Very nice taste, good service.
Highly recommend, I will definitely come back
Simple, Casual dine in or take out restaurant off South Road. Authentic Malaysian dishes with one of the best Curry Laksa by far in the East.
Flavoursome and fragrant broth, very well balanced between the spicyness and creamyness.
$10 Lunch Deals /c can of Drink is value right there. Great service, worth the drive down.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📸: 4 Seasons Combination Laksa, Malaysian Mee Goreng.
Absolutely awesome laksa, flavours very well developed and the chicken was good quality. The beef rendang was delicious too! Simple interior but it’s the food and very friendly service that matters the most ! Enjoyed the lunch specials for only $10.90 which included a drink. Great value, great food and very friendly service. Highly recommend! Just note that it is cash only.
I love the combination laksa here. The taste of the laksa broth is very unique. The broth comes in 3 different spice levels. It is thick, rich and fragrant with coconut milk. The bowl is packed with ingredients: brocolli, chicken, prawns, tofu puffs, fishcake, eggplant, beansprouts, 2 types of noodles, and long beans. Delicious.
If you are looking for laksa around Moorabbin, then look no further. They have other dishes too - but I guess laksa is the one to go for. I personally ordered the lemon grass chicken rice. When it came it looked just ordinary home made dish. But it actually tasted quite nice! Kids were happy with their Singaporean noodles too.
The $10 lunch deal with soft drink is such a good value, I think they should get rid of it because won’t be making much money with that, and the original price is already quite low anyway ($10.90-$12.90). The laksa is especially good, thick flavoursome soup and quite spicy too even though I ordered medium. So it’s a real deal. Also ordered Singaporean fried noodle, which is also yummy. The kitchen also looks clean and tidy. They are getting busier now for good reason.
The best Malaysian food we’ve had in years !!! The service was fantastic the food amazing.
We drove over an hour to eat here and were defiantly not disappointed !
Do yourselves a favour and have the Laksa
Such a great hidden gem! Really authentic laksa! The veggies are so fresh (even the snap peas are nice and crunchy). It's really affordable too!
Authentic curry laksa. The hokkien noodle was good too. The place feels like a typical restaurant you'd walk into in Malaysia. Mee goreng was a tad spicy. A place I'd return for a curry laksa fix. I'd love to try their other dishes someday.
Simply the best curry laksa ever!! We have been eating here for the last 5 years and have not found a tastier curry laksa anywhere else. The beef rendang and roti are simply delicious and fresh. Another tasty dish is the calamari and the green beans fried in belacan. Recommend it without hesitation. Kudos to Tony, Alicia and the rest of the team at Four Seasons for feeding us wonderful Malaysian food!
Absolutely the best laksa in Melbourne. I am Malaysian and very picky with my Asian food but this place is amazing. Small, authentic place for Malaysian food. Chef and owner is super friendly as well
Best laksa ever. The broth was so damn good. The tofu was to die for. Everything about it was just perfect. The staff are extremely friendly although they don’t know much English. We also ordered some fried tofu which was amazing as well (I don’t remember the exact name of it).
Got delivery one time and was very impressed.
Went in tonight to see how it would differ and was not let down, the service was great and food was brought out quick and hot had the Chicken Laksa & 5 Spices Crispy Tofu.
Would definitely recommend.
Really affordable, tasty authentic laksa! Got the chicken laksa and spring rolls, both came out really fast and hot. And the service was friendly, definitely recommend it. Just make sure you bring cash
Edited to add: recently visited 4 Seasons and ate in. The food did not let us down. The service was great and the owner was very hospitable. Just reconfirmed what I already thought. Freakin love this place.
My friends and I ordered the combo laksa through uber eats. I am now obsessed.
Let me preface this review by saying that I’ve never had laksa before so I can’t compare it to other laksas. But since this combo laksa came into my life, it’s all I think about. I’m loving the laksa cos firstly, they pack the broth in a separate container. It meant that I could pour as much broth I wanted and save the rest for later. The broth was also steaming hot when it arrived so the noodles didn’t go soggy. Secondly, the broth was full of flavour and it wasn’t over powering. It complimented all the ingredients perfectly. Third: Value. For. Money. At $12.50 (and quite a decent serving size), you cannot go wrong. I highly recommend this place especially for those cold winter nights or if you are craving for laksa or like me, you’ve never had it before and want to give it a go. Hands down my new favourite take out.
Best Laksa in town, besides other Malaysian delights like beef Rendang, char kwey teow, Singapore noodles..the very friendly owner, Tony has a vege patch at the back of restaurant and uses seasonal vegetables for his cooking..
Went to Penang and tried the famous Penang curry noodle recently - I still think the Laksa in 4-season laksa is far more delicious..
4 seasons laksa served the best laksa i ever had, better than the laksa i used to have in Malaysia. They planted their own spices. If you are finding authentic malaysian laksa, this is the place to go for
The food is soooo good, I was very surprised. It was authentic and the staff is very friendly, they really make an effort to make you enjoy your meal. Just remember it’s cash only!
We love the laksa here. It's taste better than the laksa in canberra and the best so far in melbourne for us. A lovely family owned restaurant.
Great little place with authentic Malaysian flavours. Service is attentive and helpful as was picking up a takeaway order. Malaysian hawker's style FKT was well seasoned and was very enjoyable.
The 5 spices crispy calamari was beautifully cooked and tender and not to spicy hot. My wife has found a new best calamari dish in Melbourne. If your looking for food that is of a good quality for takeaway and great prices this is definitely a little gem people should try. Will be back to try other dishes
Traveled all the way from Malvern just to have the laksa! Was worth it! Though, I had the low Spicy level laksa, I will be getting a hotter one next time! God came and quick and the staff were friendly! Definitely recommend!
Loved the Loh Mee and very unique in house Laksa, very Malaysian, will definitely come back for more! Air-conditioned space during hot day. Very welcoming.
Seriously delicious food. Don’t bother with dine in, just get takeaway. The laksa’s are all great, but also love the noodle dishes, in particular the Hawker Char Kwai Teow. Best dish on the menu is the 5 spice tofu, sensational! Service is always fast, ring ahead.
A hidden gem. This family owned business is a great local experience worth travelling for. We go every week for a Laksa, (which we rate the best in Melbourne).
The laksa here is so good, I've also tried the beef rendang, fried chicken ribs and Singapore noodles and they were all great too. There are lots of vegetarian options.
Ordered Malaysian Nasi Goreng, Five Spices Crispy Tofu, Malaysian Hawker's Style Fried Kuoy Teow, Roti with Curry Chicken on the Weekend for pick up. The Order was ready in almost no time, the shop itself is pretty small but cute. No Customers in the Shop but plenty of takeaway orders waiting to be picked up. Took about 5 minutes to get someone's attention as everyone was working on getting the shop ready for patrons. Coming to the Food the Tofu was fantastic, loved the way it was provided with some wafers and amazing five spices accompaniment. The Curry although a bit Spicy for me was yummy. Fried Kuoy Teow was well made as well and had a nice flavor to it. The least impressive dish was the Nasi Goreng as i found it a bit bland for my liking. All in all a great experience, will go again.
Hidden Malaysian restaurant in the southern suburbs. Not as good as laksa kind but given the lack of decent malaysian food in this area, it's not too bad. Only tried their laksa which was quite generous.
This place is super cozy and it feels like home. Staffs are very friendly here. The combination laksa was beyond amazing, I would normally not finish the bowl of soup but this is an exception. 👌🏻
Very authentic Laksa.
If you want spicy they really know how to spice it up! Silken tofu was just divine. Will be adding it to my local go to place from now on. Recommend booking as even on a Sunday late afternoon he was packed.
Top quality laksa. The best I have has which is why I order from then once every 1-2 weeks. The dishes are full of flavour and pricing is fair.
Cash Only, Amazing Laksa, very affordable lunch special for a meal and drink. Looks a little run down however the laksa is delicious. Black bean beef quiet average.
I enjoyed this place very much. I tried combination laksa from lunch menu and it was amazing. I don't have any complain about this shop because I can eat the great laksa only around 10$! The service staff was friendly and the meal served very quickly.
4 seasons laksa have never let me down. I moved recently so they're about 30 mins drive from me now (as opposed to around the corner!) and I'm yet to find their replacement nearby.
Their boneless chicken laksa is next level, and they do an amazing roti too.
Definitely a takeaway joint, but their food is top notch.
We visited here when it opened quite a few years ago + food was OK'ish, so we hadn't gone back. We thought we'd give it another go a few weeks ago and it's really improved dramatically - and then we went back a couple of times more after that we liked it so much.
The beef rendang and 5 spice salt+pepper dishes are our favorite here - ask them to make it spicy and you won't be disappointed. The satay entree's are good too - not charcoal grilled skewers but the sauce is spot on authentic. Roti's pretty good too.
It's reasonably priced, staff are friendly so no complaints there. Atmosphere is 'cafe' style (not restaurant) - but that's fine too given you are after all getting hawker style food.
Only small annoyance though (-0.5 stars for this) is they are cash only - really not sure why they don't have eftpos/cc machine after all this time. So if you forget to bring cash, you're faced with a walk about 200m up the road to Moorabbin shops on Nepean highway for closest atm.
I didn't know this existed until I did a search on Zomato.
I was hankering for an old favourite from some other place: Beef Kuay Teow.
It's on the lunch menu here as Malaysian Fried Kuay Teow $10.90. But with some kind of seafood ingredients, which I'm not keen on. I asked if it could be done with beef and, after a brief discussion with the boss, the answer was yes.
I may have overdone the chilli just a little, but that can make a meal more memorable.
I'll be back ...
I'm back ... Beef Rendang also great.
They do a good seafood laksa. Contains a lots of prawns and other goodies. The servings are huge and offer great value. I think I will give the chicken laksa a go next time.
Ok la. Very traditional Malay food. It's all about the food, hawker market style. Nice laksa with Hainanese chicken, very keen to try other dishes.
The staff are perfect, attentive and friendly but let you enjoy your meal without interruption. The food, well definitely the best Malaysian by far and I've been all across from one side of the city to the other. Nothing less than 5 star. A rare diamond and the prices are ridiculously cheap considering the quality. I would've paid double for this meal
Don't be fooled or put off by the first impression of this small family business in the the burbs. It's not fancy but the food is incredible. The nasi lemak and beef rendang is the best I have had in Melbourne. The mee goreng is to die for and laksa is simply delicious. Uncle is super friendly and welcoming. What more could you want? Very good value for money. Give this place a go, I do regularly!
Really difficult to say anything negative. Kicked it off with some chicken skewers and mixed it up with some seafood laksa. Plenty of prawns in the laksa was a massive bonus.
The best ever Laksa!! I'm a big fan of Laksa, four season Laksa is the best one I had so far.
Tried Laksa king on Monday due to shop closed on Monday, and the chicken the broth is way to far to compare with four season Laksa, soooo disappointed, chicken Laksa tasted like chicken jerky.... I can say that the four season Laksa is the best Laksa in Australia.
When the weather takes a turn on chilly arvos/ evenings, 4 seasons laksa is exactly what the doctor ordered! Never would you guess that quality laksa is only around the corner in a seemingly innocuous shopfront along South Road!
Uncle Tony's laksa is just the right amount of broth, meat, tofu and spice to satisfy your cravings and warm you from the inside out.
The chicken and seafood in the combination laksa is always fresh and cooked to perfection and the broth is just the right amount of hot, spicy and creamy to make you feel content and happy with the world. A lot of uncle Tony's ingredients are organically grown in his backyard and make the laksa more flavoursome and delicious!
Usually go there for the laksa but have never been disappointed with anything else I have ordered off the menu. Needless to say, while some go back for seconds, I have been back for fifths and sixths!
Delicious satay and one of the best Nasi Gorengs in Bayside. Definitely coming back to try many more things on the menu. I hear the laksa is superb.
Home made tofu and fresh vegetables straight from the organic garden at the back of the restaurant.
Friendly service. Inexpensive. Excellent value.
Laksa's are great especially the Seafood one and the Ipoh Char Hor Fun is a personal favourite of mine. Quick service. Cash only can be a bit inconvenient though.
The laksa is very tasty. I love laksa and tried lots of place. Here is quite good. Also, the deep fry tufu is nice, a little bit more salt will be more nicer.
Eat And Be Merry Crew
+3.5
A good laksa is truly something to behold. Kiddo being quite the laksa connoisseur sums it up nicely in her 10 year old wisdom, it has to taste good but not burn your mouth off. The laksa soup at 4 Seasons have the right balance of aromatics and depth of flavour without the after burn. Kiddo settled down for her regular of seafood curry laksa ($17.90). As far as laksas go, it was on the pricier end but having said that it was a decent sized bowl (more than plenty for a child) and plenty of seafood pieces and tofu and eggplant.
A very nice and friendly restaurant we found while driving through South Rd. The seafood laksa we had was absolutely amazing!!!! There were other interesting ranges of malaysian cusine to choose from but we were well and truly full. Will definitely recommend to my friends and come back in the near future to explore many more dishes. This is a great little gem for anyone who likes their laksa.
Great authentic south east Asian cuisine! Had the laksa and char kway teow. Was delicious! Really glad to have found this place so close to home. Will be back for sure!
Cannot believe the amount of times I have overlooked this place when looking for local takeaway. Do not be fooled by interior appearances. The food here is deliciously satisfying and perfect for a cold night staying in as they do home delivery (within 3km). I would highly recommend the chicken ribs and pad Thai. The staff are also very friendly & the only drawback I could see is that it's a teeny bit pricier than other Asian restaurants in general but worth it.
Tried out the Chicken Laksa for lunch the other day. Got it pretty quick and it tasted great. For the cost it was a good deal but not the best laksa if money is not a factor.
The plate in which the food was served was not looking very clean. So was slightly disappointed.
Had a lovely laksa here today. Ordered medium spicy and it was just right. Beautiful prawns. Have missed having decent Malaysian since moving to this side of town. Looking forward to returning.
Cannot comment on the dine-in experience since I've always ordered delivery, but the laksa is consistently good with thick and tasty broth. The hainanese chicken rice was also good but too bad they don't come with the soup if you order delivery. The portions are generous with reasonable price.
I love this place! The food is super delicious! Its easy to get around the no eftpos situation, I just use a booking website. Order my food from the train , pay via credit card and pick it up on my walk past. The chiekn ribs are super tasty and the combination laksa is my staple. Ive tried loads on the menu, and never been dissapointed. Though I tend to order mild and add chilli sauce to my liking at home, cause their medium is sometimes a little too spicey for me.
I would happily eat here every week if I could!
Yummiest laksa and so cheap it's hidden on the main road of south road but definitely worth stopping in for a relaxed and quick meal eat in or takeaway
Got delivery and was very impressed! The Rendang was fantastic, as was the prawn curry and the special fried rice! Having lived in Indinesia and been to Malaysia several times I really liked this restaurant. Will be ordering again!
Very homely place. I especially enjoyed the five spices tofu and had to have a second bowl. Laksa is authentic. It is a very small place though so be prepared to wait for a table at peak hours.
Located next to the highway, very small venue but produces the best And most authentic malaysian food in Melbourne. Very warm and friendly owner.
One of the best Malaysian anywhere in Melbourne. As a Malaysian myself I'm always looking for cheap, authentic Malaysian and this place delivers. The food is delicious, the prices/servings are good value and the owner Tony has fantastic customer service. I always feel at home when I come here (which is far too often!).Highly recommend!!
Great Laksa! Gone for the medium combination today and was not disappointed! Well worth checking it out.
Seems to be a local Malaysian favourite with the surrounding office crowds.
The service was awesome, the owner came up to our table as soon as we arrived. He talked us through the menu but I knew what came for. The Seafood Laksa was amazing with good quality fresh seafood. He even brought me a beverage from his own private stash. Will definitely visit again, wish I lived closer. It not fine dining and would never pretend to be just an awesome affordable place to go for some Malaysian flavors.
This laksa has a tasty broth and quality seafood ingredients...
Do yourself a favour and pop in for bowl....
The lovely owner gave us extra broth to take home with our remaining laksa noodles, full service
Fantastic laksa - and quite spicy too, the way it should be! (Although they are happy to make a mild laksa for you too :)). Their only downfall - it's cash only!
The laksa here is the best I've ever had and the crispy calamari is perfect (and still crispy-they even have the common sense to cut holes in the top of the container and put some paper towel underneath so it doesn't steam when you're getting it home or it's coming to you). The owner is really friendly and always remembers me :)
By far the best Laksa I have ever had and the owner is very friendly. I come here all the time and have tried a lot of the dishes. Definitely has the authentic taste and feel. Could not recommend more highly!
I have ordered delivery from 4 seasons laksa a number of times and cannot rate this place highly enough! The dishes I have tried have been 'Roti with Curry', 'Black Been Beef', 'Combination Crispy Noodles' as well as the famous 'Laksa'. This is a great home delivery option if you are within 3km of the place, not somewhere I would eat in but great to pick up if you cannot get delivery.
Have been here many times since our first review. Must say that its become our local favorite. Always on our order list is the home made tofu on the specials board, Char Kway teow and Chicken Laksa! Service is fabulous, no frills, but somehow homy and comfortable. Happy discovery so close to home. We'll keep coming back!
Amazing authentic food! Definitely give it a go!. I noticed this restaurant on urbanspoon, and saw that it was quite close to home. I was really impressed with the reviews that other people posted, so I definitely wanted to give it a go.
Popped in around lunch time on Tuesday, and ordered the Chicken Hainanese Laksa for me and mum. Wow... the laksa is probably one of the best and authentic curry laksa's I've ever had. Great soup flavour, quality chicken pieces, and nice and chewy noodles. Not to mention, great and friendly customer service from Tony and his team.
With the winter season coming up in Melbourne, definitely try the curry laksa, the soup will definitely make you feel a lot warmer :)
Amazing authentic Malaysian food. Came here the other night with my partner and tried out a variety of dishes and left VERY full but satisfied. The owner was friendly and helpful with our choices, even advising us that we'd probably ordered too much. The decor leaves a bit to be desired and there isn't really a "vibe" so we'd do takeaway next time but would definitely return.
Brilliant authentic food, friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Don't be fooled by the shabby decor. It's all about the food. Their Laksas are as good as the fabled Laksa King in Flemington. Kway Teow could be crispier in my view but it is good. We'll be back. Finally a good Malaysian place close by.
Best Laksa Ever!!. We've been getting takeaway from here for the last few months almost once a week. Amazing Laksa!!! The Char Kway Teow and Chicken Rice are awesome as well, we'll be trying more on their menu for sure.
There used to be only one place we would go for Laksa. It would involve a 30 minute car trip to the other side of the city and another 30 minute wait in the queue for a table. It was worth it though. Laksa King in Kensington, the king of Laksa in Melbourne and the competition didn’t even come close. No more. Now the east side has it’s own version and its just as good, if not better and there is no 30 minute queue!
This place is great!. I was in Melbourne for a week recently, and ended up coming here three times. I think that says it all really.
The silky tofu (made fresh in house) is utterly amazing! Will be going back for round four and beyond next time I'm back.
Lovely little place. Walking into this place reminds me of my family dinners - simple yet delicious and hearty meals mixed with warming company. The owner is extremely friendly and always providing either his recommendations or specials of the day. If you don't feel like cooking and just want a good old fashioned meal without worrying about being in a pretentious venue, this is the place to go. Sit down, tell the owner what you like to eat and let him decide. You won't be disappointed. Worth the drive, worth the company.
Very friendly owner, very hearty meal. Feels like eating a home cooked meal. They have a few food not on the menu that are rally good like silky homemade tofu with Japanese mushroom, bak kut teh. The laksa and hainamese chicken rice were also very tasty. Very happy with the food and service, will definitely come back.
Great food!!!. We really enjoyed every bite here and have no complaints at all. We found the owner to be very friendly.
Will definitely be back.
Some of the best food around.
Excellent. Great little place specialising in laksa. Wonderful flavours beautifully executed. Hainanese chicken laksa is a personal favourite. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
This small place looks like those typical Chinese takeaway joints. The food is mostly Malaysian / Singaporean dishes. We tried the nasi Lemak and it was pretty decent. The rendang was really soft and the sauce works great with the rice. The tofu was crispy on the outside and seasoned nicely. Loh Mee was bland and lacking that vinegar flavour you would normally expect.
Food - 7
Service - 8
Vibe - 3
Price - $$
Loved the seafood curry laksa. It wasn’t the coconutty type of laksa i was used to-Tasted the curry more in this dish. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed it 🙂.
Also its a cash only place but they do accommodate the client if you dont have cash. I was able to make a bank transfer on the spot- so , happy customer! … thanks for the service
Great Asian quick lunch with reasonable prices. The lunch special menu is only $12.50. The combination Laksa is full of flavor and delicious. The Hainanese Chicken is my favorite .. tender steamed chicken thigh... fantastic. Highly recommended. 👍
Very nice - 5 stars for a little family run restaurant in these Covid times. The Laksas we ordered were yummy and of high quality. Even the Prawn Crackers, though in smaller portions, were good quality compared to the usual food court fare. The food was ready for pick up within twenty minutes of placing the order. Only point to note - they are cash only.
Very tasty range of dishes, and reasonable pricing, a gem! Regarding recent negative reviews, this is a small casual family style restaurant. Don't come expecting white cloth tablecloths and silver service, but do expect delicious home style Malaysian dishes and charming wait staff. Cash or bank deposit only.
We got the chicken laksa and black bean stir-fried noodles. Both were delicious - served fresh and hot! Very accomodations to vegetarians, you just have to ask. Service was quick and Uncle Tony (owner) is super friendly!
