Friendly and simple with modest portions focused on quality ingredients in the meals. Consistently good coffee, and some nice smoothies on the menu. Scuttlebutt is a welcoming local café.
Scuttlebutts is VERY expensive compared to other cafes in South Melbourne.
Small sized meals and coffee – POOR VALUE FOR MONEY!
They have just done “mail drop offs” to relaunch themselves however haven’t addressed the real problem which is:
1) way too expensive 2) small food portions and 3) small
I used to work nearby and I miss the delicious soups in winter served with toasted bread. They do good coffee and also offer a great selection of focaccias and made to order hot food.
I had coffee here, a brownie and the delicious chili scrambled egg on bread with extra crunch. Staff take time and are very friendly.
Great team churning out delicious baguettes and baked goods, along with spot on coffees and smoothies.
Nothing groundbreaking but everything done really well.
ohh yes this is a great place.i go there all 5 days for coffee. sarah and Husband does a great job with this cafe.
