Have been coming here for lunch for over a year after I heard a bunch of coworkers rave about this place, the range of curry they have is amazing and full of flavour. There are always lines at this place but it moves fairly quickly, decent serving size for a good price. Love their chickpea curry. Only criticism, I feel as if the portion size have decreased over time, but it is still a decent amount for me and filling as I usually eat half and save half for tomorrow’s lunch.

530 Collins has a lovely atrium area beside glass lifts going up 14 floors. Over the years they've converted this space into a food court with better than average seating and tables well spaced apart. Makes for a quiet & private cafe feel. Anyway choice of the day was Spice Kitchen ... clientele looked 95% male but anyway nice! ... Meat Thali chosen but mate and I (beef vindaloo, chicken masala, basmati rice, naan & raita) ... all for $11.50. Champagne lunch on a beer budget. Wolfed down with a spicy smile between.
They have many chicken dishes which are seen in all Indian restaurants in Melbourne. But what stands out is the quality of chicken. Very soft and juicy which is not common among food court shops. Very tasty!!!!
Upon entering this corporate food court, you will most likely see a decent yet fast moving queue at Spice Kitchen. The meals move quickly and have variety of meal sets for every pallet. for those like myself with low chili tolerant, I'd recommend the egg plant and butter chicken. The majority ask for the mix thali (one vegetable, one meat with rice for $10.50 at the time of this review). Staff are well organised, friendly and helpful to newcomers. Dishes are a generous portion when eating in (but get a bit less when taking away).
Awesome chicken... great spices... a hot and tasy meal is what one needs in this winter!!!!!
And yes is staff is very friendly too... its recommended
The best food court curry going around. If you've skipped out on breakfast, this is the place to go. Makes you feel loved even when nothing else in life is going right. A genuine delight.
Tasty and value. Tasty food, good selection. Best food court Indian food around. Better than a lot of resturants. Recommed must try
Yummy. I eat lunch here at least once a week. You have to get in before 12pm because the line can be very long. The meals are quite filling and comforting. If you see a really long line of people, you know it's delicious!
Lot of non veg dishes, had a chicken biryani.
Not as good as hyderabadi dough.
Tasty indian food. Long queue most of the time!
Nice indian food. Many options to choose from to have a warm hearty cooked food. Flavours and spices are just right. Neat and tidy display. And good serve size too. Go for it.
