Review Narai Classic Thai - Melbourne

Willtravelforfood17
We were kindly invited to Narai Classic Thai for a delicious Thai feast. We started with their Northern Thai sausages which were bursting with flavour and spices, as well as their son-in-law eggs with tamarind sauce - they were so addictive that I wanted more! Mains were beef massaman curry and charcoal grilled pork. The beef was so tender and the curry was rich and comforting. It was amazing to eat with the fragrant coconut rice. The grilled pork was tender and flavourful with a bit of the smokey char from the grill. For dessert we finished with a classic fried banana with ice cream and whipped cream. The batter on the banana was light and crunchy and dessert was a sweet end to the night. Thank you Narai Classic Thai for having us!

A different yet extremely irresistible Thai feast @naraiclassicthai is bound to make you fall in love with this place. The flavor meets creativity here, which is sure to please any foodie. Yes there are also classic Thai curries besides the unique, signature and tasty appetizers and desserts. What we had: Potato string prawns, an impossibly delectable entree, that's crunchy on the outside and so soft from the inside. Peking Duck Spring Rolls, the filling is so mouth watering, making the spring rolls so tempting. Yello Curry Lamb with rice, creamy, mouth melting yellow thai curry, with succulent lamb pieces and crispy shredded carrot on top, makes it absolutely divine. Pad Cha Seafood, served sizzling hot, and is immensely flavorsome and delicious that's full of prawns, fresh veggies. Pineapple fritters, crunchy outler layer, with a tangy pineapple filling in the inside. Served hot with ice-cream. The yummy taste of it, is absolutely to die for. Mixed berry crepes, foodies with sweet tooth, might not wanna share this filling berry crepes with anyone else, since it's too hard to resist. Midori splice cocktail, tangy, refreshing yet not too intense cocktail. Moreover, the vibe of this place is so cozy and comforting, besides their friendly team of staff. The service is swift and the prices are so pocket friendly. Guys definitely checkout this place after lockdown @naraiclassicthai you'll be highly satisfied with the quality and the taste of their appetizers, mains, drinks and desserts

Lovely decorated thai restaurant. I was amazed walking in at the beautiful decor and setting of this restaurant. Comfy seating with more seating in the back behind the counter. They also have set menu options, banquets. Staff were very hospitable and food arrived timely. A favourite was the papaya salad which reminded me of Thailand. The vegetable spring rolls were also delicious.

staff was friendly and ready to assist and facilitate our needs. plenty of seating inside and well distanced apart from other tables there is plenty of options on the menu boasting their authentic thai cuisine - however when we asked for suggestions they recommended the Korean Fried Chicken (which I'm sure is lovely) but not quite thai. i noticed a couple other Vietnamese dishes too hehe overall the food was tasty but it lacked the extra depth, zest, and spice you would usually find in thai cuisine. and as it wasn't very spicy this spot would be perfect for those who can't handle the heat

Visited Narai Thai in Fairfield on Friday's evening, we were warmly welcomed by the floor staff. The service was warm and friendly. We had their crispy tofu, chicken satay and crispy prawn as starters, they tasted delicious. We then moved on to our mains which is the whole baramundi in choo chee sauce, softshell crab salad and stir fry veg in pork belly. I cant fault the baramundi, it was so perfect. The softshell crab was too mild to my liking but it's still tasted good. We finished off with banana fritters for dessert. It was crispy and airy. We truly enjoyed our Thai evening here. Instagram: eatwithhendri

I was lucky enough to be invited to dine at this beautiful restaurant in the heart of Fairfield. The spread we had was amazing. First we dined on the Peking duck spring rolls which is a concept I’d never tried before but wow the flavours were incredible and totally worked. We also dined on the chicken satay which you can never go wrong with! The chicken was tender and the sauce was so creamy and delicious. For mains we had the Massaman Curry with beef which was so so tender and it was to die for, with a serve of coconut rice that was so fluffy it was divine. We also had their Kana Moo Kaob which was their stir fried crispy pork with steamed broccoli, the sauce on the pork was so flavoursome and this dish was a definite standout! Would order again 🤩 We finished off the evening with the banana and Nutella roti and the mixed berry crepes. If I had to choose one I would choose the Banana and Nutella roti as the other dessert item I found was quite boring. We absolutely loved our experience at Narai Classic Thai and I actually think it is the best Thai food I have ever received. The service we received was also super friendly and just made the experience just that much better 🤍

We visited Narai Classic Thai Restaurant a couple of weekends ago for an absolutely delicious & authentic Thai feast!! The decor was very suitable for the type of restaurant & I loved the lighting fixtures. For drinks we tried the: Midori Splice & Mojito. Both were made perfectly and balanced well. For food we tried the: Chicken Satay, Crispy Tofu, Prawn Pad Thai, Pad Prik Khing Moo Krob, Banana Fritters & Berry Crepes. We are both massive Pad Thai fans & we LOVED Narai's! The Tofu was also a stand out, it was well seasoned, Crispy & the dressing pulled it all together. Yummy! The dessert stand out we're the banana fritters..we were raving about this to the waitress on the night. The batter was seriously perfect & it didn't take away from the delicious flavour. I would recommend you try for yourself! Overall we were really impressed with Narai Classic Thai & will absolutely be back even if it's only for their Pad Thai & fritters! Do yourself a favour and visit these guys!

I don't eat much take away as often its disappointing. A very good choice tonight, an exact opposite to the thai food I ordered a few weeks ago in Kew. The roti & peanut sauce was tasty & satisfying, so too the yellow curry with tender lamb. Thankyou, I'll be back for more!

Went here on a Monday night and it was quiet. Not sure if that was a sign or just a case of a rainy Monday. We were promptly seated at a table, water and menu provided. We ordered two curries (Red and Massaman), roti with peanut dipping sauce, jasmine rice and calamari salad.

Service was 10/10 (but we were the only people in the restaurant)

Food 5/10. Sadly I can only rate this a 5 because half the food was good, the other not so good. The red curry was flavoursome and had a good amount of chicken and veg. The massaman however was tasteless and had none of flavour I love in a massaman. When trying a new Thai restaurant I always go with a massaman as my ‘yard stick’ and this one was bland. No zing from pineapple and no deep peanut and warm flavour. It was also very watery. We ended up scooping the vegetables from the massaman and putting it into the red curry for takeaway. The jasmine rice that accompanied the curry was very sticky and was too glue like for me. The roti and peanut dipping sauce was great though. The calamari salad was 50/50. The calamari itself was well cooked but it was drowned in so much fish sauce that we couldn’t eat the greens (lettuce) that the calamari was sitting on top. So it wasn’t really a salad but a pile of over sauced calamari. The sauce too I suspect was likely to be a bottled as it had that really sweet and sticky taste.

Overall I wouldn’t be returning as there is much better Thai and same or prices elsewhere. We had a 20% off winter special but even then it was $26 a head for overall average food.
