail to satisfy my HSP cravings! A generous serve of meat, cheese and sauce this HSP is definitely on the top HSP list in Melbourne! It is along Flinders street across the road front the aquarium.
Just grabbed a kebab for lunch at the restaurant outlet up the road from the hole in the wall outlet. Got my mixed kebab with all the usual extras and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and price. Nice thin bread and an overall well balanced kebab. Will definitely head back there when I get my Turkish cravings and will perhaps give one of their grill items a go next time. May even suggest going there with a group of work colleagues for a cheap fuss free lunch one-day also as there is ample seating.
These folks are genius.
What a lovely display of vibrant and palatable dishes. These folks know how to make some scrumptious kebabs. Apart from the food, the service is also great.
This never disappoints.
Are you down with HSP? (yeah you know me)
If you are craving a Halal Snack Pack (HSP) in Melbourne's CBD then Viva is the place to go. A small hole in the wall establishment on the grungy end of Flinders Street. The staff were very friendly and guided me through my first HSP experience. This place is very popular with queues at 5:30pm. Please note that their are no tables or chairs.
If you don't know what a HSP is, think hot chips, grated cheese, kebab meat, garlic sauce, BBQ sauce, chilli sauce in a Styrofoam container. At $15 with a can of soft drink, it's great value.
Good taste.
Thin bread.
Not too oily.
Happy workers.
Clean premises.
Space to sit down and watch tv,
Decent price.
Open late.
Halal food....
Nice little kebab place
The small hsp is more than enough for someone and only $7
I found the flavours were pretty average
Nothing really stood out but I would come back here if I ever feel like a hsp
The meat was tender which I really like
I just wish there was more cheese
Overall pretty good
Amazing HSP, great customer service and delicious Kabab. I love this place because of the quality of the food. The chicken, lamb is always fresh and I have never encountered issues with this place.
One of the most iconic kebab restaurants in the city. It's very famous for HSP. Its a must try. The portions are great and the meat is tender too. It usually gets very busy at dinner time, especially on weekends, so its advised to go early.
Went here for quick lunch/dinner (in between) and pretty full afterward.
We order lamb kebab which i didnt take the photo and small hsp mixed meat~
The kebab is nice👌🏻 since i never try hsp before i would say that its really good :) plenty meat and warm fries~
Got the lamb HSP. YUM. LOVED THE LAMB SO MUCHHHH. ♥️♥️ The meat wasn't too dry and portion was so generous!
The negatives are that there weren't enough sauce on the chips (most of them are on the meat) so the chips were pretty dry when eating them alone.
Now I feel like HSP again. THAT LAMB! *drools* 😍😍
Great HSP massive for the size and genuine bloke who owns it. If you want quality over quantity though I'd have to direct you to Glenny Kebabs
Not all kebabs are created equal! Its amazing how many times I've walked past this joint and ignored what looks like a hole in the wall!
Anyway gave it a whirl today - talk about not judging a book by its cover. It was one of the best kebabs I've had. I tried the chicken with hummus and chilli. The chicken was crispy on the outside and fresh on the inside, and the bread was perfect - not too thick or thin. It was a Turkish style bread that was toasted.
A new regular spot just around the corner from the office.
Highly recommended!
Have tried the chicken and mixed snack pack. Both tasted good. It is open quite late in the night. So always crowded. To cut out the sweetness don't add BBQ sauce.
HSP IS ON POINT! Super large serving and cheap, $15 with drink. Bring on diabetes. The sauces and meat mix so good together. Plus it's right next to the yarra so just stroll across the road and sit on the grass, watching the boats cruise past. Haven't been there for a while but will be going soon for hsp fix!
Trying to decide whether to go to CBD kebabs or viva kebabs for a Hsp as they are next to each other side by side. After happy visits to Cbd kebabs before, it was time to try the next door neighbors kebab to see which is better. All i can say is Wow. HSP at via is awesome! Got the holy trinity of sauces, along with lamb, cheese and chips. I have my new favourite place to have my HSP in the city. Could feed 2 easily but i'm a fairly big eater most of the time so i finished off this big serve. The meal is presented well with the sauces and the serving is bigger then CBD Kebabs because at viva you can't even close the lid. As i was walking to sit down and find a place to eat people saw the container and were saying whoa! Because of the size of this thing. Cost was $15 with a can of soft drink. Will be back for more. #vivahsp
You haven't had a proper night out in Melbourne until you visit Viva Kebabs in the AM drunk with sore feet feeling desperate to satisfy that post-alcohol munchies. This place is perfect for a greasy, affordable, and (most importantly) non-judgmental feed. So what are you waiting for? Take a few shots, go dancing, and come to Viva Kebabs.

Comfortably the best HSP in Melbourne. Great value for money, incredibly generous on the sauces and cheese, meat and chips cooked to perfection. The staff are always polite and in a great mood.
This was my #halalsnackpack from #vivakebabs last week - for anyone thinking this is the #best #hsp in #victoria or #melbourne I feel sorry for you - it's clear you would have to be #smashed and #offyourhead in every manner to think that - or you simply haven't been around in the hsp #game - having said that it was #average just #ok it did have some #advantages being: the meat had good flavour; there was extra meat; the meat to chips ratio was very good; the sauces were all nice. Now for the cons: the meat tasted well overcooked and wasn't tender (even though the flavour was there); the chips didn't have sufficient seasoning; there was only a bit of cheese melted in between the chips and meat, definitely not enough; there was more cheese on top of the meat which was just cold and not melted - why not just put it in between the chips and meat so it can cook? And the biggest con of all in any hsp in my books is that it was not #one - all the #ingredients felt separate - a hsp should blend all the ingredients together so that it evolves into one creature - that is when you can #taste the full flavour of the chips, cheese, meat and sauce in one forkful. I had to battle for this in my case. 6/10 for the hsp.
I am happy to give this another shot if I am drunk and in the area, but I will not be going out of my way to get here for a hsp.
Overall 7/10 however as the customer service and price were first class!!
Viva Kebabs is one of the best kebab shops in Melbourne. If you were to only get one thing, get the HSP with all the sauces. Its got a super big serving enough to feed two. It's delicious and you won't regret it.
Their meat is beautiful. Their chips are crunchy. Their servings make you wonder if they make a profit or not. The ratio between the sauce and chips is perfect. The service is great and always make you feel loved and wanted
Long queues and a lack of seating are the only thing that hinder Viva from a deserving 5 stars. One of the biggest and best snack packs I've ever had, Viva is worth the wait! Words can't even describe my love for this place. Would recommend to anyone in the city looking for a cheap snack pack, packed to the brim with meat and oozing with sauce.

Their halal snack pack is the best I've had in Melbourne. The portion is huge, and it's just really damn nice. quality and quantity! The staff are good blokes too which helps. Woule recommend
First time to try and I'm hooked. The serving is so huge and can be shared with 2 people. Free drinks is included as well. Just beware of the long queue.
I thought i jump on the halal snack pack bandwagon and give it a go and my god it aint no 'snack'! the meat was tasty and the garlic chilly sauce was a great combination with the chips and meat. was a bit of a wait for the food as its a tiny space with a long queue but all good, worth the wait. good feed after a night out
Halal snack pack mix of lamb and chicken. The best. $15 so worth it. Fries at the bottom. Layered with mozzarella and topped with more meat.
I’ve heard the halal snack pack here is one of the best in Melbourne so I was very anticipated to try it out. I received a free can of soft drink with my pack which I really liked. My meat was cooked very well – soft and full of flavour which tasted amazing with the garlic and barbeque sauce. Despite this, the chips were extremely oily as if they weren’t drained enough. I could only taste the oil and feel a bit of the crisp when I ate the chips which was the only let down. :(
Best snack pack! $15 for a massive amount of mixed meat on a bed of fresh cruchy chips and a drink!
Highly reccommend, the owner is such a good bloke to talk to and so much better compared to CBD Kebabs next door!
Fast and friendly service, was even given a free drink with my HSP. Best sauce, quality meat and chips cooked to perfection. Only downside is that there is nowhere to sit.
Where do I start. Viva kebabs delivers one's of the best snack packs I've ever tasted.
