Hidden away behind the Virgin Active at the bottom of Collins Street Pho Nom has made queuing for food an efficient process. Twin registers and the Ye-ole-vibrating-pager when you meal is ready makes the short wait time all the more easy. I have generally always grabbed the pork belly Bahn Mi which I have always enjoyed but today tried the lemongrass chicken which was a step up again and sizeable for $9. The chicken was generous so fragrant and the chilli that I opted for gave a real zing ( and a watery nose). Will defiantly keep coming back here.

The bahn mi here was quite delicious. I could taste the shallots which they added to the bahn mi, which made all the difference. Ordered a crispy pork bahn mi via the hey you app, which came with a sweet 20% discount. For $6, this quick lunch was quite a winner. The bread is crispy, but perhaps it's less healthy cos they coated the crispy pork with some form of mayo. All in all, would def come back cos of the good location and pricing.
Im a fan of noodle soup, thats why i never hesitated Vietnamese noodle here in melbourne. The soup is more flavorful and the meat is more tender and plenty than the one i tried in the philippines. This dish is not complete without schiracha, chilli and fish sauce. A must try!
Banh mi is pretty good, fried chicken and sriracha mayo banh mi was a nice change to the traditional. Decent sized rice paper rolls.. the pork belly com is a substantial sized meal for lunch. Can’t go wrong here, will continue returning.
Pretty good meal I had here- Salt and Pepper chicken ribs! The place was super busy but it didn’t take too long to get my food, staff were rushing around but were friendly. Great for lunch.

Went here for lunch, its a hidden spot behind the Virgin Active building on Collins. Ordered the Pho Bo Hanoi - sliced rare beef and Banh Mi with crispy fried chicken. I like the idea of self serve of herbs, sprouts and chilies. They have different sizes for Pho would not suggest ordering small if you are really hungry. Quick service and friendly staff.
Points for: efficient service, flavoursome pho
Dine Time: Weekday lunch
Quite pleased with the Pho Bo Saigon here - the rice noodles aren't cooked to mush, still has a slippery bite to it. The soup itself, while I wish it was hotter, had good, fresh, beefy depth to it, without it tasting overly artificial, like other places can.
The beef balls are cut chunky, with a good chew to it.
I do wish they had the "special" version with the round sausage meat and tripe - don't be afraid to add it to the menu guys, even for a trial season!
Came here for lunch with a friend. There was a queue at the counter but we also managed to nab a table. I ordered the rice noodle with chicken and spring rolls. It was delicious and I definitely feel that the flavours were more authentic than other Vietnamese eateries in the CBD. Definitely would come back.
This is the perfect place to get your pho fix. The service is so efficient and the staff are very friendly. I normally go for the pho bo Hanoi which is delicious and great value for money.
LIT⭐️!: been here twice and everything had a flavour punch each time! The curry bun, the chicken rice and even the slaw. The bread of the banh mi was so crispy and warm just how you want it. Come for the food, stay for a good mood.
NOT SO LIT: wait for ice to melt a bit before you have the iced coffee
Some great fresh Vietnamese takeaway. My friend loves the vermicelli salads but my favourite is the Bahn Mi. Crispy pork belly is flavourful and the fresh chilli gives it that perfect kick. Definitely
Worth a try.
With not many good Pho option at that end of town, Pho Nom is my go-to. I love their cured salmon rice paper roll, and have tried their specials as well such as fried chicken wings, lemon grass pork chop rice and of course their Pho. Pretty good, servings are just a bit small for their price.
Service is always good, once they chopped open a young coconut for me so I can eat the flesh inside. Yum yum
Yum, really good Vietnamese, lots of fresh herbs, great broths in the pho soups, fresh rice paper rolls and yummy baguette style rolls. Very reasonably priced & quick lunch option.
Pho nom is my local during the working week. My fav is the crispy pork banh mi with delicious crispy crackling, fresh salad and crispy fresh bread roll. I'm salivating writing this review!
Their Pho Bo Saigon has me hooked (I'm a sucker for the meatballs). The soup is so deliciously addictive that I'm left craving for it every now and then. Whenever it's a cold rainy day, this is my goto lunch spot. Their rice paper rolls were ok, but a bit plain for me so really needed the extra dipping sauce to add some oomph.
Pho Nom must be one of the most hated franchise restaurants over on the Baghdad end of Collins St – hated by all the other eateries that is. The walk towards Pho Nom is like wandering through a deserted, umm, desert. But then one reaches Pho Nom and all of a sudden it’s New York City in peak hour. People everywhere. People eating, people waiting, people ordering, people dancing. Well, maybe not the dancing part, but I digress.
The Dear Luncher has visited Pho Nom approximately 10 times now, and has only been disappointed once. The source of said disappointment was a burst rice paper roll. HOW DARE THEY? The Dear Luncher still ate it of course, and it still tasted great. The Dear Luncher has sampled the Bahn Mi, the rice paper rolls, the Pho and the beef salad. Every time, it’s delicious. Every time, it’s crisp and fresh and fragrant and …The Dear Luncher has run out of superlatives.
Came here for lunch , it has improved since last time I came . I ordered sliced beef pho. The good thing here is self serve chilli lemon , basil mint and bean sprout so u can put as much as u want and adjust the taste. Plenty of sauce variety on each table. Only issue is very tight space and sitting area. Pho itself is alright but needs a lot of top up on self service before eating. It is an improving business so wish them good luck .
The pho is fresh which is good. The small size is really small... the meat is tender. It tastes good but a little bit expensive compared with other pho
I eat here twice a week because I work close by. The crispy fried chicken banh is amazing. The pork belly com with rice & half a soft poached egg is my fave. Sometimes I get 2 rice paper rolls- 1 roast pork with cracking & 1 lemongrass chicken. Everything is so good. They make their own lemon iced tea here & it's not too sweet so it's really amazing. I'm so happy this is so close by to my office. Also the staff are really nice & you don't wait ages for a take away order (a big plus for time poor me).
A fabulous attitude bright and cheerful set up, just downstairs from the new Virgin Active gym at the spencer street Collins street junction. Tasty fresh rice paper rolls for $3.50 a very decent size and 6 delicious choices. Will return
Grabbed a late lunch here… the food was good, it took a little while but I was there shortly before closing. Perhaps the baguette could have been crunchier but over all I really enjoyed it.
Only been in Melbourne for two weeks and work near the Deloitte building on Collin street and didn’t know where to start for good food. Came across Pho Nom and their Pho broth is super tasty and perfect to have on a cold weather and together I had the cafe su da (traditional Vietnamese ice coffee). My lunch buddy got the $12 deal which is on the top left of the Pho noodle, which came with a drink, traditional rice paper roll and mini pho bo (beef noodle in a cup).
Ate the Salt and Pepper Chicken Ribs and the Pork Springrolls, both were tasty and reasonably priced at $15 for both.
