Mmm, who doesn't love fish and chips? The smell alone is enough to get you salivating. Jacky Jones at Reservoir is one of those places that specialises in seafood, and they do it so well. With choices of the traditional deep fried variety, as well as healthy grilled fish and seafood, salads and rice; there's something to tempt all seafood lovers.
On the edge of a shopping centre, the space is large with ample seating for dining in, although they also do a raging trade in takeaways. The decor is modern, and it's clear that this isn't your typical fish and chip shop. Service was excellent, and staff are helpful and friendly.
We chose a nice mix of both types of meals for dinner. Selecting a dinner pack with battered fish, chips, calamari, dim sim and the must have potato cake. The batter was thin and crispy, and everything was fresh and tasty. The aioli was fantastic for dipping, and this salty meal was absolutely delicious.
The grilled salmon with brown rice and Greek salad was equally divine. Perfectly crispy skin, tender salmon and a tasty fresh salad. Both meals were generous portions, and they both definitely hit the spot.
If you are craving fish and chips, Jacky Jones has you covered. Whether you want traditional or healthier options, you are bound to find a tasty lunch or dinner at this ripper of a venue.
Heard from a friend so had to try this place. Been there couple times already and I must say they have one of the best burgers out there especially fish and chips. Give it a try for those who wants to try something new to the table.

Tonight was the first time trying this place after numerous passings by. Wow- the serving sizes were fantastic, the food extremely fresh and tasty and all at a great price point!
We ended up getting take away-all was packed nicely with sauces in the bag and salad separated to the fish and rice. Overall a great place. I was super impressed and will be back. Would recommend highly.

Went to jacky Jones reservoir today , loved the fitout of the restaurant , looks clean and fresh with the ambience inside the restaurant . Very neat and tidy for a trendy fish and chips , burger shop .

The food was amazing , tried the salt and pepper calamari with salad and chips , jacky Jones burger and the spicy mex on the menu . All of the meals very above and beyond my expectations .

Located at summerhill shopping center next to Kmart so it a perfect spot to catch up for lunch if you get hungry after shopping. Foods is seriously good and fresh. We ordered Spicy mex burgers & Char grilled calamari with brown rice salad. Calamari was tender and juicy, salad is so delish. Recommended
Omg it’s legit the best burger place I’ve ever been to! Cheap, AMAZING food, and the most lovely staff! I love it here 😍❤️ the double deluxe is my fave thing ever! And the sweet potato cakes are so unique and beautiful
jacky jones is a small gourmet fish & chip joint located next to saros barber shop. my family and i visited here for lunch yesterday, we ordered 4 burgers; the cheese royale and a fish fillet. we also ordered a medium chips to share.
the chips came out first, and we were shocked at how generous the serving was! (we were actually considering ordering a large but luckily we didn’t)
then our burgers came out, and they were fantastic. for such a cheap price, you get a wholesome, satisfying burger with real ingredients.
compared to fast food places like mcdonald’s and hungry jacks, the price is very similar, however portions cannot compare.
the next time i come here, i would definitely try the plates of fish, as they too came out to other customers looking delicious.
i would 100% recommend coming here for a feed, i assure you won’t be left disappointed!

Ordered the Char Grilled Calamari with Brown Rice and Greek Salad whole my missus bought the Grilled Flake pack with Greek Salad and Brown Rice.
Everything was cooked very well and sure tasted fresh!

One of the best fast food place around the area. The most impressive thing about the place is it's quick service and its unbelievable beautiful mouth watering food with amazingly friendly staff. I would definitely recommend everyone to at least try it once .
came here on a friday night when it was really busy and packed . From the time I walked in , the staff were so welcoming and made me feel comfortable about everything . From the menu , I had an Alabama burger , havent had a better southern fried chicken burger in Melbourne and my friend had the salmon pack with seasoned brown rice and greeks salad . The food and service are exquisite , finally a good place around this area . will be back for sure .

Favourite burgers in the Northern Suburbs - Cheese Royale, flavourful with no frills! I'd definitely recommend dining in and getting the food fresh, rather than ordering UberEats for their offerings.
Ordered from here twice and was impressed both times. I had the deep fried chicken burger and the calamari rings, and they were honestly made to perfection, highly recommend!
bloody ripper of a meal! The fish was cooked to absolute perfection! The best sweet potato chips I’ve ever had, so crispy on the outside but then fluffier than a cloud on the inside! Don’t even get me started on the calamari, it was that damn good. I used to think you couldn’t make friends with salad but man oh man you’ve changed my mind. I love the food here! It is the seafood Grill'd and I love coming here for healthy fish. All the fish is cooked to perfection and it is worth seeing what all the fuss is about

This place is a hidden gem! The calamari is cooked to perfection and that grilled salmon.. to die for. Seasonings are delicious for a healthy meal that would be taken as boring but not at this place! Similar to hunky dory but I believe this place is much better.
The food here is a little dearer than your average corner fish and chip shop. It’s a cross between a cafe and a fish shop. But well worth the extra couple of dollars.
The batter on the flake is light and flavoursome. Chips were fine.
But the best thing about here is the service. Everyone was just so pleasant. I went here recently with a group of elderly people on a social outing and they were great to all of them. All the walkers and wheelchairs were no bother. The guy running the show helped everyone get seated and made them all feel welcome.
I would give them 6 stars if I could.
I’m travelling from Mill Park to Reservoir next time I want Fish and Chips. A place like this needs to be supported.
A nice fish and chips experience. As per my taste fish could be seasoned a bit more. But nonetheless it tasted good. The portion for chips was way too large for me. Squid ring was nice and tender.

Grilled fish pack with salad & brown rice is to die for! Definitely recommend to those new comers !! Blue grenadier is a must !! Lucky to get this sort of food down in Reservoir :)
Good cheap buy for two people for under $30. I had The Cheese Royale burger which was nice but the chips weren't all that. I'd come back for the burgers only.

I had my suspicions about the link to hunky dory one of my fave places but after giving Jackie Jones a go I now know , I did like the addition of chilli 🌶 in mild dose on salt and pepper calamari though.

The place itself is great, decor and atmosphere is very comforting and seems like a stand out burger joint.
The burgers and sweet potato fries we got here were really good, it seems like they put a lot of effort into their food which is great to see. However the meat in the burgers weren't very tasty, which was a real let down.
A quality product! Reminded me of the well known hunky dory! The grilled fish and brown rice with salsa hit the spot but I didn't stop there. I had the alabama chicken burger which was great value. The chicken was a breast piece and was at least 150gm (value) Too much sauce in the burger though
This place as soon as you step foot in you feel super welcomed and warm. Service was absolutely amazing and the food was exquisite also. Highly recommended!
Tried the double deluxe burger and stuffed salmon its fantastic and well priced decent serves and friendly staff its a great new take on the "the fish n chippery" of old loved it

A great new addition to the Summerhill Village, we attended on a lazy weekend afternoon looking for a dose of fried seafood and weren't disappointed. Fresh, slick decor and a friendly smile greeted us as we decided on a serving of flake and chips. Environment was clean, food came out quick and a serving that is value for money. The fish was a soft batter, fresh tasting and flaky. Chips had good crunch, lightly seasoned and all came with a small wedge of lemon (not quite enough but complimentary) and a tub of tartare. All round great experience and will return again!
Had a casual dinner here tonight, I thought the service was lovely and friendly, which is really important. I ordered the salt and pepper Calamari with Greek salad and kale and quinoa salad (they had a choice of 4 salads and you can mix and match) and my bf ordered the cheese royale burger with a side of chips and a crabstick. The Calamari and salads were delish and really big portion too, the burger and crab stick were tasty too, but have to agree with the other reviews regarding the chips! They were awful, no seasoning, dry and flour-ery, so that part was disappointing. The owner should try the chips at nandos, schnitz or even just a regular fish and chip shop for some inspiration.
Excellent food and service. I had the battered flake and chips with a greek salad. The flake was excellent the chips were good but nothing special, and the greek salad was tasty, there was no skimming on the fetta, and tomatoes, maybe too many olives :)
The calamari was fresh and tender. The kale and walnut salad excellent. Having the brown rice was a good healthy option.
I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely fabulous. My daughter had the chicken skewers w/ salad and I had a beetroot and apple salad combo, couldn't of been happier. Huge, generous serving sizes, food was out in less than 15 minutes and the flavours were fresh and fantastic, superb quality of ingredients as well. Love, love, love!
Go to local fish and chips shop! The saltwater pack - fish was fresh and cooked so well. Juicy, the crust was cooked so perfectly and the chips are amazing too! The tacos are really good too!
Have eaten here many times and never disappointed.

Took the family out for dinner here, everything was amazing, service was above and beyond, the fish was fresh, the burgers were juicy, exactly what you want when you're looking for that classic fish and chip shop flavour with a classy atmosphere 11/10 will be back! 👌
