Brothers Keeper is a cute cafe conveniently located close to Kooyong station.
Visiting for Sunday breakfast we opted to sit in the courtyard out back. We ordered the ricotta Hotcake and the zatar cauliflower tempura with an added poached egg to eat along with coffees, a chai latte and a golden latte to drink.
Everything came out beautifully presented. I loved the zatar cauliflower tempura. The cauliflower was nice and crispy and worked beautifully with quinoa salad, I especially loved the burst of flavour from the pomegranate. I recommend adding the poached egg, it nicely complements the rest of bowl and adds a bit of creaminess to the dish.
My friend highly enjoyed the ricotta Hotcake. Topped with plenty of berries and creme fraiche and accompanied with strawberry coulis and a side of maple syrup this is one very pretty dish. The Hotcake was light and fluffy and makes for the perfect sweet treat.
Overall I had a wonderful experience at Brothers Keeper. The food and coffee was top notch and the service was excellent. I rate Brothers Keeper ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 and highly recommend checking them out. Thanks very much for having me.

📝: Loved this cute cafe in Kooyong. The people were so friendly, welcoming you with wide smiles immediately as you walk in. Definitely one of the top cafes on my list. Don’t miss their cute little courtyard, with walls painted with beautiful murals.
.
❤️: From brunch to lunch, the menu covers such a variety of tasty foods that you won’t be able to choose. Definitely loved the Zaatar Cauliflower Tempura 🥦—that cauliflower it was so on point.
Sweettooths go straight for the fluffy, crispy coated Buttermilk Pancakes 🥞 with fruits 🍓 and honeycomb 🍯. So pretty and colorful 😍!
I was mightily impressed. This one is a keeper! My scrambled egg was perfect and the coffee was top quality
My Brothers Keeper – super cute café in Toorak, bright, light, lovely staff, fab courtyard out the back and a menu that seemed familiar but was also full of fantastic new dishes to enjoy. Zucchini and corn fritters with corn puree, avocado, tomato, charred corn salsa, tomato kasundi and poached eggs – I am a sucker for fritters, I have had the good, the bad and the ugly and these were some of the best yet. The friends of the fritters on the dish were also perfection! The actual fritters where those big gnarly golf ball sized ones, cooked deep golden brown and inside packed with a good level of denseness vs veggies. The corn puree was epic – would buy that in a jar tomorrow. And the charred corn salsa was beautiful, fresh and vibrant flavours, mixed with the avocado it was that kind of dish you just wanted to keep going back for more. And how were the eggs?
WOW! Was this an incredible treat!
Thank you for the wonderful spread and amazing hospitality! The ambience was great with stunning deco to compliment. I really think the photos speak for themselves. We were so lucky to try a variety of different meals from the menu.
These beautifully presented meals didn't just look good, they tasted even better. From the squash on toast to the stunning meringue french toast to the milkshakes... they were all faultless!
Been wanting to check out this local gem for ages and finally made it! Boy it was good! Friendly and fast service and delicious food! I had the zucchini fritter w pork belly and poachies; and my friend enjoyed his fried cauliflower and quinoa salad tremendously! Will definitely come back!
My friend came over on a Sunday and we were going to go to Malvern but passed this fantastic cafe on the way
Parking out front
Easily accessible - no steps
Scrambled eggs with jalapeño - amazing
Cold brew coffee as well
Accessible bathroom 🙂
Great decor
Spoke to owner who offered cakes to take home - so lovely
Recommend 👍🙏🌺
Small cafe in Toorak with tasty coffee and food (not soo many of those here!). What I loved most is that they turned the volume of the music down when I asked them to! Really friendly staff. Unfortunately the Zomato app doesn’t let me add pics anymore!
Probably my favourite cafe in Melbourne (and I visit 3-5 cafes a week). Stunning and delicious food, friendliest staff and gorgeous interior. Plus a courtyard!! What more could you want?
Always impressed with everything from the coffee, to the smoothies and the mains. Definitely worth coming to check it out!
Brothers Keeper is located on Glenferrie Road in Kooyong. On entering, I was in love with the interior. The colour scheme of blues & pinks was stunning with cheerful wall art in the main dining area. Out the back is a gorgeous light filled courtyard, covered over & heating for winter & it would also be a perfect outdoor dining area in summer. Lots of colour, wall art, comfy seating & cushions as well as pet friendly.
We started with coffees & ordered a few dishes to share. The menu had a fantastic selection of dishes as well as lovely fresh smoothies & juices as well.
The squash on toast was a favourite, mapled pumpkin, spiced walnut pesto, feta, beetroot hummus, dukkah and sweet potato chips on multigrain toast. It was a generous serving and the flavours were divine, the sweet pumpkin contrasted beautifully with the salty, creamy feta & the sweet potato chips on top added a nice crunch.
The zucchini & pea fritters were served with avocado purée, pickled zucchini, smoked pork belly, peas & poached eggs. The pork belly was delicious & while I enjoyed the dish I did find it a little bit dry, perhaps the addition of a yoghurt sauce would have added the creamy element I felt it was missing.
The Reece’s Pannacotta was insanely good. The presentation was flawless & the addition of chocolate granola, strawberries & peanut butter bites was perfect. One of the best pannacottas I’ve ever eaten.
We washed it all down with a smoothie & a fresh juice, both delicious & refreshing. The service was also impressive, fast & friendly & we loved our visit. Thanks so much for having us.
Amazing food, great service and one of the most inviting cafes i have been to.
Visited Brothers Keeper last weekend and i must say it exceeded all expectations... if you haven't had a chance to get down there, i suggest you do... will be sure to impress!

We are always on the hunt for cafes that tick that all rounder box and thats exactly what Brothers Keeper Café in Kooyong does. Brothers/Owners Nick and Naidos Markou, both hospitality connoisseurs with their hearts in the game have created this warm and inviting family friendly hub, where you can expect to be served great coffee, a mouthwateringly delicious range of brunch options, friendly service and because we live in Melbourne somewhere that is not only kid friendly but also dog friendly too.
One of my favorite cafes in Kooyong / Toorak. Coffee was amazing there. I tried Salmon bagel and it was delicious. Very friendly staff. Quite busy on weekend morning.

Pretty chill staff and a great vibe!
The best poached eggs I've ever had and such a wide variety of brekky and lunch dishes to choose from. Food is delicious and the portions are generous. The staff is very laid back and extremely polite. The atmosphere has a super positive vibe, a great place to chill.
Fantastic atmosphere and very clean/well designed. Back seating area is a great place to chill. My iced espresso was nicely done and the staff members were all really great to talk to, especially the barista. Would come again if it was closer by!
this local café is superb, been here 4 times and each time with different people and we all leave loving the food, the ambience of Kooyongexcellent food, hot chocolate great, nice and hot and service great too
We are regulars here. Stopped by for my usual long black and special request piccolo for my little guy before his cricket trials. Food and service always excellent
Owner with the cap always with a smile enjoying what he does
Wow, wow oh wow was this cafe a wonderful experience! My friend Raquel and I were tremendously surprised by this Brother's Keepers Cafe. It was buzzing as soon as we walked in - not a spare table in sight (except for the one set aside for us). We were immediately greeted by one of the owners of the cafe - he loves what he does and this shone through every aspect of the decor and service.
What will first catch your eye when you walk into this cafe is the space inspired mural that runs along the length of the back of the cafe behind the counter. The owner gave us some recommendations on what to try so we each selected a homemade Chai Latte (it is made with soy milk however you can opt for full cream milk). The chai’s were brought out on their own individual boards with stainless steel teapot and strainer for a DIY style drink. This added an extra special element to the day and the chai’s themselves were just the right amount of sweet and spice (something that Raquel and I always search for when having a chai latte).
Next we move onto the main attraction - the meals. Raquel selected the Green pea fritters with air-dried ricotta, poached eggs and bacon while me and my sweet tooth chose to go with the Ferrero Rocher french toast with french brioche, nutella glaze, strawberry gel, chilli caramel, hazelnut truffle and praline mascarpone. You may wonder how all of this can fit on the one plate. Well Brother’s Keeper managed it with finesse and delicacy. The flavours went together brilliantly each complementing the other and the dish was just the right amount to leave you full but not bloated. The Pea Fritter’s were a large serving, perfect for someone who loves to fill up at brunch and the pea fritters were the standout bringing me back to my childhood days of cooking with my nonna.
The average cost for two people is $50.00. Brother’s Keeper Cafe have plans to expand before summer arrives with an adorable space outside which will be fully covered and double as the perfect bar area for those warm summer nights.

We have driven and walked past this café a few times and finally decided to go in! it is a lager venue than what we thought, however, the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The staff make you feel like you’re at home and talk to you like you have known them for years. The menu options are different to what you would typically see at a café, however, they have some delicious creations.
These fritters are a masterpiece on its own. They are presented beautifully, however, it is a little challenging to get to the star of the show, the fritters. The fritters are very thick and filling, which is great if you are hungry and want something healthy. The texture is crumbier than any ordinary fritters because the main ingredient is peas. The bacon is so delicious and smoky and adds a nice flavour to the dish. If only there is more on the plate! The cheese on top adds a nice contrast to the fritters and ties everything together.
Overall, this is not a bad dish, but is worth trying if you love peas!

Not your typical Toorak cafe...These guys know what they are doing. Fast, friendly and menu on trend, without being too over the top trendy! Cafe has an amazing ambience, which is lead by 2 strong leaders who have created a culture that welcomes all ages. Most importantly coffee is outstanding a big win for someone on the road. Well worth the visit!!!
I visited this Cafe last weekend for breakfast. The food was incredible and the coffee was perfect!! The pancakes are a must have!! Definitely a new favourite for me.
Great cafe which is new to the area. We definitely needed it. Great coffee and service. The fritters were amazing.
Awesome interior, very calming, I felt really relaxed
