I’ve been to Lilong a few times and every time it was always a pleasant dining experience. Lilong specialised in Shanghainese cuisine and I’ve tried a variety of their dishes; the spring onion pancake, crispy milk dough and dumplings were my favourites. Service was relatively friendly and super quick. The venue was modern and pretty cozy. Looking forward to the reopening of this eatery.
Manager Elaine is very friendly, food is great! Staffs are accommodating
Service is good, and staff are friendly too, especially Elaine.
One of the legit shanghainese joints. Ordered the cage free chicken with scallion, crispy milk buns and the black pepper and teriyaki Wagyu beef, all dishes were delicious 😋 the chicken was super cold though (it is a cold dish) but to the point where the oil was solidified, but otherwise it tasted really yum, the beef was sauteed to medium rare with made the texture just perfect, the milk buns were amazing with condensed milk 👌🏻also got the watermelon frappe for $5 if you spend over $15

A pretty casual Chinese eatery in Melbourne Central. It was quite spacious, though when it gets busy sometimes it's hard to call a staff.
The eggplant claypot was pretty generous, while in terms of flavous it's bit spicy, sweet and sour which I liked.
Veg dumplings wasn't as good though, bit bland and skin was bit thick.
Pecking duck took a while to come but it was pretty good. The duck was roasted beautifully with no apparent fouling smell and crispy skin. The wrap could be better and also they kind of stick to one another.
Overall a pretty good chinese eatery in the city, though could get bit pricy.
Actually. I don’t think it’s authentic Shanghai food. A little bit salty and oily. Fried rice is the best.
Nice restaurant above the food court at Melbourne Central. One of the best dumplings we have had in Melbourne and each and every dish is delicious. Service could be a bit better, specially with the mains served before starters was very disappointing.
Brilliant!!!!!!Xiaolongbao is soooooooo juicy!!!!!!!!!
I really love this restaurant! They serve wide varieties of food and all of them are delicious! My fav is the king prawn with salted egg. The service was also very good. Definitely will come back here
Wide variety of menu and reasonable price
This is my second visit and I am always happy with their foods and service. Each and every dish is full of flavour! The staffs were very helpful as well and gave the best advices. My fav dish: king prawn with salted egg yolks. All in all, Lilong is really recommended!!
It’s a Shanghai style restaurant. All dishes are recommended. As a Chinese, I think most dishes are tasty.
Best bamboo shoot in town 🤤🤤
Very delicious traditional Chinese food !
The fisf and dumplings are perfect!
Great food, Great service. I can recommend the Peking Duck and chicken fried rice was the best.
Delicious food as always.
I have been here for couple of times. The food is yum
Clean restaurant on the upper level of Melbourne Central. Quite quiet when I went, but overall nice venue with decent staff and service.
Xiao Long Bao 3.5/5 - skin was a little thicker than I usually prefer for XLB but overall was enjoyable. Meat had good flavour and texture inside, good amount of juice splattering out. Good temperature and not over steamed.
Sweet Sour Pork 4/5 - sauce was nice and sour with a hint of sweetness that balanced the dish. The pork was not overly fatty but wasnt tough either with just a good amount of batter. Portion could be a little bigger but overall enjoyable.
Watermelon Juice 3/5 - refreshing and ordered no sugar, and while the server was afraid we would think itll be tasteless, the watermelon had it's natural sweetness and was not diluted by the ice and water. Overall not bad but also nothing too special.
Spring Onion Pancake 3.5/5 - slightly oily but reminiscent of authentic flavours. Well battered and good amount of spring onion taste.
Overall enjoyed my meal here. Got the groupon set meal deal which was quite reasonable and they didnt really cheap out on the food nor was the quality absent. Would like to come back and try their other dumplings.
terrific, very goodshangHaifa of I like it very much People often say that a dog is man's best friend. Over thousands of years, man has taught his dogs to do many kinds of work besides guarding the home. For example, sheepdogs are famous for their ability to control a flock of hundreds of sheep
very good taste for xiaolongbao,i pretty like this one.
Very yumzzzz, it’s my second time here. It will never disappoint you.
Tasty food. Great space to share meals!

Really friendly service and environment, really liked the food here and the environment is also really nice
Bamboo shoot soup slightly too salty.
The rest are very well seasoned.
Definitely coming again.
Very good Shanghai place. The salty chicken is impressive and tender. The xiaolongbao taste really good. The vegetarian dumplings is tasty. Plus the environment and service, will strongly recommend here and will come back next time.
Come with friends for her birthday! Very delicious dishes. And we will definitely come back next time. I will give six stars if there have six. Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Very tasty and traditional Shanghai dishes! The service is great and atmosphere is fantastic. The only downside is the food size is not big enough for tables more than 4 people, I wish I can eat more hahahahaha! Anyway, will visit again!
I have been here several times, all the dishes were so amazing and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Worth it try :)
Decent food, warm services, nice experiences with my friends. THX a lot. Cheers!
This is a good place to try Shanghai style food. I like the sweet and sour fish the most, also recommend Shanghai style fish and Xiaolong soup bao. The service is also good.
delicious food,kind staffs,relaxing atmosphere!
Love how spacious and clean the restaurant. Service was fast. Ordered yangchou fried rice, stirfry noodle and pork with chives boiled dumpling. I enjoyed the dishes very much.
Will I be back? Yes
This new restaurant in Melbourne Central is located on second floor right next to Hours ticket booth. The variety of food are extensive ranging from dumplings to main dishes. The dumplings are plump and juicy. The stir fry pork was tasty and nothing is too spicy. They also have alcoholic drinks like beer and wine.
I thought overall it was very flavorful and tasty. I actually wasnt a fan of the dumplings because I thought the texture wasn't good compared to other places and there was little soup inside. However, I liked everything else! Definitely one of the better places in Melbourne Central!
Was reccommended to try this restaurant by friends. There was a short wait time before we were seated. The stand out dish was the xiao long bao. The soup and the filling was delicious. I would also highly suggest the seafood vermicelli in caserole. The Shanghainese mooncake was savoury and was a pleasant surprise. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Booked a table via the app. A booking confirmation was received, however the staff didn’t have a record of the booking in their books when we went so I would recommend confirming with the restaurant/book via other means. Luckily it wasn’t busy so they were able to push tables together, although it was difficult to eat at a long rectangular table rather than a circle table given the group size. Food wise it was great - definitely recommend the xiao long bao and Shanghai-style pan fried dumplings. The sweet and sour barramundi looked excellent in the menu but was visually underwhelming in reality unfortunately, although it still tasted good! Overall experience was great and I’ll be returning for the dumplings!
I came here with a group of friends for lunch and it was not so busy here. The staff are friendly. We ordered a lot of food and some of them tastes so good. I feel like the vege here is not as good as we expected but all the meat dish are sooo good!

Taste is pretty good. I came here with Groupon so i dont have much selection. I decided to order Xiao Long Bao, and Honey Chicken. They gave me option for drinks as well which is pretty fine.
In addition, the staff here is pretty friendly and the environment here is pretty good.
the sizzling Mongolian lamb will have to be hands down, my favourite dish here. Thumbs up to the chef for the excellent dish and the professionalism of the waitress. Will give other dishes a try as well.
I Absolutely love their lunch specials. For it's price, you get a good portion and comes along with a can of drink.Highly recommended the pork belly and lion head lunch set! Will try other dishes on the menu too.
I've been to Shanghai a few times and am always on the look out for authentic local food. Lilong at Melbourne Central came really close and food was delicious. Really glad I gave this place a go.
Walked past this place a few times and it is always packed during dinner time. It wasnt until I tried the dishes myself that I understood why! I ordered some of the dim sums on the menu and they are so delicious!
