Great place for a coffee. The staff are always polite and efficient. I can be in and out with minimal fuss.
The food was great! They have a great selection of sandwiches and mains. The coffee tasted watery and tasteless
It is one of my best cafes around my area! The quality of coffee is high and love the taste :) food wise, very sophisticated and tasty. Its bit of mix of Asian senses and love the decoration. Price is very reasonable compare to the food quality.
The classic burger on a brioche bun was great! Malaysian curry didn’t quite live up to the burger’s standard and food took really long to come out (felt like they banged together a curry in a rush to get the food out). Burger is definitely a goer, though!
I walk past this place on my gym route and have never known what's up those steps. Clearly I've been missing out because I've since peaked my head in and munched down some of their wares.Â

When one thinks of breakfast it's all eggs bacon and sausage, so it's refreshing when a cafe takes the humble breakfast and gives it a gentle twist. Dock dot is situated in the Royal Domain Plaza and the space has seen many incarnations over the years but I can safely say this one is the best.
The breakfast menu doesn't stray to much away from your traditional offerings but adds it's own unique twist that you are lead to believe you are experiencing something new.
So with that I can highly recommend the Dock Dot big breakfast. Whilst this is essentially a classic bacon and eggs they have managed to change just s few things that make it a tad special. The addition of grilled chorizo sausage, with perfectly grilled long bacon, sauté red onion and capsicum, spicy tomato relish and topped off with two poached eggs.
Topped it off with a freshly squeezed orange juice and you're bound to start the day off the perfect way.
The only negative is that the prices are slightly inflated for a cafe but you can forgive them because of the quality of the dishes.
Look forward to eating breakfast here more often.
Breakfast & lunches are superb. Winter soups are very tasty and are served in thick bowls which keeps them very hot. The eggs Benedict, are highly recommended. Sandwiches are generously sized and made fresh daily. Finally, the staff are always friendly and helpful. I'll be back for sure.
Moved into the area and have had breakfast here a few times. Ordered the classic eggs Benedict which is served a little differently with crispy prosciutto on a brioche bun. Basically very good. I don't drink coffee so can't help there.
I had the best experience here! The staff were super accommodating and made me a vegan meal out of the sides menu with no trouble at all. The coffee was also delicious! I highly recommend to everyone, including any vegan friends 🥰🥰🥰
Each time (many of times) I’ve ordered from this cafe the food is always fresh and tasty with the coffee on point! You’re always greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff. Thank you Dock Dot, see you at lunch? 😅

What a treat it was to be referred to this breakfast/brunch spot by my best mate. The restaurant is simply decorated but inviting and offers excellent, shaded views of St. Kilda Rd. The staff are absolutely lovely. Somaya in particular who served me with just the right amount of bubbly persona and organic human interaction. She was also beautifully presented.
The best strong skinny latte I had was prepared by another beautiful girl, Leina, who with efficiency and modesty made art of such a standard drink. She heeded my request for super strong well and the milk sipped was velvety and just the right temperature.
The eggs made my way was cooked to perfection by the marvelous Jack. Not too scrambled and runny/wet just how I prefer it. It tasted divine after first bite and I would recommend any fan of a simple breakfast this way. Simple but flavoursome. Practical to the busy as the food comes out lightning fast.
Look no further than Dock Dot if you are a fan of well cooked eggs and amazing coffee. It was a complete experience and even the parting was done beautifully by the enchanting Victoria.
