Update 22june22:
Two years since my review! Still quick and friendly service. Today had lunch of Chicken Schnitzel with broccoli and herbed new potatoes. I asked for a wedge of lemon but they did not have any! Was not interested in the gravy. All somewhat a bit dry °though a generous serving. $14.90 as it was a main and 2 sides (see menu board photo).
The Tuna sandwich as takeaway was delicious.

i went to this cafe last week and i saw one of the team members spit in someone’s coffee.. they also charged me $11.90 for a coffee!! THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY AND HAPPINESS

such yummy food and amazing staff- one staff member walked us from one cafe to the other making sure we made it to the right spot. yummy coffee too 🤭

After enduring a painful 6AM flight, Spin coffee was the perfect breakfast starting point. Great bagel and coffee ☕

This place is ok for coffee and a fast breakfast or lunch. The service has always been good and prices are reasonable.
The food and coffee isn't exceptional, but it has a standard cafe vibe and thats what you get.
Kanika
Friendly staff! Good service. Amaze coffee. Got some late lunch from here. Will visit them again soon.

Grabbed a take away coffee from here. The service was nice from the assistant.
This place did a reasonable trade when I was there and I could tell the barista was stressed as there was milk being splashed around everywhere.
My strong skinny latte was alright but I was concerned when the barista poured the milk in 1 hit just to pump the coffees out.
There was no milk froth and whilst the coffee was strong, and the flavour nice, when paying for a coffee I don’t really want a coffee made in a rush. Because I like a latte and that’s what I ask for.

Very nice the coffe is great, i loved it, definitely going there again.

Nice cafe, can be very busy at times. The coffee and food are very good, pricing is normal for Cbd. The time waiting for a coffee is its down fall... wait far too long. Staff seem to be having a social occasion at times... if you’re not in a rush, then recommend this cafe.

[coffee only]Loads of seating indoors and out. I like the vibe on busy sunny days.
My strong skinny latte is a little thin but I definitely get the strength. It's slightly bitter, from the dark roast.
There are also a lot of basic lunch options with sandwiches, salad and hot food available, but it feels kind of deli-like.

Spin Coffee is one of my favourite lunch spots during work. They have really fast service and serve very delicious food. I love their chicken schnitzel with mashed potato, and any of their curry / stew-y dishes. Awesome for winter weather especially. The chef is also very friendly and I enjoy chatting with him from time to time!
The Dear Luncher
If a coffee shop can absolutely nail the irregular order of a triple-shot macchiato in the first attempt, it gets The Dear Luncher stamp of approval. On days that are particularly sluggish, this triple-shot just provides that extra oomph a man sometimes needs at the start of the day. This coffee was robust and tasty – no overt bitterness. Also consumed was the breakfast wrap. Not the greatest wrap on earth, but for $8 with the coffee there cannot be any complaints. This wrap came in an easy-to-eat triangle/cone type shape which ensured no mess was made on The Dear Luncher’s ridiculously expensive Italian suit.

The food is pretty tasty, the coffee just about ok, but the service is poor; both orders for different rounds of drinks had to be followed up at the counter because they never arrived.

I work in the city and occasionally get either a sandwich or salad from Spin. Every time I get disappointed not sure why I keep giving them a shot. The food isn’t bad, but they are SOOOOOOOOOOOO stingy for what you pay for. I had chicken and 2 sides (salad) it was literally filled half way and this isn’t the first time. It’s not okay to pay $16 for something that isn’t worth a cent more than $10. Just be generous actually just be fair with your servings. I asked a few people in the office and they all agreed, too expensive for what you get.

Today I needed a quick grab and go lunch and what better than a pork and jalapeño coleslaw ciabatta. The friendly staff even suggested toasting which was a good call.

Place seemed reasonably busy with more choosing to soak up the rays outside than to stop in. Plenty of hot food options and some impressive looking muffins (the lychee & coconut muffin looked super delicious).

Service was fast, efficient and friendly which is all you can ask for really.

Split The Bill
Today, I had a coffee and treat here. The coffee was delicious, creamy great code black coffee roasters and it served warm. However serving size was small and hasn't hit the spot yet. I had a butterbing cookie with peanut butter as a treat. Will definitely come back as the deco feels relaxed and its quite however I'll get a large coffee instead.
Sasha
Delicious food and not too expensive. Slightly more interesting than the average café. Great place for lunch, and a good spot to people watch.

Chicken Caesar is a fave! Today's version contained perfectly cooked eggs & deliciously crunchy baguette croutons. Service always good, perfect for corporate lunches eat in or takeaway. Great range of hot meals & sandwiches. Coffee/breakfast special good value $
Northern Hunter
Consistently very good quality takeaway coffee and a good selection of takeaway breakfast options which are more than often served at almost exactly the same time as your coffee is ready. Very busy around 10am most mornings, but they get through the orders quickly whilst never compromising on quality.

I stopped by the get some takeaway brekky. Shirt wait. Great soy latte worthy of 4.5 stars. Muffin was not from today (or was overcooked). But for $7.90 coffee & muff deal, no biggy. I'd go back for the coffee. The sandwiches looked amazing in the counter, so may go back to try the lunch. Will update

I often come to this restaurant for business meetings. It has nice coffee, and a light and spacious fitout (although it can get a bit loud when it gets busy).

Today I decided to get some lunch to take-away, and decided on the large mixed salads for $12.50. I chose the beetroot, feta and egg salad, the cauliflower and pomegranate salad, and the strawberry, fig and brie salad. I am very easy to please, but these salads were not enjoyable at all.

The 1st salad was overrun with strange, flavourless beetroot (presumably from a can), and contained not once piece of feta. This salad was inedible for me. The cauliflower and pomegranate salad was the nicest out of the 3, but still wasn't great. It was simply cauliflower and pomegranate. I couldn't taste any sort of dressing / herbs/ ANYTHING. The strawberry, fig and brie salad contained one measly bit of brie, and one strawberry, and was over run by sickly sweet, dried figs. Apart from the one bit of brie and the solitary strawberry, I also found this salad inedible.

I hate to rate a restaurant so low, but I am really, really disappointed with this experience. If you are after salads, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. The selection of wraps and rolls however, looked beautiful, so maybe give them a go!

The fitout in this cafe was very well done.
I ordered the halloumi and avocado and a coffee. The size of the sandwich was very large. I also had the coffee, which is probably the nicest coffee in Melbourne. The coffee on its own, would have a rating of 4.5

The staff were nice and patient.

Perfect for a quick snack and head back straight into the office. I gave it a 3.5 because the ordering at the counter (and having seperate transactions if you want something added) and the menu's and signs aren't very helpful. Also, the hot dish section doesn't really cater for vegetarians as it seemed as though the only vegetarian hot options were sides.

My new favorite cafe in the CBD. Modern cafe in a nice little square with sunshine during lunch. Nice coffees and sweets on offer. The sandwiches are really tasty and fresh.must try the Reuben Great selection of hot food with salads and veggies. Love the roast beef and chicken schnitzel. Staff friendly and efficient. 2 thumbs up.

This cafe is behind my work, so it's easy to get to, however, be warned. I have NEVER had a good coffee from this place or good service. They're range in ready to eat food is poor also. The front of house staff will not listen to what you order and write down whatever they feel like for your coffee order, which is quite a shock when you don't get what you paid for at 8am. The baristas are a mixed bag as well and you will never get the same cup of coffee twice from the same barista. Quite convinced to NEVER EVER return here after giving them 3+ chances to get it right.

Turn up in less than a suit and tie and you will standout here. It's not fine dining but is sandwiched between a bunch of high rises in the heart of the legal sector. You'll find mostly corporate types grabbing a quick bite and a little vitamin e before scurrying back to their hamster wheels and endless paperwork (no offence, I'm guilty here too).

Although table service is on offer you will have to order at the counter and take a number. On the day I went it was an unusually blistering hot spring day and their outdoor section with a view of the intersection between Bourke and William st was great for people watching.

I ordered the kale and bacon salad with boccocini and the carrot/ lentil salad. You can choose any three to squash into a bowl. I really loved the kale salad, it was full of flavour and the bacon was the perfect mix between crispy and meaty. The carrot salad on the other hand looked great with the purple, yellow and orange carrots but tasted like a bunch of boiled carrots peppered with lentils. I really struggled with this one.

Coffee was surprisingly rally good. I'm a bit of a snob and expected it to be a cup of black hot water but it was great. Would have given it a better rating if the kale salad was a small side (so rich with all the melted cheese and bacon) and the carrot salad was never chosen at all.

I will definitely give it another go as they had quite a range but chose salad cause I wanted something fresh and felt like I had gorged on animal goods by the time I finished (not really what you want from a salad). If you work near this place I recommend the coffee, unless of course you ruin it with milk, I can't vouch for lattes.

this place looks busy but service is quick. staff gave me the very last of their chicken casserole and offered to put in more chicken from the roast.

Absolutely terrible service. I ordered a seeded bagel with butter and my boyfriend ordered the chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich in the display. After waiting about 20 minutes, they mixed it up and put avocado and bacon on a plain bagel, so we just said that it was the wrong order and re-ordered the food. They then came over and said there was no seeded bagels so I just went for a plain one with butter which they finally brought over and then gave my boyfriend the wrong sandwich again! So after bringing us the wrong order 3 times the waitress practically threw the sandwich on the table and didn't apologise or speak to us for the rest of the time that we were there.

Overpriced & small portions. I used to go to spin at least once a week, however after today I will not be coming back. Paid $16 for the tiniest portion, not to mention that the meatballs were cold when they were supposed to be warm.

This place is a gem! Always come here for lunch. Only place in the area where I can get a decent, filling meal for a very reasonable price. The chicken schnitzels are amazing!

Rubbish! Only ordered a coffee and the service was tragic slow! AND they got the order wrong! Never coming back here....

Freshly baked muffins!. This is where I go for freshly baked muffins, still warm at around 7:30am. They have two different selections each day - which have always been moist .
Also had the salmon bagel which was fresh . I feel like even though the food is pre-made, it has been made lovingly with good produce and has not been sitting around for days refrigerated.
If you are looking for a super quick take away coffee, then maybe head else where as many office workers also come here for coffee and yes you might be waiting for 5+ minutes.

Who makes my coffee?. Hi. I do like this place that opened up earlier this year. I get a coffee from them on my way to the office. but I have noticed their coffee makers are inconsistent. The tall guy barisata who makes my coffee is good. If anyone else is on the machine, I walk away.

This place is spot on, awesome an different flavours (avocado pink grapefruit and basil! Perfecto!) and excellent coffee. Staff are really friendly, I highly recommend!

Terrific options!. The salads are interesting and filling as are the other options! It gets really busy but it never feels hectic! I think the counter staff are really on the ball and nice. My favourite staff members are the chefs! One bc they produce food I can only dream of making myself, and two bc they gave my greyhound leftover poached chicken carcasses. It was unasked for and nice and proves that animal lovers are nice people and good cooks (I must be the only exception!).

Come for the coffee, stay for the brownies. Excellent coffee and the little treats in the display case near the register are amazing! Haven't been disappointed from anything I've had here so far.

Avoid. 11am not even busy and it took so freaking long to toast a takeaway sandwich. I told the assistant I won't be back.

Fresh. Lovely café located in a new strip of cafes just off Little Collins St (enter via William St). For lunch you choose what you want from pre-made meals and fresh salads. I'm always slightly adverse to pre-made meals but they have the formula down pat here. You can see into the huge kitchen at the back and it appears the meals are made in small batches (rather than in one huge massive cookup) so the food is really fresh. The buttermilk poached fried chicken was great - not oily at all. The seasonal salad I chose on the side was crunchy and delicious and the rosemary potatoes were divine. Make the most of the residual good weather and grab a seat outside. Definitely recommended.

Delish. First chilly (ish) day of the year and so I just couldn't go past a beef bourguignon and wow it's freakin' tasty! Chef also came out and allayed my celiac related concerns by listing exactly what was in the stew. Great spot to have available just downstairs :)

Ordered a coffee with caramel , received a double shot cappchino with no caramel the barrister told me they don't offer flavouring didn't even offer me another coffee. So I was stuck with a coffee I couldn't drink. Also ordered gluten free toast, the girl put my table number wrong so it took forever and the bread wasn't gluten free.
Not impressed!
