Have waited a while but finally got here tonight - was worth it ! Transformed to Greece , welcoming and friendly staff and great variety of choices . Went with lamb souvlaki , Halloumi pack , lattice chips and semolina cake . Everything was cooked to perfection - the meat was filled with flavour and melted in your mouth .The chips crispy and Halloumi with pita and garlic sauce a nice side . Thank you Michael and will be back again to try the Koupes and saginaki chips ! A new favourite .

Hands down the tastiest Greek food I have tasted in as long as I can recall. The souvlaki was flavour packed, with each standalone element delicious in its own right. Even the chips tasted fresh, hot and crisp. We had ours with the feta. Just delicious.

Me and my family ordered lamb souvlaki, chicken and mixed. The meat and bread was really good, we really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

After going there last night and recommend.Myself and partner very disappointed minimal and fatty lamb no flavor and $8 a box of chips half full. I don’t mind paying what they ask but never again sorry just being honest very expensive

I am disgusted to hear that brimbank council knocked back there permit on flood grounds, they should be ashamed of themselves, I will still travel up to hillside for there fantastic food

Halloumi Souva is to die for. I love the food, it's delicious. Friendly service, and such a selection of food. It's up there in price, but IMO well worth the premium as they don't skimp on servings etc. Love it.

Taste of Cyprus souvlaki's are really mouth watering, the meat pieces are really soft and juicy, salad filling is really fresh and the sauces are a really nice too. <br/><br/>We always order the mix souvlaki with all the salad, tzatziki and chilli sauce.On the side we get the beer battered chips with feta...delish!

Stopped in to the Ascot Lot for a Pickle & Patty burger, and was not disappointed by my consolation prize of Taste of Cyprus.<br/><br/>We ordered a mixed (lamb and chicken) souvlaki, and a saganaki souvlaki, with a box of feta-covered beer-battered chips.<br/><br/>The bread was perfect: well toasted but still pliable. The tzatziki was punchy, with a lot of mint. Roquette and cucumber were nice additions to the salad portion in each souvlakia.<br/><br/>We were offered two complementary drinks, but declined.<br/><br/>Would I go again? Certainly. The sign on the van may boast the best souvlaki in Melbourne, but these were definitely some of the best I've had, anywhere, and it's a nice touch to see saganaki and halloumi as options for vegetarians.

Went to try this truck food and was amazed at the freshness and taste of the souvlaki and the 'lightness' of the meal.. tasted the Mousse and the kids loved the Feta Chips and the Nutella (and strawberry) souvlaki!! An absolute must to try.. you definitely won't be disappointed.. Michael and Daniel take great pride in their food and their focus on pleasing their customers is obvious.. We'll be back!!

had the lamb souvi, 5 minutes into eating it on the way home in the car, had to call the mrs n tell her, told all the boyz soon as i got home, first thing!.. i dont write reviews, had to write one for this. The meat was a standout, best i've had in melb n i ain't exaggerating, the marinade they do gives a beautiful clean authentic taste..the bread the ingredients, everything!! thanks boys il be back wit the fam tomorrow

I thought I would give this food truck try tonight because I felt a bit peckish. As soon as I walked up to the truck I asked them if it was real lamb or that processed crap?? He said real & actually showed me the meat he was marinating, so I ask if I could try a small piece of meat? He happily obliged so I ate it & to my surprise it tasted very yummy & packed full of flavour. I think the only improvement that I could think of is the balance needs to be tweaked a little with an additional 10% more meat but for a new place this place is must try if your every in the Essendon DFO area

Ordered the halloumi souvlaki and it was beyond delicious. Also had the cannolis which are not on the menu but the lovely owner told us about them so we had to give them a try and they were just as fantastic as the souvlaki. Incredible customer service and delicious food, what more could you ask for???

I ordered the mix Slovakia and the feta chips, it was absolutely amazing so fresh and full of flavor. The father and son were great to chat to while I waited for my food and cared about what they where preparing. I also highly recommend the ricotta filled cannoli it has to be one of the best ones I've ever had anywhere.<br/>I will definitely be back and trying everything off the menu, such a great place and so friendly.<br/>

First and foremost, YUM!!!! I'd been wanting to get Tatse of Cyprus for a couple months after having driven past it a few times, and it was certainly worth the wait. Given how keen I was to try it, I was worried I'd be disappointed but I was anything but! I had the lamb souvlaki, feta chips, saganaki and nutella mousse, and all were absolutely delicious! It may just be a simple food truck but the staff here really know how to make some high quality food. I'll definitely be going back for more!

Super fresh souvlaki’s with great flavour and friendly staff as well. We went at 12:30am and really enjoyed our meal, nothing else like it in the area.
