Found their "Buy 1, Get 1 for free" promotion for Pan Mee so decided to swing by (ends on June 14th FYI). We grabbed their homemade Pan Mee soups making sure one of them is spicy for my friend who loves everything spicy. Keeping it short, friendly staff, decent broth, and dope oriental interior. The broth was light but also hearty enough to keep you warm on a cold winter day like ones we are having right now - seriously, what's going on right now man. I'm legit wearing layers of winter jackets at home to stay warm. Overall, not bad, not bad at all.

i tried their famous dry pan mee noodles ($13.80) which came with spinach, wood ear mushrooms, little anchovies and minced pork. you get to choose your type of noodles as well so i chose the teared ones for the best texture. the sauce itself was a bit one dimensional and quite sweet but once you add the sambal it gives it such a good kick of spice! also comes with a little tub of soup with 2x fish dumplings. very worth it for the serving size.

The popular chain in Malaysia have opened their doors in Melbourne and i was so excited to try it

We ordered the pan mee noodles and noodle soup along with some sodes. We really enjoyed the the noodles and dont forget to get the chill from the sauce and water station at the front.

Dont forget to try the fish crackers also known as keropok lekor, the texture is chewy and nice and the flavours were good

The chilli brings the dishes to another level and was really authentic. Overall we really enjoyed the noodles and meal at Go Noodle

Be mesmerised by the oriental interior when first sterling into the restaurant and be welcomed with the friendly staff they lastd the whole time.

Dates wolf berry tea - a sweet yet perfectly brewed tea.

Superior soup beef and pork combo- the broth is more of a subtle

Superior soup pan mee is more of a heavy soup and strong in taste. We chose the tear noodle which bunched up and made the dish filling

Trio platter - pork fried is tastes somewhat like spam but the crispy beancurd was impressive in the sense that it was so crisp and remained that way. The Chinese donut was slightly tough but complimented well with the noodles.

Special dark sauce with choice of noodle. The noodles were somewhat chewy and hard but mixed well with the variety of sides which consisted of salty crisp anchovies, minced meat and the crispiest shallots. Mixed them all and variety of flavours become one.

Oh wow. WOW. Five stars for their keropok lekor (fried fish dumpling crackers)!! Fish balls and roe were also worth a try - fresh, springy and the roe inside gives out a warm, flavorful burst.

Will. Come. Back.

Great addition to the thriving Chinese food scene in Melbourne. The handmade noodles are fresh, delicious and tasty. There is plenty of variety to choose from - for spice lovers, check out the chilli pan mee with thick noodles šŸ˜‹ The venue is clean, comfortable and spacious which is unusual for a restaurant like this. And, love the craft beer too! šŸ»

Quite liked this place for their noodles! We ordered dried pan mee with a variety of toppings (mince pork, fried little fishies and fried shallots) that comes with soup, it was an ginormous portion! I love the dipping sauce you get with it.

My dining companion ordered bitter melon fish noodle soup and he quite liked it as well. You can order some rice wine to pour into your soup which makes it super yummy.

Their bak gwa (pork jerky) tasted yummy as well but I found their fish skin inconsistent- some are crispy and some are not as crispy. Also there are a number of things that are not available in the menu which is disappointing

Specialising in Malaysian hand-pulled noodles, the dishes are characterised by a clean broth with crisp salty anchovies.

Not a lot of restaurants do it, but if the chilli pan mee is on special, try it. Itā€™s one of my favourites.

Itā€™s a bowl of medium width flat noodles, woodear mushroom, pork mince, anchovies, housemade chilli oil and a soft boiled egg.

Mix everything up and everything gets coating in the egg, making it luxurious.

Nice texture on the noodles with a bit of resistance.

Service is professional and friendly, and the restaurant itself is clean.

Some really good noodle options, give it a go!

Yummy handmade noodles. The noodles were of an exceptional chewy quality. The soup was tasty albeit a little on the salty side. The portion was generous for the price point. All in all, a satisfactory meal.

Great place to catch up or eat alone! Noodles taste super fresh! I had the mushroom soup noodle with truffle oil. The dish was very delicious to start but I felt it was too overwhelming by the end! But it could be from being so full as their portions are quite generous.

23-June 2013

Was here this afternoon for lunch and ordered a bowl of noodles with garoupa fish in superior soup and add on bitter melon with an additional charge of $2. The fish was cut into thick slices served together in the soup with the noodles. The presentation of the fish meat on top of the noodles give an appetising look. One bite of the fish meat will make you want more and it is very fresh. Also order their pork and chives dumplings in spicy sauce. You can actually feel the fish flavour in the soup. Noodle is well cooked. Overall I have a satisfying meal of the day. Staffs are friendly and the decoration was old China look. Will come again. Prices are reasonable and portion are big serving.

There's heaps of food on the menu that I wanted to try. But today, we tried the bursting meatball udon noodle soup and also the pan mee dry noodles.

The bursting meatballs were very interesting. The filling tasted like a garlic taste but not sure what it is. It was unique and nice. The soup was very clear and piping hot.

The dry noodles had a fishball soup, some cold minced meat, anchovies and scallots to go with it. Mixed it all in with the sauce and the taste was still very very light, almost no flavor. The soup had a very fishy taste.

Iā€™m so happy GO Noodle House is finally in Melbourne! I first tried this place in KL, Malaysia and this Melbourne franchise did not disappoint. The staff is prompt and service is quick. More importantly, the food is just as good!
For those of you who arenā€™t familiar, the way it works is that you can choose from existing noodle bowls or make your own; from the type of noodle (Mi Xian is the speciality but they have pan mee or udon options as well), broth (ā€˜superiorā€™ which is like a clear chicken stock or ā€˜spicy superiorā€™ which is spicy and sour), and a variety of proteins. My favourite is the superior broth with fish ball roe and mi xian.

We had a quick dinner here in this lovely venue on Saturday night. I had a pork and beef udon soup and my partner had Pan Mee with udon. Incredibly yummy with good broth and fantastic value at just $10 a bowl after 9pm!! I also like that there is lots of space for seating. 5/5. We will definitely return again after dark šŸ˜‹

What a delight this place is! Been wanting to try here for a while. First of all, great value for money. Massive bowl of soup filled with noodles, and packed with bok choy and seafood. They donā€™t hold back on the seafood either, solid amount of clams, mussels, large fish pieces and a juicy large prawn. Order extra fish balls with roe - yummm! Got here right on 12pm - place packs quickly so get in early to get a seat!

I am a huge fan of soup noodles and hence was pleasantly surprised by this Malaysian addition to Melbourne.Ā

The mixian noodle in superior soup was clean tasting and yet packed with so much flavour. The dry pan mee here is rather special with the noodles having such great texture and very tasty even before mixing together with the provided mince meat, dried anchovies and fried shallots.Ā

The serving here is huge and I like that they have a complimentary condiment counter. A warning though, the sambal is super spicy so take in small doses.

Not sure....why other review just gave 3 stars as they mentioned that they will come back to this restaurant, why?

For me....This restaurant's best dish is the (dry) Pan-Mee.
I been there many times....still think it is the best Pan-Mee noodle house in Melbourne.
The sambal chilli.....you could get as much as you want as long as you could take the "hot".

I will 100% go back again on a timely basis.

Sorry for the half eaten bowl of noodles. A nice quick place for lunch and it was a neat idea how they let you customise your dish to your liking. I had the hot and sour soup with pan mee which is apparently their signature dish.

I really quite enjoyed the texture of the noodles and the flavour of the broth; the servings were also very generous. Try it before adding the condiments; itā€™s definitely more sour than hot but that is easily fixed. Adding the mince pork was a bit of a mistake as it just disappears into the food. Best to have something with a bit more substance. My companion has the superior soup was was a bit boring but the mi xian (also known as Lai fun to the Cantonese) was really quite good too. Might try some of the other dishes next time.

Delicious! We ordered the superior pan mee (classic) and the autumn special dry chili pan mee. The ā€œtearā€ noodles were actually thin smooth neat squares, different to the homemade style - uneven with lots of chewy bite - but still nice to eat. Added an extra shot of rice wine to the stock but probably didnā€™t need it, it was already pretty good. I do wish the anchovies were crispier. All in all a satisfying meal.

šŸ˜±Lizzieā€™s first impression: Iā€™ve been eyeing everyone inside whenever they eat the hand made noodles and I finally got to try it.

šŸ©Lizzie enjoyed: the noodles were as good as I expected them to be. It was al dente and almost on the hard side which I love - the flavour were delicious and I couldnā€™t get enough of it. The portions are also very big so be sure to go there when youā€™re very hungry!

šŸ…Lizzie did not enjoy: I do not recommend the onsen egg as it really doesnā€™t add value to the dish at all.

šŸ„‡Lizzie rates overall: a great place for a quick feed and great for noodle and carb lovers.

Malaysiaā€™s noodle specialists, GO Noodle House, have settled right into their first Australian flagship store on Little Bourke Street, with lines of loyal followers visiting every day.

GO Noodle House has over 30 outlets throughout South East Asia, and is a powerhouse on the noodle scene, famous for their clear seafood bisque ā€˜Superior Soupā€™ and dry-based Mi Xian noodles, which is a dish that was passed down through generations into the hands of the GO Noodle team, and hails from the Qing Dynasty of the 17th century.

On the corner of exhibition street and little bourke street, GO noodle house is a specialist in Malaysian noodles that uses a tick-box customization menu format - giving you the option for that custom noodle creation.

Ordered:
šŸ² Beef & Pork combo (119A): Superior soup with mi xian noodle, combination of different meats, bok choy and coriander ($14.80)
šŸ„–+ chinese donut ($2.00)
šŸ„š+ onsen egg ($2.00)
šŸ¶+ 5 year old rice wine ($2.00)

Review:
The 5 year old rice wine by itself doesn't smell much like alcohol, but has that vinegary spicy punch that makes you hesitant in adding it with your noodles šŸ˜–
But when you add it to the basic superior soup, it adds a very distinct soy sauce flavour; giving it that goooood old salty umami hit!

The interior is cramped but doesn't seem like it due to its cleverly high ceilings. However it is notable when you try to get a table in a large group.
GO Noodle House also encourages self service - with drinking stations, utensils, and a sauce/dipping station located up front near the register.
This means when you're on your way back to your seat, it becomes a precarious adventure juggling all your items and dodging the waiters in the narrow space.

The floor to ceiling windows also gives you the greatest natural lighting when Melbourne's sunny weather decides to peak through.

This is my first time to put down a review. Went to this restaurant twice ! I like the dry sauce pan mee so much delicious and the portion is large. The soup noodle is plentiful and my husband have the Mixian with seafood combination. Last week we visited we met a very helpful lady waitress Christine she is extremely friendly and knowlegable ! She went into details about the noodles, and helped us pick the best options on the menu. The second time we went she was worked on the cashier and she remember me as well ! Purely she has a lovely smile and very personable, that's why my husband leave some tips (quite a small tip). She made our visit much welcome. Just one problem was we have been wait for 30-40mins for the noodle to be serve...I hope this can be improve and we will definately come back again !

Heard about Go Noodle houseā€™s hype in Malaysia from friends. Now they have open a store in Melbourne. Their legendary pan mee was delicious and saucy... with its pork minced, fried ikan bilis or anchovy made it splurging licking good! The extra onsen egg played sidekick to this noodle dish but i thought you can go without it. The other dish I was the clam noodle soup. For me the soup was clean and tasty and the clams.. the bowl was covered with it. Initially i thought it was going to be a couple of shellfish, the more I dig into, felt like it was bottomless bucket of clams calling it out to me. As for the other star of this dish, their garlic chilli sauce.. spicy and delicious! The heat kept increasing in my mouth but no bother... spicy it was i thought i was in spice haven. For fans of noodles and chilli, this is one pitstop to go to.

Dry pan mee is very good and authentic in this newly opened Malaysian restaurant. The soup for dry pan mee is a bit too salty for my liking. Their soup mi xian noodle is very tasty too. The menu is a bit complicated, but waitness explained to each table how to order. Restaurant is quite big. Can suit large group of people. Can also reserve for table to avoid disappointment. Their side dishes is must try. Love their fried fish skin. Located at the end of Chinatown. Close to train station and tram. Will come back and try others.

We were invited to the launch of Go Noodle House to experience their signature individually cooked noodles. This is a popular chain overseas and we were lucky to try the first branch in Australia for some authentic dishes. We enjoyed the chicken balls and fish cakes before waiting for the main event.

I opted for the thick noodles with dark sauce (not the spicy option!) and added an onsen egg as well as sliced beef. I really enjoyed the flavour of the noodles and the egg was an excellent addition. My dining companion chose the thin noodle option and both dishes came with anchovies, some soup with seafood dumplings and pork mince on the side to mix in as you chose.

I also really liked the snow pear drink I tried. The staff were super helpful and attentive and if you like these traditional style dishes this is the place for you!

Great flavor, good location and easy to order. I just picked a popular one off the menu because I can't be bothered mixing and matching protein with noodles bases etc as I'll surely stuff it up, but you can customize it if you want. Food was great, also enjoyed the plum juice drink. Would have given it 5 stars but there were some flies buzzing around which is a bit too authentic for me...
