Very small, but still great bakery on the side of the road in the city. My go to whenever needing some bread for home and in that are. They also have great sweets like danishes and donuts which are super yum.
4/5 for the bread.
I been past this bakery outlet for a while now and I was after some breakfast so I grabbed a croissant and a loaf of bread.
My croissant was ok, but it was rather dense and doughy, and rather heavy. It certainly wasn’t light fluffy, or buttery.
But the bread. OMGosh this was delicious! I brought some 100% rye which was fantastic, and it tasted like it was a sourdough rye which is unusual but really tasty!
The loaf had a good hard crust, Yummo and the bread was still fresh the following day.
I was surprised to see a Woodfrog Bakery stall on my walk down Elizabeth Street last night. Having been a fan of their bread from Camberwell, Kew and Doncaster I think it’s great to have it available in the city. Better still I got there when they were selling off their baguettes and pastries at the end of the day. I got an olive and a walnut baguette for a reasonably priced $5 still fresh and springy as I like. Will definitely come back now I know it’s here.
Great sourdough! I bought pumpkin one for $5. I like the texture, it’s not too chewy and not too soft. Just perfect👌🏻
Will go back to try other sourdoughs/walnut baguette/hot cross buns
Tried the walnut baguette and pain au chocolat the other time, walnut baguette was heavenly- toast and spread butter on it. The pain au chocolat tasted more like a usual danish that has no wow factor. Today I managed to try their almond croissant and I was blown out- at how the almond filling matches perfectly well with the crust, and that I’m surprised that the filling wasn’t that sweet. Hope to have it once again before I leave Australia for good this month!

This small bakery sells a wide range of breads and bakes.
The staff are friendly and there are sometimes samples to try of the breads. The almond croissant is amazing with a sweet soft puree inside and the crossaint itself has layed and crispy.
Finally got to try their pastry. Have walked past here once and was enticed by their various display of fresh pastry but didn’t had the time to try it and so this time decided to try their apple danish! It’s so delicious and I look forward to try their other pastries soon.
Also saw mock chocolate on their menu!!
We stayed just around the corner and we made this our regular morning stop. The almond milk cappuccinos are so good. (Only wish there was one size bigger!) We sampled some of the baked treats and they were such a delight.
Great selection of pastries and baked treats. Coffee was really great, was our go to take away spot while we were in Melbourne. Quite a small space so sometimes the toasties took a while if lots of people were ordering. Highly recommend
Fantastic bakery and coffee around the neighborhood, recommended.

Got a great picnic spread. Super friendly and delicious
I've had desserts from this bakery before and finally visited one of the brick and mortars. The service was prompt and so friendly. Prices are pretty reasonable (especially for the toastie and coffee deals) and the sweets selection is unique. I've had the salted egg croissant before which is always a hit, but this time I tried the slightly less sweet matcha bronut. It's not too rich and so delicious.
The coffee is good and the selection of pastries is great. And if you are lucky enough, your jam filled brioche lamington will have been injected twice by mistake! Oh what a lovely mistake!
Great coffee, and the danishes/donuts/sweet treats are incredible.
