We ordered Sam Sam’s original Korean fried chicken as part of our meal delivery from Market Seoul Seoul. It came cold and packed in a sealed container. I didn’t have an air fryer so I heated the chicken up in the oven. It was crunchy on the outside and still juicy on the inside. I liked the flavour of the chicken. Next time I’ll try another flavour.

love that KFC doesn’t need to be an elaborate meal here, you can just order a single serving to satisfy your cravings.
Sam sam, with its catchy name and cute branding, is fast becoming a household name for Korean food in Melbourne. A wing combo with a side and drink would only sets you back $12 which is pretty value for me!
The fried chicken itself was crunchy without being overwhelmingly oily. They got their chips right too - the shoestring version came with an addictive mayo sauce. radish was also very fresh and delightful to finish. Not my hands down favourite Korean place in town, but a convenient and formidable option at the QV food court (guys, don’t just eat dragon hot pot there!) fair warning tho - its self-service.

Korean FRIED CHICKEN is SUPER GOOD! There are a lot of sauce you can choose but for me the SOY GARLIC one is the best! On the other hand, kimchi loaded fries is okay. Its good but not amazingly-good if you know what i mean. Didnt get a chance to take a photo of the KIMCHI FRIED RICE, but you should def order it!! 5/5
This is a cute and dainty alternative to the dine-in Sam Sam. This concept is nice and quick and perfect for grabbing a bite on the go. I ordered a variety of items and kept coming back to order some more!
I visited on 26.03.19 and ordered their set. I had boneless soy and garlic chicken with a side of corn and a potato twister. That came to $15.5. Not bad but a little pricey. The chicken was a hit, the potato twister was a little plain and corn was interestingly spiced with mayo and another type of salt. Overall I would visit again to try the other flavours and wings.
C: In line with our love of Korean food, Samsam express doesn’t disappoint. It is very accessible in QV, the food is fast and very convenient to carry around. My favourite is their Bimbimbap as the flavours and vegetables all mix together well. It’s not the most eye opening experience but you will get what you expect with Korean food.
L: The chicken is delicious but can be sticky depending on what flavour and cut of chicken you choose. I got the sweet chilli with wings so as expected, your hands get sticky real fast. Their $3 potato twist doesn’t disappoint and is a great go to snack that’s cheap and yummy. The compact tteokbokki dish for under $5 is a great snack when you’re on the go.
Love the concept of "expressing" Korean Fried Chicken meal as a lunch item. Ordered two sauces for the chicken : Soy, garlic, spring onion and sweet chili. The soy sauce tasted fresh due to the presence of horseradish-y flavor in it. Pickled daikon enhanced its freshness all the more. Nice coleslaw as a side. Overall, it was a fresh lunch despite all the fried stuffs.
Have had lunch here a few times. It's great if you want to have your fried chicken and rice fix. Chicken had good flavours and was crispy enough.
We walked past this place and the decor and branding instantly caught our eye. The restaurant was busy with an after work crowd, so we were excited to see what the hype was about. The restaurant is split over two levels and had a casual atmosphere. Recommended for a cheap date night or friends catching up. Service was quick and we enjoyed the Beef Bibimbap and the very HOT Seafood soup. The soup was definitely a stand out, but they are not exaggerating when they say this is chill! Keen to go back and try their fried chicken wings, as this seemed to be their signature dish everyone around us were devouring.

Good food for a quick lunch.
Taste can be compared to Gami.
Ordered chicken with rice for just $12.80.
I ordered chicken rice. It was A$12.80. Delicious. You can choose your flavour.

Sam sam, with its catchy name and cute branding, is fast becoming a household name for Korean food in Melbourne. Pricing seems quite value for money - it’s a $15 meal
