The decor in this place is amazing, beautiful colourful furniture, a massive chandelier, and a wardrobe that leads to a downstairs area. The service was excellent, and I was so impressed with the waitress who served us, she remembered each of our orders (we were a table of nine). The pizza options will suit anyone, and the three cheese cigars, and crispy halloumi starters were the highlights. I tried the aussie prawn and calamari pizza and the wild mushroom pizza. Both were excellent, although slightly doughy around the edges. At $12 a pizza, it is very reasonably priced. This restaurant has a great atmosphere, I will definitely come back here.
đąLizzieâs first impression: Creative, fancy and cool vibes
đŠLizzie enjoyed:Â
I love how creative the bar is - you can go downstairs bar via the âclosetâ and also have to twist the music box to get into the bar. Itâs amazing!
I loved the decor of the place - the glasses are very fancy and the drinks are fantastic here. I had a Christmas party here and I can say the canapĂŠs blew me away - think blue cheese in spring rolls and delicious king fish on crackers. I was very impressed.
I also came here for cocktails and a meal and it was amazing - the halloumi was the stand out and so were the cocktails. AMAZING.Â
đ
Lizzie did not enjoy: service can be a bit slow especially on Friday nights where it is full capacity, but still love all the foods I tried.Â
đĽLizzie rates overall: a great place for date night or group drinks.
Trinket has a cool "hidden" bar that has sneaky little doors that's super fun to experience!
Ordered:
đ Proscuitto, sugo, shaved apple, balsamic, rocket, mozza ($16.00)
đ Spicy meatball, sugo, basil, chilli, smoked mozza ($16.00)
đĽ Herb garlic flatbread, hung yoghurt, smoked eggplant (v, gf) ($13.00)
đĽ Cruchy lettuce, maple bacon, soft crumbed egg, garlic mayo, parmesan side (gf) ($10.00)
Review:
We definitely ordered enough for 3. Stuffed at 2 people, the pizza was delicious and the herb garlic flatbread was new. The salad was doused with a generous servicing of parmesan that it frosted the tip of the lettuce.Â
Service was friendly and engaging, and it's a chill environment that really encourages you to hang out and relax.
Highly recommend Trinket after a long day at work. With less than $30 per person, a filling feed, Trinket has nailed both the quality and quantity in food đ.
Located close to our office, my colleagues and I decided to try this restaurant out after hearing some good reviews from others; good food, ambience and a decent Italian dining experience.
Whilst the wait for our food was quite long, it was hard to blame the staff as we had a large booking. With that said we all ordered a pizza each ($12) and a bunch of sides that we could barely finish. Left feeling full for sure. The sides we had ranged from chips to cheese sticks, much like the pizzas. Although I personally found the pizza too heavy on dough and crust, the quality and taste is decent especially for the price. I ordered the pork sausage pizza and was pleased nonetheless.
Definitely recommend trying this place out for a cheap lunch. If you like pizza that is on the doughy side, you will be right at home here. Good food, ambience and service!

Melbourne has plenty of classy bars, and Trinket is easily one of my favourites. Walking in to this bar is like heaven, with it's gorgeous green plush furnishings, chandeliers, open fireplace and shelves full of intriguing nicnacs. The stunning vintage wardrobe hides something special which is also gorgeous, but you need to discover that for yourself.
Trinket has recently added bottomless brunch to their weekends, and we ventured in for amazing cocktails and pizza. Welcomed warmly by lovely staff, it wasn't long before the room filled with fellow brunchers. However, we were fortunate enough to have our first cocktails by the fire which was lovely on an unseasonably chilly day. Cocktails include Bramble, mimosas and their own delicious spritz. I really enjoyed the cocktails, and they tasted as great as they looked.
Back at our table we started with pizza cigars. Delicious filo rolls filled with molten cheese and sauce. Yum!! Then came the pizzas. We stuck with traditional margherita, and it was perfect; with it's chewy crust, napoli sauce and creamy cheese. Fresh basil was an authentic touch that was so tasty. We got through one pizza, but could have had more if we had wanted it; but being good, we enjoyed the simplicity and fresh taste of this pizza.
Finishing up by the fire again, it was more cocktails and the most heavenly Italian dessert. Ricotta filled cannoli with an amazing crunchy shell and sweet, creamy filling. Sublime and the perfect end to our fun afternoon; we certainly finished on a high note.
I've always loved coming to Trinket, and now that they have this amazing bottomless brunch available I'm sure I will be back again soon. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon, in glamorous surrounds with perfect hospitality and scrumptious food and cocktails. Trinket is definitely onto a winner with this concept and judging by the happy crowd, I'm not the only person who thinks so.
Thank you so much for hosting us.
Recently visited Trinket to try their Feed Me menu. First of all, the space is cosy and elegant but not too stuffy, with little knick knacks decorating the space along with velvet furniture and vintage looking light fixtures.
Staff made sure I was well taken care of and that my dietary preferences were accommodated. They were able to make the Feed Me veggie. It was a ton of for the price, starting with a fresh mozarella and tomato bruschetta. We also tried the cheesy filo cigars served with a charcoal aioli and the crispy haloumi topped with a sticky sweet blueberry and gin sauce. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me but the salty cheese helped to counteract that.
Next came a really nice, soft Margherita with plenty of basil. It was served with a herb slaw, green and red tomato salad and a beetroot, pumpkin, quinoa and hung yoghurt salad which was my favourite.
I always thought Trinket was more of a drink destination, but the food really impressed me. That said, the cocktail list is a must try. I started with a delicious rum and sparkling wine cocktail while my partner got a gin, lemon and honey one. We ended with a super smooth, rose infused espresso martini and an interesting, Japanese-inspired highball made with rice milk and melon.
Whether for drinks, food or both, Trinket is a hit and provides good value for money the price.
4.5. Came here with my mom for a Saturday lunch and they do bottomless pizzas which was great!
The decor was really nice with a huge top ceiling to bottom shelf with a lot of unique displays in them.
There was also a hidden basement area which you need to access through a closet!! Super interesting! The place can be booked as a private event.
We had these pizzas and they were so nice! The dough is really tasty and usually you would hate the crust but I left the crust till last because they are so nice!
So we tasted these pizzas, and apparently they use a different dough for each of the different types so they can't half-half pizzas!
-CLASSIC MARGHERITA, SUGO, BASIL, MOZZA - Classic one to get - love the thick mozzarella cheese on it!
-POTATO, SHARP BLUE CHEESE, ROSEMARY, SEA SALT - This was really nice for a blue cheese lover! a bit salty but it tastes great!
-AUSSIE PRAWN, CALAMARI, TOMATO, CHILLI, BASIL - This had some fresh chilli kick to it and the prawns and calamari were just so tasty!
-PORK AND FENNEL SAUSAGE, BROCCOLI, SWISS CHARD, CHILLI, SMOKED MOZZA - This was ok and flavourful, but prefer the other ones :)
We tried these PIZZA CIGARS for the first time and they were like springrolls with a crispy pastry and wrapped with pizza filling! It was really nice and yummy!
For the drinks, we just got some mocktails such as peach and blackberry flavoured ones. They were a bit sour on its own but after the pizza and savoury food, it was just really nice!
To finish off, for desserts, we had Cannolis made with ricotta mousse. It was so smooth and tasty I can totally eat 10 of them! One of the best cannoli ever!
Thank you for the super filling lunch, Trinket!
Not a bad spot at all. We stopped here for a pre dinner drink, some Domain Chandon sparkling. Our table was good and the restaurant bar area is certainly pleasant. Service was brisk and efficient and moderately warm. The wine hit the spot too. Conclusion: the bar restaurant is good.
Went here not long ago! Itâs such a gorgeous interior and they also make some of the best cocktails in Melbourne! I absolutely love the closet staircase! Very unique and youâre going to have a good night here!
Highlights included perfectly cooked kangaroo loin served with smoked pumpkin, shin croquette, pepperberry and saltbush. This was matched with a cocktail cheekily named âCity Limitsâ - an enticing and heady combination of saltbush, Australian Green Ant Gin, Maidenii Sweet Vermouth, Okar Amaro and Melbourne Rooftop honey. The dessert of caramelised Davidson plum tart with finger lime ice cream was similarly delightful â displaying a mouth-watering interplay between sweetness and tartness. This was matched by the âPaperbark Writerâ cocktail â a smoky and alluring mix of paperbark smoked Davidson plum and Starward Whiskey.

Review: Ordered the Ramos Gin Fizz - which combined my favourite @fourpillars gin with vanilla, egg white, lemon, lime and soda. If you liked fruity cocktails and gin, this is for you. The egg white soufflĂŠ was delicious to finish!
Trinket was vibrant and buzzing on a Saturday night. May be challenging to get your drink due to the crowd, so be patient! Wide range of cocktails at standard pricing.

Another secret bar to add to the list in Melbourne! Love the concept and the old world glamour of this bar. There were complimentary shots of flavoured vodka (we got the lavendar infused vodka) which was so strong that it burned and warmed you up inside. The cocktails were really strong. I enjoyed the table service, but it could take a while sometimes.
A lovely addition to the Melbourne hidden bar scene!

Uber cool interior, lux velvet chairs, chandeliers, wooden floors & crystal glasses. The cocktail menu is creative and there's a good wine list, however they don't offer French champagne by the glass(sparkling is available).
They have a decent bar menu although we haven't tried any of the dishes so I can't make comment on the quality of the food.
There is table service in the main bar and we highly recommend you make a booking if you want to head down during peak periods. Service is a bit hit and miss - it can be hard to get their attention, but generally no errors with the orders.
They allow easy splitting of bills using the ipad on the bar, which is a fantastic feature if you have friends coming and going.
There's a hidden basement bar with entry through a secret passage in the wardrobe. Highly recommend checking this out.
Got the 2 margheritas. Amazing dough and flavour. Buffalo cheese was amazing but abit lacking. Loved the pizza. Service was nice and quick. Would come back for different flavours
What a great little place for cocktails and nibbles. Highly recommend doing the 'boozy bites'. The bar is decked out beautifully and feels very high end. The staff are attentive, the drinks are tasty and the food is different but delicious! All in all we had a fantastic afternoon!
This place is gorgeous. The 1940s vibe including a walk through wardrobe to an underground bar is so cool. However, I went there with my sister on a busy Saturday night and when we arrived the waitress pointed to a table and said take a seat Iâll bring you menus, so we sat there and ordered some food drinks etc. Then maybe an hour or so later a waitress came and said the table we were sat at was reserved and the people had just arrived so could we please find somewhere else to sit. Iâm not someone you tends to get annoyed about little things when out but this was pretty strange. So we got up and got told oh you can so sit over there by the fireplace those people are leaving. So I go and sit down there only to be told could you please just let us clear the table first. Ok cool. So now weâre just standing there In middle of the bar and our pizza arrives and I say to the other waiter well thanks but we donât have a table. So awkwardly he hands us the pizza so he doesnât have to stand there with it, but now weâre standing there awkwardly with drinks on our hand and our pizza. In the end they showed us to a table down stairs and we received a vodka shot each on the house which was lovely. So really, it wouldnât put me off coming back and the staff were llfriendly and obviously busy. But they need to get more organised I think as it was all a bit of a shambles.
Went to Trinket with my boyfriend for some cute cocktails and bites. Tucked away in the corner of the CBD, this beautiful opulent place was a hidden gem! The staff were lovely and took the time to explain the menu and give us recommendations. The cocktail list is HUGE! It was fun reading and picking from the massive list. The food was unique, well prepared and they had the best sausage rolls I had ever tasted. We didn't know that sausage rolls could even taste that good.
Cute date spot or for some drinks with your girlfriends đ
PS. There's a hidden bar downstairs! See if you can find the entrance. xx
Showing one of friends around Melbourne's bar scene we headed to Trinket. Initial impressions the interior is luxe and elegant with velvet chairs and sofas demonstrating a high end vibe. I was a little surprised that their was a waiting list for the hidden bar, however was highly impressed to recieve a complimentary drink upon seating. We decided to order some flatbread and beef cheek nuggets to snack on together with a glass of wine and a cocktail. Food was delicious, with the sauce for the beef nuggets truely packed with flavor. Service did take a while however expected in a busy bar. Overall drink prices are reasonsble however having a few it will start to add up.
Ok, whereâs the bar you ask? Itâs not the one on street level. Tucked behind a cupboard (and behind some dresses) is a downstairs cocktail bar reminiscent of the prohibition era speakeasies.
On arrival you are greeted with a complementary cocktail (and it was tasty but pretty strong!). Service was attentive and quick and they have a great range of cocktails. Prices are standard for a cocktail bar, most are between $20-30. The presentation of the cocktails are excellent. The range of beers is limited (and I wanted a dark ale and they didnât have any despite being on the menu).
Novel idea, nice place, but you canât have too any cocktails before the wallet starts to burn!
Great place for drinks and small bites with really comfy sofas! Good atmosphere and friendly service however it can be hard to hear the conversation when the DJ's playing.
Came here for some drinks, was kind of quite busy but had an amazing downstairs section thatâs quietly hidden - ask to go downstairs for a really cool experience. The drinks were quite interesting and nice, but a bit of a hit and miss. They served us a complimentary starter though which was delicious.
Such a gorgeous place! The decor takes you back in time, especially with all the cute little trinkets displayed on the wall cabinets. The service is impeccable and the food and cocktails/mocktails were delicious. We did the boozy bites menu last month and the cheese cigars are to die for! I highly recommend them!!! The flatbread was so well flavoured with simple ingredients. The only downside was that the boozy icy pops were partially melted before they had arrived to the table but we were advised that it was best to start with them to avoid them melting further. Make sure to check out the secret doorway to the downstairs bar!!

What a quirky funky venue in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. I love the plush velvet lounges. A super creative menu with the most amazing cheesy cigars with these pops of honey. The Trinket platter was so so good! I definitely recommend the White Swan cocktail too! I canât wait to return and try the other cocktails on offer.
Lovely cocktails and great service.. the hidden bar downstairs is perfect! The food however wasnât too great but I would definitely go back for the ambiance
The first I have noticed itâs the very cool door. This is the entrance you have to go see for yourself. Went there on a Friday night after work, great vibe. There is a downstairs which decoration is very retro. Drink menu is very impressive they do amazing cocktails. Food menu is very impressive definitely not your average bar food. Highly recommended!
Looking for a unique, elegant and cosy bar? Look no further Trinket is your place!
I went for their version of High Tea âBoozy bites and pink delightsâ. Itâs usually a âdark teaâ but for the months of October and November they are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness and donating $5.00 per person. How wonderful!
The price includes a selection of savouries and sweets and gosh wasnât I surprised- this bars food was just superb!
You get to choose a cocktail from their impressive cocktail menu and receive a glass of rose champagne. The staff here also blew me away so lovely and very attentive. What a perfect spot for an afternoon with the girls. They even have a beautiful fireplace for the winter.
Thank you Trinket I will be talking about you for a long time đđđ¸
We went to Trinket for my sisters hens party and simply loved the space. I definitely advise booking out seating as thereâs not a lot of room and all seats were occupied. Itâs a really cool quirky venue with a secret downstairs area that you enter via a cupboard, all very Narnia.
Staff were a little stressed with the volume of people in there but the dj was playing some relatively good music and the cocktails were impressive. Thereâs table service too which was a win. Downstairs area if you want a quieter night, upstairs for a lively fun atmosphere either way the venue exudes luxurious glamorous ambiance
Enjoyed the boozy high tea at Trinket today. Sophisticated venue with a somewhat magical vibe (theme based on the lion, witch and the wardrobe). For $50 we received a glass of sparkling rose and a cocktail as well as a selection of food. We started with cheese cigars, tomato and smoked mozzarella pizza, profiteroles, raspberry ice cream pops and chocolate ganache bites. The cheese cigars were by far the stand out dish.
I usually donât write reviews for cocktail bars as the best ones should be hidden and experienced firsthand. Trinket is a rather new addition to the many in the city. The ballerina is a rather novel way to enter the place. The cocktails were good but I feel like their bartenders donât take it as seriously as some of the others around town. Highlights: chic surroundings. Lowlights: not above average cocktails.
Cool little speakeasy in the CBD which has a lot of character. The cocktails are well-made and the ambience is great. Bar staff were not the most attentive or engaging, so the service was so-so.
Yesterday I tried the dark tea - the boozy bites and dark delights. It is $45, and with that $45 you get a cocktail of your choice, a glass of champagne, a pizza like dish to share, cheese cigars (the best!), macaroons, mini golden gay time ice cream and mini chocolate cakes.
The cheese cigars came with an aioli with an ash like powder. Really cool. The golden gay time mini ice creams were delicious! The black macaroons were a bit tasteless. The pizza like dish was nice. The chocolate cake was a bit sweet but I liked that we were provided with spoons.
Some of my friends commented that they would have liked their own individual plates to make eating easier. Some of my friends wanted more savoury dishes as well. I was happy with what I got because I love sweets and the drinks were worth the price. I can 100% recommend the Centre Stage cocktail.
The venue is beautiful and has lots of hidden surprises. Go explore the venue fully when you are there. Also love the entrance! Itâs so creative. Itâs smart that the venue has an alternative entrance since some of my friends would have gone home if there was only one entrance since they couldnât figure out how to get inside. đ
Really nice jazz bar hidden under a closer door. A nice concept with ground floor being a bar with great music. Jazz bar still a stand out with nice cocktails and drinks. Love this place with velvet chairs and great music
Trinket is a new cocktail bar on Flinders Lane, occupying the space that housed Italian bar and restaurant Terra Rossa for almost a decade. We were recently invited to check out the revamped space and were keen to see how big the changes were.
The cocktails at Trinket are amazing! And donât be fooled that itâs a âbarâ because the food is great too. We loved the pizza!
@MelbourneLovesFood
Beautiful place to visit, with the most gorgeous chandelier!
The food was amazing and very quick to come out..... and the cocktails đ¸ are the best đ
We'd been to Trinket a few times for drinks and food and that was enough for a five star review, but we loved the place so much we thought we'd see if they could host our wedding reception... and they could! We booked out the entire venue and it was the most amazing experience. Utter perfection. Jonathon and his team are amazing to deal with in the preparation and on the night. Really did their absolute best to make us feel like the stars of the evening. Thank you so much :)
A fun bar with nice cocktails and good food. Staff were lovely and our friends had a great time sitting on their couches. One waitress showed us their famous closet entrance down to the downstairs bars which was pretty cool
We had a brilliant time here tonight. The staff were lovely and hospitable, and the vibe was great. The drinks and food came out quickly and the portion size on the fries was more than generous. We saw some incredible food coming out but only stayed for drinks, though we're planning to come back and try more food soon.
5/5, highly recommend this excellent bar.
A great example of a modern Melbourne cocktail bar. The cocktail I chose was very tasty and had a fire show on delivery. Very cool and fun and Instagram does represent the bar quite well. I guess I was just taken back by the lack of variety in spirit choices in cocktails, having to order only on the table beacons, I couldnât get any variety of drink; Eg: dirty martini with a higher shelf spirit, and the staff not once stopped to see if I needed anything (thatâs the beacons job though đ¤ˇđťââď¸). Having the longer wait on my drink bugged me slightly more once I couldnât get a drink I actually wanted. Iâm sure this experience wasnât exactly what they normally offer though!
Caught up with my girlfriends here early on a Thursday evening. We had a booking and were quickly seated. Most tables were taken, so recommend booking. Food and drink orders can either be done through the QR code at the table or at the bar in person. We each had a couple of cocktails which were delicious and shared a couple of pizzas, calamari and fries. Calamari was deliciously tender and seasoned. I was disappointed with the mushroom pizza as it tasted like the mushrooms were from a tin or jar and not fresh, they felt a bit slimy and I ended up scraping them off. It was still a great couple of hours (there is a 2 hour limit on early bookings) and place has a great vibe and feel to it. A good age range mix of customers too. Good service.
