Mie Siantar is superb! The taste is similar with the one I ate back in Indonesia. The noodled texture is chewy and condiments are a lot. Siomay is just okay, the sauce is not my favorite. But the noodle, you must try.

Absolutely loved my dining experience here the other night. Not only were the staff super friendly and gave great recommendations, the food was super tasty and flavourful as well.
If you guys are looking authentic and delicious Indonesian food you gotta check them out !
We were lucky enough to try so all of these delicious dishes and my favourite were definitely the chicken congee (Burbur Cirebon )and dry noodles with mushroom and chicken đ ~ these are only available on their special Friday night menu !
Their meals are such good value as well, they range from $11-15 and the servings are massiveeee !!
Julia Schneider
Had the bakmie keriting siantar, it was pretty large and yum! I think there could be a bit more topping compared to the size of the noodles but that's only because it was a big bowl. Also the pork came out a bit cold which means its not cooked fresh which i understand for a fast food restaurant but is a lil sad. Soup was also good. Overall good value for money, and tastes pretty great! Also quite salty though so if that isn't your thing, maybe give it a miss.

Have wanted to try this but never went coz its always packed near south Melbourne market!! Gotta fight for parking. That alone -1 star from me. So I tried a take away in the lockdown, ordered Bakmi Bangka ($15) and Siomay Bandung ($13). It is a big bowl of noodle, meat and some greens, definitely recommend this ! The siomay balls itself is good. Taste is quite authentic but the peanut sauce is just too sweet for my liking (and I like sweet) and not spicy at all, that just ruined the whole meal for me. Considering the location, price (which gone up 30% in the last 4 years) and what you get for it, is allright
Anisa Anwar
I think the noodles here are the closest you can get to authentic Indonesian bakmie in Melbourne. Would recommend getting bakmie bangka and soy milk đ
Vivian
Itâs called a âfastâ restaurant but we waited for 30 mins before the food was served. I had to remind the staff to get food, which is appalling. The food was so average and felt cheap. Would not come back.

The best bakso in Australia. Bakso Malang is so authentic maybe even better from my distant memories I had in Indonesia. The portion is generous so itâs great value for money. Cant get enough of the bakso malang, my husband and I ate here repeatedly 3 weekends in a row
Sony Tandi
My place to go for Bakwan malang and Mie Siantar was fragrant, tasty and delicious đ its definitely the dish should to try if you not sure what to order đ.
Choc Pudding
Tried their laksa, batagor, bakso mix, and mushroom noodles. The mushroom noodle was the best dish out of all. The broth was just so flavoursome, I was blown away. Their laksa was pretty good too. Batagor was ok, while bakso mix was small on the portion, there was hardly noodles there. Overall great quality of foods.

I randomly came across this place while in South Melbourne and could not be happier. Unlike its ordinary look from outside, Meetbowl serves mouth-watering Indonesian laksa, beef soup with noodles, and the like. These dishes are especially great during the cold windy days and are an absolute bang for the buck. The service is also rather fast and you can pay by card as well.
Theaggregate
Love the food here!!! Especially the Batagor!!! Their friend wonton is also really good. I would usually have Bakwan Malang when I come here by myself. With friends and family, I would order more dishes to share. The dried noodles dishes are great too! Warn you, the chillies are super hot! Eat with care!
Steven Yuniansyah Suyanto
Quite limited option of Indonesian food they served here. Notes, its not halal because they sell pork inside. Staff is really friendly and the service is pretty good. Will be better if they improve the menu option.

Once exiting South Melbourne Market after a quick snack there, we wasted no time deliberating where to go for lunch and finally agreed on Indonesian with this place just a short walk away.<br/><br/>Greeted by the sight of people happily slurping up their noodles as we walked in, be it the dry or soupy version, we were naturally inclined to order some as well.<br/><br/>On a wet and chilly day, some hot soupy noodles wouldâve seemed like the ideal way to go, but we went for the dry ones instead which came with an accompaniment of soup on the side.<br/><br/>Between my Bakmie Yamien and my partnerâs Bakmie Ayam Jamur, there wasnât a great deal of difference. With some seasoned flat egg noodles, choysum and champignons, the only distinguishing factor was the chicken - mine was more of a mince whereas my partnerâs came in pieces.<br/><br/>Taking my first bite after a quick toss of the noodles, I found it quite salty, more so the mince Iâd say. It was handy having the soup on side as it helped in mellowing the saltiness and all was fine until I came across a cluster of noodles clumped together midway. It was definitely not my first encounter of such but never to the extent the size of a golf ball and so inseparable.<br/><br/>Truth be told, there are better bakmie to be had elsewhere, but Iâm willing to shelve this place off for another time and give their soup noodles a go as it does look good from what we saw from the table next to us.

Came here with my cousin and friend. We had siomay bandung which is legit good for sharing, The peanut sauce so thick and tasty. The portion is so big! Worth the price. My cousin and i had the bakso special, and my friend had the ayam geprek. The bakso special is good, however the soup.. pretty light and bit bland. The meat, and the deep friend siomay are so good! :) heaps of noodle too haha<br/>Ayam geprek just ok. Sambal so spicy! :)
Tracey @ NoWongFood
A good place for a quick bite to eat. Indonesian food. My friend who is indonesian finds it good but still prefers another place.<br/>Hot lemon iced tea was very nice. They warmed it up in a large glass, which I felt I got a good value out of it. <br/>I had the Yamien Noodle for $10.50. I love an egg noodle but it was a little salty for my tastebuds, it's meant to be sweet and salty. Chicken pieces were good.Veggies were a little raw. but it was still fine to eat.
Crabapples For Lunch
A quaint little place for casual Indonesian food. The ambience is very no-fuss, and it's not uncommon to see Indonesians and Asians here having a quick meal.<br/><br/>The food is quite authentic, but also relatively simple. Generally they serve noodles with variations of toppings and ingredients on top of it. Taste is ok but honestly nothing exceptional. Their clear soup does seem like there's a reasonable amount of MSG in it. Considering their prices which are roughly $12 a bowl, it's reasonably priced and the wontons and noodles I had there were both pretty good. Good for a casual meal if you're in the area.
Khorry Sila
The fried ball is good while the wonton is not really caused they fried it a bit too long. I love their bbq pork noodle too. The portion of the noodle itself is fine, but for me add on the combo is perfect.

Starting off with the service, very friendly and accomodating staffs. The food are so YUMMY, my favourite is Batagor and Bakso Special. Must try!

If you are looking for Indonesian traditional chicken noodle, this is the perfect place. Accompanied by fried meatballs and spicy chilli sauce, the noodle soup is highly recommended. They are now selling other Indonesian dishes. Yum!
Ashley
I went to this place at lunch, firstly they take wrong order, I end up not getting what I ordered , then it only took me 2 mins to finish the combination noodle, and I paid around $12 for that. Because I was still hungry, I ordered another fried beef ball, it tastes like eating flour ball... in this whole process, they never apologize, just looking very confused at me...I spend $14 not eating what I wanted and still hungry... will never go back.
Hello. Imnikki
3.5 (nearer to a 4 than a 3)<br/><br/>Can't comment on the customer service as we ordered through Foodora. However, the cling wrap on the Yong Tofu came loose en-route to us, so half of the soup spilt into the delivery guy's delivery box. Not sure whose fault it was but he was quite apologetic about it, and it didn't really bother us after we had a taste of the soup as it was salty as! We sure weren't going to miss that soup. <br/><br/>Apart from that minor hiccup, the food was surprisingly enjoyable. The siomay (steamed fish dumplings) were huge and juicy, albeit slightly starchy, and the peanut sauce was delicious. The pork satay from the Nasi Campur was very flavourful, and I was a fan of the lean BBQ pork, which some may dislike for being dryer than the fattier cut. The Yong Tofu also got our tick of approval - the tofu was soft and silky, and generously filled with minced pork and prawn.<br/><br/>Most importantly, it was great value for money and kept my tummy very satisfied.
The Hand That Bites
Meetbowl in South Melbourne is a no frills restaurant. I wasn't blown away the food, but it's ok for a quick bite to eat. I wanted to try their special, but I honestly didn't see what was so special about it. I'd definitely eat here again though, its great value and the staff are really friendly.
Emptybowl
Poor customer service. My orders came super late, and the customers who ordered after me received their dishes first... eventhough we ordered their plain chicken noodles! Very disappointing....
Eatingmakesmehappy
A small cosy Indonesian canteen style restaurant. Went there with a friend on weekday evening. Not very busy at that time. The meatball soup noodle was good. Very light but still flavorful. Cheap, yummy, generous size, cosy. What else can you ask for?
Ferry Gondo
Lovely little Indonesian place. Used to order Yamien, thin egg noodles with minced chicken and egg. The deep fried chicken ball and fried wonton is a good companion for the noodle. Little taste of home.

Good places some times go bad, and its always the people. We get on average 3 meals delivered from this place every week or 2 and the food, and Foodora service has been great. Little things like cling wrap over the Laksa underneath the lid so it does not spill etc in delivery and always really hot. This time, they did not put any cling film on, and it must have spilled in transit, as the Foodora guy on earth brings the food, drops it in the lobby of our apartment building, calls us to come and get the food. Its then up to us to clean up his mess. So while I try and salvage some food and start making my own broth so we can eat, its also down to the lobby on hands and knees with paper towels cleaning up.OK so the delivery guy screwed up, but we rang Meetbowl to (a) let them know the meal was ruined and (b) it was a combination of no cling wrap and the delivery guy, only to be told its not their problem, and if we want to complain - call Foodora ... and then they hung up....WOWI would always try a place again after a screw up, but being told its "not our problem" by the restaurant is a bit too much - the food, if you go there is great, but I refuse to give my money to rude people
StepiiGM
Good place in South Melbourne selling Indonesian street food (near the market/woolworths). And probably the only one offering fried pork/chicken meatballs. Absolute delights! Fish dumplings were also not to be missed.<br/>Can't wait to go back đ.

This is so far the closest Indonesia meat ball dish or hawker food you can find in Melbourne. <br/>Pretty decent for a quick meal lunch or dinner. Place is not too fancy but rather humble and simple decoration. <br/>If you are nearby this area, drop in and try.
Jeffry
Meet Bowl is an Indonesian restaurant situated in South Melbourne. <br/>The concept is to introduce the popular Indonesian traditional food / hawker food to Melbourne. The place is not fancy, it has more humbly look and feel.<br/>The location is slightly hidden as it's not located in the main street of South Melbourne, but it's accessible by public transport (tram only) and plenty of car spaces.<br/><br/>We ordered the one of the Indonesian signature dishes "Bakwan Malang" for $10.50 (*previously called "Bakwan Special" - it was $9.80), they've just recently changed the price and name.<br/>"Bakwan Malang" is Eastern Java style of beef balls and varieties with choice of noodle or rice vermicelli served in traditional clear soup.<br/><br/>The portion was pretty generous; Ohh in the picture taken, we intentionally asked them to separate Fried Pork Ball (Bakwan Goreng), Fried Chicken Ball (Bakso Goreng), Fried Shumai (Siomay Goreng). Normally, they will put them together in the bowl with the Soup.<br/><br/>To make this dish even better, you can find many sort of different Indonesian sauce near the counter. We added little bit fried shallots and traditional Indonesian spicy **be careful, it's pretty hot!!!. <br/>It wasn't the best Indonesian Bakwan Malang, we've ever tried compared to local but it's pretty decent dish; But We'd say that Meet Bowl's Bakwan Malang is the best Indonesian restaurant so far in Melbourne. <br/><br/>Yay : Try these ~ Fried Pork Ball (Bakwan Goreng), Fried Chicken Ball (Bakso Goreng), Fried Shumai (Siomay Goreng)<br/>Nay : Table is little bit dirty & Oily, glass smells funny (mildew smell) due to not properly dried. <br/><br/>Tips : <br/>1. When you take a clean glass, please make sure that you choose the right one without funny smell.<br/>2. Don't put too much Indonesian traditional chili cause it's HOT.<br/><br/>Service : 2.5<br/>Speed : 3.0<br/>Taste : 3.5<br/>Price : 3.5<br/><br/>Location : 95 York Street, South Melbourne, Melbourne<br/>Phone : 03 9696 4412<br/>Website : meetbowlsouthmelbourne.com.au

Good food but slow service however "sometimes" it's worth the wait. Don't come here if you want quick dine in and out. The prices however have gone up.

Baby brought me to a new indo restaurant wooohoo! Tried their curry laksa and bomb, besides papparich, I feel the laksa vibe again! So goodddddd

There is a day that i had a lot of meat on my noodle. There is a day that i had very little meat on my noodle. Hope that next time serve with consistent meat. The food is nice. Just don't put lots of msg.
Kevin Rolimpandoei
Honestly disappointing after giving this place another chance. Waited for half an hour for chicken vermicelli which only takes 2-3 minutes to cook. The guest next to our table got their food first eventhough they arrived 20 minutes after we ordered. The excuse from the staff?? We wait until there is a similar order to cook in batches. Unbelievable!<br/><br/>Update: visited this place again after 7 months, not sure what i was thinking. Ordered the mix rice meetbowl, barely got 3-4 pieces of pork. Definitely less than usual 6-7 pieces. When i asked what happened to the portion, the waitress said âits just the placement on the plateâ. Are you frickin kidding me? Do you really think all your customers are as gullible as that?! Even worse the pork satay was flour-y, just utter disappointment.<br/><br/>Please avoid for your own good!
Piggyeatalot
Not too bad for $9. But the other people are right, it was msg laden and it was super salty. The meatballs are super starchy, not something that I am used to. I think Ria Penyet is better but they don't do a lot of noodles sadly. Next time I might try the dry noodles at Meetbowl
We Nomz
Have always ordered their beef bakwan/bakso special when dining here. Their soup can be of a hit and miss affair, some days are saltier than usual. Their beef balls have an interesting texture to them, perhaps more flour to the beef ratio. Quite a generous portion and certainly would fill you up. Overall, a decent eat for a not so fussy day.
Putriku
Aaaahhh we love the noodles here. The chilies/ sambal is sooo good and spicy. We always tend to order the same dish , well when you were starving you just want to have a comfort and familiar dish. we discovered this indonesian noodles joint about 5 yrs ago, and we used to go to this place almost every 2nd weekend đđ<br/>Love the skinny noodles with pangsit goreng and mushroms & chicken đđ
Scrumptious GG
A decent place for a quick lunch/dinner served by friendly staffs. I came here before and ordered a chicken & pork meat ball, and it was very tough. Today, I gave it another chance, and I was pretty happy with it. Ordered 'gado-gado', which is Indonesian kind of vegies salad, topped with peanut sauce. I like it, even tho I would love the peanut sauce to be roughly grounded instead of very fine and watery. Overall, a good place to eat if you are on a tight budget.

Jakarta style food .... with a bit of Indo-Chinese influence.<br/><br/>Adequately set up, semi fast food dine-in more like a take away place, not a bad price.<br/><br/>Quite generous in size, it helps to appease that "missing-home-food" feeling. Most food on the Menu are just okay, nothing spectacular.

Most of the office tends to give Meetbowl a miss, but Iâm glad I checked out it with the food a nice change from the usual. Offering authentic and possibly too authentic Indonesian cuisine â it has a no frills feel with street food-styled offerings. It does get a bit of a crowd despite the mixed rap, though could do with a bit more happening in the ambience (even noise). My order was for the Nasi Campur, guided slightly by the reports of some of the offerings being MSG-heavy and was all content with what I ended up getting.
Bioslaya
The majority of people I've met hates Meetbowl. Â It all comes down to what you ordered when you first visited the place. Â It's definitely not Chin-Chin.<br/><br/>I would advice against their Noodle Soup dishes and Bakso Special. Â The components of these dishes are in a soup, and the soup is the problem. Â Most will find the soup too salty and too heavy-handed with MSG.<br/><br/>Their rice dishes are generally good:<br/>- Nasi campur: A bit expensive, but you do get the variety.<br/>- Nasi rendang: Pretty good beef dry curry, and the 'urap' is nice.<br/>- Crispy chicken on rice: Fried to order, so takes a little while. Â Recommend calling first if you're ordering this. Â Otherwise, done pretty well and good portion.<br/><br/>Their noodle and rice vermicelli dishes are also good because when they come with soup, the soup is separated so you can decide how much of the soup you can handle. Â The BBQ pork on BBQ pork noodle I found look a bit tired, but I kind of expected it since this place don't specialize on BBQ meats.<br/><br/>I prefer their version of Curry Laksa as it is not as thick and oily as others I've had.<br/><br/>Fried balls and fried wontons: They're not horrible, however flours and starches tends to be mixed into meats in Indonesian street dishes so that a little meat goes a long way, this often results in chewy filling and barely noticeable meat flavours. Â For those who knows that this is like, the fried balls are quite good but I'd give the fried wontons a miss.<br/><br/>Their Gado-Gado is OK, it doesn't come with any rice or rice cakes.<br/><br/>Generally good choice for a quick meal that doesn't break the bank, done in Indonesian-Chinese street-food style.
Bribe My Reviews W GoodFood
A quick fix for lunch if I am looking for budget food.<br/>The food is decent enough to eat and fill but may give you a food coma because of the MSGs... I personally won't drink the broth. Apart from that it's all good but I wouldn't travel all the way to this shop.
Foodhunterxxx
This is a hit and pass place. Very diversified and not good enough for everything. Had laksa, young tofu, fried wanton and fried chicken with rice. The laksa is really plain in taste, young tofu is just in plain soup, was figuring the wanton has meat or fishcake in it which is doughy inside and bit chewy after long exposed under the heat lamp. The only judo is fried chicken which is similar with Taiwanese fried chicken and it was a surprise.

When I think of Indonesian street food, meetbowl pops into my mind. If you are looking for comfort food , this is the place to be. A big shout out to their chilli sauce.. H-O-T!
Ferolen
Our favourite place for Indonesian street food taste. There three Indonesian restaurants around this neighbourhood, this one seems the easiest one to get a table. Its not as fancy or crowded as other restaurants. <br/><br/>Majority of the dishes are under $10 and they taste ok. But if you add the right condiment, it will taste nice. There are sweet soy sauce, fried onion, chilli sauce, and vinegar for free over the counter. Our favourite is "Siaomay Bandung" (steam dim sim, baked potato, egg, and noodle over peanut sauce) or "Batagor" (the fried versions). <br/>
Joshua.ang
Went to this restaurant this afternoon for lunch but couldn't find a table to sit, the place is so small and can only accommodate less than 15 people and more than 20 people waiting at the time, yet worst thing is they don't serve customers until they find a seat. Simply they definitely need to rent a bigger outlet.
Crepes
Very reasonable food size, well priced. One of most authentic indonesian noodle soup. Reminds me to the old days, will be back again for sure!
Don Djoe
I had roller coaster experience with this place. It was great a few years ago, the it started to go down hill. The soup became super salty and some of the fried stuffs were not evenly fried. I recently came back and was very happy that they have improved back to their old standard. I hope this continues.
Darwin Tantra, TwoPaperPen
One of the best noodle soup with Indonesian tasted. <br/>They have reasonable price too. <br/><br/>I'd prefer their bbq pork on noodle (small noodle). <br/><br/>They also famous for its fried meat ball, which is with pork filing the best
Foodie1608
Amazing combination laksa. It has bbq pork, a huge pork ball, pork wonton, a huge piece of tofu, with very unique laksa soup (not the typical Indian or Malaysian curry laksa). <br/><br/>3 for $2 pork wontons is an extremely great deal too!
Snowflower
Having read mixed reviews about Meetbowl, decided to try it for ourselves. A very casual and "no-frills" restaurant. Had the chicken noodles with fried balls. The noodles were tasty, but I did not like the fried balls (so hard and dry) or the chicken (it was lukewarm and slightly tough). The soup was laden with MSG. Found myself extremely thirty post meal.
Food Fidelis
One of my favourite places to have authentic Indonesian food. Very generous with the meat balls and the pangsit goreng. The peanut sauce had a nice consistency. The noodles was cooked well and the pork was lovely. Bit tricky to get parking and the place is a bit small.
Angel Putritama
Closest indonesia mie ayam i can find in Melbourne! Taste yum! And they have a deal if you come in weekdays for lunch you will get ice lemon tea or if you check in on facebook they will give you 3 pangsit goreng which is really a good deal!
Michael
This is pretty standard Indonesian/Malaysian fare. The Curry Laksa is pretty good, but the rest of the stuff on the menu is average. <br/><br/>Unless you're in the area or you work nearby, there's no reason to come here other than for pure convenience. The place around the corner Penang road is cheaper and probably better.
Momo428
Best laksa. You wouldn't think food would be that great by looking at the atmosphere. We ate here by luck and the food is actually really good! I had the chicken laksa... It is super tasty and the soup base is thick and full of coconut flavour!
Peachy
Yummiest batagor and mie ayam. My husband and I travel from Sydney to Melbourne all the time and this is a must go place for us! Best batagor hands down in Australia!!! The peanut sauce is soooo delicious, tasty and feels so home made. I loveeee the mie ayam, very tasty! The price is so good too, I wished they would open a shop in sydney!!!

Itâs Indonesian-style fast food - simple, MSG-laden but delicious. Meetbowl is great for a really (really) casual meal with people you donât need to impress...

Nothing special. Had lunch with my husband today, we had rendang on rice ( was quite good lots of rice but not enough meat),<br/>We also had chicken noodle and fried wonton, and nasi campur for take away.. <br/>Not really our first choice of noodle and nasi campur, considering the distance.. I had much better indo food near my area. A bit disappointing . I would not go back for seconds, and the "cash only" method it's starting to become a nuisance.

Walked past this place and thought it looked cute - it have off the air of 'hey I'm a cosy little noodle soup shop and is just a waiting hidden gem" but unfortunately not. The prices of meals are super cheap but the soup was a little bland and meat balls were not tasty and a bit random. Wouldn't rule going back and trying another meal as there were many options! The table and seating options are a bit awkward, the interior looks a bit like a small cafeteria.
MF
Foods are ok, nothing really special here, tried the gado2, mie ayam, bakso bakwan, taste are standard and ambience also so-so. If u wanna have affordable and quick lunch, this place is ok
Max Bro
CUSTOMER SERVICES!. Meetbowl, such a small resto, you STILL NEED to pay attention to your customer service in a more friendly manner. The way you serve is like you have not eaten your meal in say 2 days, very lazy attitude when taking order. Seriously, train more your staff please!
Hung Ngo
Had a tasty lunch today. The combination laksa was full of flavour, possibly lots of msg too but I don't care. The (home made) ice tea is refreshing. <br/><br/>Would go back for a meal the next time I'm in the area.

Love the Noodle. I always come to this place for noodle. Love the noodle so much. they are very famous for theirs Batagor also but I prefer theirs Siomay Bandung. The peanut sauce more a bit like peanut butter sauce. They have nice meatball soup also. Craving for noodle? This place is a must try one. ^_^
Jeon
We had the duck laksa and the combination laksa. The food is good, but could be better. In terms of laksa quality, there's still much room for improvement before acheiving par standards witg bigger laksa specialists such as laksa king and chef legenda. Food could be cheaper as well.
Missaco
Good quality noodle & indo food place!. Lovely noodle, indo chinese style. Really good bakso goreng (fried pork / chicken meatball). Tried their siomay bandung last night and it was one of the most authentic one in Melbourne so far. All over tasty food, they serve fast and price is reasonable.
Perutbuncit
Used to be good. now food still ok but some of the staff are just rude. one of them is not suitable to work behind restaurant better as a princess.
Roger Kaputnik
They and you can do better. Seems to just rest on a student crowd. I don't know why many fancy it though as there are now more and more other affordable eating options in this area. Tried it again after a long time not going there but it still pretty much the same - indifferent service and fried MSG sodden Indo stuff of no great taste or value. At least they charged me what the menu said unlike last time!<br/><br/><br/>-----17 Feb, 2013-----<br/><br/>So So.... After walking past many times thought we would try it a while back but wouldn't rush back. Just so so, seems a bit amateur really and not very friendly staff. Seems like a big favourite with some young Asian students but if you are not that demographic they seem a bit snobby. They also charged us more than the stated price and when we challenged them they said "this is the old menu"?!?
John Carver
Very tasty. Very friendly. Great laksa!
Dorayaki
The menu looked very promising and interesting.....unfortunately couldn't deliver the same with the food. Salty meatballs, unfriendly service. A disappointing experience overall.
Herman Mul
Quality control required. The noodle quality has dropped, but i still love the combination laksa...and the fried chicken skins for snacks from time to time....
The Hungry Pug
Bare tables and harsh light. in good weather there are tables out the front as well. the duck noodles are good, but the broth accompanying it is often oily. the combination laksa is good and they do a bunch of tasty gorengan. their chicken rice is ok as well. overall, its a good quick local lunch joint.
Cynthia Tjiupek
Meetbowl. Food is too salty. But the chilli is superb
Angel Khong
Other than the Batagor?. Nothing else seems to interest me. The restaurant looks messy, the service is so-so, the cuisine isn't impressive at all. I don't mind visiting it once in a while, but it just is not my favourite Indonesian restaurant.
David Fitrio
Mie ayam is what they serve. Really loves it. For Indonesians away from home and really miss the taste of their backyard chicken noodle, then definitely this is the place to visit.
Gareth
Just had some takeaway from there. The gado gado was inedible, however the noodle soups were passable. Essentially food court quality.
John
Doesn't like it. The food is very terrible, and also is not really nice, the food is just standard of indonesia foods.....
Ed
Minimalist. Meetbowl is probably only recommended for die-hard fans of Indonesian food, which strangely you don't seem to find much of in Australia despite being a neighbouring country.<br/><br/>There was nothing grand about the place, just a humble place with basic furniture and almost plain walls. We stepped up to the counter to order and there you find a single menu on the bain-marie. No greeting, no smiles from the male staff member... Being ignored isn't usually a good start.<br/><br/>We decided upon the bakso special having heard much of but not having had bakso ever. Upon paying, I realised we had to get our own cutlery. Hmmm... there's a theme emerging.<br/><br/>Tucking into the bakso, I found it underwhelming. Maybe Meetbowl does do a mean bakso and it was chock-full of meatballs, but as a bowl of noodle soup, it was nothing spectacular compared to pho, ramen or wonton noodles.<br/><br/>With a minimalist decor and minimalist service, the experience was forgettable. And I'll stick to dishes like ayam pangang, nasi goreng and beef rendang when I feel like having Indonesian food again.
Kwanghui
Real Indonesian food. Real, down to earth, hearty indonesian food. Nothing fancy, no pretense. The kind of good stuff you will eat on the streets of Jakarta
HLRS-A
Meatball....Yum!. Delicious traditional Indonesian dishes. Some of the dishes are a little salty but overall it is very good and the price is very cheap. I especially love the fried beef meatballs and this is the only restaurant I know that has them.
Iggy
This is my favourite Indonesian noodle cafe. Food are quite cheap and nice as well. I always order either their chicken noodle (bakmi ayam), laksa, pempek, siomay bandung, bakwan or bakso special.
