Review Buenos Dias - Melbourne

Brodie Lynch
Enjoyed a wonderful brunch here with friends on a Saturday morning. The food is fresh and tasty and the service is super friendly - highly recommend this great spot. My only regret was being so full from brunch that I was unable to partake in one of the amazing treats on display. The muffins came out of the oven while we were there and the amazing scent that filled the cafe literally paused our conversation. Looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent coffee and food!!! The Huevos Pericos con arepa and the Plátano maduro con bocadillo y queso are great!!!! All dishes are beautifully served and the natural juice size is generous. They also serve tamales in special days. I have to go back and try the Calentao amd the rest of he menu. 🖤

Perfect for a brunch inspired by Latin American cuisine. Amazing food, friendly staff and nice environment. Highly recommended.

AMAZING breakfast, good prices/portions and lovely staff. I'll definitely be back.

Delish authentic food and drinks. Make sure you try their homemade sauce! Will definitely be back.

Bit dissapointed the staff wouldn't give me the burgers as a take away, not sure how hard it could possibly be to put it in a paper bag... The place itself looked nice and the food did smell good! Shame I didn't have enough time to eat in. Update: ate in, the food was delicious however I wouldn't describe it as authentic. It's a nice, chill westernized Latino brunch spot. Bit pricey for what you get as well. The staff was pleasant and nice but once again, they didn't really have the Latino vibe you'd find at a place like Los Latinos.

Amazing place! The staff is super friendly and the place has good coffee and delicious food. Also, the menu really stands out as it turns South American classics in great Australian brunch meals.

Staff were super lovely and the menu offers a great range of Latin American flavours. Food delivered on taste, and leave room for alfajores 😍

I discovered this cafe on Groupon before realising it was a 10 minute walk from my house. I was warmly greeted by the waiter/barista who made me a great soy flat white and chatted to me about how tricky it is to make one without the milk splitting. He also accomdated my request to swap the toast on the big veg brekkie for arepas, one of my favourite carbs. The meal itself left a little to be desired. I wish it had some cracked pepper, and the veg were too oily for my liking. I also realised after the fact that the chef forgot the beans, which probably would've added the flavour the dish was lacking. I didn't really need them considering how full I was after that meal, but still a bit disappointed I missed out. I also think a cheese arepa would've been better with the dish, but I was given a plain one.

Despite these concerns, I can't fault Buenos Dias too much. As a Latin person, I'm constantly seeking new Latin restaurants in Melb. They're hard to come by here and I want to support any that exist. Secondly, the staff were super friendly here which also encourages me to give them the benefit of the doubt. I believe this cafe is still pretty new, and they're only open Fridays and weekends. Hopefully with a few tweaks and some more recognition, they can thrive.

Friendly staff and a really nice feel to the place. The menu has enough on offer but not so much you're overwhelmed. Both our dishes were great. The salsa verde was the bomb.

This place is great in that it offers a bit of variation from the standard 'brunch' menu, and it was nice to see some of my favourite South American foods on the menu. I enjoyed my meal (Heuvos Pericos) but it could have done with a bit more flavour. My friend said her food was really good. Coffee was terrific.
The service also let the side down a bit - the staff were friendly but forgot my order.
The ambiance was nice and overall we enjoyed ourselves.

Buenos dias buena comida! Haha. Okay so I Google Translated that, have forgotten what little Spanish I’d learnt. 🤣
Buenos dias know how to host and feed their guests!! ! Beautiful cafe in Carlton North, wonderful outdoor seating for this amazing summer, and truly delicious fare and exotic juices.

Destined to be a true local in these premises! They even have Inca Kola for those who want to reminisce about South American travel days. 💙
Buenos dias in Carlton North is the brainchild of three Latin Americans with a passion for food, coffee and the vibrant Latino culture. ¡Buenos días! means 'good morning’ and is a common and happy phrase used across Latin America where children grow up being taught to say good morning to all they meet or simply pass along the street.

Buenos Dias Cafe is a welcome addition to the ever growing Melbourne cafe scene. By going back to their roots, owners Nicolas Aristizabal, Sebastian Jimenez and Head Chef Andres Bejarano have brought to life a fun and welcoming slice of Latin American culture to the heart of Carlton North.

We love this place. Great coffee, awesome food, unpretentious staff and low key vibe. Lots of work has gone into each plate and its so nice to see, given I find most breakfast places just are not worth the price... this place is the complete exception! Please don't change!

Colombian cuisine served with a smile. Popped in here on a sunny weekend, enjoyed lazing in the
well set out outdoor seating area.
Everything here is home made with ingredients imported from South America.
The wait staff starts off (with a huge smile) explaining their favourites and items off the menu.
We opted for freshly squeezed juices (served with either milk or water), and the pulled pork special.
Finished off with their biscuits (I can't remember what they were called, but an excellent recommendation from Their staff
Nutella (white) and Dulce De Leche (brown).

Will I go back : yes
Reminder to self: take a photo of the menu next time

Buenos Dias! We could all do with a cheerful greeting every morning. What better way to start the day than with a good breakfast too? The three owners of the newly opened Buenos Dias are passionate about sharing the food and coffee of their home countries with us. On the menu they’ve chosen to feature dishes from a variety of Latin American cuisines, the

Buenos Dias is a Latin American café in Carlton. If you’re looking for a different style of brunch, with a bit more Latin American flavour, this ones for you. They make a their own chorizo, sauces, salsas and dulce de leche caramel in-house which keeps the flavours authentic. At Buenos Dias you can still have your smashed avo or your poached eggs with salmon, but with a wonderful Latin American twist.

Thankful for social media or I would of never found out about this place. This cafe is a breath of fresh air to Melb cafe scene! Go here if you want hearty flavoursome food without the pretentious vibe you might get at some places! The staff are lovely so welcoming and service is prompt! I hope more Latin American food options get added onto the menu. That the standard stayed up there. Look forward to returning ✌️

Fantastic addition to the Melbourne brunch scene. A South American twist to the brunch fare which only add more depth colour and variety to the scene. Sous vide eggs were precious. Flavour twists to typical dishes just makes the menu nice and interesting. Still a work in progress but this new kid on the block is off to a good start with passionate owner and very attentive staff.

Such a warm and inviting atmosphere with a unique and delicious offering of foods that Melbourne sometimes lacks. Particularly love the freshness and homemade taste of everything, juices especially!

Had to check out the dog friendly outdoor area; it's perfect. The food itself is incredible, and they even made some puppicinos for my sausage dogs. Thanks heaps to the staff - definitely one of the best kept secrets in Melbourne right now.

This place does bring us to South America. The lively ambience, the friendly and bubbly staffs, the strong Huila blend coffee and the authentic SA food. Really enjoyed the experience. Come here if you want a slightly different brunch place. It surely will give you a different start of the day.

Found this hidden gem recently - a true asset to Melbourne's thriving brunch scene. A lot of unique and delicious menu options that you don't find anywhere else due to the South American influence. the slow cooked beef is one of my favorites. Oh and perfect "Melbourne" coffee too. will visit again.

Great place to have the perfect coffee pair with delicious food. Buenos Dias, is the perfect place to enjoy food that combines Latin flavors with Aussie style. The scrambled eggs with arepa and the alfajores are my favorites, the best I have tried so far. This place offers great service without a doubt, great option for Sunday's brunch.

Highly recommend it !!

Love this place. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the huevos pericos with arepa, everything was great (even took photos so we could try to replicate at home). I have to say that the food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it.
