A cute and elegant patisserie that specialises in chocolate and macarons using high quality ingredients, with branches all over CBD.
Every macaron here is perfected in a consistent manner; its beautiful crumble and soft delicate buttercream. You can tell they use actual fruit purees, and transform its strong flavours into a light, soft, and perfectly sweet treat.
I loved the pistachio, where the nuttiness from the pistachio and the creaminess and crumbliness of the macaron was a harmony of textures. I also really loved the strawberry, passionfruit and rhubarb macaron as well as the rose flavour macaron. The salted caramel isn't a flavour I would pick right off the bat because it's so heavy and rich, but their macaron here could change that into an elegant taste, which is worth trying.
Such a cute little shop which I always walk past during lunch and finally decided to go in the other day to get some macarons. Got my favourite salted caramel one and also the chocolate one. The chocolate filling was really smooth and like a mousse wedged in between the two perfectly shaped shells. It was light and airy when I bite into it.
The salted caramel one was really nice too. It was a really nice blend of savoury and sweet filling!
I only just learnt of the blue tea on their menu which I will have to go back and try!
Easily the best macarons in Melbourne, La Belle Miette have a variety of flavours and fillings.
The shells are perfectly formed and lightly crack when you bite into it.
The inside of the shell is perfectly chewy like marshmallow.
The blackcurrant jam & cream has a nice zing of fruitiness, and the peach & elderflower is both fruity and floral.
Prices are pretty reasonable at $2.80ea as well.

Really delicious macarons!! I've tried the creme brûlée and rose macarons and they are to die for! Must try, definitely recommend! They also have cute little boxes so you can gift!
Wonderful macaroons. The store is so pretty and quaint and the staff very helpful. I decided to get a box of them because I just couldn’t decide on only a couple.

🍴Things that bring great joy: perfect rainbow array of delicious macarons. Back at #labellemiette which is in my opinion, one of the best macaron shops around. The flavours in order are Strawberry; Earl grey; Blueberry violet; Pistachio; Mandarin; Salted caramel. It’s really up to personal preference as my group varied quite a bit in which were our top favorites. The #saltedcaramelmacaron emerged as the general favourite among us for its rich salted caramel flavours. Personally, I found #mandarin really interesting with the refreshing citrus flavours while people with sweeter tooth will probably prefer the strawberry and blueberry violet. Earl grey was mixed with chocolate so while I would have enjoyed a more authentic tea flavour, my chocolate-loving companion found it to be her favourite

You have to visit this shop to admire its cuteness!!! Hahahah. It’s adorable! Customer service is quite personalised and the staff spent quite some time with me to tell me about every flavour of macaron there was! The flavours are exquisite! I tried the lavender, rose, Earl Grey, gin and tonic, salted caramel, violet, blueberry etc. They are all so fluffy to eat! My favourite of all was the rose macaron.
A very lovely set of macaroons that make for a great gift.. for most Melbournians when it comes to macaroons most would think of La Belle Miette..
These beautiful pastel coloured macaroons are also super delicious..
With a rich creamy centre and soft shell, these macaroons are amazing..
La Belle Miette does macarons well with some seriously impressive flavours on the menu like hazelnut, salted caramel, rhubarb raspberry and passionfruit and the super interesting Gin. Those were the flavours that appealed to me at least. I came at lunch today and there was quite the queue and a lot of the flavours had already gone. Limited space inside for a tea and a macaron.
La Belle Miette served delicious macarons and ice creams in many different flavours (my favourites were rose and hazelnut!). Loved their tiny yet elegant venue; I just wished they’d open til late so I could pay them a visit after dinner!

Love going back to La Belle Miette. Their Macroons are certainly the best in town and not forget their Sorbets and Ice Creams.
My favourites is their Panna cotta Mango Ice Cream.
I think I gave this score without any doubt or hesitation. One of my fav place in Melbourne. Best macaroons in Aus and better price than Sydney’s laduree. Tired ice cream as well this time.. passion fruit with caramel. The ice cream is as delicious as ppl recommended~ ❤️
First visit to La Belle Miette and I felt like I was in Paris. Colourful and yummy macaroons were on display but I was after the ice cream. I never knew they sell ice cream until my colleague told me so. I chose the pistachio flavour with morello cherry gelee. It was truly yummy. Not overly sweet for me.
LA VIE EN ROSE :) Walking down Collins Street the other day I happened past this beautiful little French shop called La Belle Miette and simply had to stop and admire it then take a few photos. It has old world charm and character and really stands out. Once inside I marveled at the selection of teas, the Buddha Blue caught my eye but I chose the Marco Polo and a small pack of nine chocolates to sample.
The young girl at the desk was very friendly and helpful making suggestions about which ones were her favorites in both tea and chocolates and I left very satisfied with my selections. Upon getting home I sampled some of the chocolates and tried the tea. The chocolates were delicious little slices of heaven, flavorful, rich, creamy and unique. The tea was also very nice and soothing with great flavor and makes a nice change from drinking coffee all the time.
Put this one down on your 'special occasions' list when you're looking to get that certain someone in your life a special gift. :)
A bit of old French in Melbourne!
If you are looking for a place for tea and macarons, that will be your spot.
A really cute shop with only 4 tables and only one staff working there who would appear once you get close to the counter.
They have a good variety of teas, many cute and colourful macarons, chocolates and an interesting choice of ice cream flavours.
The girl who served us the ice cream disappeared behind a door while we had our ice cream. It felt so intimate. The ice creams looked small but ended up being a good quantity, they were not too sweet and were really fulfilling.
I tried their macarons and they are quite good too.
i've been all over melbourne and this is this only place i found that can make a proper macaron. soft center, hard but delicate shell and the fillings are done very well. nice little shop great staff, if you could only try macarons from one place this would be it.
Beautiful place with old french / English interior. Very nice good quality tea goes along well with macarons soft inside crispy perfect outside crust. Comfortable casual seating. Friendly staff. Overall rating 4.5*
This is the place to come if you love macaroons.
Lychee has a subtle flavor.
Early grey is more sophisticated.
Passion fruit has the strongest flavor but a bit too sweet.
At least half of the flavours aren't too sweet (ask the staff to recommend) so you can indulge without getting a massive sugar hit!!
Great macarons !!!! I miss them from Paris and I am glad To be able To find real one with the Perfect texture and amazing tastes. Favorites : salted caramel, a must, and the violet macaron. BEST comfort food ever.
I had 12 crunchy, airy, and flavourful reasons to agree that La Belle Miette has the best macarons in Melbourne. Special mention to their lychee and mango flavoured macarons.
La Belle Miette has the best macarons in the world! Beautiful, Fresh and full of flavour! We have travelled through Europe and tried macarons in 10 countries including France. We have even tried Ladurée macarons and they were a bitter disappointment compared to La Belle Miette's macarons which are pure heaven.
TIP: Not a fan of Best Seller Salted Caramel like us? The Violet & Blueberry macaron is our all time favourite and a must try.
Not a huge macaron fan, the shop caught my eye looked really cute and European. The hand painted wall paper is amazing. The gift options are good nice for presents. Bought a 6 pack in a gift box and tried one for the road I wasn't disappointed and have to say it's the best macaron I've had. I'm sure my friend will like her gift.
Cutest little place I've even been to, wish you guys served coffee too 😞
Beyond amazing macaroons
I've tried many flavours and love most but
Blueberry one is my absolute fav ❤️❤️
The other more decoratively, cute version of La Belle Miette.
Offers the identical sweets menu on this side of the CDB, the specialty items being the Macarons.
Most of the flavours are remarkable and can be purchased individually or in various quantities in gift boxes.
Treat yo self!
one of my favorite macarons!I once tasted the most famous macaron of Laduree, I think macaroons here are neck and neck with Laduree~some flavors are even better! Anyway, it worth to have a try here
Awesome desert place in Melbourne. Only few steps from the famous attractions in CBD and luxurious shopping street. This is also a great gift idea for all travellers to take home.
La Belle Miette has some of the best macarons I’ve ever tasted. In fact, the only macarons that I have had which were better were from Ladurée in Paris. With a crunchy outer shell and a soft middle, these macarons are a delicious treat. Also, because of their small size, I never feel too bad when I indulge in one (or two).
A cute little shop located in Hardware Lane where the macaroons were beautifully presented. Tried several of their flavors with raspberry and salted caramel being my favourites. Will definitely come back!
I have been buying macaroons here whenever I am having some serious cravings. By far this is the best one I have tried here in Melbourne. Earl Grey is my fave. My sis is also in love with this stuff. They also provide good service! Keep up the good work.
Stumbled across this little gem when we went to Melbourne the first time. It's only a little shop, but it looks beautiful and when you walk in, you see all the macaroons all lined up and you just want to buy and taste them all! Salted Caramel and Earl Grey are my favourites!
The store in general was very small but cute and cosy, wallpaper and other details made it very comfortable to be in, macaroons were nice generally, I found the blueberry one a bit weird to eat (maybe it's just me) packaging is very neat, staff is friendly and prices vary. I wouldn't say it is cheap it's average to high (price). Wide range of flavours I have to say earl grey is my favourite along with Caramel.😊
My friend bought me a dozen of macarons (macaroons?).... It was the sweetest thing ever as the packaging was so pretty. I died after eating the macarons.... It was so good. My god.
These macaroons are my first go to sweets when I'm trying to sweeten up my day. Made with love and to perfection, these petite sweets are the quintessential things to try when in Melbourne !
This was one of dessert stop in my exploration of Melbourne CBD and this place came highly recommended. You might just miss this place so keep your eyes open.
This I nicely done place which once u step inside takes you away from all the buzz in the street.
I tried the salted caramel one which came recommended from the beautiful lady behind the counter as I explained to her that I want try that flavour that sells like hot cakes sorry macaroon ;)
The best part about the macaroon was the filling was filled to my content it lasted till the last bite and that is how I like it.
Wow. Best macaroons I have had. Delicate flavours you can actually taste. The earl grey and chocolate one was delicious. Highly recommended.
Definitely some of the better macarons I've tasted! The flavours are distinct (I often find different macaron flavours sometimes tend to blend into similar tastes) and the shells are crispy, with a soft almondy inside.
One of the best macarons I have had ever! I have had a few but this place def takes the medal.
Soft crunchy chewy creamy flavourful diverse... One few of the many words I would use to praise this place. Im still on a search for the best macas out there but so far this place is no 1.
Quattro Yums
I love this place, wonderful sweet macarons in a place that is as picturesque as a shop in Paris. Always have freindly and helpful staff. I mostly enjoy talking to them as they take the time to suggest and recommend. Love this place!
Excellent selections of macaroons. Crispy outer shell while chewy in the middle. A bit biased but I love the pastel colours of the macaroons. It's true when people say that you eat first with your eyes.
Wonderful same store that always sell unique macaroons. They bring new flavours every season. DELISH! They also have a pop-up store in Chadstone Shopping Centre
One of the best places I have found for macaroons so far in Melbourne. Great crispy exterior with chewy middles and excellent pastel colors. Not overly sweet and very satisfying
The best macaroons I've had outside France. The shop is absolutely darling, and the Collins Street attendants are always so helpful and friendly. Such a convenient place to pick up my favourite Mariage Frères teas as well.
These are the best macarons I've had in Melbourne. A few years ago I was on the hunt for the best macarons I could find. Upon finding La Belle Miette, I knew I had to look no further. Some of my favourites back then included pimms and pomegranate (which I don't think is on the menu anymore), cherry blossom and sake, and violet and blueberry. Their more recent flavours, include lychee and coconut and peach and elderflower were also delicious! A couple of macarons and a cup of marco polo tea makes for a divine treat!
The most gorgeous macarons in Melbourne! Tiny morsels of deliciousness. Absolutely adore the vanilla, chocolate and jam scone flavours... Not to sweet and melt in your mouth and they always come in the most adorable little boxes!! Worth the calories
The premier macaron patisserie in Melbourne is without doubt La Belle Miette. They have managed to create these beautifully delicate and delicious macarons.
They’re not the biggest macarons you’ll find, but they make up for it in flavour and texture. How you create something with a perfectly crispy shell and soft centre, I don’t know, but they’ve done it. On top of that, they such a great array of flavours. I tend to stick to the classics – Vanilla (AHHHMAAAZING!), Salted Caramel, Chocolate and Hazelnut, but they have a huge selection of frutier flavours and of course a few creative ones like Scone with Jam and Cream, and Cherry Blossom and Sake.
La Belle Miette has long held the special place in my heart as the best Macarons in Melbourne. I adore their delicate pastel colours and their subtle but decadent flavours. By chance I was wandering past the Collins Street store and saw the special Mother’s Day flavours. Who am I to resist? Their packaging is incredible and due to the fact I am a complete sucker for packaging, I have a large majority of La Belle Miette’s gift boxes to store jewellery, washi tape and other random useless stuff that I passionately spend money on… So of course I was delighted in their simple but effective hint to a traditional jam jar. It’s those little things you know? The appealing colours of their macarons mean any flavour combination will look beautifully presented – and the lovely staff at La Belle Miette will take the time to order them in the most aesthetically pleasing way!
Perfect!. The macarons have beautiful small feet and the meringue biscuit is soft with a delicious chew to it when you take a bite. My favourite flavour is Violet & Blueberry. I would also recommend salted caramel if you haven't tried a macaron before. Simply divine!
Better than LaDurée. Thoughtful but not overwhelming flavours. Would definitely increase my waist size for these macarons.
I pass la belle miette every day on my way to work and on this blowy Friday afternoon I decided to walk and head here for some treats. Best macaroons I have had in melbourne. The salted caramel was divine. Really enjoyed the selection of flavours and the display case was very appealing and classy!
I bought macaroons from here for one of my friends for Valentine’s Day and was so surprised at how delicious they were! I particularly love the rose and the caramel ones. I love that you can choose which beautiful box and ribbon you would like. The service was great and I’ll definitely be purchasing these again.

📝: La Belle Miette means the “beautiful crumb”. They are Melbourne’s macaron and chocolate specialist patisserie.
❤️: Loved trying out all the different flavors—so yum and fun! My top favorite colors were the 🍋 Gin & Tonic, 🍮🍊Pana Cotta Mandarin, and 🍓💛❤️ Strawberry, Passionfruit & Rhubarb because tangy macaron flavors are the best 😋!!!
A beautiful little shop that was so cosy, and their macarons were famous for good reasons; creamy filling sandwiched in thin delicate crispy shells. They were not too sweet and there were various flavours you could choose from. Their ice cream was nice too!
We were here yesterday and tried 12 flavors (except gin/rose - cos we selected the 12 box). We couldn’t select a favorite. They were all good! The best macaroon place in Melbourne. The boutique store is very quaint. Also great for gifting and they do have premium boxes as well!
The macarons make amazing gifts.
Beautiful packaging, pleasing to the eye, and then later on, very pleasing to the stomach 🤣
They aren't ostentatiously sweet, like some other places. It's just pleasant, melts in the mouth, and is subtly, indulgently fragrant.
We had macarons from La Belle Miette as our wedding favour. The staff at La Belle Miette were easy to work with, the macarons were lovely and they were delivered promptly on the wedding day.
It’s a little hard to find cute desert places in Melbourne or it could be just me 😂 but I happened to come across La Belle Miette I got the berry mousse cake (which was my favourite, not too sweet) and the chocolate Roche (was quite sweet). Cute shop with a lot of macaroons or to have tea/coffee to chill.
Cute, petite and adorable. Not only will this little nook blow you away with decor beauty, the macaroons are elite and will have you question going anywhere else...
