Great home style cooked italian. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Large portions for well affordable price. The only thing is that it does take a little time to get your food. But do not let that deter you from the meal.
We had a good experience here on a Saturday night after movie. The food here does not taste fancy but more like home cooking, simple but great. Ordered both spaghetti and salad to share between two of us. The portion was huge - I started to feel full after having the complimentary bread - the biggest complimentary bread I have every seen in an restaurant. Pasta was flavorsome and the salad was very fresh.
Ordered a house white wine but wasn’t impressive.
Will definitely come back to try more dishes.
Lovely staff and incredible food. I ordered the Fettuccine Matriciana and was blown away! Definitely coming back here! P.s. Also really great music selection - a great ambience

Best Italian place in town! They nail 100% of all dishes cooked!
MUST: The Stagioni pasta, omit the bacon if you’re vegetarian. This is carbs done right! Creamy but light Napoli sauce, clings onto the pasta perfectly and basically one serving is not enough.
TRY: The Aglio e Olio pasta, they perfected this seemingly simply and classic dish. Make sure to grab some extra herb bread to soak up some of the garlicky flavoured oil too.
DON’T: dine in if you’re ashamed of carb loading on your cheat day! Order via Ubereats but you need to get in quick as this place is so popular it doesn’t even show up on the delivery app most days.
One of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne and has been for 20 years. Friendly but unobtrusive service, food that is always prepared with care and respect for great flavour and tradition. It has won a place in people's hearts over a long period of time for good reason. I'd eat here once a week if I lived closer. The veal parmigiana is the best in the city and one of the few that remains properly Italian. Tamani Bistro around the corner also had great veal but has since closed. La Lucc now stands alone. Not flashy but really, really good.
Very nice staff! Always good food - a great local casual Italian place. The avocado salad with potato salad is delicious. We never have a problem getting a table even though it’s always busy.
One of the best gnoochis in Melbourne. Big serving & great price. I come here often & also get via uber eats! Highly recommend the gnocchi and pastas

I've visited twice now. Service, great! Quattro Straggio, delicious. Custom requests aren't a problem - what a change to most places in SY! It's quaint and snug but I feel this adds to the homemade Italian charm. Would recommend.
This place is fantastic, do not go expecting a fine dining experience go for hearty rich Italian food like you would eat at home. I can not really pick this place for what it is, interior definitely could be updated but I think that's what I like about this place. Relaxing place to eat good food and watch the traffic and people move down Chapel street.
We stopped here for a quick lunch after traveling from interstate. We were greeted nicely, orders taken promptly and efficiently provided with our food. For the money, I would rate the place 5 star but of course the ambience and atmosphere was not 5 star but still pleasant.
Not as trendy as many of the local haunts, but it's always a friendly atmosphere and a yummy feed. Takeaway is always a favourite as it's piping hot and fresh. Definitely a go-to for pasta when you need some comfort food. Favs in our house are the quattro stagioni and the meatballs :)
I come here a few times every winter and each year I have the same thing. I've done it for 20 years and never faltered from my order. The Quattro Staggione pasta and a house red. True warming, comfort food. Fantastic flavours, delicious!!!! SO RELIEVED that it hasn't changed in all this time and with it's offerings it doesn't need to. It's "your Nonnas house". She doesn't change the menu or "innovate" but she does the same bloody fantastic dishes you come back for time and time again that make you feel comforted and loved. Try it - you won't regret it.

Consistently good food and service. I'm a local that eats here every few weeks and it's always enjoyable. They use good quality ingredients, the salads and soups and antipasto are great, and you can't go past the spaghetti prawn puttanesca. The house wine is nice, the service is very good and it is good value for money.
Our Regular Haunt. We eat at La Lucciola on a regular basis. We like the food - the veal schnitzel is a treat - and have found the wait staff to be pleasant and attentive. La Lucciola represents good value for money.

I went to La Lucciola for dinner with my family (Highly recommended by a friend) and was exteeemely impressed by the home cooked style of food. Reminds me of my grandmothers great cooking! Highly recommend the Quattro Staggioni! Amazing stuff here! We all loved it :)
Nothing wrong with this place , I got the salmon salad which was a nice large serve , Heaters outside with good service , my boy got the Parma which is more traditional Italian style with no ham so don't expect to find one as you would at a pub
Great place with delicious food. Great, attentive staff. Food was delicious, we chose the fettucine with cream, bacon and mushrooms, and the special spaghetti siciliana - with italian sausage, napoli sauce and olives. Portions were generous and prices were around $16-$17. Atmosphere was nice, small and cosy. Tiramisu was also delicious and good size for 2 of us to share. Highly recommended!
Saturday night at LaL. We were able to make a booking which was great. Tick. The staff were extremely pleasant. Tick. Service was pretty slack but didn't really matter because when we asked for something they were very obliging. BYO. Tick. Food and value were excellent. Bet it was cooked by Mama. Big tick. Desserts - delicious and big enough for 2. There are no pizzas, so be warned if that's what you expect at an authentic Italian place. A great spot for a casual bite in the heart of happening Chapel St (just down from Jam Factory).
This place has the best pasta out of Italy in my opinion. Love the cute nonna who looks to see you have enjoyed meal. Could eat there every day!
Delicious. The staff was really friendly. Great selection and the decor was cool. When my pasta came out, it didn't look like a lot but after I started digging in, I realised that I was going to struggle to finish it. Price was reasonable. Loved it :)
Lovely mocha!. I didn't expect much of this place as it was pretty much empty and devoid of any customers when my hubby and I decided to give it a go.
The Mocha was quite nice and before you know it, I've finish my mug and yet, wanting more.
Dessert of the day - apple and raspberry crumble was delicious too! Hubs, who isn't a fan of deserts devoured most of it! ;)

There is something going on in La Lucciola's salads. And its wonderful! I can never order anything else because its always so satisfying - and I've been 25+ times.
My favorite. Just like mums home cooked meal. Love it - a staple! Always come here after returning home from overseas. Tuna salad and lentil soup are perfect.
Belisimo!. Great italian - authentic pastas and perfect bisteca (steak) sides of vegetables are delicious. Staff and service okay - pretty quick considering how busy they get. Its a regular and its BYO!

Exceptional. Been here twice for lunch. First time i got a tuna salad, which was great and second time the smoked salmon salad both were the same base though with different fish, but they are both very yummy. The smoked salmon was fresh and delicious. My friend got a pasta dish which looked great and the second time i went my sister got a chicken and avocado foccia and i tried some it was delicious. Service was good. Price is good. Overall a nice place to go!
