I stumbled upon this place because I craved some dumplings. I'm glad I came here and discovered it.
First things first. Don't let the decor turn you away.
It's a family run restaurant, and food is very homely / home style which is exactly what you want. You don't go here for the atmosphere, you go here for authentic food with very friendly service (may be slow some times if they get busy, but don't blame them!).
The biggest plus is the affordable prices! In fact, my partner and I paid a $40 and were very very full, and had enough left over to have for lunch the next day for the both of us! We would have been happier to pay more.
For anyone that lives in the apartment blocks around the area, or if you work in the area, and you like Chinese food or Sichuan food, I definitely recommend you go here (even if it's just for takeaway). There are other good restaurants just around the corner (which I've been to), but this place is simply the best of the lot. Not only is it the best of a bunch, it's great Chinese food in it's own right. And the price point is just the icing on the top.
I'll definitely be back again.
This restaurant is in such an obscure place but we were so impressed with everything we ate! We had THE BEST EVER spring onion pancakes, they were super crunchy! We also had the vegetarian dumplings which were filled with egg and vermicelli, never had them like that but very tasty! The spicy cold rice noodles were really yum. We couldn't finish all our food, it was so much, and costed a total bill of $27 - unbelievable! Our new favourite dumpling restaurant for sure!
Good food and very friendly owner & waitress. The signatures food that we had, the fish soup and the sichuan dishes. I hope they improve the decor put more lights indoor, the room bit too dark & gloom.
Authentic Sichuan flavour and the chef is got a great cooking technique. Tons of food with a great price. One of the Best spicy chicken in town. The location is a bit not very obvious but Totally worth it.
Nice quality food, good taste and big portion.
Service is good and most importantly, is cheap and tasty.

Price is good, good food for the price we pay but the interior could be improved a bit. But at the end of the day, fundamentally, its the food that matters and its good!!
This place got low decorations but the writers are so nice. Its difficult find that kind of place which got high quality food with average price ! Good to come ! Will come again :)
This is the best dumpling which I ever had, I went there with all my friends and order so many delicious food.i recommend Kung Lao chicken and spicy chicken.this service is so sweet as well.
Cuuuuuuute spicy chicken！Really really traditional Sichuan flavor and all of my Chinese friends. The spicy lamb is also very lovely. I'm sure u will like it.
Had the noodle soup with beef (and wide rice noodles). Really beautiful and hearty broth, gelatinous in the mouth and tellingly prepared from a great stock base. A bargain too!
Decor is average. Service is sweet but not particularly efficient. And the environment is a bit drab. But the food is great and for the price, is perfect for what it is!
The food and the service was very good. I like the fried dumplings very much! Average cost is about $20 per person include drinks, is hard to find second restaurant like that at CBD area. Will come again !
Dumplings are a winner here, so cheap at $10 for 16 dumpings and you can tell they are hand made, and they are so huge. Its BYO and there's an IGA liquor next door which is a big bonus. Favorite dish is the Chinese broccoli in chilli sauce, vegetarian dumplings and cold rice noodle in chilli sauce. The interior is a bit budget, but its their food that's the sellingpoint here.The people here are really friendly aswell. Worth checking out.
Pretty sure this is a brand new restaurant ,All staffs were so friendly and nice , I ordered pork dumpling which was 16 big pieces for $10 !!!! TRULY HANDMADE! Cos u can see their staff made dumpling from outside ! Can you believe that? It was tasty so good !! Hope the owner can make a much bigger sign in front of the door let every one can see your nice place !!
Don't be fooled by the lack of signage and decor. This dumpling house has some top drawer dumplings and really good service! Their authentic hand made dumplings are well worth the visit, and are great value for money.
Excellent personalized service. Authentic Chinese food for western palates (but spicy on demand). Yummy eggplant, tasty fried dumplings, delicious kongpao chicken. Not too busy yet. Ex-Dainty-Sichuan top chef. Go there!
This is my first zomato (still remember it as urbanspoon) review & what a place for my first! Not many places were open New Year's Day but this place was, so decided to give it go with a takeaway. I ordered pork dumplings with another dish and what a great meal those two were! The staff are very friendly, the restaurant was very clean and the handmade dumplings were truly handmade! You can taste the delicious difference! I guess this place is relatively new as it's still quite easy to get a table, but certainly has the potential to be very popular! Will be coming to this (temporarily) hidden gem more often!
If it weren't for the internet, you'd never find out about this gem of a dumpling house, because the only sign that points to it is a unassuming A-frame on park st.
Good for you if you get in now, because you'll have some of Melbourne's best sichuan and dumplings all to yourself. And at a great price. We even had the pleasure of meeting 'ma' and 'pa', who are the geniuses behind this little place. My only regret is that I've discovered it on the eve of leaving Melbourne.
You know that amazing feeling when you discover a new place that's good that no one else seems to know about? That's why writing this review is bittersweet. I want them to survive but I don't want to let the secret out.
The food packs a serious punch. Delicious sichuan flavours. We had the pork and cabbage dumplings, the chilli chicken the broccoli and chilli starter and were not disappointed.
The ambience is a bit odd in that it's empty but the service is great. Go now. Before everyone else finds out.
4 of us and we ordered 4 massive plates of food, 8 Coke Zero's and the bill was $80. The food was awesome, generous servings, and delicious. Best place to go and pig out in your trackies! The only place in the area open till 11:00 pm!!
