I absolutely love toodouri! It's my favourite go to KBBQ in Melbourne. I would love it if you guys consider introducing your own delivery service during Melbourne's Stage 4 Lockdown. So even people in the suburbs can order !
Great place to enjoy reasonably priced kbbq! The service was excellent, and food very tasty. Would definitely return.
My new fav place for Korean BBQ.
They serve quality meat here. The pancake was great, the egg rolls were beautiful. But most importantly to me, the service was amazing. Very attentive, always help us with grilling and cutting the meat. Very generous with side dishes.
My only negative was the seating on level 2 doesn't have a good insulation so the smells will stay a little.

What better way to celebrate a birthday with your favourite cuisine, Korean
The place felt very traditional with the metal tables and small stools to sit on - took me back to Korea!
We ordered the scotch fillet, beef bulgogi and spicy pork belly for the meats. Each and one of them had their own distinct flavour. The beef bulgogi and scotch fillet was the highlight of the dinner, with the scotch fillet being so juicy and tender. The bulgogi taste was addicting and I wish I could have more.
The spicy pork belly had a garlicky gochujang flavour which was alright for me.
We also ordered corn cheese and kimchi pancake for sides. The corn cheese was incredibly tasty and full of tangy sweetness to it. I especially loved the stretchy cheese pull hehe. The kimchi pancake was delicious, with the complimentary sauce they provided, however, I would have preferred a crispier coating on the pancake. Will come back to try the seafood pancake!
A really good Korean BBQ restaurant with great value, flavours and options.
Located amongst a myriad of Korean BBQ restaurants near the Queen Vic Market, we tried Toodouri today and were very pleased with the quality and taste of options her. Corn cheese was abundant with cheese, kimchi pancake was a solid consistency, and the meats (scotch fillet, bolgolgi, and spicy pork belly) were really well marinated and flavoured. Top that up with free refills on the condiments and you have yourself a really good option for kbbq.
Worth every dollar, and had a really close, intimate restaurant experience here- worth returning to!

We always enjoy our meal at Toodori. The staff are very friendly and attentive, they will change your grill plate everytime it starts getting burnt without you having to ask. Their meat is good, and they have different promotions every single day. They are very generous with their side dishes and they give you sliced chilli and sliced garlic if you want.
Toodouri offers a decent variety on the menu from barbecue to cooked dishes to Korean stews. Between four of us we had ox tongue, wagyu, rib meat, chap chae and army stew. It was plenty for all of us with two bowls of rice to share. The servings are quite large. The meat was quite tender, I recommend the rib meat for flavour and tenderness. The chap chae is quite sweet but very tasty. The army stew isn’t as rich as I’m used to but still very tasty and not too spicy. Overall and great dinner and reasonably priced, worked out to be less than $40 per person and we could’ve easily fed a 5th.
Ate here on NYE. Wagyu set was super yummy! But it probably wouldn’t fill you up. We had to order some extra meat as we were still feeling hungry. Decor could be improved but honestly it’s such a hidden gem.
Solid KBBQ place in North Melbourne. Service is good nice hot charcoal and tasty side dishes. Value for $ is good as portions are larger than average KBBQs in Melbourne.
The foods are nice and I'm really happy with their service. If you want to taste char grilled bbq definitely this place would be perfect. A lot of things come together(side dishes) and love them too. Will go on weekdays as they provide discounts for different meats for each day.
I really enjoyed BBQ there and all the staffs were friendly. I will definitely visit again and recommend to my friends too:) (Should really try beef rip BBQ Lol)
My first visit to Toodouri surpassed my already high expectations for their food. The bulgogi stew was great and the side dishes (kimchi, bean sprouts, etc) were nice as well. Will be back to try the BBQ soon!
We were craving Korean BBQ pretty late into the evening at 8:45 and ended up with a quick reservation at this adorable joint opposite Queen Victoria Market.
Food: we ordered the Combo set b which surprising didn’t come with rice but did have soup, some veggies and the complementary side dishes. The meet wasn’t frozen and were thick, juicy and cooked to perfection by the attentive staff. Every bite was so good! Pork belly was thick, juicy and not frozen! The bulgogi wasn’t burned out and over cooked or dry as it can happen with other bbqs. The meat quality was really good overall. We also ordered scallion salad which was predominantly lettuce to our disappointment. And lastly we had some japchae which was really delicious and quite cheap. Mandatory soju was also ordered and enjoyed.
Service: excellent customer service! Such kind, attentive and professional staff. There was a drunken man who came into the shop to cause a ruckus and made racist slurs and was really annoying but the staff handled the situation so politely, quickly and professionally. I was really pleased!
It is a very nice venue for big groups. We went here for a team building activity and had really good time. I loved various options of combos that we could choose. I’m craving for these ones again now
Spinning Round Horse Kick
+4
The pork belly is the best! They are really thick not like other restaurants serving the thin ones. The staff there are helpful as well, often came to help cooking the meat, even tho they’re busy. One of my friends who usually doesn’t like pork, she ate a lot today, she said the pork belly there is not smelly.
Friends recommended us this place and we was very happy with the foods. Came here on Saturday night & the place absolutely jammed. Love their Warm and cozy atmosphere, staffs very friendly and helpful. Great menu and affordable prices. One of the best Korean bbq restaurants in town. Can't wait to go back.😁
This place was so delicious! I loved the warm and cozy atmosphere, the helpful and friendly staff also, the only downside is that there isn’t much seats in the restaurant. We ordered set Combo B for 4 people, it was enough and everyone was happy and satisfied. Pricing was affordable!! Highly recommend :)
Went on a Friday night and was super busy. Luckily we made a booking so we didn't have to wait. We ordered the Beef Set B and the Pork Scotch Fillet. The LA Galbi were amazing and the marinate was delicious, I high recommend it. The Beef bulgogi was nice, nothing spectacular and the Pork scotch fillet was chewy. The service was very good and they continuously refilled our side dishes as they were so delicious and finished them straight away. This is one of the better KBBQ joints along Victoria st.
Great price especially for late night eats - with their awesome happy hour promo! Bbq meats were marinated well...unfortunately though this may seem like an easy feat, not many korean places get the marination right. Pancake was yummy... but would've preferred the accompanying sauce to have a little more tang and sweetness. Overall, good experience!
Usually end up here for dinner as we can get a table by “walk in”. Simple and good Korean bbq that satisfies my craving. An area that can be improved is more marinade for the meat😀
Really authentic korean restaurant, great incentive to pay with cash 5% discount. They cook and turn the meat for you and regularly turn it. Nice staff. Good for functions where they’re super accomodating
Probably gonna be the best Korean bbq I'll ever go to. However the prices on the menu on Zomato didnt match the prices there, it was a little bit more pricey. I got the combo set B, I really liked the marinated beef, it had a sweet tabg to it which really brought out the beef a lot. The pork belly was very juicy. However, don't leave the marinated beef on the bbq for too long it gets it little dry. My favourite side dish was the macaroni coleslaw, it has a sweet tang to it which made it very addicting.
Brought my little cousin here to celebrate his birthday a few days ago. The food was delicious, especially for the price! Our bill came to $340 including drinks and all 6 of us left with food babies! Very satisfying and we will be back for more.
Best Korean BBQ restaurant hands down. The meats are tender, the service is fast and efficient, and I love the way they replace the grill so often to keep it clean.
Having travelled to Seoul a couple of times now and eating our way through that city (and Melbourne of course), if anyone asks what my favourite casual KBBQ place is, it’s this. Hands down.
Toodouri brings me back to Korea. The price is affordable and servings are generous in comparison to the surrounding restaurants.
We always order Kimchi Jiggae (Kimchi Stew w/ Pork) and Sam Gyup Sal (Pork Belly).
Kimchi stew is rich in flavour and pork belly is nice and thick and their grill is the perfect pairing for a nice char.
If you’re looking for a casual, no BS Korean bbq place, Toodouri is the place to be!
I swear there must be some magical ingredient inside their chap jae because it is soooo delicious! Perfect texture and chewiness, I really can't wait to come back again! Oh and of course their meat is excellent ;)
One of my top bbq on my favourite list. “Fresh” pork belly & silky tofu soup are always on my table when I be there. Especially spring onions salad side dish which go well for every single bbq meat.
Another delicious find near the renowned VIC market. For good and flavourful Korean BBQ that doesnt break the bank then this is the place to visit. Cooking meat over the hot charcoal added a nice kick to the well marinated meat that were cut just right; not too thick or too thin. Staff was also efficient to regularly change the hot plate so you don't need to worry about cooking meat over burnt sauces. The dokbokki was also yummy as it was made with cheese filled rice cakes drench in delicious sauce.
Busy street with a heap of Kbbq places around. We decided to try out luck with a random Korean BBQ place which happened to be this one. The restaurant looked small but also have an upstairs area where it was more quiet. We ordered the group set combo which had 2x scotch, 2x chicken, 2 pork belly and a beef stew. The beef stew had lots of flavour in the soup and tasted amazing! I could have drank it all by myself! They cook the food for you one by one and let you digest a bit as it comes but for $128 the set is more than enough for 4 people. I'd definitely come back. The staff were super friendly too with a smile on their faces all the time!
I came here with my friends to celebrate her birthday. We were seated upstairs and it was quite comfortable for our group. The pork was yummy and the service is ok. Although it was a little hard to communicate.
My go to place for kbbq!
Their Kim chi soup very tasty and perfect for cold nights.
Toodouri provides delicious sauces and condiments. Their complimentary pasta is the best and they will always refill the sides free of charge.
We always order the wagyu cube roll and the galbisal, both beefs are very juicy and tender.
Pork belly is our next order, it can be a hit and miss for this one as their can be quite a lot of fat on the pork belly, toodouri used to serve pork belly that was not smothered in fat.
The mild chicken wasn't too bad itself, although probably wouldn't order it again, I'm not sure what it is but I think it's the seasoning of the chicken, it didn't blow our socks off, probably because we already have that kind of seasoning in our Asian diet.
A nice casual atmosphere, great place for dinner on any occasion. We ordered the combo set B which included: pork belly, beef bulgogi, LA beef rib and a kimchi soup. Also ordered seafood pancake, japchae and ox tongue. Serving size was perfect and the meats were all flavoured well. The seafood pancake had a generous amount of seafood compared to most Korean places I've been to. The japchae had a good mix of veggies and the kimchi soup was delicious with a generous amount of pork belly and tofu. Side dishes were to die for. We kept asking for refills of the pasta and kimchi. The only let down was the rice which was a tad dry and not included in the combo and the japchae didn't include much beef. Pricing is decent, bit pricier than most Korean places but definitely worth. Customer service is fantastic.
One of my favourite places for korean bbq. Although it isn't cheap, the meat is something special and fresh. Tastes absolutely mouth watering. Thats the only way I can describe it. Last time I went they had weekday specials on meat which was cheap and tasty.
Came here with a recommendation from a friend with it being the best and cheap. We had the beef set, doesn't come with rice, wasn't exactly cheap, it was approx 46. Shared it with only one other person and was still super hungry after.
Upside: the people working there are SUPER SWEET, EFFICIENT and friendly.
My go to place for kbbq!
Their Kim chi soup very tasty and perfect for cold nights.
Toodouri provides delicious sauces and condiments. Their complimentary pasta is the best and they will always refill the sides free of charge.

The manager there is very lovely and has given us complimentary bong bongs before (probably because we over ordered once).
The waitresses are attentive, however could learn to smile and try to at least engage with the customers.
There's one girl there that always serves us and she just brings the mood downhill for the kbbq experience. There has been times where she would slap the meat on the hot platter and oil would splatter on us...
Other than that, great food but a tad overpriced.
Take your lover, friends and family here.
Authentic and affordable! The service is on point, staff are friendly and help with the cooking. Food wise, good cuts of tasty meats and there are daily specials for different cuts of meat for different days of the week. Also happy hour meats Friday and Saturday late night 😍
When you enter the shop and you are asked to go the upstairs, the journey was like you were in the mist. All smoke all over the place.
Regardless, that is their style and it doesn't stop me from experience good korean BBQ cuisine. Meat are well marinated and the sauce were well-balanced. Good job!
After being turned down for a walk-in visit from Yeonga albeit arriving before 6pm, my brother and I decided to try this place out since it was the least busy on the strip of korean bbq restaurants. We absolutely loved how quick and amazing the service was. The staff were attentive when cooking our meats and they kept changing the bbq plates so that nothing burns. Highlight was the thick slabs of pork belly. Perfect ratio of lean meat to fat. Bulgogi and LA galbi were okay. Would definitely come back for more of the pork. Love this place for its quality and a no fuss ambience! Highly recommended.
A random night out in Melbourne brought 6 of us to this establishment on a late Friday night. We sat upstairs which was definitely a different vibe to downstairs, felt cluttered and run down compared with what was downstairs - recommend sitting down there. On to the food, wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. Considering there's 2 other KBBQ restaurant in close distance you need to be on top of your game and this just fell short for us. Food was very salty and the service, while nice, did forget to mention a particular drink wasn't available after we'd already ordered it and had to follow up with where it was. The meat was good but you can get much better a short distance into the CBD. Maybe an off night for them so give them a chance for yourself!
Poor ventilation, minimal interior and small seating. Be prepared to come out smelling like smoke. Plus side refillable sides and they change the plates after each meat. Service wise, waiters flip your meat.
Ordered the combo set b that came with pork belly, beef bulgogi, la ribs and kimchi stew. kimchi stew is ok, suprisingly not overly spicy. Thick cut pork belly is delicious, beef bulgogi is well seasoned though the ribs were tough. The cold noodle soup was average but kind of sour.
The BBQ was really nice! The pork belly and chicken were especially good. The ambience was quite nice too. The wait staff were quite friendly and happy to help. They even cook your meat for you too!
The meal overall was great, but was a little steeper than what I've other Korean BBQ joints. There's a 5% off the bill if paid by cash, but a surcharge (I think it was 2%?) if paid by card. Just remember to bring your cash when dining here!
Decent food, tastes relatively authentic. The stew that was ordered from the 128 set menu quite average and left much to be desired. The barbecue portions however were quite generous. Big slabs of meat cooked on coals resulted in a very aromatic and juicy bite. The waiting staff were attentive and changed the grill with every subsequent serving of meat, making sure that nothing burnt affected the next plates of meat. They also came often to assist with the cooking as well which was nice. One complaint would be the lack of air vents or fans which resulted in the room being filled with smoke which was not pleasant. Overall good experience.

This restaurant is the best Korean BBQ restaurant in Melbourne. Love everything about this place, nothing can be said that would be negative.
I go to this restaurant like once a week! Must try
Be prepared for the long wait!! Would be a good idea to make booking before coming to this place. This place is by far the most authentic Korean BBQ I've had, would recommend the pork belly (samgyeobsal). Side dishes are refillable and even though the tiny store is busy as, staffs are really friendly and very approachable. Service is great, didn't have to cook the meat ourselves, they come every now and then to do the flipping and the cutting.
Another tip: don't shower before going there, coz you will come out smelling like K BBQ.
Seafood pancake hit a high note. Also did the BBQ, pork belly set. Added the pork cheek or jaw or something couldn't remember lol was fatty but delicious! I could see my heart stroke rate hit high but worth it ! Loved their side dishes couldn't remember how many times I asked again and again! Their ox tongue BBQ dish was normal, nothing worth mentioning. Had their rice bibimbap last week so am really satisfied overall!
Won't you take me to Korean town ......
Remember the tune .... won't you take me to funky town ....?
That's the kind of "buzz" you'll get walking around outside Queen Victoria Market these days, it has turned for the better, more and more Korean restaurants around ..... So glad this once "abandoned" section of Melbourne after 5 pm turned into a happening "Korean town" .... just about every two doors is a packed Korean BBQ house, some with queues as they don't take a reservation, why? It's getting cold in Melbourne.
Must go for their Banquet Grill Menu ..... that's how to enjoy it properly.
It's a little bit strange looking at the Menu, a Group Combo Charcoal BBQ Set Menu for $138.00 to be shared by 5-6 people .... hhhmmmm, we have 8 people, so we've ordered 1 set of Group Combo and a few more dishes;
2 Serves of Beef Scotch Fillet + 2 Serves of Pork Belly + 2 Serves of Chicken (mild/spicy) + Bulgogi Stew
A serve of Egg Rolls
Dumplings for 8
2 x Jap Chae
and we ended up with a bill of around $240for our group, not bad at all.
All spot on, easy to enjoy, nothing too spicy for some.
BYO is the way to go, not a lot of option in house.
Cash only is the way to go, even an incentive of 5% discount while a hefty % added for using your credit card.
And the tune continuous as you leave ..... Won't you take me to Korean town .....
Aside from table being way too small for 5 people and poor ventilation, the food was unbelievable. Had the $128 meat tray - wagyu beef, pork belly and chicken, which also included a hearty soup at the end. Plenty of condiments and rice. Was delicious and filling. Great service.
My go to Korean BBQ place in Melbourne! The food is fresh, delicious, great value and the staff are so lovely. The side dishes are free with constant top ups and the sauces are delish. We love you toodouri. :)
Very friendly service with smooth booking and understanding for being late. Not stingy on their side sauces dips which I love! Meat was well marinated and superb with a lively atmosphere. Guys should check that place out but booking is essential as it does get pretty damn busy!
Nothing stand out except egg roll, which is similar to joomak. BBQ is normal, and seafood pancake is not crispy at all. Service is in moderate level. Feel kind of cold inside. Might not come again.
My boyfriend was here on a Saturday night for dinner. We ordered the combo set B for 2, and that was enough for the both of us. Food was good, perhaps a little more on the pricey end considering the amount of food we were given. The staff kept coming over to cook our meat every 2-5 minutes also, which was awkward at times because we were trying to eat. But otherwise I enjoy our experience here.
Been hitting this place for years but service and the love has gone down a bit, although must try with out a doubt. If your hungry and want kbbq this place is the go they make u feel rushed but food is always on point! Wagyu , prime ribless beef, egg roll, pasta entrees, pork belly they got it all and won't disappoint your stomach.
I personally like the food there. They taste really good, one of the best on i tried. Compare to another Korean bbq restaurant that is more expensive in town, I actually prefer their food. Their kimchi pancake is 100 times better than the one I'm comparing too. However, their exhaust fan is not working very well, or maybe much worse compare to the others. My shirt smell disgusting after the dinner and their price is not that cheap either.
In our past experience with Korean BBQ, 3 different types of meats plus side dishes was too much for just my bf and I. So we ordered the smaller Beef Set A ($43.50) which includes Scotch Fillet, Beef Bulgogi and Kimchi soup, 2 bowls of rice ($2.00 each) and Egg Roll ($14.90). . The round tables at Toodouri look cramped, especially when eating Korean BBQ means having multiple plates of meat, side dishes and sauces set on the table, but eating here with just us two was manageable.
I visited here to eat pork ! Most of my friends said that their pork is great, yes it was true !!! Their pork taste was great ! If you like pork you should visit here! I also tried beed tongue and marinated beef rip, tongue was good but marinated beef rip was not worth it to eat and over priced. Friendly staff but feels like we have to eat asap and leave after finish eating asap, staff grill meat so fast.
Been here twice and i'll come back for the lovely kimchi stew and spicy pork on the grill. Unfortunately the other items were lacking depth in flavour, and there were no-top ups on the side dishes.
Love going back to Toodouri. This time I tried its kimchi jeon which I didnt manage to try on my first visit. It was good and fluffy. Ordered bimbimbap and noodle soup again and both still tasted good. Second visit and more to come
Not a bad place to indulge in some Korean BBQ.
Very cheap and yummy BBQ sets with lovely stews and soups. Favourite cut would be the fresh pork jowl, and the japchae is also pretty good.
One my favourite korean bbq places. Not too expensive but delicious meat with good portion sizes. The jap chae and kimchi soup is also really good. Would recommend to friends and family
Love this place. Food is yummy.
In my opinion the pork is cooked really well here. The pasta thing is good. Soups are good. Overall good! On the weekends they have happy hour.
I've been here twice and I am kinda getting addicted to come here more often. The customer service provided is satisfying, price is reasonable and food is delicious.
I've been coming to Toodouri for over 5 years now and they've been consistent with everything. Love everything on the menu. All the soups and entres are amazing.
Minor down sides: Downstairs can be really smokey & when it's busy, the staff will rush your meal by cooking the meat as fast as possible (but that's with every Korean BBQ restaurant). So a tip from me is ask for upstairs as it's less clustered and rushed. Still good regardless!
I love the pork belly ! Its so fresh and pink and juicy and delicious :)! I dont know well about beef i felt it is over priced but overall i will visit here again ! To eat all 4 different kind of pork !
I have been here ages ago but now that I am wearing my reviewer glasses, decided to try again. There are 3 Korean restaurant in this area side by side, Hallah is famous for fried chicken, the other one not sure and Toodouri is a BBQ joint. As a piece of advice, don't go ground floor the smell of other people's bbq will make you full and sick . Take the second floor much more relaxed and better. I did it this time and good decision. Now about the food.
One thing I notice is that they lack 0-10$ range Entre in the menu which is a negative but I guess the free side that always comes with most Korean restaurants kinda makes up for it? Kimchi is not great here but the Pasta salad is nice. We got the Pork Combo with Kimchi soup. Soup was quite average 2.5/5.
BBQ was awesome but the size compared to value $$ is quite small (overall factor 4/5).
We got the Omelette with Cheese which looks yum but taste like omelette you can make at home with ketchup sauce. So 3/5 is a fair enough grade for this. Staff are nice and not biggie on anything else. Go there but no signature dish or wow factor and not the best Korean tried. But ye fair enough food.
3.5/5
The food is really nice and as a bonus it looks like those typical bbq places you see in korean movies and dramas. I had marinated pork belly and it was just sublime! It was my first time to korean bbq, let alone my first time having pork belly and I was definitely not left disappointed. We also tried marinated chicken and beef and they were also really nice. For those who are first-timers who don't know when to turn the meat, just let the waiter in charge of you know that you're new and they'll take care of you. I also had kimchi pancakes which were nice but could've added a bit more kimchi to remove the batter taste. The egg rolls were also a nice addition to our side dishes. I'll probably try some other stuff like the cold noodles which looked amazing when the person next to our table ordered. Overall, it was a nice experience and I'll be back if I want korean bbq. By far this place is the best compared to the ones where I went, though a bit on the pricier side. Only thing you should take note of before deciding to check this place out is that they don't give you white rice, from my memory I believe it was multigrain rice which I'm not a fan of and unfortunately you cannot get it substituted.
The service at Toodouri has improved heaps since the first time I went there. The quality of meat has gotten a lot better as well. I LOVE CHEAP PORK BELLY TUESDAYS. This place is definitely worth checking out!
Me and my partner came on a friday night our frist time eating korean bbq luckly wasnt very crowed. It was really exciting and scary at frist but lucky the emlopees helped us cook the meat :) it was abit loud for a date for 2 people but really fun we had a good time and price is really reasonable. Service was friendly :)
Good place! The meat was very good although i would like to had more vegetables on the side. The beef marinated was just so good. And chicken marinated was okay. Vegetables dumplings were a bit fat though. Waiters was very friendly.
I can see why this is a student's hot favourite. Prices are pretty reasonable. For a dish of $12-$15 of meat, you get a whole range of side dish veggies unlimited my replenishable. You can order a serving and 2 rice and it's good for a meal :)
Decently good Korean bbq place. Very smokey though
Hahappieats
I know theres alot of Korean bbq places all around melbourne but this has to be one of my favourite one. All i can say about this place is that its fast, its cheap, great customer service, good vibes, and very simplistic place to go have a feed at if you are indecisive of picking a place to go to. The food fits the price 😁👍👍👍
