Andre & Debbie are very nice people and owners. I visited their shop on the first or second week that they've opened up. First visit I ordered the fried chicken (a classic & specialty in my opinion), I come from a hometown where they serve the best fried chicken in the world, so I can (humbly) say that my standard for fried chicken is very high, been eating it since 4 years old to date. Soon, after years of living in Melbourne.. i've finally found a favorite fried chicken spot. Later on.. this opens up and it has definitely topped my other fried chicken spot too! - Recently I gave it a second visit to give the burgers a try, pretty delicious too, but if you ask me.. I'm a bit of an old school fried chicken man. So its all about the fried chicken! I may sound crazy but the love is real & true. When I return again, it will always be the fried chicken, so my recommendation is... always start with the fried chicken; classic! A specialty is a specialty for a reason (; --- Thanks for the amazing food/chicken guys, you saved my life and see you soon!

You think the Zesty wings is good? Try the Chicken with Attitude burger and you will be blown away! Its got a massive piece of juicy fried chicken, add some honey mustard/wasabi sauce, it is divine!
Felt like fried chicken tonight but wanted something more than the usual offerings. Decided to try Socal Chicks and was blown away by their generosity and hospitality. The chicken portions are huge, tender and tasty. Got to try two of their salads (all of them looked good) and they were amazing. So good! Will def be back. Full but happy.
Tender, juicy with just the right amount of crunch paired with honey and hit sauce; what not to love? The crazy looking sidewinder fries add a bit of a twist to generous helping of divine chicken. Will be coming back!
Easily the best fried chicken in Melbourne. It is so juicy yet crispy, I bet it's the buttermilk they use. Highly recommend you visit SoCal chicks and try the zesty chicken and the sunset strips oh and side winder fries. Service is wonderful too!

Great tasting food with generous portions for a great price. The chicken burger did not disappoint. I loved it! I will be heading back for some more chicken soon.
Second time eating SoCal Chicks, 1st was eating in with 7 of us and tonight I got take away, as you can see we got the large packs, great value, I have a long drive and the chicken was brilliant when we unpacked it. Oh my gosh.... we just had delivery from here and wow. We were not expecting what we got... mountains of crispy chicken. Mountains of spicy and zingy chicken breast... mountains of crispy fries and condiments.
It was way too generous! We have an entire 6 pack of tenders and fries left over. Something we are not used to; so many stingy places around charging $20 for a couple of tenders and fries... just incredible.
We will 100% be back to try more and more!
The best fried chicken you'll find in melbourne. The only place where I've actually seen biscuits as an option in a fried chicken place. Very generous size proportions.
Wow! Good food, and must try the zesty chicken... so tasty. But be warned - portion sizes a generous. Salads were delicious and complimented the foods. Definitely will go back and the fam enjoyed it.
my husband and I went there today and first off i gotta say the owners are very friendly and welcoming. I lived in the states myself for 10 years and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. the chicken wings were crispy with amazing hot sauce i know from the states and we also had the family pack. the chicken was fried to perfection. super crispy skin and juicy on the inside.
I can recommend this place very much. If you are in the mood for great chicken, you have to give this place a try.
Southern Style Crispy Fried Chicken. 100% recommended.
The chicken was freshly prepared and was still hot and crispy after a 10 min walk home with well thought of packaging. The Chicken was juicy and just the right amount of greasy you would expect from a sinful deep fried southern chicken. The sauces provided were great too.
The chips which came with the meal were surprisingly really tasty and the combination of the 2 was just perfect.
Overall it hit the spot with my craving and most definitely will return. Friendly staff was an added bonus which made it even better.
Honestly never give reviews. But felt compelled to after my meal. Been twice, and never disappointed. Value for money is supperb. Chicken is tender tasty and perfectly cooked. Chips delicious, and overall just a fantastic meal. Will definitely be coming back whenever I have a craving for fried chicken. Lucky to have this in my area

My family and I were blown away the 1st time we come here for a quick bite to eat with some friends! Our 2nd time, was even more amazing, my boys loved the crispy chicken and those curly fries (yummmm). Hubby and I had the zesty chicken wings, finger licking sauce and the chicken super moist and cooked to perfection. The staff/owner are super friendly. We live 45 minutes away from this superb place, long drive for chicken, but so freaking worth it! You definitely have to give SoCalChickens a try😉 see you guys next time! I will also we posting the photo I took on my FB page so my friends can come in and say hi and try your amazing chicken.

What a fantastic experience. Incredibly friendly atmosphere and the fried chicken is exactly what Malvern needs. Great flavour with excellent spice. Salads were fresh Chips were crispy. Very happy they are here.
