Arshee is the best.
Love it. So crunchy and juicy. Now added to my local favourite locals. Better than any other fast food chicken. Great portions as well. You won't be disappointed. A must try.
Tries the Wednesday special deal. The food and service is fantastic. If you are looking to have some great fried crispy chicken this is a must visit place. The fries and chicken are lipsmacking. Do try a variety of dished it's gonna be worth it.

These folk were under the pump on the night of Anzac Day, and still, they managed their service with a smile. We ordered a Big Box to takeaway and it was well worth the long wait.
All of their chicken pieces were perfectly succulent and subtly spiced, while the batter was remarkably crispy and light.
A large portion of moreish shoestring fries was included. To top it off, their honey mustard sauce was outstanding with just the right amount of heat and a great tang that made the fried chicken sing on the tastebuds.
Two of us shared the box and still had enough leftover for another meal. Simply great value. I would have taken off a star for the waiting time, but the flavour, crispiness and portion size was faultless.
We washed it all down with an ice-cold beer. This fried chicken is truly one of the joys of life.

If you want fried chicken as it's meant to be done. Come here. The owner puts a lot of effort and pride into his shop,service and food, and you can tell from the food itself.
The quality of the chicken used is great and it comes out so fresh that you have to wait a few minutes for it to cool down. It's very crispy and not greasy or heavy so you won't feel like crap after.
Overall great quality food with a high value for money.
We wanted to support a local business instead of heading to KFC as usual so decided to give Arshee a try. OMG the chicken was so juicy and crunchy and perfectly matched the honey mustard sauce. Chips were well seasoned too, though a little undercooked for our liking. We will definitely be back!
Best fried chicken in melb!!!! Ordered are made to order so there's abit of a wait. Maybe around 20 mins. But it's totslly worth it. Super crunchy yet juicy. I usually hate chicken breast and it's always dry. But at Arshee's I prefer the breast as it's super juicy and tender. Fried are also crunchy with nice chicken salt seasoning. I always go at lunch time which is more quiet compared to dinner.
Best fried chicken I've ever had hands down. Amazing freshness and quality. The owner is also super nice because he added extra pieces of chicken if he thinks some are too small. The fries are also so nice (better than a lot of the fast food chains). It's slender and the perfect texture. Will always be coming back for more!
All I can say is WOW! I felt like fried chicken, I googled fried chicken, and this place came up as the closest to my house, so I gave it a shot. I was no disappointed. I ordered the Zinger burger and a couple pieces on the side, and the moment I knew this was a winner was the first bite I took oit of that burger. Succulent, juicy breast, crispy lettuce, good amount of sauce, and soft bun. I was not expecting that! 10/10 best burger of its makeup that ive had ever! The McChicken or any KFC burger is filth compared to this. Never spend your money elsewhere if you're looking for a burger like this and you're even remotely close to the area. I'm so happy I found this place. The outer eastern suburbs needed this.
Each order is cooked fresh so I'd recommend ordering in advance as there can be a wait. Reasonably priced and not too oily, but could probably do with a little more seasoning. Order came with a honey mustard sauce which was welcome, and the shoestring style chips were pretty good.
A hidden takeaway it’s easy to miss it. We ordered two burgers and wings. Easily the most tender, crunchy chicken I’ve ever had. It’s all cooked fresh and when ordered. The only flaw would be either extra seasoning or spice on the chicken but other than that it was such a pleasure to eat!

Service took awhile but that’s because they do not cut corners in cooking what I feel is the best fried chicken I’ve tasted in Melb thus far. Kudos to the management team!

A word of warning ... they are not open on Mondays ... and highly addictive.
Not much as far as the venue goes, it's a take away join ... be ready to wait, as they are freshly made, around 20 minutes.
Have it there is probably the best option, well battered, sh, crispy and juicy.
Better, buy a few, take them home, use your air fryer for 5 minutes as they are just a good ... perfect companion for beers, wines and AFL or rubbish on TV like MAFS is perfect.
Thank God for operators like Arshee who strives to provide better fried chicken options in Melbourne.

The most crispy and deliciously fresh chicken. Love the taste. The place can accomodate few people. Definitely recommend for chicken craving.
Came here on Easter Sunday (and they were open?!?) and got the 5 piece deal for $13.95. The chicken was the most crispy chicken we’ve ever had! Moist in the middle too! The only reason they lost a star for me is because the chicken is under seasoned and didn’t really have any detectable salt, aromatics or herb flavour. Will definitely be back, a million times better than KFC!

They fry the chicken on demand and so doesn’t have soggy chicken for customers.

I have been intrigued by Arshee Fried Chicken of Blackburn for some time. Amazing fried chicken photos on IG so we order some via Uber eats for our Netflix Saturday night. We ordered the Big Box which contained 6 wings, nuggets , tenders, Coleslaw and chips plus sauces. They must have been busy tonight because it took a while for deliver and when it did arrive they left a note saying they had sold out of coleslaw so sent an extra two pieces of chicken ... they must have sold out of wings too because it was full sized portions instead!!! Bonus !!!! Far too much crispy fried chicken for two so we will no doubt have chicken tomorrow too. The tenders were supersized and the nuggets of real chicken breast were about 4 times your typical nugget size. Super value and super delicious. Chips needed a bit more seasoning but were shoestring and crispy. What a feed.
Event Caterering Review: I had to order food at an event for about 60 people and we gave Arshee fried chicken a try, since the rates were ŕeasonable and people were bored with the regular kfc. We ordered a many Big Boxes and the chicken was just amazing. Its juicy, crispy, tasty, light and not too oily. I got at least 10 people who came up to me and said that they just loved the food. Jalil the owner was extremely friendly and accommodating for my requirements and took the huge order at a very short notice. Overall, I could not have asked for better experience.
Blink and you might miss this unassuming shop. I decided to try the fried chicken after reading so many rave reviews. Verdict? Very impressed! All chicken is freshly fried upon ordering, and can take a bit of a wait.
The crunch as you bite into the skin and the taste of the succulent chicken and it’s spices make the wait worthwhile. Pleasantly surprised.
Fried chickens were really tasty and not oily like other places. The only downside is the wait time. I called up to order and it took 45 mins due to how busy they were. Though it was worth the wait as the chickens are prepared on order. Craving for it again and can’t wait to return!

Tucked away in the suburbs is an underrated looking shop that dishes out freshly fried crispy chicken.
Had a takeaway order of the royal combo, which comes with 3 pieces of fried chicken, 1 small chips and a drink. As a fan of dark meat, I went with 3 thigh pieces and they were happy to oblige. Chicken is cooked to order for that warm and fresh bite.
A common theme with takeaway fried battered food is when the takeaway box or container is not ventilated or even if it's ventilated, they get soggy, nobody wants a soggy fried chicken.
Arrived home and took a bite, I was extremely impressed with how crispy the fried chicken was despite the journey. Original flavour is what best describes the taste of this classic fried chicken. Batter was thinly coated all round with no excess batter giving you that false bite of flour. It was really crispy around the whole chicken piece, even til the last piece. You know sometimes when you work your way to the last piece, you find the side of the chicken that was leaning against the takeaway box soggy due to the steam and lack of ventilation? Non of that here.
For a basic fries it was pretty good, no complaints. The takeaway came with a serving of mustard/honey mustard sauce. Choice of drinks extend to fruit juice too which is refreshing.
I love this place! The chicken isn't heavy or salty at all, unlike most other chicken joints. Instead, it is well marinated and juicy. The prices are good too, much better value than KFC, Gami, Nene etc. The owners are super kind and attentive - the brought us the right number of wet towels and napkins. Overall, this place impressed me, despite appearances.
P.S. make sure you call up and place your order because they fry upon order and that can take 15 mins.

Finally there is a specialty fried chicken place in the southeast suburb!! The others are so far away like in Elsternwick or St Kilda. Awesome food! Will definitely come back again!! The big box is the most worth it

Holy crap this place does good fried chicken. Real chicken, nuggets are actual chicken breast pieces, and the chicken pieces are huge and crunchy and delicious. We are addicted to this place! So fresh and good quality. Also, the owners are a lovely couple and really could charge more for such an awesome product. All round this is a great family run shop and we will keep coming back!
Best fried chicken in town! The chicken are so fresh and juicy, not oily and also very crispy. The batter is not thick like kfc so we dont feel sick afterwards. Will difinitely come back to support the local business!
I saw this place driving along Canterbury road. I love fried chicken so put this place immediately in my bucket list. We ordered the box which had fried chicken pieces, nuggets and tenders. They cooked to order so there was a bit of wait. On the plus side the chicken were hot and crunchy with light batter. The chicken were still juicy and flavoursome. The nuggets were unlike the nuggets from KFC or McDonalds. They were delicious juicy chunks of chicken meat on a skewer. The coleslaw, mustard sauce and tomato sauce were great. The only downside were the chips which were not crunchy. Overall a great fried chicken and I will be back but definitely will ring my order ahead.
Was admittedly surprised by this place. Didn’t even know it existed, but the chicken here was pretty tasty (particularly the drumsticks and wings), and was well accompanied by the sauces.
Make sure stop and grab a box! From the outside you wouldn't expect much. Build like an old school fish and chip shop / roast chicken venue but the quality of the chicken coming out of here is rediculious! No better option in Blackburn, that's for sure!
Checked this place out on a whim. Like I told the wife, "I have a good feeling about this." Had to wait for about 15 minutes because their delivery orders were backed way up, but man did this fried chicken deliver. Had the three piece box and it was all good. Fresh and right off the fryer, flavoursome, not too oily. Coleslaw was pretty good too. If I had to be picky, the portions were a little too small so if you're feeling hungry, definitely go for the five piece box.
Will definitely return when I'm in the area.

Was keen to try this place after it popped up in the area, pleasantly surprised. Fried chicken was juicy and batter had a nice mix of spices in it & not greasy like KFC. Chips were also cooked fresh. Price is also pretty reasonable for what you get, will be back
The food was great and the service with a smile was very pleasant, the wait was maybe a little long but that's the price you pay for good freshly cooked food, will definitely have again.
Friendly staff and very clean and new. My husband was desperate to have fried chicken yesterday so we try this new place. My husband had 3p chicken and coleslaw and chips which he loved. I had chicken burger and it was very big but chicken wasn't oily and greasy. It was very crispy and juicy and chips was french fried which was very nice.

And the fried chicken is like kfc coating but not as salty and oily so that’s a plus! Yummy moist chicken and fries are good too. The salad may need a dash more sauce a bit dry. Asiatic-style fried chicken - crunchy and tender, hint of curry spices in the skin. Comes served with mustard-style sauce and coleslaw - very Korean! Not quite up to Gami or NeNe's standard, but for what you pay its far better bang for your buck! Received an extra wing in my Wing Pack, so I'm coming back
Have been eyeing on every time drive past the shop, waiting for them to open for a while. Finally they are her, so we decided to give them a try. The fried chicken was beyond expectation. Skin was crispy, not too oily, flavour was good too. Will definitely become a regular. The staff was quite friendly, strongly recommend.
Friendly people behind the counter and the food was excellent. The chicken was perfectly cooked with a crunchy coating that adds deapth to the flavour. Best of all was the price. Great value.

Finally the place opened, I’ve been waiting for almost three months. The fried chicken is crispy, tender and juicy. Fresh, airy, authentic - those are the qualities of their fried chicken. In the middle of KFCs, Red Roosters & Nene Chicken chains if you are looking for something different from the local business then this place is a must. Coming back again!
We got the big box (6 pieces of generous size fried chicken, 6 nuggets, 3 tenders and 2 regular chips) and this was definitely more than enough for 2 people. I will add the fried chicken does have some spices in the batter which I'm not the biggest fan of but the fried chicken is sooo crispy. The chips were cooked and seasoned perfectly.
If you are looking for a 50’s style authentic diner food experience, then this is the place. The chicken was succulent, coating was crispy but light, and the burger was overall simplistic and delicious. Thanks Arshee for the great burger.

3 years on from first coming here (but definitely not the only times I've visited), what can I say but consistent excellence. You can't say that about many places.
Everything is good, from the burgers to the chicken to the nuggets and chips it's all top notch, always crispy and juicy but never greasy.
This sets the bar for fried chicken for all others.
This sounds like a fake review....it's not.
I was recommended this place by a friend and I saw it used as a yardstick to go by when others were talking about crispy fried chicken.
I decided to give it a shot and it did not disappoint. The chicken were freshly fried (which means you have to wait for a short while) but what you get is freshly prepared, deliciously deeply fried chicken that is crunchy with every single bite.
If you are keen for something saucier, their mustard sauce is awesome too!
Parking: there is nearby parking just outside and behind the shop. It was during Covid period when this review was done, and there was no dine-in. Public chairs and tables were also available.
This place is the best for fried chicken. The flavour is clean and not overly oily or greasy. The chips are great with whatever magic seasoning they use. The big box represents great value and can feed 4 people (though if you are very hungry then probably only 2-3). I have got many of my friends hooked onto this chicken as well and thus this place gets my strongest recommendation
