2 brilliant burgers. The 3051 tasted fresh and healthy! The gluten free chicken burger the same! Highly recommend! Fast, hot, healthy, tasty
First time, really tasty burgers, quality was great. Friendly staff. Unique shakes, worth every cent. Recommending the sticky and and apple rhubarb.
The burgers are really fresh and delicious! I went with two friends and we were all impressed by the quality of the burgers. May be a ten minute wait for the burgers but this is because they are made fresh on the spot. The chips are generously portioned and the man who served us was really lovely! Recommend this place, will be returning!
Used groupon voucher for 4. Excellent hamburgers and chicken burgers. Very tasty. Great value. Will definitely go back.
I love this place for the variety , the aroma of fresh bun and the crispy loaded fries
Had a fantastic lunch here using a Groupon voucher. The burgers were delicious and so were the chips. Excellent quality food for such a good price. The overall vibe and the atmosphere of the small restaurant was awesome. Good variety of burgers even for little ones.
Cheeseburger was good. Tasty bun aswell. Chips were nice and crispy however the vegetarian burger was a huge let down. Bun wasnt soft and the patty tasted like a coles frozen patty
Absolutely delicious burger.
Took advantage of one of the specials they were running, both of us were greatly impressed.
The Legend burger was delicious and cooked perfectly for both of us.
Came here on the 30% off voucher. This is a small outlet with some tables and benches indoors, and a couple of long outdoor benches that are still sheltered. Only one person was manning the store but he managed it well. Wasn't particularly friendly but wasn't rude either and I was fine with that, being a no frills establishment such as this. I had the full trolley (burger with the lot) and a small chips.
The burger bun was very soft and well toasted, which makes such a big difference to a burger. The other ingredients, particularly the pineapple, egg and bacon, were done properly and I had no problems with it. The beef patty was reasonably thick, but unfortunately had kind of a stale oil taste to it, reminiscent of what you'd get from your local fish and chippery. The fries were mediocre, also very similar to the chips at your average fish and chippery. The self serve tomato sauce helped with that though.
Overall, even without the discount, it was a reasonably priced burger at about $14 for the lot, and just a few dollars for the small chips. But it wasn't outstanding. With the discount, I paid about $12 in total, and for that price, I'd be happy to drop by again if I'm in the area and in the mood for a burger.
As burgers go this place is reasonable in both price and quality. The chips were hot and tasty.
There was no extra charge for tomato sauce. +++
The burgers were juicy and well cooked. Would go back.
The key stand out about this place is their protein filling - particularly their chicken. Tender and moist, it was cooked wonderfully.
The burger bun itself, condiments and salads were ordinary, but good enough. Portions were generous.
Chips were freshly cooked.
We live locally and are regulars at Wonky. The burgers are great and we have honestly been having their burgers once a week for the last year. Only just signed up to this app so had to give our favourite burger place a good review. Try the Avo burger it’s fantastic!
My partner and I had some burgers at this place last night. Initially the service was excellent, the man who served us was really friendly and polite.
We ordered a Cajun chicken burger to share and a cheese burger each. Whilst it took a little while for the burgers to cook, I was happy to wait because they were absolutely delicious.
The Cajun chicken burger was awesome, with some great chilli flavours w a good mayo and all piping hot.
The cheeseburger was just as good, and a really tasty meat patty. There was no grease or gristle and the cheese was great. Overall a great burger place on Errol Street, and this place is a must visit If your looking for some really good burgers! Happy days.

The @wonky_trolley 3051 in all it’s glory.⠀
Double beef, double cheese, bacon and that wonky sauce is all sorts of good. Bacon was super crispy which is a winner in our book. The seeded brioche bun isn’t that common but it was one of the best components soaking up all the juices from this double cheesy.
The chips unfortunately weren’t anything special lacking seasoning. All in all a simple menu that does the essentials well.

Not a great start as turned up at 11 and told they would be ready for over half an hour. We really wanted to try so waited until 11.40 before we could order and got good at 12. Food was very good however. Was worth the wait and would go back. Sick burgers! Would have been rated higher if didn't have to wait
Tasty but the beef had far too much grizzle in it. You'd like to think that a burger place would ideally get the quality of their patties right.

Been a few times now and dig it. The 3051 burger is the bomb! Shakes are hit and miss though. Reasonably priced and would recommend for those who love burgers.
Woowzers - just had The 3051 burger with a side serve of chips, and it was amazing! Juicy meat patties, runny cheese and bacon. Came out super hot.
Delicious burgers at a great price! I had the cheesy B. Perfect! Mmmmmmm cheese! :) definitely worth checking out if youre in north melbourne and want a burger! :)
Staff were very friendly and committed. Layout of the store was original, clean, and overall well presented.
Burger and chips were great. Patty was well cooked and blended very well with the rest of the burger. Just couldn't taste the cheese and taste overall felt very slightly underwhelming when comparing to other gourmet burgers.
Would come again and definitely recomend to friends.
Really happy with Wonky Trolley today. Both beef (3051) and fried chicken (WFC with bacon) were really nice, especially liked what they did with the buns as they tasted really good. Poutine was yummy as well but would have been nice if served with a plastic fork or something.
Awesome food, great service! Very delicious burgers! Chips were fresh and crispy. Well priced for what you get and offer alcoholic beverages.
I'll be honest I came here for the name but it was actually a really cute spot with delicious burgers. I had the chicken and avocado burger which is always a winning combination and the chips were golden and crunchy and deliciously crispy. Pretty decent pricepoints too
Had a cheeseburger with added fried chicken. Cooked perfect, fresh bun and ingredients and lovely staff.
Accommodated my pregnant wife's dietary needs without question. One of the best burgers I've had in Melbourne. Chips were nice but could be tastier :)
Excellent!!! One of the best burgers I've had in a long time! Patty was excellently cooked, fantastic cheese (what was that deliciousness!?!), incredible sauce and the bacon was cooked perfectly. I had the 3051 burger and am happy to say i will be a regular! Chips are admittedly pretty average but with a burger like that, really? Who the hell cares!?! Yum, yum and YUM!!!
The burgers here are quite decent for the price you pay. Beef patties are reasonably thick, nicely cooked and slightly pink. Buns are okay. It's a quick and easy joint in the middle of Errol St, North Melbourne to satisfy the sudden hunger pangs for burgers.
Had the cheesyb and legend burgers. Cooked well and fresh as can be. Sides were fantastic and worth getting. Only problem I found is that the cheesyb had way too much mustard....to the point where it was dripping out on all sides of the burger on the tray. I think this may have been a once off by someone with an itchy trigger finger.
Worth checking out and I'll definitely be back!
Cool little place, burgers were yummy & there's plenty of options which I loved! Have great cheap ciders, great place for weekend lunch or summer dinner chills!
Very happy with the burgers and the staff were super nice and knowledgeable. I don't eat dairy or gluten and this place had all I needed. Very yummy burger woot!
Every time I go to Wonky Trolley, I plan on trying something new. But I just end up ordering the 3051 as usual. One of the best burgers in Melbourne.
Loved it, tasty fresh, thanks a real burger at last
Grilled onions good bun, good decor, friendly staff, beer even.
Will go back again for sure
Came here for dinner on the weekend, ordered the 3051, buffalo wings and the putine. The 3051 burger was delicious, moist and the beef cooked very nicely. The wings were also tasty, with a crispy outside and generous amount of sauce. The putine was the most satisfying, although it would be even better if the serving size was slightly larger. All in all a good experience and the service staff on the day were very nice.
Great burger (I had the 3051), perfect patties, great Wonky sauce, all tied together really well. Chips were standard cut, crispy and fresh. Girls working served me quickly and did a great job, even if they were chatting to all their friends at the same time (I guess as a male I just don't understand multi-tasking! 😜) will definitely be visiting again.
Great burgers at a fair price. Great service. I may be a bit weird but I like my burger patties to be well done with no pink so I have to ask for that. Poutine goes alright but nothing to go nuts over. Overall good experiences here
Great place for a mid afternoon hunger fix. I went for the "double cheesy b". Was mouth-wateringly good. Delicious beef patties and the right level of cheese and sauce. Cooked nicely and not too sweet.
When I came and look at their burger pictures on the walls I wasnt that impressed. When i had the burger tho, it was good. The bun was the actually better than i thought and the meat were cooked well (not well done) . The chips was just okay thou
Have been a few times now and has been of a great standard each time. Love the Double Cheesy B! Chips are nice. Can be a bit of a wait, but worth it.
The west coast burger was definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had. The chips were of the perfect taste and texture. Thanks wonkey trolley for producing such amazing burgers!! I'm definitely coming back for more!!
Had the Cheesy B burger yesterday. Well made burger with the right amount of ingredients great balance of tang, juicy patty and soft tasty brioche bun. Well done guys
My first word that came to mind about the wonky grilled onion burger was, “simple.” honestly, one would think you could cook this at home, yeah right!!! however, they would be truly wrong. this burger is delicious, and the simplicity of beef, grilled onions, cheese, salad, relish, mustard mayo, created a bite that was filled with flavours. the beef was juicy, and the onions delivered a welcomed sweetness, this is a terrific burger and I will certainly return.
Some considerable time has passed since my last burger, and I felt it was right to “come back” in the best way possible. Ok, so a couple of weeks is not the longest hiatus from burgers one can imagine, but you can feel I’m building a layer of excuses here, ready for something big!. I broke all the rules on my trip to Wonky Trolley. Keen observers will have already picked this from the photo. It’s staring you in the face. That double hit of cheese, barely covering up the 2 beef patties sandwiched between the bun.
Wow! Yes!! Yes!! This place has never disappointed. If you are caught up in the burger hype of Melbourne, give these guys a go!
Pictured is their 3051 + double jalapeños + extra beef patty and Poutine chips on the side
Friendly service, quality food and well priced
They have taken a different approach here at Wonky Trolley, and I'm still trying to figure out if it was a good move. I appreciated the menu with a photograph of the burger on the wall, its always good to see what you'd like to eat beforehand. The burger itself was a good size if you order chips with it, i honestly was still a little hungry after having a Grilled Onion burger on its own. The bun was so overpowering and doughy that i could barely taste the rest of the burgers content. Don't get me wrong, the bun is perfect but i feel its more suited with something sweet. Overall, the burger was average though the onions were tasteless. Pretty disappointed as it was the reason why ordered that specific burger. Will most likely return to try something else.
Prices vary between $11-$15 a burger.
I was really intrigued by this burger joint as some of their offering just wowed me. Not trying to be obnoxious, but they were really good ! Also try their shakes, it's good
Think this may be my new weekly treat! Great burger ... Just the rite size... Last couple of bites where a bit hard to fit in... Don't need to get chips the burger is enough. Staff where friendly. Great music playing.. And nice area to sit outside.
Simply - delicious! Tried the Cajun Chicken, yummy and flavour full and the Cheesy B (so far!). Personally I think that their beef patties are the best I have tried across the burger boom, in Melbourne. Go.
Update: the beast would not be settled so we made our way over today. This time I tried the Fried Onion - Flavour packed and moist, the sweetness from the relish (I assume) was a tad too strong for me, but did not deter me from continuing. A Full Trolley was attempted by my son (12), managing to keep it together proved to be a challenge but the taste was top notch.
We also tried their poutine, very tasty however for the $8.50 price tag, the portion size is small enough to put me off ordering again, shame, if that was improved (or price reduced) it would be a staple each visit.
Had takeaway from here as I was in a rush. Mistake ... It took 20 minutes to get my food and by the time I got back in the car I was half an hour late. Bummer!
But the food was definitely fresh and piping hot. The chips were generously salted. The burger was actually not that big compared to others I've had. It tasted a little sweet but I wasn't able to pinpoint exactly what made it sweet.
Overall it was OK. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here though.
Awesome burgers and the place looks great since its renovations. Highly recommend the fried chicken burger and OMG the milkshakes are incredible. They blend real cake into it!
We went out to Wonky for a feast and that's what we got!! Loaded fries are delightful and the addition of the new fried chicken really rounds of the 3051. Would recommend.
We recently return and nothing has changed! Amazing, very happy with everything.
Excellent sweet potato based vege burger. Didn't lack flavor like a lot of vege burgers tend to. Casual environment with friendly staff. Not too oily.
A really solid burger which makes me a regular. I'd like a bigger serving of chips and have been known to source mine from the competition. The chili burger I find very hard to go past...
Friendly service, cheap grub & grog, quick food & delicious! I love any burger that comes with a buttery brioche bun and the patties were cooked right, rare & juicy. If you are looking for something with a kick, go with the Chili burger that had the succulent fiery jalapenos in it. We even got some ciders, for $6 with an alcohol content of 8%? Whaat!
And who knew you could drink Sticky Date Pudding? These guys made it possible. I think I found a new favourite burger joint. Worth the travel from Hampton!
Quick service and good burgers. Always happy to drop in when I'm on that side of town. The only sad thing is that wo key trolley is so tiny.
A happy medium between an American and Australian burger. Tried the Sunrise on Errol abd the 3051. Good service, will happily be returning to sample some of the other offerings :)
Yum yum yum! Had the 3051 burger and it was very very delicious. Had a bit of spice to it, but just enough for a little bit of kick. Can't wait to return!!
With a name like Wonky Trolley, this North Melbourne establishment seemed fitting seeing as we were off to the Comics Lounge later. With its no frills sterile looking décor, this fast food burger joint lets its food speak for itself, offering both a take-away and an eat in option. To eat I ordered the Cheesy B burger with beef, cheese, pickles, tomato sauce, aioli and American mustard ($9.90) and the poutine ($9). With its beautifully cooked juicy meat patty (slightly pink just the way I like it) and lashings of sauce, the Cheesy B was delicious. It was, however, small and would not be enough to fill someone with a large appetite. Luckily Wonky Trolley offers a double meat patty option for an extra $4.00.
Had the 3051 burger here. The burger had some really nice sauce and the patties were really tasty as well. The chocolate mud milkshake was very tasty as well. Would not recommend the poutine chips here though. They lacked gravy and cheese.
If your looking for a burger that is not off the charts filled with exotic ingredients then you have found your place.
Burgers kept simple but done extremely well, and a place where I will be returning to.
Grab some hot wings and enjoy a version of poutine to go with the the burger of choice and you will walk out happy and content.
Just get the 3051 burger. I added an extra patty & jalepenos. Was in heaven easily inside melbournes top 10 burgers. Supper delicious, cooked well & quick. Winner
Milkshakes are yummy, and so are the burgers. Friendly staff and good environment. I would highly recommend this place to any burger guru. :)
Such a deliciously scrumptious burger and chips ordered at Wonky Trolley tonight! Fantastic ingrediants, fresh and reasonably priced. Try it for yourself! If only they had more outlets around.

Oh boy do I love a good burger, I've been here a few times and never had a bad experience. I recommend asking for extra sauce though. The 3051 is delicious and I've struggled to nit pick and I just can't... Also the wings are a solid side too! Sitting out the front and people watching is my favourite thing to do here... Or as some of the locals of North Melbourne call it. "The Errol Ferals"... If that was a tv show, i'd watch it.
I have been meaning to check out the burgs at @wonky_trolley so went down with the work lads and wasn't disappointed. Juicy double patty and double cheese with a bit of a spice kick in the "wonky" sauce.
I had the 3051 with an extra 2 patties and it was great! The patties had flavour and it did not disappoint! The chips were also cooked to perfection and were tasty and crunchy.
This newish burger joint has been pretty quiet. Large burgers and high end for pricing. You can get a wrap instead of burger for any selection which is beef or chicken. If you're gluten free I would suggest going without bread. The gluten free bun is too heavy, but most are. The lettuce is fresh and bacon grilled just right.
My top 5, one word. delicious! Not busy either, better that way, less waiting time:)
Good! Chips and dips are yum and I haven't had a bad burger yet. Their signature double meat double cheese burger is awesome. Now they are hand pressing their own burger meat it's even better. My only drama is I need 600ml drinks! 350-450mls just doesn't cut it when your eating a burger and chips.
Had dinner here last night for the 1st time. I ordered thr Errol burger and chocolate shake. The burger was very yummy and delicious. The chocolate milkshake was very nice. My partner had the Spencer burger on a red bun and she loved it. She also had the "the real deal Mango" and loved it. We also ordered the curly fries with Aioli sauce. We totally enjoyed our food and of course the staff are very friendly. 10/10.
Victoria often struggles with quality customer service compared to rest of the world, but some places make up for it. Wonky Trolley is one of them.
I've given this place 5 stars for a number of reasons. The welcome, the hygiene, the ambiance, the food and the prices. We didn't plan to sit at this restaurant/cafe as we were undecided, but the warm and welcoming owner/manager greeted us in a very non intrusive and calm manner that we decided to have a bite here. The tables and chairs were clean and the owner ensured they were cleaned further. The location of this cafe is chic and vibrant, again not too much going on but enough for North Melbourne vibe. The prices were very decent and not overly pricey for a family business. The food was delightful with delicate attention to the ingredients and flavours. The portions were wisely planned ensuring minimal food wastage, yet sufficient quantity to overcome the hunger. The veggie bites, onion rings, the dips, and the vegan chicken burger were the ultimate winners with the vegan burger. Using a light pea protein patty rather than a soy protein, a fresh & soft bun, combined with the skill of the cooks resulted in a crispy, airy and delicious burger! I'm surely visiting this place again with more family members and mates.
Update review
We could not resist to have those curly chips again... and the burgers!!!!!
OMG they are sooooo good! There are a big variety of burgers: beef, chicken, vegetarian, vegan... their menu is extensive, the burgers are juicy, fresh with excellent quality ingredients and the service is fantastic.
Oh those curly chips!!!!! check the pictures!
If you have not yet tried them, you MUST! Delicious is the only word that comes to mind. A pack of them with some aioli and there is no way to go wrong. What a beautiful surprise on a quiet afternoon..... Now we are looking forward to come back and try the burgers,
We had chicken schnitzel and Arden burgers. Both were great, the meat patti were juicy and vegetables ingredients were fresh. And the onion rings were amazing! Took home lemon meringue pie and chocolate cake. Yum, not too sweet but flavoursome.
The customer service is immaculate and so personal. As someone with a dairy-intolerance, I felt very welcomed and respected. The service was able to cater for me and provide me with exactly what I asked for. Importantly, the burgers, fries and hash browns were delicious and tasty. Thanks, Wonky Trolley!
I purchased the Victoria Burger for my son. 2 days later my son phoned me and asked me where l got that delicious hamburger from...
Michelle and Jessica are very friendly and welcoming. It's a pleasure to attend Wonky Trolly and enjoy their hospitality.
Drinking Coronas with lime and ice outside under the awning on a hot summers evening is always relaxing and refreshing..
Thank you Michelle and Jessica 🙏🙏🙏🚴🚴🚴👍👍👍👍😋😋😋😋😋🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂
Wonky Trolley is simply brilliant and exudes the charm of Errol Street, North Melbourne. Great food, great service, friendly staff and most importantly an authentic, real burger taste served with care and attention to detail.
The vibe is great, whether you sit inside or outside (Errol street offers great outside protection from sun and/or rain). It’s a really chilled place to watch the world go by.
Lovely schnitzel burger and love the curly fries
