I had a quick lunch. I was in and out in 30 mins. I had the lamb salad. It was coming with grilled veggies, boconcinni cheese on a bed of wild rocket. The lamb was perfectly cooked. The lamb and veggies had a nice char to it. The overall salad mix was delicious and well balanced. I had a glass of sparkling wine to compliment. I would go again and order the same. For the quality of the food and i am happy with the pricing.

Have come here multiple times in the past. Today was a real disappointment. Customer service was average, food was O.K (Used to be excellent), atmosphere was good.

Not capable of getting the order right. First gave me someone else's order. Then gave me my vegetarian order but topped with meat. Then behaved rudely when i complained.
But if you like getting what you didn't order served with a side of bad customer service, then this place is great.

Great atmosphere and really well made burgers! Always enjoy seeing a place do more than just basic food, and Beluga seems to look for the right ingredients to add to whatever you might be ordering.
Try the Beef Burger. Or any of the other burgers. They're an experience waiting to be had.

This is one of the better lunch time places on this part of St Kilda Rd. Best hamburgers in the area as well as roast chicken/lamb rolls as well as doing a really good beluga breakfast roll. The menu changes on eveyr day of the week so they cater well to the surrounding office workers.

I was blown away with the service I received last Tuesday the 19th of February at around 3pm, it was just embarrassing- I was getting some lunch for my 72 year old mother she was standing beside me choosing a sandwich from the fridge and when she asked the very arrogant man at the counter what was in one of the sandwiches he pointed at the side wall menu and told her to read it, the menu is absolutely full of meals, she said in a very nice way ‘we will be here all day if I have to go through all of that hahah’ he rolled his eyes and called us something under his breath.
The girls that work there were absolutely beautiful when we were leaving I told them what had happened and they apologised on behalf of the cafe. I work in the area and have had coffee there many times but after this I will definitely not be going there again. The guy was not very tall small build and between 30-36 years of age blue / green eyes brown hair- I didn’t get his name, so if the owner reads this you really need to sort your staff our they are the face of your business!

This place is usually good but very disappointed with last few expereiences hence my review here. last week, ordered large coffee takeaway and person at the counter didnt understand and made me a small size. I had to argue when the coffee was ready. this morning, ordered crossient and large coffee again. asked crossient to be toasted - made me wait for 10 mins and just gave the crossient from the self. coffee, the person making coffee realised that I asked takeaway, the pours the coffee from normal cup to takeaway cup in front of me and when I asked about extra hot with after bit of an argument same coffee reheated and handed over to me. Is this the service standards we need to expect??? I have been your regular customer so far but would be thinking twice before coming next time. Specially for a coffee.

I had a nice coffee here today. The service was really friendly from the waiter and the woman who made me my coffee. <br/><br/>I love walking into a place and feeling genuinely welcomed. <br/><br/>My strong skinny latte was good and for $3.50 it was great value. This is a great place to grab a coffee.

Had lunch at Beluga and staff fantastic and very friendly. My salad I would have to say was most enjoyable. I normally ask for dressing on the side as normally salads get drenched in dressing however the dressing was just the right amount so as not to loose the flavour of the salad. My husband's meal was excellent as well and we will most definately return. In fact searched the website to see if the salad was on there as I would like to make myself. Well done!!!

Pros: looks nice and good customer service<br/><br/>Cons: expensive for the quality and quantity of food. I would pay 50% for this. Not coming back again. Chicken avocado was chicken with a hint of avocado; not good. A colleague is still waiting while everyone finished their lunch.

Save yourself the insult. Ignored by 3 staff before the lady at counter got off her iPad to serve me. Waited outside before realising they had forgotten my coffee. Asked for water and told 'its by the coffee machine' . Possibly my worst experience ever at a melbourne cafe.

Sandwich. My father and I came into Beluga for a quick coffee and sandwich. In my sandwich there was an egg shell. <br/>My father went in and told the manager and the manager then informed the lady who then came out and apologized. <br/>Top quality. To have the manager get right on the issue and have the lady come out really impressed me.<br/><br/>Food is great and so are the staff!

Great little place. I come here often on lunch breaks, and absolutely love it. While the food isn't exactly cheap, it's good food. Love the selection of toasted ciabattas and sandwiches, plus the chef's specials (which I hope to try more of in the coming months). Would definitely recommend- already seems to be a popular place for many of the staff at the Alfred!

This place is the shiz! Having recently moved to Melbourne near Commercial Road, I found this place whilst waiting to meet my real estate agent. It is now my go to place for a tasty meal or coffee. Their selection of desserts are also worth a try! Dee-licious!

Yummy little lunch place. Just stopped in for a quick colleague lunch and see no reason why I wouldn't return or suggest someone else check it out. I had the chicken burger which was really good. Colleague had a basic sandwich- there are lots of those but menu also features a chef's selection of hot meals. Cute place.

The coffees at Beluga are well regarded as the best on Commercial Rd. They arrive in decent time, but unfortunately this time around the coffee has been burnt. This aside, the baristas generally do an amazing job..<br/><br/>After receiving my coffee I wait for my Eggs Montreal (Aka salmon eggs Benedict)<br/><br/> The rushed waitress (that’s about as specific as I can get I’m afraid) delivers the meal. The salmon Benedict on toast has an abundance of its namesake breakfast fish, and the eggs are well poached and drowned in a rich hollandaise sauce.<br/><br/>Overall my meal was good, however the cafe just lacks warmth, the staff a very rushed and forget the importance of a smile or a sense of acknowledgement.

I've been there nwarly every week and most occassions the saneiches were average. Decided to try the hot food today, and the curried roasted vegetable soup was delicious! It had all the right flavours with a hint of spice (curry powder) and the chips were nice, hot and crispy (not soggy and drenched in oil)!

Yes! The iced mocha is bloody fantastic as mentioned beforehand. Had their chicken sandwich on multigrain as well and that was beautiful too :) lovely atmosphere, service, food and coffee. Couldn't ask for anything more :)

Great Iced Mocha. Whilst not cheap, Beluga does what they do well: good coffee and good food. <br/><br/>Their iced mocha is the nicest I've had; instead of receiving a pre-prepared drink you are given a large glass containing milk, ice and a large scoop of good vanilla ice cream. Accompanying this are two small jugs, containing coffee and great warm chocolate syrup, thus enabling the drinker to choose the strength of each element.

Great Coffee!. This place has great coffee! I especially like their iced coffee, which is done with a glass of cold milk, with a scoop of yummy vanilla ice-cream, and a carafe of coffee to mix to your liking!!<br/>And the little chocolate coffee beans don't hurt!

Great Coffee. The coffee at Beluga is great, plus, they give you free chocolate coffee beans which helps their rep. Lunch is a little pricey though with sandwiches and baguettes sitting around the $10 mark.
