Went to Cafe Eurasia for a coffee and custard tart. The cappuccino was pretty good and so was the tart, friendly service, decent atmosphere / ambience... a nice little place overall.

OK option in tourist town. Having a coffee and brekky sanger at Cafe Eurasia, it struck me that this is what catch-all restaurants looked like before everything got all corporatised. Which has happened more completely in North America and not as much in Australia, thank goodness. Instead of chains like White Spot and Applebee's, Australia still has plenty of places like Cafe Eurasia where they serve a bit of everything -- Anglo-style breakfasts, standard burgers and sandwiches, but cooked-right-there Asian food too. You might not know what you're going to get at a place like this, but I'll take unpredictable novelty over homogenised corporaticity any day. This joint is close to the Spencer Street train station and lots of hotels, so there's a stream of tourists taking a punt on a meal here.

The flat white I had from Eurasia was OK -- not barista quality, but not burnt either. On the mellow side crema-wise, more like a cappucino when it came to the microfoaming. The bacon-and-egg muffin was better than the coffee. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but the gruff Asian guy who seemed to be running the show cooked everything up fresh, so it was hot. I even got a spurt of yolk shooting out of the over-easy egg -- it was like an orange version of something you'd see in a porno -- further proof of the freshness of the sanger. Thank goodness the muffwich was pointed away from me, or I'd be scanning the 'Net for a laundromat.

I often come here for lunch. With only $10 a meal, you can get rice or noodle with 2 choices of disk. Very good cooking quality. A bit more than enough quantity of food as well. If you look for a simple, delicious meal in the city, this is the place to go. It offers one of the best value.

Really enjoyed my meal. Had a bacon and egg croissant and a chai latte. Croissant was very delicious and flaky. Chai was also very tasty. My father had a coffee and the eggs royal, he enjoyed his meal. Cheap, fast and good service. Recommend for a nice relaxed breakfast!

Service was friendly and fast. Quite a big range of breakfast and they have a deal including a large coffee, egg bacon and cheese muffin and a hash brown for $14, really good value, although I had to take one star off because of the coffee; weak and watery.
