I never get a chance to take photo because I just shove the ice cream into my mouth as soon as she pass it on to my hand!
They are so goodd!!
Piccolina is the newest kid on the block in St Kilda in terms of gelato, and already I'd say it beats the competition.
My favourite is the Pistachio as well as the Dark Chocolate flavour. As I try to minimise my dairy intake, this place is perfect as you really can't tell it's vegan.
Also, the staff are super friendly and smiley which is always a bonus.
Ooof. You can’t get much better than this divine ice cream. It was literally melt-in-your-mouth as the sweetness had me exploding a giant smile to the residents and visitors of St Kilda. The ice cream here is smooth and authentic. The flavours are exquisite, you honestly won’t know which one to pick (so go on, have two scoops. You’re welcome.)
Revisited an Acland Street favourite yesterday afternoon and couldn’t go past the Nutella/hazelnut flavoured gelato. I fell in love with this flavour when I visited Piccolina at their Hawthorn location so was happy to see that familiar flavour still on the menu here. Pretty damn good and was the perfect day for such a purchase even though it was a little cold out.
The Lemon Sorbet is absolutely delicious! So much depth to it. It might just be my new favourite spot in Melbourne for it. Would definitely recommend it.
I ordered peanut butter and pistachio flavour. Nice gelato with rich flavours, friendly staff, would definitely re-visit and try more flavours!

I mean who doesn’t love Icecream? But when it’s dairy free and doesn’t upset my tummy that’s even better! I visited the St Kilda store on a vegan tour & ordered the passionfruit & mango flavours which were creamy & delicious! The store was super cute and even came complete with a flowing Nutella tap (I’d love one in my house!) The girls working were absolutely lovely and allowed you to try flavours before you decided. The outdoor seats are nice for the location and summer days / nights. Definitely one to add to the list, next time I’ll get the chocolate flavour for sure!

Love the amount of vegan options here! I tried passionfruit gelato and it was delightful!
Service was great too!
Will def be back to try the vegan choc 😍
I love the Nutella ice cream here , it really is worth the hype . Taste exactly like the real thing except cold . Great service here , staff are friendly and very generous with their scoops
So tiny, you'd almost miss it. This Piccolina doesn't have quite the same ambiance as their other locations, but offers the same amazing scoops. The vegan dark chocolate sorbet is always a hit. You'd barely guess it's dairy free. Piccolina's newest outlet is a major asset to St.Kilda.
One of the best ice cream shops in Melbourne! The variety of generic ice cream is amazing. From classic to new flavours. Only negative is that they sometimes are understaffed .
L I N E S out the door and for good reasons too.
Visited the St Kilda store after a dinner in a warm Monday night. Situated on the far end of Acland st, just in front of the last tram stop, the store can easily be spotted thanks to the line up of people eagerly waiting to try their amazing gelato.
Piccolina offered a good range of flavours. Not too many to make the experience anymore difficult than it already is to pick which flavour to get and not too less to bring down your excitement when you get there. The permanent flavours are also written on a sign next to the door so you can narrow down flavours while you wait. in addition some special flavours are offered and listed in side the store. Best to at least narrow down which ones you might get if not set your heart on a flavour as staff are low and already busy pumping out gelato and also keep up with uber orders. Let's also be considerate of others waiting in line too!
The interior is simple yet chic and beautiful. There is no inside seating but there are some set up outside.
We choose the pistachio as I was keen to try it after hearing they roast and make their own but butters for their gelati. We also tried one of their specials which was the yuzu, mandarin flavour.
The gelati appears elastic but so smooth which in my opinionehanced the flavour and experience.
I l o v e d the pistachio flavour. Subtle but effective. My friend like it too but commented that it was very sweet. The sweetness did make it feel rich to me too but I loved it despite this.
The yuzu on the other hand was a very refreshing flavour. Not as smooth, more icy like an icy pole t uh pe texture. It too was a little sweet but the citrus flavours helped to dim the sweetness so it didn't seem as the pistachio.
Priced at $6.80 for two scoops, only $1 more than just a single scoop, I was happy with value too.
You can definitely expect me to be back to try their other flavours sometime in the near future (Got my eye on the Hazelnut flavour and regrets not trying their special Peanut buttur Choc chip!!)
Bayside gelato lovers have been rejoicing over Piccolina Gelateria’s newest store. Located in Acland Street St Kilda, the heart of Melbourne’s summer playground, the new store responds to the street scape and the beachside vibe of Acland street with the facade opening up completely to the street.
4.5 Just in time for summer Piccolina has opened up it’s newest store in St Kilda’s Acland Street – minutes from the beach and with a delicious range of gelato and vegan sorbets to...
This place is amazing! Love all the flavors. Don’t think it’s necessary to charge a dollar for the tiny bit of Nutella they add on top - that’s included in the price in Elwood and the ice cream ist just as good.
Maybe something to take into account otherwise delicious!
The pistacchio gelato is totally delicious. As were all the other flavors we had! And the girls at the counter were exceptionally friendly and lovely. Well done Piccolina!
Piccolina Gelateria just opened the new flagship store in St Kilda on Acland Street just in time for Spring and Summer. Following the successful branches in Collingwood and Hawthorn, the same commitment made by Piccolina Gelato to be 100% natural and every day the team behind Piccolina puree fresh fruit, roasts nuts and tempers quality chocolate to craft gelato from secret family recipes.
A power player in the Melbourne’s gelato scene, Piccolina Gelateria has gone from strength to strength with two current stores and have now embarked on their next big adventure, St Kilda! Summer breeze and a fair crowd around…I was ready to try anything and everything I could get my hands on as a self-confessed gelato addict!
Delicious ice cream, the coconut and salted caramel were delicious! You know they’re good when they’re kept in those containers and not just out in the open :)
Loved all the flavours we tried. Have to say this is the best gelato I've had in Victoria. The Mascarpone blueberry cheesecake was my favourite, the zabaglione was sweet and refreshing and the stracciatella was pretty good too. Generous serves and good service
One of my favourite places for ice cream, it’s always so creamy and delicious, and it’s true, their “better than Nutella” is better than Nutella. A wide variety to choose from, store staff were friendly and polite (even when it was close to closing time). Their scoops were also on par with their prices. Can’t wait to go back for more!
Gosh, I want to take a spoonful of each ice cream and shove them in my face! That’s how much I love this place! Best ice cream, love the shop front and deco & great customer service!
