"Dosirock" means "lunch box" in Korean - kinda cute but ironic considering how most customers visit to grab soju with friends. Dosirock is known for their signature "Korean Pork Hock Plate" which includes heaps of banchan and spicy buckwheat noodles. We chose "Hot" and "Garlic" flavours with "Oyster Pancake" as a side.
Overall, I loved it here and probably best Korean pork hock I had in Melbourne. Large size (~$40) was big enough to feed 4 & diced pork hock was cooked perfectly - slightly chewy outside but soft and succulent inside. Soju went really well together as it washed down the oilness in your mouth (Pleasantly dangerous as I wanted to drink more and more lol). Spicy buckwheat noodles were also flavoursome and refreshing which complemented the pork hock beautifully. Unfortunately, oyster pancake wasn't that great - sub par. I'd love to try their soy pork belly next time!

Had takeway and they were pretty efficient. Everything was tasty especially the spicy pork hock and bossam. Really authentic flavours! Giving 4 stars cos they forgot to pack me lettuce which was needed in these dishes. I also thought they could've given more ssam ingredients considering the amount of food that was ordered.

Ordered:
Soy Belly & Hock $50 🥩
Sesame Dressing Cold Buckwheat Noodles $10 🍜

Sesame Dressing Noodles 🥗 Absolutely amazing, extreme generous portion of veggies. Felt like the dish was overwhelmed with veggies & for a fitness enthusiast like me, I absolutely loved every bite. Felt so healthy as I felt I barely touched noodles, maybe just a minimal amount. And the sesame dressing, it literally made me fell in love - made me just wanting for more. Although stated on the menu is $19, it actually cost $10.

Dosirock is known for their long hours into the early morning, but also for their jokbal. It is pork trotters, but it's completely de-boned and has a good balance of meat, tendon, collagen and skin. It's braised in a soy stock and slicked thick so you get a good bite when you wrap it up in the perilla leaves or lettuce.

Similarly the pork belly is braised in the same stock and sliced thinly. You can get a platter of half half, which is perfect. Amazing flavours going on there.

Paired with beer and soju, it's a classic Korean fare in an authentic environment.

Also had the tuna rice, which comes with seaweed, mayo and a whole bunch of other ingredients. Gloves are provided so you can mix it all up and roll them into balls.

Amazing food, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here!

Came here on a late Friday night and the food was yum! The atmosphere was quite chill and cozy, staff quick and friendly.
We've had the pork belly and the braised kimchi stew. Both dishes were so tasty. The kimchi soup was my favorite, it actually was homemade kimchi, loads of it. So flavorful! Prices are reasonable too.
Looking forward to coming back here!

I think the best Jockbal is Dosirock in Melbourne!
I ordered two kinds of garlic and hot flavors, that taste was really great.
When you want to have a Jokbal, make sure to go here! The meat is so fresh and delicious, staffs are kind. Strongly recommended.

One of my favourite korean restaurant on King Street.

We ordered large size half half pork hock (soy and cold) flavours, fried mackerel, sesame leaves and potato pancake, gyeran mari(egg rolls), bossam, and spicy buckwheats cold noodle.

It was my first time tried their cold pork hock. Soy is always the flavour I go to. Cold pork hock is served with buckwheats noodle salad as well. Other dishes were awesomely good as well, only their bossam let me down.

Overall, I had a good experience there.

Will I be back? Sure thing!

This eatery is located in the westend part of the city with an ever growing list of Korean restaurants and slowly becoming Melbourne's Little korea. We were greated by very friendly wait staff and the menu displayed so much choice. We ordered to share and started with the Soy Belly which was outstanding and was served with lettice, kimchee, onion and pickled daikon. This dish is an absolute must! Another absolute must is the fried chicken, we went for half original and half hot and spicy with that classic hot sweet sticky Korean sauce. The chicken was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside and so finger licking good and for $34 your basically getting two whole chickens. The seafood pancake was also very good. Don't be concerned by the high prices because the serves are massive and every main feeds two to three people.

Dosi-Rocks! My first time eating here and can say that I have discovered a new favourite go to spot. Succulent, juicy soy pork belly accompanied with a generous serving of noodles and salad for a very cheap price. Oh how I crave for this again as I write this review.

First time having jokbal (pork hock) and it was everything I thought it would be. I don’t know about authentic, but it was delicious.

I thought the serving size was definitely worth the money. We got the buckwheat noodles ($10) and the soy belly and pork hock ($43) to share among 3 people. My friend and I were very very full afterwards though not my boyfriend (because his stomach is a bottomless pit) but he left feeling satisfied and decently full. I think we could have shared among 4 or 5 people and go for dessert feeling less stuffed. You definitely want to come here with at least 3 people!

Also, despite the fact we were eating a lot of fatty bits and collagen, I think the side dishes and the noodles balanced things out nicely because we didn’t feel greasy or like jelat (sick of it). The pork belly had a lot of fat and we preferred the pork hock just because the fat to meat ratio was perfect. The meat was tender and flavourful enough that it wasn’t too salty with the sides.

In the end we paid only $47 ish because we paid in cash! So bring cash and you get 10% off your bill!

I have been here many times with my friend. The restaurant makes me feel like we are in Korea! It is so korean! We always order their signature dish- pork belly, if you love fatty pork belly - this place is your heaven! You have to try it! So yum! We also love their kimchi soup! Just so good.

Recommend you to have fruit flavour sake with your meal! You will enjoy it even more

Unfortunately a slimmer menu during lunch time, fortunately however they had a soup item for me, soondubu jjigae. The broth was bleeding red and looked really spicy but was deceptively mild. You've got a variety mushrooms, silky tofu, slices of pork and egg. The broth however was a bit too salty but manageable.

They also do their popular soy pork belly for lunch also which looked pretty delicious. It's a very affordable Korean eatery, especially when they take 10% off the meal if you pay in cash.

Ordered the bossam and jokbal (I forgot the English words for this lol) with spicy cold noodles set and spicy seafood soup with udon on UberEats. Everything was packaged nice and securely. The meat was super tender and juicy. The soup was seasoned perfectly and not too spicy (although I really love spicy food). Definitely will order delivery again since I don’t really like the physical restaurant all too much because it’s quite small and crowded, however I’ve only been for drinks so the atmosphere is probably different during other times of the day.

One of the best Korean restaurants that serve good food and have a friendly service! They open till late as well so you can always have a Korean night fix at 2am in the morning. I would definitely recommend the Fried Korean chicken in Soy Garlic or if you're like my boyfriend who prefers a bit of spice, order the chilli version. I would also recommend Sundubu jjigae!! It's one of my go to soups here.

If your looking for delicious pork belly and pork hock then this is the place to go! Unlike your usually korean bbq Dosirock serves the most tender boiled pork belly.

We ordered the platter with both pork hock and pork belly and for an extra $10 you can add a noodle salad which is more than enough for 3-4 people.

Ordered my food on menulog after another restaurant cancelled my delivery order an hour after expected time... I didn’t have much hope when I made my order, but i was surprised by the quality and quantity of food. I was in Korea last year for a food trip, this is authentic quality compared to what I had while I was overseas.

It’s above average compared to most Korean restaurants in Melbourne, but it’s not the best I’ve had.

Hidden gems of authentic korean restaurant.
I had hock and soy pork in Korea. Even there, it was hard to find a restaurant that serve this menu.

Came across Dosirock and damn! It was even nicer than the one in Korea.

If you are a first timer, I recommend to try both the hock and soy pork. They provide a set menu that come with these two items. Beware that the portion is pretty big, best shared among 5-6 people.

Kimchi pork belly soup was spot on, but the soup was not boiling hot when it get to our table (Make sure you ask them to heat it up if this also happens to you). But really, full of taste, and portion was generous considering the price. It makes about 6 rice bowl if you are sharing.

They have selection of beers too.
Sides was nice as well.
Will definately come back to this place.

A group of us ate here on a hot & sticky Saturday night. Fortunately they had the air-con, and numerous fans on, but it still got pretty hot and sticky in here, especially as it got more crowded!

Great food, and as we shared everything, it wasn't too expensive overall.
Between 7 people we had the pork hock, fried chicken, stir-fried ox liver, vegetable pancake, cheesy corn (apparently it's an Asian thing. a bit odd for the Westerners in the group!) kimchi soup and another spicy tofu soup. Bill came to about $25 per person

Service was good (there is a bell on the wall for each table) and the food came out quickly.

As we were leaving, I noticed that every single table had a plate of the pork hock. Definitely the dish to order!!!

Ordered pork belly and hock, kimchi and fish cake from UberEats.
Fish cake is good but a little for me.
The dish includes one box of belly and one box of hock. They come with some sides and sauces like fish cake, kimchi, radish, salad and onion.
I would say it goes beyond my expectations.

Yum! try the pork and the tofu with kimchi. That's all i've tried but the pork was so moist and delicious. Home made kimchi was just so good I couldn't eat my usual kimchi from the Korean store after that. Not sure if they already have it on the menu and I missed it for some reason, but I wish they could do the normal oyster bossam. It is not to hard to find it in Sydney but I struggle to find it in Melbourne. Happy to try their other dishes... delivery was super quick too. So impressed!!

Came here for dinner on a Thursday. The place is really cozy and the staff were friendly. It is a good place a for a romantic dinner. However they need to invest in better lighting as I was struggling to see the menu. The food was good but not amazing. The portions are large. I came with 3 others and ordered 2 dishes which was just right. The fried chicken that we ordered was quite soggy and there was little flavour to it, so avoid ordering it. This place opens til late so I would recommend it if you're craving for korean.

Ordered Jokbal and Guksu for dinner!

The Jokbal was cooked beautifully and also the guksu! Finished the jokbal in a sec and realized we were still not full.

Ordered small size of bossam for the next round. Bossam was cooked beautifully too. But prefer the Jokbal for the next visit.

Guksu also tasted delicious and the flavour was infused beautifully.

The only cons things were there was no leaves to wrap the jokbal and bossam and the side dished were not variative.

Highly recommended for korean food lovers

First impression was the deco and the atmosphere. It has that casual-midnight-pub feel to it rather than a typical Korean restaurant in Melbourne but that's what I really like about it. Very different and interesting. My friend and I ordered the soy pork & hock set as well as stir-fried potato noodle with beef and vegetables. The noodle was chewy (how it supposed to be) and flavourful. But I guess the most exciting thing was the pork. It was huge! The meat was really tender and tasty. Normally, I'm not a big fan of pork skin but the way it was done here actually made it quite tolerant. Very friendly and attentive staff. One thing that perhaps bothers me a little is that it will leave a rather strong food smell on your clothes because the restaurant is kinda stuffy. So, I'll make sure I wear something that is "smell-proof" next time. Oh, and no photo for this one because I didn't remember until there's nothing left.

For Pork Lovers!! This place is heaven for you ! Yes, their specialist menu is hock and pork belly. (The menu in zomato is not up to date). I went here with my friend. We ordered cheese spicy level 1 hock (medium) and a meal set menu of pork belly ($20). It is a lot of pork ! The portion is so huge that we are overwhelmed by it. The environment is good and it feels like you're in Korea (almost everyone is Korean in the restaurant). Furthermore, you have to be patient with the waitress. They don't speak English fluently (#tips: to minismise the chance of ordering wrong food, point out the dishes that you wanted to the waitress). Overall, everything was good. Maybe i will try their soup next time. Cheers ! 🎉

The food here is soooo delicious! I wonder why I've never heard about this place before. It's certainly underrated on here. It's always busy so be prepared to wait if you go on weekends and peak times. Had the medium pork hock and kimchi pancake and left happy and full. The pork hock is definitely a must-try and best to be enjoyed hot as soon as it is served. Kimchi pancake is also very tasty and a bit different to the same old taste you get at other Korean restaurants. The moment you put it into your mouth after dipping it into the sauce is just... indescribably satisfying. Their banchan (small side dishes) are also quite nice and they offer to refill when they see that you have finished them.

Great late night Korean. Highly Recommended. I work late in the CBD, and i have sampled a lot of the late-night Korean spots. Dosirock is, in my opinion, the best in Melbourne.
Open until 4am, Dosirock has a very large menu with prices starting at about $10 for a meal, ranging all the way up to banquet style dishes for groups. I usually order the least expensive dishes, and i have never been disappointed at dosirock. The food is A+

Teddy, whose face is on the logo for dosirock, is always very friendly, giving me some information about the very popular korean alcohol named Soju and other korean drinks.

I am usually amongst the only group of westerners at Dosirock when i bring friends (which is a testament to the quality of the Korean food), but Teddy and the staff always make me feel welcome.

Highly Recommended
