This has to be a contender for the best coffee in Melbourne. Don't be fooled by it's lack of pretentiousness, it has no bearing on the flavour of the coffee. This is only enhanced by what's hanging from the walls, and the epic tunes. Love this place.
Best coffee in town. After you drink it every other coffe starts to taste like mediocre at best. Be sure to ask for chris for the coffee.
The place it self has a warm and cozy feeling to it. The cookies and meat there are to die for. Hats of to the chefs.
This place should be packed.
Simple food that is cheap and good service.
One of the cheapest hangover cures I have experienced. Bacon and eggs on toast were exactly how I cook them. Nothing fancy, but it doesn't need to be.
If the "Cheers" TV show was a deli.... The coolest thing about Riverside Deli when I popped in there for a coffee at mid-morning was listening to the chatter between the regular customers and the crew behind the counter. This seems like a place where everybody knows your sandwich's name. It looks to be a Greek family running it. They must keep people happy, because it looked they got a lot of repeat trade from the enterprises and government offices nearby. The repartee is nice to see in this part of the CBD where there's so much anonymous tourist traffic.
My flat white was all right. Maybe I'm imagining too much into the flavour, but it seemed sort of Greek-ish. A bit stronger than many coffees, slightly pungent taste (not in a bad way) that made me think of Greek cheese. The focus here is more on hot meals, salads and sangers. I settled for a chocolate croissant, as is my wont, and the lady at the register cut it into fanned-out thirds for me. Nice touch! If you come here, you'll want to touch the vintage move and rock 'n' roll posters that cover the walls. Someone here has cool viewing habits!
Had lunch here today, roast pork and salad. Was super yummy. Best roast pork I’ve had in a long time and the salads were also very nice. Coffee was very good too. They have lots of options for lunch. Like nice home made foods. Pastas and quiches and roast meats. My friends who also came down really enjoyed their lunches too. The staff were nice and friendly. Would 100% come back here if I was in the area. Good prices too!!! Very happy.
We were extremely impressed with this little cafe. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was unique and cosy. The coffees were very good and the food was delicious, for a great price. Extremely satisfied and highly recommended.
Best cafe in Melbourne. The coffee, food and vibe are 10/10. The owners are very cool and friendly. Do yourself a favour and go on Spanish Meatball Thursdays you won't be disappointed.
SENSATIONAL!! There isn't enough space here to list all the wonderful qualities about this little spot. Kindest most welcoming staff and fantastic feed. Its old Melbourne vibe will have us back like a tradition, from here on.
Thanks team Xx
Great cafe with friendly service and good food.
The quirky decor including the alternative movie and music posters make the atmosphere great.
The customer service is spot on such a friendly vibe and the food here is amazing.
Great prices and great location would high recommend anyone to come here 👍
I dropped in just before they finished for
the day. Nothing was a trouble had a delicious chicken schnitzel sandwich with excellent gravy. Very much worker/owner. Not in city often but will be back.
Great place to eat with wide choice of food, amazing team, vibe +++, and quality of food 'Delicious'. Close to the city, but out of the rush ! A must do eating spot for tourist or locals. Plenty of public transport nearby.
