Gotta Love The Windsor Alehouse! Such a good Pub! The Beer is always cold! The staff are a pack of legends and the food is outstanding! Don't hesitate to stop in for a cold beverage! Or to try the food! You will not be disappointed! I highly recommend The Windsor Alehouse! šŸŗšŸ»šŸŗšŸ„©šŸ”šŸ”šŸ®šŸ·

I mean if you stayed at the Hostel above then you need to review the Bar below. ABSOLUTELY love the Windsor Alehouse... This has become my new favourite Pub in Melbourne. Quick Service, Awesome food (Loads of Veggie Options) and really reminds me of my time in London. 6 Stars if I could... Just the best

Thank you so much for hosting my birthday party the staff were so lovely and accommodating. Security worked hard to make sure only my guests were in the area I hired and I canā€™t thank them enough! Would highly recommend having a birthday here or just going in for a meal and a beer the staff are amazing!

Held a function in the Brewroom last night. Fantastic experience from the very first look at the room right through the booking and planning process to the night itself. The staff could not do enough to help. They were brilliant. Food was great, bar service excellent. Highly recommend. Thanks for a wonderful evening. Vanessa

6/10 $25.00 Friday special 300 gms Porterhouse, thin steak, came out just warm and a bit chewy. Good wine ... A bit retro inside ... nice and warm ambiance

A great pub. Super friendly staff and delicious meals. I had the special slowed cooked pork with vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. My partner had the Alehouse burger. Both meals were fresh, delicious and value for money. The staff couldnā€™t be more helpful with helping you with the choice of beers and were so friendly. A great Sunday afternoon in the pub. Will be back.

Probably one of the best fish and chips we had. The herb wings were amazing too. We really liked the ambiance and service as well. A great place to chill and enjoy truly great pub food.

6 friends and I paid 100 dollars each to reserve a table for the ufc PPV. We arrive, there's no table or seats reserved for us, there's no audio on the TV and the bar staff didn't want to hear about it. Not sure what I paid for, total rip off, won't be returning

3.9

The Windsor Alehouse has come ahead in leaps and bounds. This used to be ā€œPint on Puntā€ before an overhaul. The renovation is a delight. Bright and airy bistro out the back looks great. It was quiet when we visited for a quick beer, but the bloke behind the bar was fantastic. Served us a Fury & Son Pale Ale which went down a treat. We sat outside in the sun to drink it. Lovely. There is also accommodation upstairs.

3.9

Crap food - stale burger bun, small serves, cold chips. Disappointing! Trivia was fun but they lost our booking. Staff were lovely and the only redeeming factor. We won't be back

I ordered $12 sliders - you get 3 very small sliders. Not much filling at all besides from pork and Asian slaw. I would have expected more. Their mains though are huge but quite pricey. You can get a better deal at nearby restaurants such as Purple Cafe. Here a Parma is $20 but at Purple they are only around $12.

Love this place, the bar is cosy and fresh, the staff are friendly and their daily special meals are great value (and delicious!). Im a big fan of $15 burger Thursdays (the chicken burger is great) and the $15 parmas on Wednesday (at lunch they do a parma that's not on the menu) and i've given the roast a go and have to say I was impressed with their yorkshire pudding skills! Live music all weekend too.

Came here for dinner and some drinks. Great place, great food and great service. Loved the decor and had a really chill theme. Our meals were delicious and loved the espresso martini. Will definitely be back.

Great chicken parma topped with a slice of Christmas leg ham, napoli sauce and cheese. Have had this twice on a recent visit to Melbourne. Great pub all round.

Had dinner there the other night and I still don't understand why their chicken Parma is one of the most expensive yet most average in Melbs. Friendly staff though but go there for drinks not food.

Was going to eat here because they offer gluten free options. Jumped on their website to look at the menu (22/04/17) Ā and it claims a Slow Braised Beef Brisket cooked in 150 lashes pale ale is gluten free. Should be banned from advertising as gluten free friendly on this alone.

Great atmosphere, small Melbourne corner pub with friendly staff and great live entertainment.
I've eaten here a few times now and the food has always been delicious! Great chicken parma, thick chicken with generous toppings and side salad. The tacos were a great GF option, so tasty, you can pick different fillings and from memory about $14 for a decent serving.
Being a local, I'll certainly be back! Next stop $10 expresso Saturdays!!
The City Lane
The Windsor Alehouse is the revamped reincarnation of former Irish pub, Pint on Punt. Walk inside and the bones of the old venue are there, including the large horseshoe shaped bar in the centre, but itā€™s all been updated with a more 2016 feel.

Literally the worst place I have been to.
Staff no idea even re beer, no idea re food.
Had to wait over an hour for bar snacks, actually not even busy. Wine glasses were filthy and the dude behind the bar gave them a rinse and passed them back still wet and dirty. Honest amateurs. Cannot wait for an actual professional outfit to take over this place. Could probably get away with this in a ratchet country town but not in Melbs and not in an inner suburb. Would defs avoid!!
Melbourne Food
Delicious! This place has been given a make over and it looks so much better! I had the black pudding starter which was really lovely. From looking at the other food that came out, it all looked really good. Will definitely return if not for food for a drink.

Ordered the haloumi salad and beef brisket. The brisket was fine and came with a side of kale and sweet potato which was good. The salad on the other hand was disgraceful. It was in the large plates section but was definitely a side. The haloumi was the crappy super crispy, excessively salty stuff, there was a smear of hummus underneath that was awful and then a pinch of sad wilted looking lettuce on top. I know it's a pub and whatnot but this dish needs to be seriously overhauled. The whole idea is great, but the result, not so much.

We had a sensational dinner at the Windsor Alehouse. Generous portions, great value and excellent service.Ā 4 adults and a teenager all had different meals and all were impressed by the individual flavours and presentation of the meals.Ā Saturday music was great in the background too.Ā After dinner we shared a few drinks and chatted.Ā Fun night all in all.
The Plus Ones
Nothing beats burgers, beer, and good camaraderie on a Friday night. Lucky for us south-siders, The Windsor Alehouse delivers the first two. The latter is BYO, but Iā€™m sure you can manage. For me, it doesnā€™t get more local than Windsor Alehouse. Formerly Pint on Punt, a dilapidated British backpackersā€™, the place recently had a facelift with a side of trendy. ItĀ sits directly across the road from my house! I couldnā€™t be more happy (or proud) to have such a cool-kid neighbour.

I went here for a mates birthday a couple of days ago. They have a great selection of craft beers here.

Food wise we had some share plates of cheese balls, (just deep fried cheese lol)

We shared some hot chips etc and the burgers and the rest of the food on the menu looked really good. Mnnnn hahaha

Worth a look and parking is surprisingly easy near this hotel.
