Review Crazy Wings - Melbourne

Kristine Subagiyo
The honey spicy wings were so good!! I wish we ordered more of this flavour, all their skewers were pretty tasty 😋 crazy wing is famous for their spicy challenge. So, if you are up to this fun challenge, go ahead but don’t forget to grab some drink/milk before you started
Vivlovestoeat
The bread rolls are so basic but honestly my favourite but the chicken and pork skewers are really good too. Personally wasnt a huge fan of beef one. Decently priced meal.

Average food and flavour, reasonable price but wouldn’t go again.

Came to try the Crazy Wings, good for the novelty of burning your tastebuds and everything else it comes to contact with. The garlic and honey flavoured wings are decent, the other flavours are forgettable. Pork belly was dry, scallop was full of garlic, buns on a skewer were nice enough. Mushroom bean curd was nice enough. Slightly dingy, grotty space as expected. Good to get your street food fix, everything on a skewer tends to taste the same after a while. Good hangover cure. Temper your expectations

Was good. I am a big fan of eating Lamb skewer. I tried the other restaurants several times, but not really good. This restaurant has so yummy lamb skewer! However, the bad thing was oil on the side of water bottle.

Crazy wing is a Chinese restaurant located in Russell Street, Melbourne. The restaurant is about 2 min walk from Chinatown Melbourne. The restaurant is famous for its bbq dishes. When I visit Crazy Wing, I usually order only their chicken wings. I dislikes their other dishes.. However, it is just my preference. Crazy Wing has buy 1 free 1 offers for chicken wings (everyday including Sat and Sun). The offers vary in flavours every day. Each stick of chicken wing costs approximately AUD $2. Cheers!

One of the best skewers in Melbourne CBD. So happy it's back! Try the crazy wing and make sure you have some milk nearby!!!

I've been here a few times to try the crazy wings. They're pretty spicy but you can still taste the chicken and all and it was actually kind of nice. My friend wanted more because it was so delicious! I'm giving a mediocre review because of the service. Staff were talking about us in Chinese. Although most of us weren't Chinese, we did have a Chinese friend in the group who advised us that we were being gossiped about which I found pretty rude.

Choose either flat fee and cook it yourself upstairs or pay per skewer. We opted to pay per skewer so it's cooked for us. Tries a range of items however did nit like the majority. I'd say stick to the wings. Smokey and dirty inside. Ordered a tea and it was a prepakaged tea bottle. Mostyly students dining here. Huge disappointment.

I don't know what's happen to the staff downstairs.Very dreadful experience I had . I stand in the queue about 30 minutes by the door, the staff who was very rude said to me you don't stand here, cause a lot people here, she misunderstood I wasn't in queue.Of course I think that's her excuse.Because when the table for one is vacant but she ask the people behind me. I can't understand why and asked.she just say I thought you are not in queue with no sorry. I am the first people stand in the queue.Excuse me?Are you blind?<br/>Then I asked for cup she just put one on the table heavily and rude . This is my last time to here.

I had tried the buffet with my friends. It’s very cheap only $25 per person, but it looks a little be dirty and 1/4 machines not work... other thing is when they open the air conditioner the smoke was flying everywhere. But experience :(

A great variety of bbq wings with different flavours. Tried the crazy wings and could not finish it as it was incredibly spicy! ( they do warn you ) So many different kinds of bbqs to choose ranging from chicken wings to innards and vegetarian and seafood. Fast service and good place for a late nite snack. The place can get smokey so don’t expect to smell like roses after exiting . Will come back for sure !

When they say “crazy wing”, they mean crazy wing! If you’re up for a challenge, or you’re just a huge lover for spice, you’ve got to give these crazy wings a go! But make sure you come prepared with water or beverage reinforcements because you will definitely be needing it! <br/><br/>Other than the infamous crazy wings, they also have a variety of other options on their menu to choose from, all of which are very affordable. However, the venue is quite small and cramped, and don’t expect high quality service either.

Had a late night city feed after a few drinks.  We ordered some dumplings and the crazy wings, nice quick food.<br/><br/>The crazy wing - WOW! Very spicy, I can take spice but this wing is a challenge lol <br/><br/>Sorry no pics of the dumplings, we were starving and they were polished off pretty quickly.

Really good pricing and decent variety with the menu. Service is hit and miss but usually things like forgotten items get resolved immediately.
Some Bunee Loves Food
If you can eat spicy, challenge yourself with their explosive signature "Crazy Wings" chicken wings. A few of my friends have boosted how spicy they can handle, but after taking them to this place, they truly got KO'ed and most already cried not wanting to take another bite. Besides spicy ones, they have lobster, honey soy, garlic etc tastes. <br/><br/>The chicken wings are flavourful but sometimes can be way too small in size. Each skewer is only $1.50-$2.00 aud. My favorite are lamb skewers! They can take a while to make when they are busy so order lots in one go :)<br/> <br/><br/>27 Nov 2018 - I've decided to down their rating as their service has been close to none these days when I went. It took them ages to take my order sheet and they seem to skip my order, with everyone getting their complete order and even a group of students ordering heaps of takeaway got their food before mines, as I sat there waiting for 5, 10, 15, 20min! I was in a rush so I had to cancel my order eventually. A bit disappointing.

Linda
Ok so I’ve heard this place is spicy...but the extra hot wings are like nothing else!! Supercharged spicy, the hottest I’ve ever had in my life<br/>So many flavours to choose from and good value for money. Everyone loves wings

Can’t really complain the food with the price. The service isn’t the greatest, I had except that since it’s a small shop and very cheap food. But glad that they are all very yummy ! And totally will be back. We had lots of them and only pay $18 per person. We feel super full after that !

Crazy wing is one of the nice place to try chicken wings. They have several option of food and the price is friendly. The location is great as well. I like the chicken, but i think there’re a little bit too much of MSG. Overall, im happy with the food.

Overall experience was average. Went with a couple of friends and ended up eating a full meal somewhere else.<br/><br/>Dish: Crazy Wings<br/><br/>Food presentation: Nothing out of the ordinary. It was just chicken wings on sticks served in a metal tray.<br/><br/>Food taste/ quality: Crazy Wings were super spicy due to the massive amount of chilli powder sprinkled on it. It was okay, not anything incredibly special, but I liked how spicy it was! If you can't take spicy food I recommend you order something else because it is awfully spicy! There was nothing much other than chicken wings on the menu so we ended up having food somewhere else after.<br/><br/>Price: $2.50 a stick which is a pretty good price!<br/><br/>Ambience: It was nothing beyond average. I did see the staff marinating meat in a small room at the back of the store while heading to the toilet upstairs and it didn't look the cleanest for a spot to be handling food.<br/><br/>Service: Friendly but couldn't speak good English. I ended up having to converse in Chinese.<br/><br/>With love,<br/>Ying 😌💕<br/>

If you’re looking for great service alongside your cheap eat, Crazy Wing is not the place for you. You’ll get given a piece of paper when you come in, and you select the items in the menu you want to eat and hand it to the register. They place an oven tray on your table and start placing your order on it as they come. You’ll just have to guess which is which. <br/><br/>We were trying to place what flavour each order was (they come in skewers) before we realised most of our order was wrong. So much of our order was wrong that it kind of felt like they just placed random pieces of chicken on the tray and called it a day. Not an allergy friendly place for sure, if anyone was wondering.<br/><br/>Chicken wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t call it amazing either. Wouldn’t go back.
Darlz
Where is the 0* button. My friend said she was going to take me somewhere nice. I received better service visiting clients in prison. From wet bowls, to throwing the food across the table, no chopsticks , no napkins and barely a thin slice of veges on the sticks. <br/>I can’t get the vision of the box of non refrigerated prawns near the toilets upstairs. Yummy ! <br/>Finally, the crazy hot wings are just that. Inedible beyond hot. <br/>YOU ARE BETTER OFF GIVING YOUR MONEY TO THE HOMELESS !

Tried the original taste and spicy hot flavors in chicken wings from this place. The spicy hot is a crazy mix of hot chili powder but tastes amazing. Also the crazy wing is the most spicy wing I’ve ever had. Along with that have tried the garlic flavor, lobster sauce, honey chilli. Best on the side is the honey buns.
Li Lisa
Took one bite of the ‘crazy wings’ and then gave up. Got attached by the spice for 10mins. All the other items tastes really good- LOVE the enoki mushroom, ox tongue, and pork intestines. Ppl whoever invited skewers are so smart
David
Good value with the specials each day. Good place to come to with friends if you want to blow their heads off with the super spicy crazy wings.
Phlox Lim
This place is great to go with friends. A real laid back and chill atmosphere and the staff are pretty attentive. Food comes out pretty quickly as well so the wait time isn't very long. I don't care much for most of the menu because the wings are really just the best part of the whole menu. Personally; the garlic and honey spice wings are the best. They have great flavour and taste really good; the other wings are mediocre. <br/><br/>Everyday they have a different buy one get one free special which is AWESOME especially since you can bet you'll eat more than a few sticks of wings. <br/><br/>WARNING: If you're attempting to order the crazy wing; EAT IT LAST. It's no joke and even if you think you're great at handling spice; you're in for a shock and I'm really not exaggerating.
Laura Samantha
Ok chicken , bad service , nasty interior and environment , dirty and unhygienic . Don’t go to this place because the environment is so disgusting that it ruins the whole eating experience
Krystal Thiri
We went there a few times. And the food take ages to come even when it is not a busy period. The food taste ok but won’t recommend the place that much. <br/>
JW
Holy heck, if you're going the actual crazy wing - save it until the very end and pre-stock up on some soy milk stat!!! Otherwise there are non crazy wing options that you can stick to including the Orleans, chilli, and garlic skewers which are succulent, tasty, and well seasoned.<br/>Crazy Wing essentially offers all sorts of goodness in skewer form, including chicken varieties and vegetables (i.e. eggplant). Also a few rice based options that you can go for. Decor is nothing outstanding but that's not what you're coming to Crazy Wing for. Dinner on a skewer? I'm down!
Anka
Crazy wing is really a crazy wing. My friends and I are spicy food lovers but we cant beat the crazy wing. It is over the top hot wing and barely edible. Our asses were on fire after that.

My boyfriend and i decided to try these because we love chicken and spice. I can honestly say that the spiciest wings that they had were actually spicy. Although i wish the spices weren’t just powder, as i found them abit powdery with the burnt parts of the chicken. But overall the quality and tastiness of chicken was pretty good. It is also very affordable!

Not the first time I’ve been here and that’s because their chicken wings are so good!! This time we ordered honey spicy wings (my fave) which had a “2 for 1” deal today (Tuesday), garlic wings, chilli spicy wings and spicy beef fried rice. Honestly could never get enough of honey spicy, the garlic one was nice too, I want the biggest fan of the chilli spicy only because I thought it’d be more spicy (I have a high chilli tolerance, might be spicy for other people). The spicy beef fried rice is a very simple fried rice but I love it together with the wings. Customer service today was good as the guy serving was nice and could speak English well, although I know the service can be bad.

This Place is all about wings! And if you can handle the spice, like really really handle the spice! Only then you order the "Crazy "Wings"<br/><br/>I love the Garlic Wings and Honey Chilli ones! That have a huge variety of flavours to suit everyone taste buds.
Joseph Tran
Ordered the last 5 chicken wings from the chicken sections and it was something different that I have encountered. Even though I’m not from Melbourne but the chicken that I ate, made me want more. It was magical eating spicy chicken wings, it was worth the hype. Would like to come back and try more of the crazy wing x 10.
Munching Pandas
The majority of people who visited this place will come because of two things, the first one is the super crazy spicy wings -that’s why they called it Crazy Wings, and the second one is the buy one get one wings. The buy one get one taste is different throughout the week so choose carefully 😊. For me, price is the one thing that makes me wanted to come back over and over, for only $2 (buy one get one), you can get a total of 4 chicken wings. Most of the dishes in this place are served with skewers which makes it unique.<br/><br/>The place itself is small and cramped; you can actually smell the pepper/spice of this place from several meters away.<br/><br/>Panda 🐼🐼🐼:<br/><br/>1. Price! Insanely cheap price is the strongest selling point of this place<br/><br/>2. Chicken wings taste is ok<br/><br/>Pandont ❌❌❌:<br/><br/>1. Service is terrible. Food took ages to be served, including steam rice.<br/><br/> One of the staff cannot understand English at all which makes it hard for us to communicate.<br/><br/>2. Some of the chicken wings are still raw or not cooked thoroughly<br/><br/>3. The honey steamed BBQ bun felt too packed in my opinion<br/><br/>Overall, I really like the buy one get one deal, but the service made me hesitant. I hope that this place will improve more in the future.<br/><br/>

To start off, the food was actually not that bad. I ordered a few of the honey spicy for my partner and I and the taste was quite nice. However as I looked around at the staff, many were on their phone chatting amongst themselves and basically just proving to me that their customer service skills were non existent. I raised my hand to ask something and had my hand there for at least 5 minutes while multiple staff glanced in my direction with no proper actual response. To sum up, I’m never going here again. Definitely plenty of other places in the CBD with better customer service.
Spinning Round Horse Kick
We four ppl had BBQ buffet here on the first floor, and we ordered four bottles of Chinese beer. Not too bad! My friend has been here many time but I’m the first time here.
I'm Batman
I only went here for my chili dose. <br/><br/>Wait staff? Rude af<br/>Waiting times? A bit odd, the wings take precedence over their other meats. <br/>Food overall? Not bad. <br/><br/>I only really take friends here for pranks. The beef/ox & lamb meats are actually not bad but the service sucks.

Omg supper again , located area china town , the customer service so so not too bad, and not to good . The skewed many selection choice , the signature crazy wings really u can’t believe what happen after only only only a small bite , really feel lost control and spicy spicy very spicy . So if u really wanna try just prepared more water , or else u can understand the feeling crazy. Lastly the price reasonable . Cheers for make me crazy

This place the food is good. The different varieties are wonderful when it comes to wing. The crazy wing itself is the hottest chicken wing to be tasted ever.
Nadira
I went to this place as my friend recommended it. Tried many flavours of the wings but my favourites are honey spicy and spicy hot. My friend's favourite is crazy hot, I couldn't finish since it was really spicy until I cried (no lie). My favourites of other dishes are the chicken skin and ox toungue
Law
I ordered some wings and had to wait over an hour for my food. Other people arrived after me and somehow got their food before I did. Terrible service and the workers had poor English communication. No compensation for the wait and also no apology. Overall bad restaurant and would not recommend to anyone.
MelbFoodHunter
Let’s keep it short and crispy. While the chicken is quite well flavoured and actually delicious, the rest of the menu doesn’t hit the mark at all. Everything is seasoned exactly the same way, even the veggies. Hence, if you like chicken and are ok with just chicken go for it. If you want variety then definitely not recommended!
Ferry Gondo
Ordered wings with various toppings like BBQ powder, Chili and some Chinese spices like Cumin seeds. The place may be a bit cramped, but quite a fun place to feast on chicken wings.
Danny Nguyen
Known for their 'crazy wings'. I only go here with friends pretty much just for the challenge if anyone can finish a wing. Wouldn't actually have a proper meal here though.
Little Bit Of Everything
Delishhhhhh charred wings and seafood. My absolute favourite are the pomfrets but certainly not a place with great levels of hygiene or customer service. I keep going back to eat the pomfret but always disappointed at the way they treat the customers.
Nan Awar
Disgusting! The place is filled with rubbish, dust and dirt everywhere. No regard for cleanliness. In serious need of a visit from health inspectors.<br/><br/>Furthermore, I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. Waitress was unbelievably rude and unhelpful. Practically ignored us the entire time. When she did talk to us, it involved rolling her eyes at us. No consideration for their customers. Just apalling behaviour. Will never come back. STAY AWAY!!!
Danielle Nguyen
This place is known for their extremely hot wings. Had to try it to see what all the hype was about. Can confirm that these wings are extremely crazy hot.

Dirty food. Food poisoning from chicken wings.<br/>There's better alternative and food that won't made you vomit and sick. Dirty dirty...............................

This place is great to bring friends and see them cry when eating crazy wing. Me and my partner checked this place out when we were living in city.We ordered all the chicken flavors from the menu and wasn't aware how spicy the crazy wing chicken would be. We tried it and cried as it was the spicest chicken I've ever tasted. We thought it would be funny to bring friends here for the experience which we did. They all cried but loved it.The only negative side to this place is that it's very dirty. The staff don't clean the tables properly and the toilets are disgusting.
MVP
Wings are pretty good here, honestly I'm not gonna lie it's a bit of a feast, a feast of tasty yum chicken that I digest well. Ok so why a 1 star review? Looks, does good good justify existence as a establishment.<br/><br/>In my opinion a place can have great food, but if your staff are rude, disgusting and disrespectful I don't see how you can exist as a establishment. Last time I was here, is literally the last time. <br/><br/>I witnessed a staff member drop all the napkins on the dirty floor, and then pick them up and place them back on the rack. Me and my friends found it outrageous because if that's how they treat their napkins, imagine how they treat their chickens. <br/><br/>That's my two cents.<br/><br/>MVP
Ashley
Cheap and cheerful. Great BBQ chicken skewers. Seafood, beef and rice quite disappointing... stick to the chicken.<br/>The crazy wings are super hot. Only try these if you have high heat tolerance!!
Suzy Heo
Me and my friends went to there last night (Saturday) about 10pm. Me and my boyfriend visited there sometimes before last night so we were happy of that. <br/>However, we all changed our mind cuz we had the worst service ever in our life. Wings are really delicious but they have to shame of there service and I truly recommend that they should change the waitresses. Although the food is good I wouldn't want to go there again. Waitress argued with me about dirty tray and after that she threw the cups on the tables and some kinds of wings which are we ordered it on our plates without any explains also we waited for 40mins of our food. Waitress served the foods drinking her milk or something and walked around. When we ask more beer to both waitresses, They said yes and ignored it. So we need to ask 3more times after that. <br/>If you guys want to see terrible service and want to get stress when you are eating, I highly recommend to go here on Saturday night.
Oodreiilittlepotato
Having all you can eat on Wednesday Night~ 🍻<br/>Pretty pack, luckily I booked a table for 4 in advanced like 3-4 hours before👌🏻<br/><br/>Because its pretty pack and busy, we have to wait around 15 mins for the fried rice to come out. The fried rice is a lot~ i think enough for 2-3 person or even 4 lol. Then the beer come out like 5-10 minutes after. And the wings in 15-20 minutes. We have to ask for small plate and glass for drink for couple of times. So i will give the service 2.5/5! <br/><br/>We try the 'Honey Spicy' , 'BBQ Drumstick' , 'Delicious Curry' , 'Garlic Taste' , 'Lobster Sauce' , and 'Orleans Wings'. The honey spicy wings are sweet, you can taste the sweetness right away. However for the rest of the flavour i couldn't identify because they keep stack the wings so we cant remember which one is which one. At the end the flavour pretty much similar to one another 🤦🏻‍♀️ nevertheless i give the taste 3.5/5! <br/><br/>I try the crazy wings for the 2nd time~ it is not as bad as the first time. Because i can finish 2 chicken wings haha.<br/><br/>Overall it is a pleasant dinner :) really satisfied with the wings! 🙌🏻❤️
Helena
The service here is terrible, ignorant waitresses, had to ask if our order is ready after 45 mins wait about 3x before her asking the cook to make our order (i think they started making our order 45 mins after we ordered it). We waited for 1 hour for our takeout order (the place was not very crowded, just moderately crowded), the water somehow tastes dirty, the only reason why we got our order under 1 hour is because we couldn't wait any longer and had to cancel a few of our orders, also, when we got home we noticed theres a chicken wing missing. Will never come back here again, not recommended.
Danny.dog.1000
Love this place, amazing atmosphere and great prices. Questionable customer service and seating is a little tight. The wings are to die for though (seriously, you'll die if you have the Crazy Wings)<br/><br/>7.3/10
Noodle Boy
Service was the worst. The dirtiest restaurant i have ever been. I dont know how they pass the house inspection. Never come back again and never recommended

Food is great. Very tasty and satisfies your Asian food cravings. It reminded me of the Philippines and the street food there. Ambience just needs to cleared up in the front but other than that,
Love At First Bite
Find us on instagram: loveatfirstbite_aus<br/><br/>I came here with a group of friends for a scoopon deal - all you can eat wings. It was an ok dining experience. Definitely stay away from the spicy stuff if you want to be able to taste anything for a week afterwards! The Chicken had a good charcoal taste.
George David Michaelides
There needs to be a negative rating on this place....... <br/>The crazy wing is just absurd its ghost chilli hot, not far off police grade capsicum spray. <br/>I wonder what would happen if a child got their hands on one and rubbed their eye.... lawsuit maybe? <br/>The toilets upstairs are absolutely revolting the health deparment needs to come and have a look at this place, Melbourne city should not have crap like this, its embarrassing !
Yee Kee Ku
Super crazy hot!!!! The price is cheap. I was in tears and my nose start to be wet too! Interior design needs improvement, the place looks cheap and cheerful.
Wandering Ella
Please, dearest humans of the internet, do not try the crazy wings at this place. One lick at the insanely chili-powder coated (multiple coatings probably), and my roommate and I started tearing up. Our tongues are just confused as to whether they should numb themselves or send pain signals.  My other friends who had the guts to take a bite had wonderful consequent visits to the toilets. Their other flavours are alright but it's nothing spectacular.

Crazy wing was referred to me by two colleagues who said that it served the hottest chicken wings (or the hottest food) they had ever ever had! One of them described it as needing a glass of milk to go along with the wings, the other said he had to run to the nearest quickie mart to buy a bottle of BIG M. Following on from these conversations, I was told "Why would you want to do this to yourself", "I couldn't taste anything for half a day", "My sinuses were flowing", and "Just don't". <br/><br/>Always up for a chilli challenge, we ventured down here at a Friday lunchtime. We entered a very yellow Chinese joint with bulb-lit photos of chicken wings and a photo of someone who had 20 (there is a youtube video dedicated to this legend). We got a menu and no explanation was provided. We quickly chose the "SPICY" chicken wings, the honey chicken wings, the ginger and pepper wings, and some other wings. <br/><br/>A stainless steel tray was put in front of us and we were provided four tiny plates. <br/><br/>Then came the skewers. The spicy chicken wings were dotted with some red chilli powder. And we all dug into it with our fingers. For a few moments, we felt the burn in our mouth, which then radiated into our ears, the restaurant felt like it was spinning and two of us got the shakes. The spiciness in my mouth quickly dissipated but the heart and stomach burn I am still experiencing almost 9 hours from my first bite. My colleague said that he definitely felt like he had burnt a hole in his stomach. <br/><br/>The chicken wings are really skewers. I did enjoy the honey chicken wings. They were sweet and spicy and my favourite. The rest just tasted like chicken wings with spice. The chicken quality is good and tender. The vegetarian options - i.e. stir fried leek with their famous red pepper powder, the mushrooms encased in tofu skewers or the coriander encased in some fried batter skewers were A-ok. <br/><br/>There is a $1 surcharge if you pay by card. <br/><br/>Don't think I need to go back for so much suffering and though I don't like fried chicken or chicken wings, these ones I did enjoy! :)
Brad Jacka
Really really good wings, however the venue is poorly maintained and looks like very unhygienic. Customer service was average. For what it is worth though was a good feed. Honey spice was the best value at 2 for 1 on Wednesdays.
Notevenpicky
This is my first time trying the city crazy wing , I usually go to the Glen Waverley one if I need a fix of wings and cumin lamb. I do have to say the food tastes better here, but the store.... is so damn creepy. Maybe it's just me but felt so outdated and unclean, slightly unhygienic with all the stuff placed everywhere. Not saying the glen store is amazing but at least it seemed clean. They had fabric chairs which freaked me out, people's drinks, food juices and human juices (?) could all be soaked in and I sat on the edge of the seat the whole time (lol) <br/><br/>However I do have to say the wings was grilled to perfection, crispy on the edges, tender inside, cumin lamb was seasoned well and so soft and juicy. The honey spicy flavour tastes different to the glen store, and today's special (buy one get one free) on a Saturday was garlic! <br/><br/>Also I contacted them via Facebook and they told me their chicken is halal for if anyone wanted to know!

Very very horrible.. service is terrible.. after waiting for so long, they dont even bother to serve us.. we waited to be seated for 30 mins and the female waiter asked us to wait but didn't wven pay attention to us.. after 30 mins another customer came and got served right away.. the waiter just said "I am sorry I didnt know you came first."

get ready to die with their crazy wing... omg it is actually hell. I went there to do the crazy wing challenge and ended up looking like the scream from picasso. The other chicken wing flavours are quite nice, strong and flavoursome and they offer a two for one special each day for different flavours. very oily and unhealthy though...
Setiawan
Just one thing, dont dare to try the crazy wing.<br/>Even for people who can handle spicy they won't be able to handle this crazy wing 😭😭😭.<br/>So just try others flavour.<br/>The fried rice is also good, it has smoke or burn smells that makes it delicious.<br/><br/>Suggestion: buy the promotion wing each day.
Foodiemelbournian
The food was okay but Very bad service. The waiting time was extremely long. The waitress was ignorant and was very rude. Hope next time you'll get someone more professional at customer service.
Scrumptious GG
Take away their crazy wing and it definitely not for a faint hearted. The spicy level was crazy. I love chili and literally eat everything with chili. But this wings, I tell you was deadly I couldn't even enjoy the chicken. They have varieties of wings, but I warn you, if chili is not your thing, try something else and don't dare to try their crazy wing. 😁😁
Paul
Horrible experience! Entering the place there were rubbish all at the front door right next to the food, looked up and the workers were chopping RAW chicken next to the COOKED food! All this was right at the front as we entered. Got a table and it was a complete mess and we had to clean it ourselves, 1 serviette for the whole table. Food was horrible, dry, cold and obviously frozen. Service was disgusting. The chef was wearing THONGS in the kitchen. Will never return and don't recommend anyone else returning.
RainMan
Worst service ever. I doubt the woman even spat In out food. Wouldn't even give us plates to eat. Absolute waste of money and terribly overrated. I'd skip this on any day.
John
Crazy Wings for the Crazy Win! There is possibly a reason why this restaurant has stood the test of time and been around for... A decade? Been coming here for years and never dissapoint. Their bbq chicken wings, roasted meats, cold noodles in chilli oil and charcoal bread in honey are to die for. I personally am too afraid to go for their crazy wings despite numerous challenges, but aside from the hype of eating the hottest chicken wings in Melbourne, the rest of their food is genuinely good, so tuck in.
Daniel
We had the all you can eat buffet upstairs, and instantly regretted it. There was not much of a selection of skewers - mostly gizzards and other Chinese delicacies. I recommend just ordering skewers and wings downstairs.
Anna Yong
these legendary Crazy Wings have been talked about in the office so it was time to venture out & experience them for ourselves. Tried various wings, spicy honey, spicy pepper, curry .. Saving the crazy for last. One bite .. couldn't finish the rest. Great value and delicious wings, will definitely be back
Arijit Das
Hot hot hot! In fact I would go as far as to say - Devil Hot! And one of the cheapest places to eat! Right in the heart of Melbourne CBD. What else could you ask for? Lots n lots of fluid to cool down the chilly. A must try if you like hot n spicy food. Just make sure you have that soda / soya ready next to you! Make sure to try the signature dish - Crazy Wing - indeed!

I don't think they wanted customers there.... they gave me spicy food when i asked for non spicy. When i told them that i ordered non spicy food, the girl just stood there said ok. As i was explaining to the girl that i can't eat spicy food, the waiter shouted:" stop talking to him and just replace it." Bro.. I'm chinese and i been speaking chinese to them the whole time. My replacement food was so burnt that you could use an anime title to describe it "darker than black". Their service was horrible, they were rude. When i asked about the buffet they didn't seem like they wanted to answer, i have asked them about it for 5 times and i still don't quite understand how their buffetworks. I will never ever go back to this place, if i could rate this place 0, i totally would. Hope this helps.

Definitely the worst bbq chicken wings I have ever tried. <br/>Have read many negative reviews on some Chinese review sites before. I was like "how bad can bbq chicken wings be?" (Since Chinese bbq is quite easy and almost all pretty good) and this restaurant show me how bad the bbq can be. <br/>

Waited 2.5 hrs in the city after work to have dinner with the boys at 7:30pm.... Only to find out our table was double booked for an earlier booking at 7:15pm with no compromise but instead you get a 'you habbb to wait'. Crazy wings has always been the go to place for a group dinner...but after this experience there will be no next time. Better off going to the ever reliable red silks just down the road.

Waited 45 minutes only to be told that our booking was double booked. I hear this has been happening to others. Will not return to wait another 45. It wasn't fun.

When you walk into this venue, you're greeted by a cloudy window filled with questionable looking meats on skewers. <br/><br/>This should have been the first warning sign for me, but foolishly I decided to take a seat.<br/><br/>After being ignored for about 20 minutes by the clearly incompetent staff, they finally took my order.<br/><br/>A few minutes later, another server came and pretty much threw our food on our table, which was already cold for some reason when I got to it... This was the second warning sign, yet I still decided to eat the food. How bad could it be?<br/><br/>To paint you a picture, it's now been 2 hours since eating there, and I'm writing this review from the toilet, with violent outbursts coming from all my bodily cavities. <br/><br/>Feeling like like I'm on the brink of death, I felt like writing this to review any future patrons DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE.<br/><br/>I may be saving your life.<br/><br/>And please send help to the middle cubicle of the Mid City toilets.

if my crazy wing took a crap and that crap took a crap, the service that crap gives would still be better than what you get here. staff need to learn how to allocate bookings. complete joke

If I could swear, I would. I called on Tuesday to make a booking at 7:30pm for 8 people on Friday. I rock up on Friday and they tell me that someone had booked a table at 7:15pm and they had to give it to that person. <br/><br/>How does that even make any sense?<br/>What's the point of taking my booking?<br/><br/>If this is what you call service, I'd rather go maccas and get a Big Mac meal with extra fries and a McFlurry. <br/><br/>I hope you guys thrive as a business. Not.

If i wanted to be screwed on a good night i'd make a booking here. No brains, no care, you'd have better odd's getting your table booking with morse code

Booked 8 pax at 7:30pm and rocked up at 7:30 only to be advised quite rudely by the staff that "There was a booking at 7:15 so you'll have to wait"<br/><br/>How does one take 2 bookings within 15 mins of each other and expect to turnover the same table. <br/><br/>When a booking is made to reserve a table it should be made available. Screw this place. <br/><br/>

Craving for Bbq chicken wings and can't be bothered to get yourself dirty and make it yourself? Come to crazy wing and you won't regret. This place doesn't look inviting but the food is certainly good . Thanks to my friend who recommended it to me and I just can't help to go back for the second time within the same month. Love their original, spicy honey and new Orlean flavour. The lamb, chicken gizzard, pomfret, shitake mushroom are also good. The flavour are very similar as they use the same herbs in marinating. if u can't take any spicy food, then u must stay away from the evil crazy wing. Just one little touch of the chicken, my tears was out automatically and i felt like I was in hell. Excessive water drinking can't even save me. It was a good experience though.

Venue: average downtown Chinese restaurant u expect to see on the side street of Chinatown.<br/><br/>Food: had a few variety of chicken wings. Must say my favourite is honey spicy. Flavour and taste wise is nice to the palate. Though it wasn't spicy at all maybe it should just be honey chicken. Ofcourse we had to try the famous CRAZY WINGS. Lived up to its name zomg my mouth was literally on fire. Super super dooper spicy ask for extra serviettes! (To wipe the tears and runny nose)<br/>Sweet potato and egg plant is a must try. Very sweet and tasty. The honey bun can give a miss. Nothing special wasn't even sweet just tasted like a heated up plain bun.

Decided to take my brother so he could try it out. Love the crazy wings, Orleans wings, chilli Spicy wings, lemon pepper wings, eggplant, potato and pork belly. The chicken skin and pork skin wasn't too bad but thought it'd be more crispy. Only issues I have were service staff seemed to forget us when we tried to get there attention and didn't bring our rice until we were half way finished with our chicken and also they never gave us plates to eat on when clearly everyone else around us had plates

The place is somewhat filthy & service very bad. They make Chinese street style skewers. Flavors really nice & authentic, however crazy wing was the spiciest I every tasted. So now & then if needs settling someone I would take them there;) price reasonable. Good for casual dinning if u after...

used to be great, then suddenly price went up and quality went down big time. About half of the stuff came out burnt... Yes... Burnt! <br/><br/>Then we ordered the "soup"<br/><br/>Which turned out to be water with msg and bits of flour added.... 😱<br/><br/>Won't come back.

This is a restaurant of grilled food. There's some great flavours. But we started with the crazy wings, which is unnecessarily INEDIBLY hot. That numbed any taste sensations. I like hot food but this was disgusting hot cooked by a narcissistic sociopathic chef. Besides the place is filthy and the toilets are best not visited. This place has promise but fails disappointingly and ideally should be shut down. Would never return.

It's all about the BBQ skewers here. You don't have to have chicken, there are skewers with single prawns, enoki mushroom, and oily eggplant for example. It's all a similar simple BBQ flavour, which lacks any real complexity.<br/><br/>Each day there is a different 2-for-1 deal on the BBQ chicken wings. The original flavour has a tiny touch of spice, so if you don't like spicy, go for the garlic wings or one of the other flavours. If however you do like spice, try the crazy wing challenge :-) It's a slow heat, that takes its time to hit you, slowly raising through your face until steam comes out the top of your head like a cartoon character. 1.5 crazy wing skewers and my limit was reached, with the aftertaste lingering for the rest of the day. It's not the world's most amazing flavour experience, but in terms of fun, I recommend it. I won't forget it quickly, nor will my colleagues who laughed through my pain and tears :-)

While their "crazy wings" are a gimmick that pulls in the late night crowd wanting a funny challenge, they genuinely have a great selection of BBQ items that are delicious. You don't come here expecting great service - you get seated, you fill out an order form, your food arrives, you pay at the cash register.<br/><br/>Only thing is, this time hasn't been as good as when I came here over a year ago. Their exhaust fan needs work done because the whole place was smokey and it even made me cough. Also their soup (gada tang) is made completely differently now, runny and with no flavour whatsoever.

One of the hottest spicy wings I've ever had. The restaurant environment it's that great, but you'd go there for a challenge- to try out the #CrazyWings! They do definitely cater for the light hearts too with mildly spicy wings and other options.

The spicy wings are good and love the buy one get one free event. The beef and lamb are awesome. Love it more than the wings
Honest Eats
Crazy Wings is more of a gimmick to the youth of Melbourne.<br/><br/>When they say their wings are spicy, they truly mean it - they sell their wings with a warning because they are very high in the Scoville range.<br/><br/>If you are and your mates are up for a challenge, or just REALLY love spicy food, this is the place for you.<br/><br/>... just... bring a milk carton or something with you.
Amor Amor Amor
Most spiciest wing I have ever had! Needed to take away those wings to home and washed them with hot water twice and still tasted spicy, authentic chinese skewers yum

I initially tried this place out when they were newly opened and had all the 'buy one wing get the other free' specials! It is definitely not a let down. The very large variety so it caters for even picky eaters and a great diy ordering system where food is brought out at a ridiculously fast pace. If you love chicken this is the place to be!
HungryMonkey
you will either love it or hate it! as for me i love this place. <br/>Beware though, the signature dish "crazy wings" is not for the faint of heart & when they say its spicy, it is spicy as hell. the range of BBQ chicken wings there is awesome, and im a  fan of their veggies range as well, the BBQ mushrooms there are a must try!! dont forget to grab a soy milk while u r there as it is the best way to wash down your spicy dishes.<br/>on the down side, staff could be a bit more friendly and better at communicating with the non Chinese speaking customers, as for me personally i dont care as im not here to talk, im here to shove some wings on my face!!!<br/>see u guys soon again!!<br/>ps. look out for the specials each day

I don't know what happened when I went today but service was outrageously horrible! Awkward glances were given to us by the waiter but she didn't do nothing but go back to walking up and down the aisle leaving my friends and I were waiting literally 15 minutes in front of the door to get a table. By the time we got one.. It was only suited for four heads, and there was 6 of us. So we ended up cramming in next to one another which was bloody annoying. In front of us was a mess.. Not only did our waiter not clean the table up properly by leaving behind spilled water all across the table but she also did not come back for our menus another 5 minutes after.. (Waiting again!) we ordered and received our food blah blah.. But what we didn't get.. Was our plates, our serviettes nor did we get served any water.. My friends and I wanted to grip our hairs out because it was that bad! We paid and left as soon as possible! Seriously not coming back here in a very very long time and maybe even a never! 😤 NOT TO MENTION, WE ORDERED 3 CRAZY WINGS AND 1 ORIGINAL BUT RECEIVED 4 CRAZY WINGS. WTH.

Loved this place! They have amazing spicy and smoky grilled skewers. Be careful if you're not used to hot food, cause some of the items are fiery. I'm a massive fan of fiery food, but I almost couldn't handle their spiciest wing (had to order some soy milk to deal with the pain). I also recommend the vinegar noodles.
Sweetxdeex
We love the wings here! Two wings per skewer, make sure you try whatever is buy one, get one free on whatever day you're there. I like original or garlic, they aren't super spicy, but you can taste the spices used on them, plus the grilled flavour!

Sorry for the poor quality photos, I don't know what was wrong with my phone. Regardless, this place is a tradition to me, I have taken my Sydney friends here as well as Melbourne friends. Trying their infamous crazy wings is just something you have to do, but be warned you will need a whole bottle of milk, unless you are like some of my friends who have no pain receptors in their tongue.

Yum.. Been here over 2 times , went last Saturday and this Saturday again. The lady even remembered me. It does get very busy, so the wait for the table can be abit long. Once walking in you can smell all the spices. This time around we ordered abit more. For 5 people we had ordered 10 spicy honey chicken , 20 garlic chicken , 2 crazy wings , 2 prawns and rice . The price was around 58 and let me say it was worth it . Food was yummy though I wished they had like sauce for some of the chicken. Two waitress, meaning it could take time to get your order in but overall food was great and a great place to prank your friends , with a good feed.
